I never liked Mae's so this is a nice change of pace. Gone are the crowds and the surly hipster servers. The positive: getting a table without waiting, great friendly service, Great Lakes coffee, homemade jam and a tasty biscuit. The negative: forgetting the avocado on my veggie skillet. Overdone veggies and over easy eggs in said skillet. All in all I will be back to try more menu items and because of the friendly service.
Sorry whistle stop.. I tried, but when you cut corners it's noticeable.. -bar downgrade (why?!) -plastic / industrial touches -cheap bread / pancake mix / etc RIP Mae's :(
Hmm... This place was formerly Mae's, home of my favorite pancakes. I ordered coffee and pancakes of course with 2 poached eggs. The pancakes were very good still however I found eggshell in my eggs that blew the whole meal. Oh yeah, I let the server know about the eggshell and they didn't take it off the bill. C'mon, get a little common sense and fix it! I didn't care enough to pursue the $1.75. Forget it Len A's review is pretty much spot on
