Erberts and Gerberts is DEFINATLEY BETTER than Jimmy Johns!!! At E&G, they have more of a variety of toppings, as well as homemade soups which are outstanding!! The staff is friendly and keeps the store looking clean, and keeps all the products kept up how it should be. I would chose Erberts and Gerberts over Jimmy Johns any day!!! BTW Im not even sure why Subway is still around, nobody ever goes their and its def not worth your money. Where E&G you can get a sandwhich for as low as $5.59 or less, and they have kid choices. If you havent had them yet, you need to try them out to understand how amazing they really are!!

I went there for the first time last week. During my entrance to the restaurant, one of the employees ran over a bag of chips with chip cart he was stocking... Then he proceeded to put the bag of smashed floor chips back on the cart. Not cool. Will never be back.

Erbert and Gerbert is a great alternative to Jimmy Johns and Subway, both of which I'm not so keen on. Their sandwiches are excellent, the meal deal is worth the money, and their company keeps their politics out of their food - really smart move. They have a sandwich club and they sell day-old bread which is super-cheap and very high quality all on it's own.

Kind of like an upscale Subway, Erbert and Gerbert's plays on a similar scenario where a sandwich artisan will construct your glorious sub sandwich with upscale deli meat on freshly made bread. The spin here is that they offer the "insides" of your hollowed our bun as a garnish; perhaps that you can tear up and toss into your hearty soup. The inside of this particular place is tiny to say the least, with little space to squeeze into your seat without ramming your hip into the back of the chair behind you. The bathroom is clean and the place overall is as well. I'm a fan and I intend to come here a bit more often.

This is a subtle change from the other sandwich shops in the area. I try not to be a too much creature of habit when it comes to lunch choices and always welcome bit of competition. This sandwich shop put itself right in the middle of the hornet's nest with several established competitors only a stone's throw away. I've been back a few times not only to change things up but because they're menu has enough good items to justify my patronage. My son also likes their food. Recommendations: There are a couple of good sandwiches that are worth checking out. I like the Titan. It's pesto and turkey and one of their signature sandwiches. They give you the extra bread removed from the middle separately in case you want an extra gluten fix. The employees are by no means an engaging bunch but not unhelpful or unfriendly either. They just kind of do their jobs. The restaurant itself is tidy and despite a fairly limited seating area there has always been room to sit down. I'm not sure how well this sub shop will do with neighboring Subway and Jimmy John's but respect the fact they're going toe to toe with the big boys.

Updated Nov 2013: I sent an email to corporate and they responded immediately, plus mailed me $10 in free food. Apparently I had a trainee that screwed up the order. Went 2 more times and each time was great.

Everything about this place was ok. The service was ok, friendly but not particularly personable. The location was ok, right on Westnedge, but across from Crossroads Drive so annoying to get in and out of. My turkey sandwich was ok, but nothing special. The restaurant was clean enough, but very small and with limited seating. There wasn't really much atmosphere or anything else to set it apart from the many other sandwich shops in the area, which is a shame. I guess I was hoping that with such a fun name and logo it would be something more than ok.

Very good sandwiches and soup. Stopped by for a quick lunch and was very pleased with service. We had the spartan sandwich with cream of wild rice chicken soup which went real well together.

Not sure what to make of this place. The sandwiches are good, as are the soups. However, I'm not sure if they're any better or worse than a Jimmy John's or something similar. My wife and I each ordered the "Couple Up" - half of a sandwich and a cup of soup. Having been brainwashed by Subway for the last 20 years, my interpretation of a "full" sandwich is 12", while a "half" sandwich is 6". Is this always right? Of course not. The half sandwich in this case is 4". It is well-filled, but not overflowing with ingredients, and does not feel as large as something from Subway. Ingredients seem to be quality and were tasty. But it *felt* small. Sadly, my family of 4 (2 adults, a 4 1/2 yr old and a 3 yr old) walked out for $25 and both of the grownups were still hungry. Might be back, might not. Probably won't go out of my way, though. Only other issue to note - seating is limited, at least at this location. You'll find 5 tables for 2 and 2 tables for 4. Plan accordingly.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. I got a Narmer, which is supposed to have had avocado on it, but the only sign I could find, was a paste like spread. I think they have given their sandwiches funky names in hopes that makes them taste better. My husband got the Tullius, which was supposed to have double roast beef. He wondered what a single serving would be, because it sure didn't seem to be double quantity. To me, this is nothing more than a cold lunch meat sandwich, with shredded lettuce. Not worth the almost 20 bucks we spent for 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks.
