The staff was horrible; much more focused on cleaning than service. No one greeted us so we went to sit in the bar. Every time we spoke to the bartender, he finished what he was cleaning before taking our order, getting our drinks, etc. We were on the way home from a long drive and really regretted going to Red Robin.

Very good burgers! Happy with the depth of the grilled taste and the flavor of the burgers. We had the tavern burger and the prime burger. Both had really tasty toppings and added to the deliciousness of the burger. Would probably pass on the onion rings, looked good, but average taste, good crunch. The service was great! Andrea was attentive and friendly. The food came out quick and at a good temp. It has been awhile since I last visited a Red Robin, based in this experience, would return.

Well, we have been here about 3 times this year and each and every time, we didn't have good service, we had excellent service. Once guy was so good, that we even told him about our horrible experiences in the past. He told us that the general manager during the time frame that we were complaining about was incompetent and was finally fired. He explained that the new management team was much better. So far, we have been pleased with out visits. The food has always been really good here, so with better management at the helm, we felt that our review needed to be updated.

Consistant! There's never any suprises at Red Robin which is good. It's a family atmophere where the food and service is always spot on! I love the Whiskey River BBQ chicken sandwich. As always, the drippier the better which is why they wrap their sandwiches and burgers in paper for easier handling. And the bottomless fries are SO good! In reference to Adrienne's review, when you sign up for either email's you can register yourself as well as all your family members to get a free birthday meal.

Consistent is the perfect word. Always clean with good service and acceptable food. Good menu and a comfortable place to go back to when you want a fallback lunch or dinner. Probably exactly the same as all Red Robins...but that's a good thing.

I honestly enjoyed this location customer services and the manager was super friendly - believe me it's the small things that count. The waiter kept our drinks and fry orders always topped off - the manager even give us a heads up a party was coming and just brought over a couple of fries in case they gotten to busy. I also over heard someone having an issue with their order - the manager gladly apologized, corrected the issue, and give the customer their burger free. Happy Eating!!!

Came into this location my sisters birthday. With any red robins location you should know that it is a hit or a miss when it comes to the quality of service and food. Luckily for us it was a hit. I ordered my usual shroom burger where I sub the swiss for american, added bacon, and asked for the bacon aoli on the side. I could've sworn the mushrooms use to have a garlicky sauce on them when I ordered this burger before; but this burger just had plain mushrooms. That weren't even sautéed all the way through. Then again this is red robins so you cant complain too much. Overall I enjoyed my burger and of course the endless fries dipped in ranch makes everything better. My sister ordered for whiskey Burger which she enjoyed. While my mother ordered the red tavern double. My brother had the kids grilled cheese and cleaned his plate. Everything was good. Services was excellent and staff was friendly. The food was brought out in a timely manner. Overall good experience.

Bad service all around. Everything was slow. Even to get our bill. We had to wait for everything and we saw our waitress doing nothing. Then she didn't refill our drinks at all, we had to ask for everything. Box, refills, and anything. We wanted our fries early to munch on. No go. She wouldn't bring it to use, probably because she wanted us to buy an appetizer . No thanks.

What a great happy hour. After 9pm. Where else can you get an ice cold tall beer for only 2 dollars. And all the free refills on fries that you want.

I don't come to Red Robin that often, but my mom had her birthday freebie burger so I went with them this past weekend. First off: if you are a garlic fan, ALWAYS opt for the garlic parmesan french fries. They are my favorite part about Red Robin's menu. They have sweet potato fries now which are also very good (and not steak fries either, which surprised me) but the garlic ones are my fave. I did the build your own chicken sandwich, which was a good deal - $7.99 (and 49c extra for the fries) for a sandwich with pickles and BBQ sauce. I like that they have a cheaper option now because I usually don't get cheese and all that stuff on my sandwich anyways. Service was fine although a little slow at times and rushed at others. I'd come back here again for a quick meal if in the area.

I don't come here looking for the freshest ingredients, I come here because I have a specific craving for the specific Red Robin flavor. Cheeseburger is average, obviously frozen or preformed somehow that makes it seem like they are. Bottomless fries are a plus although I never need to have 2nds. Who am I kidding tho, I like finding excuses to use their seasoning salt! Sitting in the bar area is a plus as it's usually slower/less crowded and this time in particular we had exceptionally good service.

I got a burger that was fantastic! The pop tasted amazing I don't know what they did to it but that Dr.Pepper was out of this world. Bottomless fries are amazing and seasoned perfectly. In terms of service it wasn't very good. Out waiter only checked on our table a couple times and we had to ask other workers to get us things. The wifi did not work at all so that was disappointing. But grading this restaurant on food it's a 4 star. PS- restrooms get a B oddly placed urinal but pretty clean.

Not the best Red Robin location I've been to. The server was not very interested to work here and it gets annoying when you keep running out of drinks and the server is nowhere to be seen to get a refill. The kid's spaghetti we ordered for our kid was spaghetti..with close to zero meat sauce. Kudos to the waitress that helped us fix it since again we couldn't not find the server responsible for our table. I ordered the bleu burger which was pretty good but nothing spectacular. I finished off with a gooey chocolate cake, it had a nice blend of chocolate and was ok but not particularly memorable either.

I know chains are pretty predictable, but I got really good service at this Red Robin today and I want to share :) When I go to this location, it's usually meeting one of my 'working' friends for her one-hour lunch break. Today was no exception. There are always plenty of business people here, which can be a little weird sometimes since I have my one-year-old always in tow. Today my son behaved pretty darn well (at least no screaming, which is always a good goal). He left a slew of cheerios everywhere, but our waitress, Shannon, said it came with the territory and not to worry about it. When someone I assume was the manager came to see how we were doing, I apologized to her for the mess, and she said there were plenty of people she had to take care of it. They were both very nice. Our meals were great, and Shannon even brought an extra piece of bread with my salad when I said my son would just eat my bread. Our drinks were never empty, and several people stopped by to see how we were doing throughout the meal. The true above-and-beyond service came when I left my childless friend with my son and bolted to the bathroom. He's at that age where he has a bit of separation anxiety, and he panicked when I left. Not only did no one complain (I was pretty darn fast), but Shannon even sat down and played peek-a-boo to help my friend out while I was gone. It was a very nice lunch, and I'm glad this is where we usually pick to meet.

Please keep in mind that I visited this location twice, with a VERY large group of people. Seating wasn't really an issue here, luckily! While the food that was received was delicious, it did take some of us over an hour to get our meals after we ordered. To me, this is a bit excessive, even with a large group of people. My biggest complaint would be that of the management on 6/27/13 from 8:30-10:30pm. Within our large group, 2 ordered were lost in translation, which was fine by us...because mistakes happen. While the 2 meals were comped and deserts were offered to those 2 customers...the manager on duty (female, blonde hair) was highly unprofessional about the situation. While we have no idea what actually happened behind closed doors, we did see that the manager yelled/spoke down to/reprimanded the waitress right in front of us. BIG NO-NO! In a nutshell.. Food = good Staff = good Management = POOR!

Bottomless root beer floats are a huge plus! Pretty standard for a Red Robin, good burgers, bottomless fries and various drinks. I like the decoration and the food is yummy but there's nothing special here. We basically just chewed and flew (after paying of course). The wait staff was very timely, but it was also pretty dead.

Usually good but today was a wreck. It took forever to get our food but as soon as we sat down they asked about drink orders. We had just sat down. Stay away from the romaine salad. It was grilled and one big stalk. It was a bad experience.

Excellent service. Delicious food! This is by far the vest Red Robin in Michigan. Shanae is the best bartender! Quick and attentive service all around. Rather go here than the Olive Garden across the lot.... which is terribly managed by the way.

Bottomless Fries are a joke. My burger came with 7 - yes, seven! - fries. We immediately ordered more. The waiter stopped by 10 minutes later and said fries were coming out slow because they "got busy". 20 minutes, still no fries. He apologized and offered to get us a bunch to go. My party melt was run of the mill, nothing special, not worth $9 ... even with 7 fries.

We keep thinking we like the food at this chain and yet, are never very happy with our dishes. Hubby had a whiskey BBQ burger, I had a SW pasta dish. The side salad was the best part of the meal. My dish was bland and tasteless even after adding salt and ranch dressing to it. Fries were sorta like eating stale bread. The second they cooled down, that was it. No sweet tea and their tea flavors were not good tasting. It was a waste if $30.

I'm not a fan of chains in general, but I am a fan of the Red Robin in Novi. Their service is reliably efficient, their food is reliably tasty, and the atmosphere does not detract (as it does in most chains). The Whisky BBQ wrap, in particular, is yummy: BBQ chicken, lettuce, tomato, BBQ sauce, and tortilla strips in a spinach wrap make for one good sandwich. And it comes with cantaloupe as well as steak fries, so on my good days I can skip the fries and fill the corners with the cantaloupe, and on my bad days I can enjoy the crispy fries. Hubby and I usually go during happy hour (5-7, M-Th), to take advantage of the drink and appetizer specials. Oh, and if you want to avoid the kiddies, ask to sit in the bar.

After eating at the Red Robin in Brighton, MI about a week prior to this we decided to go to the Red Robin in Novi and we brought our son along. It was "magician night" although I never saw a magician. There was no wait for a table but I have never seen so many empty dirty tables in any restaurant at one given time. In all, there were maybe a dozen active tables. We ordered the Tavern Burgers and my son actually wanted more of the bottomless fries however our waitress, Dakota never bothered to come back so we did not even get refills on our drinks. The food was delivered by someone else and we never saw our waitress other than her taking the order and bringing the check. We had planned to get desert but skipped it due to poor service, why stay longer? Anyway, the food was ok but was much better at the other location. I am certain that we will not ever bother to return to this location again. ( If you are local, go to the Brighton location and you will have a MUCH better experience all the way around )

My experience here was kinda crappy. More due to the cooking staff then the server. Our food took forever and came out lukewarm. I also had a digital coupon on my smart phone and the manager had no idea what to do and freaked out. I'll pass on this location in the future.

Red Robin has been one of my favorite restaurants in Novi since it opened in Novi about 20 years ago. Yes it is a chain, and with that in mind, there isn't much better. Red Robin consistently serves up an excellent burger. One that is balanced in both flavor and size. My favorite is the Royal Red Robin Burger w/o mayo. The steak fries are awesome...my favorite after Five Guys and Penn Station. The fact that they're bottomless makes things even better. Just sprinkle some of Red Robin's special seasoning blend on them and you're good to go. Since Novi isn't exactly the place to find great local eateries, I highly recommend Red Robin. One last thing. Since this location is on the older side, I think it has a much better atmosphere. Most of the new ones are laid out in one big rectangle with minimal walls dividing different seating areas. This restaurant has many different "rooms" separated with lots of walls and props. It really adds to the feel when compared to the newer design. When I think about it more, it must have been in order to divide the smoking section from the rest of the place before the smoking ban.

This by far was the worse Red Robin that I have been too. Two friends and I went there for dinner on Saturday. We had a waitress that completely ignored us. My one friend ordered chicken tortilla soup expecting it to come out before our main meals seeing how it was billed as a starter and that is how other Red Robins (Commerce Township) operate. The soup came out with our dinner. I ordered a burger (can't remember which one) but with no bun and for it to be cooked medium well. It came out just barely medium. We had to find a manager to get action taken on it. Red Robin cooked me a whole new burger and basically brought out a brand new order including fries. While this was great, their wait staff should put in for the correct cook temperature the first time if they are going to ask "how do you want your burger cooked."

Consistent is the perfect word. Always clean with good service and acceptable food. Good menu and a comfortable place to go back to when you want a fallback lunch or dinner. Probably exactly the same as all Red Robins...but that's a good thing.
