I go to Jimmy Johns quite a bit. I like this location a lot! There is a drive thru, lots of space, and speedy service. Above all, great sandwiches & kosher chips! One thing I don't like is the parking. There are only 4 front parking spaces, one being handicap, and it is shared with Baskin Robins customers. There is also a ton of parking places behind the building or next door at Main St. I just don't like walking from behind the building because your walking in the drive thru area and it's super busy. I wasn't comfortable walking in the busy parking lot with a new baby with 2 other children. To conclude, "if your sandwich doesn't hit the spot, then there is something seriously wrong with your spot."

Jimmy Johns has been slowly building it's presence in Kalamazoo County and this is a great spot for their latest restaurant. For the folks living on the south end of Portage this is a great location to avoid the Westnedge traffic north of Romence. Better yet this is the first JJ's I've been to that has a drive thru. I've only know two people who don't like Jimmy John's and I think their taste buds are warped. I don't usually latch onto franchises but JJ's has successful conquered many of my late night food cravings. My go to here is typically the number 12 on white aka the "beach club" aka the turkey guacamole. The bread is always fresh and a french bread consistency that will almost always make me choose JJ over a Subway locale. It's also good with wheat bread but that takes a sandwich (not a sub) form. Even the day old bread for sale is worth grabbing if you want to make a little something at home later. The bread doesn't last much longer than the following day which if anything attests to it's lack of preservatives. My alternative is the #9 Italian Night club. The taste is a bit more unique because it uses capicola which tends to be slightly more rare among mainstream subs. As always the employees here are friendly and get the sandwiches out quickly and efficiently.

Freaky Fast, how about freaky slow. I've given this location three different tries and each time major slow, both inside and drive thru. Plus, each time my order has been screwed up. Will not return to this location! Location down two miles is much better!!

Jimmy johns is an absolute favorite of my household..!! When this location opened I was so excited!! but after being open for many months and visiting the location often, I am constantly disappointed with the extremely slow service of their drive-through... It is definitely not freaky fast..! O and is it to much to ask for a napkin? The food is consistent and good Quality...

Before this store opened I never had any problems with ordering a sandwich and having it delivered to my house. Once this location opened Jimmy John's redefined their delivery zones. Now, despite having 2 locations that each 2 miles away, I can no longer get delivery service because I live 200 feet too far west. I understand the need to live up to their "freak fast service" tagline. I don't understand why they are no longer willing to drive more than 4 minutes from their stores (this was the time quoted to me by their manager). That seems like an exceptionally small service area to me. Their food is fine, nothing special. The convenience of ordering is the only reasons why we ever ate here in the first place and since they have now eliminated that there is no reason to eat here anymore.
