Rocker vibe here. Loud interior, but outdoor area available (which could use some decor?!? ). Staff was very cool and likable. They served a variety of great beers!

Went on Saturday night, it was packed - standing room only. There was a cover but Im not sure if it was paid to actual staff as they weren't doing a cover shortly after. We waited 15 minutes for drinks. Their IPA was $6 and was not good. The band was awful, the female singer must be good at something else to be in the band... Crowd was young hipsters only wearing grey and black and stocking hats. Not impressed, not going back.

This review is based on one visit and one beer so take it as such. I usually wouldn't rate a brewery off of one visit and one beer but I was dissatisfied so here it is. I read a story about their opening day and I was excited to try their beers. I was in west Michigan on holiday so we made the trip to Muskegon to have a few pints. On their website the descriptions of their year round beers made me want to try their beer. On their website they have an imperial red ale, a pale ale, an IPA, a porter, and a stout. All of which I would have tried but when we ordered our beers they had none of the beers listed on their website. So I decided on the brown ale which had an alcohol taste that overpowered the other flavors. The staff seemed overwhelmed and ungrateful and they took orders by stating "what you need". For $6/pint I expect better. They offer food from a local sandwich shop but the food is pre-packed in plastic containers. This is unnecessary waste that goes to a landfill so if you give this brewery a try I say you should eat before or after. There are other great beer joints nearby that are appreciative of your hard earned dollar so while they work out their kinks I say go elsewhere.

was here this past weekend, as we were staying at the Holiday Inn down the block. Friday night we came and sat outside. I had something called "Kick Ass" or something was pretty good. we ordered the pizza, which was pretty good. the only negative is they have no liquor for shots or drinks, and a few of my friends are not beer drinkers. so with that being said we didn't stay super long and moved the party down the block. I'd be back for sure, but maybe if they served liquor too, that would be helpful for those that don't drink beer.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and sampled 5 beers, and everyone was good. Really nice place, serving fresh coffee, pizza by the slice and of course really good beer.

This is a cool spot in downtown Muskegon. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating inside and outside (great in summer). The beers are good. This may sound weird, but I wish they were colder. They were a tad on the warm side. Anyway, I loved the Revel Rouser IPA and Oats 'N Hoes Imperial IPA. What's great is you can get pizza just a counter away. Their pizza is DELICIOUS--amazing, squishy crust. If I'm in Muskegon again, I'll come back for sure.

Very nice brew pub. Craft beers are very good. Interior and exterior atmosphere are very nice. I believe that this place is really an asset to the revitalization of downtown. Bartenders were very good and knowledgeable of the beers on tap. Only downside was that there is no waitstaff, so you need to go to the counter to get your drinks, there isn't food, but I was told that will be changing soon with pizza coming in.

Good beer, foundry slag is my favorite here. Not a huge variety but most are solid. Bartend err s are friendly and the building is really nice. Will go again

I think this place is awesome! Solid beers, staff, atmosphere, & food. My one & only gripe is that they held a contest on facebook to name one of their beers and my cousin won it. All he requested for winning was an unruly sticker and long story short, i just had to buy one for him. Geez o Pete dont offer prizes for contests if you dont plan on following through.

Meh.. It's ok. Beer is ok. Atmosphere is good. I might frequent this establishment periodically ... On occasion... If I lived adajacently... And Pigeon Hill wasn't right down the street.

Love this place. Great brew, decor, atmosphere. I wish I still lived in Muskegon and/or was able to get there more often from Holland IMHO it is far better than New Holland. When are they going to start sending it out to market? Would love to at least be able to pick up a 6 pack at the store

The other reviewers who gave poor ratings must be complete rank amateurs regarding craft beer. Few people percentage-wise are as well traveled chasing craft beer as I am and I am usually disappointed with most of the places I've been. I've based my vacations on beer in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Oregon, Colorado and California and my wife is a professional brewer and certified BJCP beer judge, so I'm hard to impress. I also work 300 yards from Founder's, so I've got world class beer in my face at all times. This place had me very impressed with their entire lineup from their ESB, to the pale ale, to the stout and the red ale. Most of the microbrew start ups in west michigan in the past five years have been an embarrassing joke when compared to Founder's and Bell's, but this joint rocked my world today after I got the complete sampler of everything they brew. If you like good microbrew and have advanced beyond the simpleton Bell's Oberon, you should be floored by this place. If not, go back to your Bud Light for gratification.

Entire pizzas are $22. No individual vegetarian pizzas unless you custom order for like $1.25 per topping on top of a base $14. Disappointed with their lack of vegetarian- and cost-friendly options.

Glad to see all the activity Unruly has created downtown. Came in shortly after opening and was met by a huge crowd and a long line. Waited it out and was happy I did. I have been back a few times and am always greeted by upbeat patrons and a friendly knowledgable staff. The atmosphere is laid back and everyone seems to be enjoying the beer (this brewery is never empty). Check out their Facebook for updated tap lists and hours. While you're on Facebook, read some of their reviews (over 350) giving them 4.5 stars! They do offer food from a local (and tasty) sandwich shop, Fatty Lumpkins. If you like hard cider, they have Vander Mill on tap (local cider mill in Spring Lake). Unruly Neanderthal- Double IPA is my recommendation when you stop in. Yelping four stars (instead of five) because I think they need more seating. I like to sit while enjoying my craft beer. ;)

I went here during Bike Time and it was very loud which was ok! This brewery is raw and edgy. Their IPA were very hoppy and crisp. Unruly Brewing is all about attitude and great beer. Pricing was very far. I'll for sure go back when I'm back in Michigan.

The atmosphere here is fantastically casual, and they staff is great! I love the Neanderthal Double IPA, and their triple IPA is great. I can't wait to see what they come up with next, and I am looking forward to pizza joint that is supposed to be opening up in the same space to bring some food to the party!

Not ready for prime time. Bad atmosphere, warm beer. It just didn't feel right. Hopefully it will get better, but I dont think that it will.
