Alright, I know I should have written my review for this place a long time ago but.... I was too busy shoveling some delicious burgers, sandwiches, dinner salads and drinking ice cold beer to get around to it. We have been here numerous times (clearly ) and have not been disappointed in the slightest. They have a variety of specials including happy hour M-T from 3-7 for $1 off drafts and $1 oysters (which are incredibly delicious!). On Mondays, they have KILLLER delicious wings- buy 10, get 10 free... but these are not just any wings... they are certified gigantic wings! I will NEVER go to BWW again after having these chicken wings. They offer a variety of flavors but the tap special is the absolute best. The deals don't stop there- on Tuesdays , they have $3 1/2 pound burgers which are absolutely incredible! Do yourself a favor and add a dinner salad for only $2 more! In addition to the best specials in the area, they also have a great waitstaff! They always pay very close attention to the table and you will never run out of water (or beer!). Besides the specials, they have a lot of menu items that are full of love and flavor.... Our other favorites include: the Conley (omg.... So good!!!!), the turkey reuben, regular reuben, and the regular corned beef sandwich (the name escapes me!)..... After moving here, this has quickly become our favorite! You will not be disappointed!

This place is a little gem. It's a little dirty gem that hasn't been finished yet, but a gem none-the-less. They had a big selection of drinks and food. We decided to have the jerk wings and DAMN they were fantastic. Just the right amount of spice, grease, chicken, and whatever the hell else was in it. I like this place and plan on going back in the future. Thank you Oxford Tap, for showing me that Buffalo Wild Wings is really just mass produced crap. Thank you for restoring not only my faith in wings, but my faith in humanity itself. Thank you.

Great little hometown bar and grill. Try the ribs, you will not be disappointed! Very tasty, fall off the bone. Drinks are moderately priced and strong ;). Great place to go before a movie. Place is small but the decor makes it seem larger then it is.

Love the Tap! The burgers are great! I also really like the blackened chicken with rice. Prices are good too!

My husband and I have came here a few times and have never left disappointed. Tuesday they have $3 burgers which are delicious and even better..they come with fries! The wings are huge and by far our favorite place to get wings in the area. It's cute and cozy and gets fairly busy at dinner time. The staff is always friendly and it's surprisingly a great place we can go to dinner and bring our 1 year old. I love the Oxford Tap! Best bar food and the best prices!

Oysters were great! Wings are meatiest in the area. Ghost Pepper is a must, if you like hot.

Pretty good beer selection, even more food, and a prompt staff, I'd give it five stars if they had more beer that I personally liked but they didn't know me when they picked :-)

Great place to go on a Friday after work. Staff was great and food was good. This is the type of quaint bar you stay all night without even thinking about it. Looking forward to our next visit to the oxford tap!

Went for dinner 2/15/14. We have been here a few times and have yet to be dissapointed. A full slab of ribs for 13 dollars(Sat. special) can't be beat. Dry rub then sauced, very meaty, very tasty. 1/2lb burger for 5 dollars(6.50 w/bacon,cheese,lettuce,pickle, and tomato) and this is not a special. WOW Excellent tasting burger. Service was friendly and attentive, never had to call waitress over. Manager came over to make sure everything was ok. Really good experience.

Tap is a great bar, with an emphasis on bar. Menu is good bar food, surprisingly competently cooked. Tap style wings really are awesome. Beer selection isn't the best -I count about 20 on tap, many are light domestics. Great friendly staff and patrons from many walks of life.

We went here on St. Patrick's Day and it was packed! They did have a tent set up in the back for some overflow since the actual bar got too crowded to let anyone else in at times. It was a little chilly but at least it was something. Inside was wall to wall people. There was a couple with 2 small children (maybe 4 or 5) sitting at the bar which baffled me. Why anyone would bring small children to a bar like this on St. Patrick's day is beyond me. Anyhow - we got a spot at the bar after having 1 drink standing up. The bartenders are always very attentive and friendly. The food is bar food, but it is good. If you want a neighborhood no frills bar, this is the place to go in Oxford. If you are looking for a place to get a glass of wine, this probably isn't the place. There are better selections elsewhere, and the Tap sticks to a 4 oz. pour.

Terrible bar service. Let's start by saying I have been in the business for 14 years. Being a general manager, assitant manager, bar manager, bartender and a server. The bar/restuarant industry is my career. I'm very polite, accepting and forgiving when I go out. That's why I gave the tap three tries. I moved to Oxford from Phoenix in March. A month before the move I researched places I wanted to hangout at once I made the transition. The Tap seemed like my type of place. Boy was I wrong. Overall the vibe, music and other patrons are pleasant. I love live music and that was what made me excited to visit the tap. My first bad experience was with a blonde bartender. I came in to watch the redwings and coyotes game. I was never offered another drink after my first. I had to ask for every beer after, when she happened to walk by. No worries, it happens. The thing that really got me was three times she threw on her jacket and went outside to smoke. I watched her, wall back behind the bar, take off her jacket and stay to eat wings off the plate from a couple that was during next to me. I assumed one of them worked there, if not they were regulars. The kicker to her eating off someones plate while standing behind the bar was...NOT ONCE DID I SEE HER WASH HER HANDS AFTER SMOKING. Each time I asked for another bottle of beer, including when I chose to buy a shot for a guy I met that worked across the street. She seemed irritated and annoyed. The end of my first experience was when I asked for my tab, she automatically closed it on my card without asking. I'm the type of person that uses my card to start a tab but allots myself a set amount of cash everytime I go out so I don't get to crazy. When I told her I wanted to pay cash and she never asked if I wanted it on the card, she gave me attitude. I asked her if she "could just void the payment and close me to cash" and she said "no." I asked her if she was serious, and she just snatched the tab and voided the c.c. charge accepting my cash. She made me feel like I did something wrong? When she came back and I gave her cash I apologized for the confusion because it made me feel akward. I even overtipped her, $10 on $30 thinking it would calm her down and be nice. She never even said thank you. Completely unacceptable, rude service. Second chance... Same bartender... Once she asked what I wanted, I gave her my card, smiled and said "sorry about the confusion last week. This time just run the card" and laughed thinking a bad joke and a smile would totally make whatever akwardness she made me feel no big deal. She smiled and took my card. Went to the other bartender at the register, rang in my beer said something to her. The other bartender turned around and looked right at me and turned back to their conversation. I was ignored by both for the next hour. I left without complaining. Third times a charm I thought. Nope. Third time there, third time experiencing terrible bar service, and being ignored. Saturday night, one guy, one brunette, and a blonde with highlights. Could very well be the same girl with new hair. Every bar seat is taken, but one. The one empty is in the corner in front of the touch screen. I chose to stand between two couples in the space at the bar with a $20 in my hand touching the bar rail. Each bartender looked at my hand, the two girls made eye contact but no one offered a drink. I timed it knowing this was the last chance I was giving The Tap. Eight mintues I stood there waiting for acknowledgment. Even one of the couples I was standing next to asked "are they going to get you a drink or should we just get one for you." We both laughed. I told them to have a good night and be safe, and walked out. I was so excited moving to Oxford to make The Tap my favorite bar. More dissapointed than I can explain writing this novel. As an industry veteran, and manager, it really makes me wonder how much money this attitude and non attentive service is costing them as a business?

Our go to spot for after work drinks. Staff is great... though it's sad Josh (top bartender) has moved on. The owner Mike is a good guy too. Food is better than you'd expect from a bar like this. Not amazing, but above average. Good burgers, wings, and homemade soups/chili. I was disappointed with the pretzels, as someone else mentioned. Prices are decent, and they usually have something on special. I do wish they would have more beers on Tap. Just domestics, shock top, and maybe a couple others. Easily the best bar in Oxford.

Saw a new guy cooking, wasn't sure what to expect from the kitchen, with a new cook. order the five alarm burger med, cooked perfect and the fries were hot, and it came quick before I was done with my first beer! Will be back again.

Solid neighborhood bar in downtown Oxford. Has a kind of "dive bar" feel, with above average food. I had the Rueben on a pretzel bun (who can resist pretzel buns??). It was really good, although I think I prefer a Reuben on the typical Rye bread--my mistake. They have a wide variety of burgers (GREAT on pretzel buns) and sandwiches, and they apparently have great fish and chips--which I'll be sure to try next time. Finally, and maybe most importantly, they have phenomenal drink specials. I think it was $2 Shocktops when I was here, and I walked out of here feeling full and feeling good. **This place is right next to the Oxford movie theatre, so it's a great place to grab dinner and/or drinks before or after your movie**

This bar was my night cap on my way home from dinner elsewhere. It's 5 mins. from my house, which makes it convenient. It's dark inside (which I like), small and quaint, and had awesome music playing in the background. Whomever was manning the music gets a kudos from me. The drinks were good, the staff was great and there was a mix of young and old. I have yet to sample the food, but I know I will be back. ~Cheers

Just visited this place for the first time for bike night because my friend invited us and said it was a fun place for Thursday nights . We arrived to find just that and went onto enjoy a great dinner and drinks amongst 8 of us , then the owner ask my friend whom invite cud all there to leave for a comment he made !!! It's bike night - you ever hear the saying " if you don't want to get wet , don't go by the pool " ? Come on , mr. Business man , don't host if you are going to be like that !!! I dropped over 300 dollars on dinner and drinks for our group and will never make that mistake again !!! On top of asking him to leave , he informed the police that he was leaving !!! WTF - do you even know what brotherhood is ??? I will be spreading the word both personally and within social media about this to let everyone know to stay away from the oxford tap !!!! I can only hope that you act this way again with someone who us intoxicated and end up in court for forced intoxicated driving after service of alcohol or better yet , try this with the wrong guy that is patched and see what happens !!! Watch the web and biker mags for more on this idiot and his brotherhood with law in oxford !!!

This is one of the only Bars in Oxford and it is pretty decent. The food is pretty good for bar food, and the prices are cheap.. As for the beer....CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. Coming from NYC where it is at least $6 for a pint, I was astonished to get a PITCHER of Shock Top (similar to Blue moon) for only $5. I wanted to order 10 just because I was SO excited. My brother and his fiance stared at me like I was an idiot, but if you don't live in NYC you won't get it....that is SUPER CHEAPP!!!!! Anyway, seems like it gets really crowded, and may not be a totally authentic Irish bar, but it's fine by me when I am in town....

This is a brand new restaurant to Oxford. It took the place of Jon Marx - thank goodness. The decor is modern, and the menu diverse. Everything from a Reuben to a wood-fired pizza, to ribs, to Salmon. All of it is very good. The bread sticks with the garlic butter are awesome. I'm so glad to have an alternative to Red Knapp's.
