Great atmosphere and delicious! Creative dining options and yummy food. For kids, you can order ala carte. I had the Southwest Stew it was crispy and delicious. The sausage was smoky and the sour cream sauce had a little spice. Next time I will try the Korean BBQ chicken and waffles. Our server was friendly and offered great service. We will be back!

This place cares about your experience. So many times we focus on the food but forget about the service or vice versa. This is a non-chain small locally owned and operated business that just does breakfast and lunch. Tiffany herself came out and checked on our dining experience and even chatted with us. I could see the passion in her as u see her run around from table to table in the restaurant like a bee pollinating flowers. The menu was creative and I'm looking forward to giving this business another go.

This place was "ok". From the reviews though, I had expected perfection. The place seemed to have the things that it needs to make it something special... a caring proprietor, great looking dished, hopping atmosphere, but ultimately it fell flat compared to other places in Kalamazoo. Be prepared for a 30 minute wait, and for a VERY noisy establishment. The place looks great, but they need to get some noise reduction installed to eliminate some of the echos. The best item that we had was the Korean chicken and waffle. Great flavor profile. Avoid the chicken fried steak. They don't do anything special with it, and the gravy is a little bit bland.

I stopped in Tiffiny's Monday for a late breakfast with a friend after driving by for a year or so and seeing a lot of cars in front of the restaurant. Each time I dove by I thought they must know something I don't. Well they did. The restaurant is small but warm, cozy, new, colorful green wall with a daily special chalkboard, artfully written. This is so not your average breakfast place/joint. It is a very good casual cafe. The waitress asked if we had been there before, so she explained the popular items to us. I did remember hearing about the breakfast stews being a favorite but couldn't imagine stew for breakfast. I had the greek stew. It was fabulous, almost like a scramble, but the hash browns are mixed with the eggs along with feta, mushrooms, onions and small pieces of meat. Then a tzatziki sauce is drizzled over the top. They come in two sizes. I would recommend getting the smaller one. I ordered the large, it was huge, but I ate it anyway it was so good. My friend went the boring route with scrambled eggs, bacon and has browns. It was good but not fabulous. The bonus is they have GLUTEN FREE toast!! Thank you Tiffiny for thinking of us out there. Water Street coffee too is always good. This will be my to go to breakfast place. Or lunch. The lunch menu looked good. It is a pleasant place to eat any time of day.

Lovely breakfast spot! I tried the raspberry cream cheese French toast and it was delicious. My son had the chocolate chip pancakes and the size was generous. We will be back to sample more dishes.

Had a great lunch here. The food came out nice and hot and was very tasty. The staff was also super nice and even offered to just give me a few quinoa patties on the side because I just wanted to taste it. I wound up getting the korean bbq chicken and waffles which blew my mind. Salty, sweet, crunchy and soft all at the same time. Add a little bit of hot sauce to it (which i did of course) and you have a killer dish. I also tried their quinoa patties which tasted pretty good but I wasn't blown away by it. It's a very cute and cozy place and seat yourself dining. If I'm ever back in Kalamazoo MI I think I'd want to try out some other menu items.

I really like this place for a few reasons: 1. They have gluten free options...including gluten free toast that can be made into GF French toast sticks for the kids. Awesome. 2. It is very kid friendly. 3. Raspberry cream cheese French toast and Java French toast. Yum. 4. They serve Waterstreet coffee. This is a new "regular" spot for us.

Judging by the other reviews, my two bad experiences aren't the norm, but our breakfast last week was so disappointing I have to comment. We stopped at 10 am on a weekday glad to see it wasn't too busy. After taking a seat we were offered menus and told out server would be right over. He came by, took our drink order, and disappeared. When he came back with one of two drinks we placed our order and laughed that we were destined for bad experiences here, based on our first go around months back. When the food finally arrived it was delicious and the portions were generous, but the lousy service killed the meal. Then it took longer to get our bill then it did to get the food. I would much rather support a place like this than a chain, and good help is hard to find, but it may be a few months before we try again.

We came here today with the thought that there wouldn't be too many people on a Monday... Presidents Day. We we wrong; the place was packed; but there was only 1 waitress for the whole place so I had a hunch it would be a less than desirable experience. This immediately became an issue because of the time it took to be served, place our order and get a refill on beverages. When the food arrived, it was barely warm at best... And it looked amazing (see pic). The tamale was amazing, but the rest wasn't up to par. I had a tiny little portion of huevos rancheros with an equally tiny portion of black bean salsa. My wife had a waffle platter which was enormous; with 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and a waffle. The waffle went back because it was cold, but was quickly replaced with a new hot one, which was very good. The menu is great, the staff is friendly and I suspect that it was just an off day, so we shall try again another time.

I'm digging this place! *Great menu selection with decent prices. *Decent environment. Cozy but a little tight. *Quick and good service--a manager came to everyone's table to say good morning * Flavored creamer!!!!! (Yes, this excites me) * Clean bathroom * No wait to be seated at 8:45am on a Sunday morning The only wrong doing today was they forgot my butter and syrup for pancakes and also gave me a new ketchup bottle without opening it for us. No big deal! I wouldn't mark them down for it. My overall experience would be 4.5 if I were able to give that score :D

I walked in and was immediately greeted with a "hello" and a friendly smile. The interior of the restaurant has inviting colors and decor. You can seat yourself which I prefer. I always look for something unique on a menu that makes a locale stand out. The breakfast specialty here is the breakfast stews. They are a potato based and topped with eggs and whatever other ingredients that make up that particular variation. The Legendary is their recommendation but with three types of pork I decided to opt for something with a bit less meat. The Southwest has a great taste, a bit of spice but not too much. We also had the Hippie and substituted the cheese blend with feta. I'd suggest a bit more seasoning of the potatoes themselves in the stew entrees. Making the potatoes a bit crispier could also be an option. Overall, a great tasting generous portion of food if you've got a big appetite. They serve Waterstreet coffee which is a great idea and already puts them a notch higher than an average breakfast/lunch spot. Service was excellent. The coffee and water cups were kept filled and the staff was attentive and hard working. I'm happy to see a place like this in the neighborhood and wish them success!

This restaurant is a sight for sore eyes if you live in the area, particularly out in Texas Township. I know there are a couple other options for breakfast within a reasonable drive of here, but Breakfast at Tiffiny's feels refreshing and it feels like I can run out to breakfast without making a proper "trip" "into town". Does that make me weird? Maybe. They serve Water Street Coffee, which is cool. Full disclosure: I've only eaten one meal there, and I suppose I should kick the tires a bit more, but that being said I enjoyed my meal. I had the pancake wrap, which basically takes most of the things you would normally order for breakfast and wraps them in a pancake. You can (and should) top the beast with syrup(!) to offset a little dryness in addition to the general lack of syrup in the dish. It looks like they have some "scramble"-type dishes that look really good, too. Someone go try one of those and report back! Our server was kind, attentive, generous with coffee refills. No complaints! I would love to see this place stick around and continue to liven up this part of Centre St.

I went there for the very first time a few days ago with a family member and when I walked in, I immediately noticed how nice the decor was. The waitress who helped us was very nice and attending. The manager also came out to greet every customer in the restaurant. We ordered the Korean BBQ Chicken and waffles, Country Fried Steak, and Raspberry Cream Cheese French Toast. Oh my! I would definitely order the Korean BBQ Chicken and Waffle again! The waffle was delicious and the korean bbq chicken was so flavorful. The country fried steak came with hash, eggs, and bread. That was nice and hearty. The raspberry cream cheese french toast was also good. It's pretty much french toast with raspberry cream cheese drizzled on it. It was okay. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Delicious breakfast specials, along with the usual American Breakfast options. Huge salads with legit greens, no iceberg lettuce!!!! Cute little place for a casual breakfast/lunch!! They make a good cup of coffee, too! Will be back, for sure!

First time at the new locale in Portage. It's nice that the menu is basically the same as it had been with a few new items added, perhaps to address the preferences of that neighborhood. The food is always good, the decor is nice, and the service that morning was terrific. The dining area was full so it was a bit loud, but other than that, Tiffiny's is a dependable place for a nice breakfast.

Becoming a regular stop for us on this side of town on Saturday mornings after karate. Friendly, accommodating service in a slightly-too-loud room, which is my only complaint. Fresh, well-made food from a thoughtful, creative menu. Korean BBQ chicken and waffle is excellent, not greasy or excessively heavy. The Breakfast Stew is my go-to breakfast. Have never gone wrong here.

This place is very close to where I live so I really, really wanted to like it. Alas, after three or four tries I have finally decided I'm not going back. The food is not good. The pancakes tasted like they were microwaved (rubbery). The gravy and biscuits didn't taste anywhere near homemade. The hash browns weren't anything to write home about. My friend tried to order several items that were on the menu but the server said they actually didn't serve anymore. Also, the set up of the restaurant makes it very loud and cramped. It has a high ceiling and the tables are very close together, so it can be very difficult to hear people at your same table.

Big eaters kind of restaurant or not if you're looking for the usual breakfast. For your first time, try the half order - Legendary Stew w/ side of gravy and add peppers and onions. Next... Go home and burn it off! Good Water Street coffee. Drink three cups, it's pricey for one cup. Don't bring your Beaners cup in there - That would be tacky! Good service, clean and friendly place.

Historically long waits & now they are taking reservations the waits are even longer. Food is ok but it's just breakfast folks.

GO HERE. My husband and I went for breakfast yesterday and LOVED it. Fresh menu, wonderful service and atmosphere, and DELICIOUS food. Reminds me of First Watch, back home (Akron), but a fun local business instead of a chain. We are so sad to be moving in a month now that we have found our new favorite breakfast place. Jason said he would go here over Bob Evans any day, and if you know Jason, that speaks volumes about this place! The only critique we had was that the biscuits were a little tough, and hard to cut with a fork, but they seem really receptive and willing to work on things like that to make their restaurant better!

Amazing food. The "stews" and waterstreet coffee make it worth it. Try the "hippy stew" and "southwest stew"!
