I just ate really good Chinese food here. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, mongolian beef, lo mein, and dumplings. All of the dishes were made well and tasted fresh. When I bit into the sweet and sour chicken, I saw how fresh and juicy the meet was. It was not oozing out grease...thank goodness! The sauce that came with it made it taste even better. I'm glad that it was on the side instead of all over the chicken. I got to choose how much sauce I wanted on the chicken. My mongolian beef was chewy and so delicious. It's worth the extra money. The lo mein and the dumplings were great too! I don't want to make this review too long. I can go on and on. Thanks, Asian Express!!! I will be coming back soon~ d^_^b

They have really cheap deal. Amazing Egg roll. A lot of good foods. Really recommend. The service also is the best. Mongolian beef, orange chicken, a lot of real chinese food. I ordered Party tray from there. It is really good deal

Ok I'm writing this in case anyone else who moves here from someplace with a real Asian population might think this is actually Chinese food: it's not. I'm not trying to put down other reviews that love it. But you need to know It's nothing like any Chinese food I've had in NY or San Francisco, Hawaii or even Denver or Omaha. I've lived in 40 states and 3 other countries and never had anything this disappointing. The people running it are very nice, the prices are ok, and the food is fresh, but it is not Chinese or Asian at all. No soy sauce, hoisin, ginger or hot pepper. In fact, no flavor to speak of at all. So just have your expectations set before you order here.

Consistently amazing quality and taste! My family and I have been going to this place for months and we have never been disappointed. The variety of food usually means one or the other lacks behind, BUT that is not what Asian Express does. Specifically recommend the general tso chicken, mooshoo pork, and anything else on the menu really. Wonderful family business that has a respectable business mindset.

Got spicy squid combo last time I went. Its the special right now. It wasnt that great. And their seafood soup seemed like a bunch of imitation crab floating around in some flavorless broth. But most of the time the food is great. Their mei fun and lo mein is delicious.

This place is everything you want for Chinese takeout. The Orange Chicken is crunch with a delicious sauce that isn't too heavy or too sweet, and dried chilis right in the sauce. They offer brown rice too! Very happy I found this gem.

The food is great. My fiance is picky aboit his seseme chicken and liked it, my sister and her friend got some other chicen dish and the portions were generous. They did mess up our order, so it was frustrating to go back and get it fixed. They weren't apologetic about it or seem to care. I got the shrimp and broccoli in brown sauce and it was great, however my portion wasn't as big as everyone elses, but still amazing and filling. The combos come with options of sides, they don't tell you that we caught it on the menu, so make sure you are specific. I would order here again and be more specific and have everything repeated twice. Rating the food is a 5 star, the service and inconvenience of not being told our options or messing up our order would be a 2 star.

Stopped in yesterday,to pickup some food. Ordered chicken Pad Thai, that was not great. Asian Express is not bad for Chinese food, but they cannot pull off Thai food! The sauce was extremely salty and lacked any sort of "flavor". My wife and I split the entree but ended up tossing about half in the bin! Sorry I chose to order from AE

If you want AUTHENTIC Chinese, Asian Express is the place to go. Some may claim they know authentic Chinese food, but they probably don't. If they are not Chinese themselves, they can't really say it is not authentic. Just saying. I have not been able to find just a legit Chinese restaurant in the Rochester area. I usually don't write reviews, but I do when I think it is important to. At first, I was skeptical about going here because of some of the reviews that I read (and because there were only a few of them), but I learned that sometimes you need to try it for yourself first. It's a no brainer that every restaurant has their bad days. C'mon, people. I am glad that I decided to take the leap and try the food here. According to their website, they offer a TON of options. My favorite items, though, are Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Lo Mein, and Fried Rice. Their crab rangoons and dumplings are good too. I have to admit, they can be busy, so it may take longer sometimes to get your food. But usually they are pretty fast. Well, that's all I gotta say.

Pretty awful. I had the chicken and fried rice plate. Chicken was flat, mushy, and pale like it was pounded and boiled. It was swimming in a dark runny sauce. The fried rice was barely fried. It was lightly brown and seemed more like steamed rice. To top it off, the lady working the place was wearing one latex glove and doing everything with it on (handling money, cleaning tables, handing out utensils, and serving food). The lack of proper cleanliness is what really did it for me. Disappointing.

Great service, better food. Small place but I like it better like that to avoid the noise and just enjoy some good asian food

Ordered from here at 3 pm today. Was informed it would be an hour, which I assumed was on the safe side considering it was the middle of the afternoon. Received food at 4:15 pm. Food was mediocre. I had the orange chicken, egg roll, and hot and sour soup, and wasn't particularly impressed at any of it.

This place is just outstanding for a takeout restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious, fresh, perfectly flavored, and prepared quickly. Assistance is prompt and helpful, and understanding of order changes/additions. As if the prices weren't already outstanding, they regularly offer really great specials. The one time my order took longer than estimated - because I ordered something extra, no less - they gave me free cookies for the wait. Although it's obviously a takeout restaurant, there are a few booths in case you want to eat in. The counter staff brought the food to our table, and even brought us water refills when there weren't other customers ordering. We went to tip him thinking he was waiting on us, and he said, "oh, no - I just wasn't doing anything else, so I thought I'd bring some out to you." I could not recommend this place more highly to anyone.

There really aren't many good Chinese options in this area, so I decided to give this takeout place a chance. And it was pretty good! I ordered the Szechuan style sliced pork and an order of the potstickers. Potstickers are hard to mess up and these did not disappoint, the portions were huge and it could have been a meal on it's own. The pork was very good as well and was actually spicy. I eat a lot of spicy food so I tend to find Chinese food is never spicy, so I was pleasantly surprised at this dish. Asian Express is fairly cheap and the food is good - if you need Chinese takeout it really is the only option around anyways, at least you know it is good.

Order every Tuesday Nite, this place can be better, I've ordered the last three times and they always end up mixing up my order!! I won't order there anymore, I order chicken fried rice and I found egg shells in it, when I called to tell them the lady was like we don't use eggs!! Really???? Poor Customer Service!!!

Finally!! A decent Chinese takeout. I've been searching high and low all across the area for some decent Chinese. The service is quick and the food is fresh and pretty tasty. While it is primarily takeout, there are some small booths for those who want to eat in.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
