Out of all the coneys on fort street, this is surely the best one! And I have tried all of them multiple times. Leo's, is way over priced, wild coney is slow and not good service, and Parthenon may have a nice restaurant but their food does not measure up to zorbas!! Zorbas has great service and food. You get a lot for what you pay for. Small restaurant though; so it's often extremely busy but you can always order carry out!! But it is worth the wait.

One of my favorite little cheapy, 24/7 Metro-Detroit, post MJR breakfast dives. Let me walk you through it..you sit down order your food, and roughly 4 minutes later it is in front of you piping hot and delicious. I miss this place!

Their chili cheese fries and mozzarella cheese sticks are amazing! Destiny's one of the best servers there. A definite destination for late night munchies. .. You will probably see alot of people from the area since they all know that this is the place to go. They have drive thru take out which is so convenient. The manager is very kind and he has been there for years and years. I remember going here in middle school and the food has gotten even better since then. So I've been going here for probably around 10 years. I'm addicted to the ranch, delicious!

Love this place! Besides all of the great things we've tried, my favorite is the country fried steak breakfast.

I'm in love with Zorbas! It's not the cleanest looking place but, the food is amazing! The staff there is very nice. Best coney place downriver!

This is the best coney around here ! The hot dogs are tender yet crispy casing and the chili Id yummy. You can't beat the price it's cheap and oh so yummy. The ham and cheese on onion roll is very good as well. Every time I have been here in 25 years the food is consistent . I recommend this place for a coney .

Great food - very good prices. Only complaint is the place is too small. When the booths are full I go somewhere else.

If you are looking for that small cozy coney island that your Grandpa would take you to- Zorba's is it. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly with the manager always hanging about the counter area. Given that it is a small-time joint, the lack of any HDTV presence or wifi is a killer when you want to waste some time with some friends. Time to move on up to 2013 folks!

This is the only place worthwhile to eat in downriver after midnight. The breakfasts and coneys are top notch. They use Dearborn brand meat products. They have recently updated their menu to give more choices for desserts as 2 or 3 other coney islands have opened in the same vicinity, and they may have been feeling the pressure. Not as large a menu as some places and that works in our favor as the food is always fresh. They may have an off night now and then but this is still the best coney island downriver. Best of all, unlike other all night coney islands downriver, you actually feel safe in this one when you are dining in the wee hours.

Night owl here. I decided to come here after reading reviews for late night spots in the area, so yes it was my first time. I pulled into the rear to park and seen an employee with an apron on in the back smoking. No biggy I used to smoke so hey he needs his nicotine fix. I approached where he was standing to get to the entrance and seen he was digging for GOLD out of his nose. I literally shuddered and turned around. With a moment of hesitation I thought well hey he could be the dishwasher. After turning around once again he was STILL DIGGING FOR GOLD I played it off and asked him for the time told him my cell phone was dead yea I lied but I had to know. My next question to him as he wiped some GOLD on his apron so he could check his watch I asked if he was a cook. "YES" he replies, I accidentally said in disgust out loud "Uuuugh Noooo". This fool laughed. I left sorry I can't. lmao!

Oh Zorba's. If you live downriver, you know what Zorba's is, you've been there drunk at 2:30 am, or maybe for a hangover-cure in the morning. I used to go here literally all the time. It is a coney island, and as far as coney islands go, this is a 4 star coney joint. Service is super friendly (most of the time), you're always sweetie or honey there. They do have a drive through window and do takeout, so if you work midnights this is a great place to get lunch from. Food... Well, the coney dogs are good, slathered in chili. Fries are good, I always ask for my extra crispy. Chili cheese fries are great. They have good soups too, but they take them off the burners early so if you stop in at 1 or 2 am don't expect to get soup. They still have chili then though. Speaking of the chili, you can literally buy the chili in frozen blocks. They have an awesome grilled chicken salad. Greek salad is also delicious. Breakfast...breakfast is amazing. Hash browns are my favorite of anywhere, bacon is awesome (Again I ask for this extra crispy too). The burgers are also pretty awesome. Pretty much anything you get from Zorba's is guaranteed to be good. They don't do desserts, they only have rice pudding for dessert. And it's genuine coney island prices. You can get breakfast and a soda for easily under $10. They also have specials every day before 11pm. Oh, and Tammy, the waitress, is the sweetest lady in the world! Be extra nice to her.

Moved from the area but still worth the drive, really good prices and the food has always been consistently good.

Zorba's Coney Island is a sweet little hole-in-wall type diner located in Riverview, Michigan. If you were coming toward it in the day time, you might not even notice it. The teal banner around the roof of the building is almost generic in that area - There are many other Coney Islands and bars on that stretch of road. However, in the dark, you can't miss it. The teal is neon-lit, and the windows give a soft glow and a clear glance at what's inside. Zorba's is a very homey 24-hour diner. The neutral-colored diner fits about forty people, with a spacious kitchen and back washing area, and decently sized bathrooms. The seats are comfortable around the booths, and while the two-seater booths in the middle of the restaurant may be a bit awkward, they're also very comfortable to sit in. There are always at least two waitresses on a shift, but the one I find most pleasing is a young woman by the name of Marina, who mostly works the "Bar shift". She's always wearing a smile and has a cheerful disposition. She recognizes her customers after their being there only three or four times - Which, believe me, is a great feat. She genuinely cares to know when she asks how you're doing, and is very prompt on drink refills and making sure you have everything you need, even with her tables filled to capacity. Zorba's menu offers a wide variety, a lot of which is homemade in their kitchen. My favorite, the burgers, are grilled well-done, unless asked for otherwise, and taste wonderful. Never dry, but they also don't drip the grease that you would see elsewhere. They're served with crisp lettuce, and juicy pickles and tomatoes. You can also deluxe your burger and get fries and a side of cole-slaw. However, they also offer things such as gyros, fish and chips, coney dogs, quesadillas, and much more. Overall, I would definitely recommend Zorba's to a friend or acquaintance. This diner has excellent comfort food, wonderful service, and just a nice aura in general. It's not a place you leave as soon as you scarf down your last bite and pay the bill. It's a place to grab a bite, have a conversation, and enjoy the company of others.

This place doesn't try to be anything that it is not. Here's my take on Zorba's: late-night nourishment. I've been here at strange hours of the day/night and the food is consistently good. Coney Island = midwestern-version of the diner. I don't even want to know how many $$$'s I've poured into their coffers. Cheers to Zorba's!

Zorbas Coney Island used to be my favorite Cony Island in Downriver, Mi. Lately however their quality has gone way down in food and in the employee's they hire. It's sad but the owners have fallen into the trap of being a mediocre Coney Island restaurant in region of the state where there is literally a Coney place every 5 miles and in case of Zorbas two with in less than a mile. They made a name for themselves by having friendly people on staff, good food, and being open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, however they are quickly becoming known for being rude and having a dirty restaurant. Last time I was in Riverview visiting my family, my fiancé and I decided to go and eat their the night before we left to go back home to San Francisco. Our flight was leaving at 5 AM in the morning and so we went there to have a late night dinner after some drinks with some friends we had not seen in a long time. I was excited because I have always thought that Zorbas had the best Coney Dog's in Downriver Mi, and in San Francisco Coney Dogs and Chili Dogs are almost non existent. When I walked inside I was carrying an almost finished can or Red Bull and was yelled at and embarrassed by the wait staff. They said I couldn't come into the restaurant unless I tossed my can. I tried explaining to them that I was almost finished with it and it was not going to detour me from ordering a cup of coffee or a Coca Cola and that I had a flight to catch early in the morning and that I was just trying to stay caffeinated. They did not care and they made a huge scene about it so I did as I was asked. When we were finally were seated we were taken to a booth that had milk and food spilled all over the floor beneath the table. It seemed like the "caring staff" were so involved with personal lives, where they were going to get their trailer trash hair bleached, and the juicy gossip of the coworkers, that they forgot that needed to actually clean the tables and floor after their customers were finished eating and have left the restaurant. When I saw this I didn't even stick around to eat the food. I glanced around an noticed that our booth was not the only one like this. I told my fiancé that we were leaving and wait staff acted as if it was because I was mad about the Red Bull fiasco. In truth I was worried that if we ate the food that we would get sick during our flight. I'm not in the habit of eating at places where there is just as much food on the floor as their on peoples plates. Zorbas was never a dirty restaurant or one with bad service but seems things have changed in the 3 years that I been gone from the city of Riverview. Perhaps the economy is taking a toll on them and workers but it's sad to see such a great place revert to mediocrity.

Review update....my first 5 or 6 experiences here were pleasant and the food was considered average or above average depending on the menu item. Then as the years went on, the food quality started to decline. I have eaten here about 50 times since this spot is located close to my office. This past time was my last time. The chicken within their grilled chicken salad taste like pickles and is dry. Yes, pickles....weird. Their lettuce is brown and the salad itself consisted mostly of the brown lettuce; no other veggies added. This last time wasn't the first time their food has been underwhelming; it's been going on for quite some time. Their burgers, which I used to enjoy, are sooooooo greasy now that your bun is a wet mess. Their french fries seem like they have been re-fried twenty times over and the list goes on. I am not sure if they just let themselves go, have new management, have a new cook, or what but regardless their reasons, I am done. The downhill slope they were on has come to an end; I am done. Blah!

Been going to Zorba's for decades now, and it is an honest place to eat. Nothing fancy here, but it is clean, the service is excellent and the food is good. The dining room is small, so there may not be room for your large group. You can expect the same level of quality at 3 am as you get at 3 pm.
