I eat at this restaurant approximately twice a month the sushi is always excellent. The presentation is lovely the service is almost always great. That is the only reason they are not 5 star.

Solid sushi experience. I don't know that I've had that good of sushi in the Midwest. We had the Nagoya King Roll (minus eel sauce) - a must have!! Soup, salad and rice were uneventful, but good. Entrees and roll tasted fresh and had great flavor!! If I was a local, I'd probably eat here once a week.

The sushi was amazing from scallops to salmon. If you love sushi and a good place for great Chinese dishes, this is a great choice!

I ordered shrimp and chicken hibachi, now I'll say for a small place the flavors weren't bad... However the chicken was room temperature, (my shrimp was hot... My dates shrimp was not) someone else who also had the chicken rushed to the rest room and threw up bc his chicken was raw. It WAS very busy when we were there however undercooked chicken is a BAD thing for a place to have. The service was good, our server was attentive and fast, I could tell she was stressed out and eventually two people came out of the back to help her... Eventually. So I gave her a five dollar tip but who ever the cook was deserved to be fired. I honestly wanted to call the department of health.

Okay don't let the 3 stars fool you, they did have some good food. I wasn't blown away by their food or service, but their appetizers were awesome, their entree's were quite bland. Now normally I wouldn't really hold it against them, but they have no Siracha or anything other then soy sauce on the table to season your food. For appetizers we had their Tempura Plate, which the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Their Crab Rangoons were excellent as well, very creamy and seasoned perfectly. Entrees however were very forgettable. We've heard great things about their Sushi next time I'll have to try it, because I don't want to have their Lo Mein again. The noodles veggies, and pork was all cooked wonderfully, but had no seasonings on it what so ever. Prices weren't terrible, our bill was a little high because we had some pretty overpriced beer. We tried their Chinese and Japanese beers, both are very meh and reminded us of cheap domestic beer, we'll try a cocktail next time. That being all said, their menu was extremely large and a few tables around us sounded like regulars who'd order custom items not on the menu, so its good to know the cooks can be accommodating. Since they did give us great appetizers, and we've heard wonderful things about their sushi we'll most likely check them out again. If you're craving Asian Cuisine there aren't a lot of options in Petoskey, so we'll give them another shot.

Hmm...maybe we didn't make the right menu choices? Unfortunately, the edamame was under-steamed, and the rest was underwhelming. Still, we liked the low-key atmosphere here, and it's worth trying for yourself in case you have a different experienc

I've been here twice so far. The food is consistently great, and I highly recommend it. The best item is the C9 or sweet and sour chicken. The waitresses are great here too. I have the C9 and egg drop soup.

This place is... Ehh. I don't know why people give it 5 stars but to me 5 stars is the best youve ever had on the planet! For the $50 I spent it was not 5 stars sorry. I'm Asian and I know my asian food. Chinese people serving Japanese sushi and playing Korean music? I'm confused and so were the flavors. The Chinese food was ok but again not worthy of 5 stars. Fried rice was Chinese pork fried rice with a mild curry which is never my fav type of friend rice. I've had every Asian cuisine possible, growing up in the military and I've traveled to all around the country and world. After all it is lil petosky so you couldn't expect too much!

Surprise! Here in Petoskey there is sushi. Sushi worth eating at that. My wife and I came here two nights and the service is nice. But a little distant. Which is fine. We had fabulous sushi at a reasonable price and quite speedy as well. We ordered miso soup and sushi rolls. It seems like it's hard to go wrong. If I find myself up here again. I will be back.

We were up in the area to ski, and decided to stop here after a day on the slopes. We enjoyed two sushi rolls and the portions were generous and the price was fair. Both were delicious! Highly recommend the Bagel roll. Service was courteous and prompt. No complaints. Their credit card machine was broken on the night we visited but they told us right away before we were seated --appreciated the heads up.

I really wanted to like this restaurant but I cannot. We got our order to go and spent $33 for Won-Ton Soup, Chicken Rice Soup, General Tso's Chicken and Vegetable Egg Foo Young. Both soup broths were clear in color and flavorless. The Won-Tons were chewy, not tender. We paid an additional $3.00 for Tso's Chicken to be white meat but not sure it was. Not sure what it was. It was chewy also and the sauce had no heat at all. I called and asked about the heat level and I was told the chef added it and I am not fanatical about such things but I tasted no heat, saw no peppers (even though it says they are in there on the menu) and was disappointed again. My wife's Egg Foo Young had a sweet sauce my wife did not care for and she ate one of three pieces and was not planning to finish the rest. Maybe other items are good but I will not be going back to find out. For $33, we could have been very happy elsewhere. Sorry, but we will not return.

Awful! Tastes like they threw something together from the frozen food section of a grocery store. Poor service, never refilled our water. Gross food. Do yourself a favor and either go to Chee Ping or Thai Orchid.

I have the opportunity to eat at many Japanese restaurants around the country and Nagoya was outstanding. The presentation was beautiful and the service was outstanding. They were always refilling our glasses and checking in on our meal. My husband had Gen. Tso and it was wonderful -- he left one piece of a very large portion for me to try it. I had the American sushi with spicy tuna roll. I will be a regular customer when I am in town.

Food tastes all the same. I've been several times, but won't try it again. Service is slow and not checking back with customers is not good.

Not to bad, wife and I stopped in wanting to warm up. Got the miso soup and the general tso's chicken and a sushi roll. What a hit, everything was delicious and the service was great also. I recommend this place to anyone.

The presentation is nice and the sushi isn't bad. It certainly doesn't compare to places like Ronin in Royal Oak, but for a small-town place it's good. It can be a bit inconsistent. The only real knock I can give is on the waitstaff. They tend to view you as an inconvenience. Tonight was my 4th time dining here and I think I'll stick to carry out food from now on. Not once did the waitress check to see if everything was ok, refill beverages, nothing. When we asked for chopsticks she literally cut us off mid sentence and rolled her eyes!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
