This place is a total gem. We were driving home from Mt. Pleasant after the CMU/OSU game (nice job Pokes) and based on Yelp reviews stopped in for some breakfast. I will admit to being a bit underwhelmed by the ambiance of the place, but I quickly realized that this was going to be a special meal. Our Server, Teresa, made us feel instantly welcome and actually seemed to like her job and be proud of the food she was serving. As much as anything, she made the meal memorable. Everything was delicious. Simple basic things like buttering a piece of toast from end to end, a task that many restaurants seem incapable of mastering, was taken care of. I am not sure if the sausage gravy is homemade or not, but I thought it was delicious. And whatever you do, be sure to get an order of their home fried potatoes. Truly a perfect experience from beginning to end.

I had the M's Big breakfast and it was amazing ! The service was great and we got our food fast ! I would recommend it to anyone passing through or any locals. The pricing was also very fair! Don't miss out on this hidden gem !

I came in to M's cafe for breakfast on a Sunday. The cafe had too many customers for its staff, who clearly couldn't keep up with the demand. This, however, was the Sunday before Thanksgiving, so they might not ordinarily have so much business. I ordered eggs-over-medium and they came out over-easy... twice. After sending them back for more well cooked eggs they came out just as raw and runny the second time. The food quality, overall, was pretty sub par, but their prices are cheap... so you get what you pay for! The hash browns I had were drenched in oil and the bacon was definitely low quality. Our waitress took my breakfast off the bill because of the egg mishap, which I genuinely appreciated.

Solid place for breakfast. Good service, tasty food, good prices. It's in the back off the street a bit, so look for the parking sign. My son and I had the #2 - 2 eggs, 2 meats, hash browns, and choice of bread including biscuits - for $4.99. My daughter had the half order of pancakes with chocolate chips. $3.49 for the pancakes plus $.69 for the choc chips, Can't beat it. We'll be back.

My husband and I went for lunch today, it was great! I had the ruben, he had the patty melt. We'd both get them again. The service was fast and friendly too. I wish they were open later, otherwise everything was perfect!

Mmmm... My eggs were cold and not cooked all the way. Still had to pay for them and no offer to have them redone. To be fair, I didn't ask them to have a new order- my stomach was kind of turned off by then. But it would have been nice to have been asked. I know a lot of people like this place, but I've tried it twice and think there are better places in the area for breakfast. Too bad because it is a clean nice looking place. Service is okay, and there are a lot of regulars. I get the sense that the regulars get better service.

My wife and I come here quite often, mainly for breakfast. We think their sausage gravy is the best around. The waitresses are very accommodating and if you request your food a certain way they will do their best to make it happen. Try the biscuits and gravy, their great !

I can't give this place enough stars. The best breakfast in midland! And that's saying something because we like our breakfast food am I right..? I always go with the same old order. 2 poached eggs with whole wheat toast on the side. 2 slices bacon. 2 sausage links. And lots of coffee. If you're thinking about trying this place out you should do it.

The service was good but the food was mediocre at best. Maybe it's because we had lunch and not breakfast (all the good reviews seem to be about breakfast). The salad only had iceberg lettuce and it did not even seem that fresh, the hot dog was literally inedible, the BLT was ok, and my son liked his burger.

I want first acknowledge that I'm not from Michigan - I was visiting for a wedding. I have 2 stars because the staff was super kind and it's true, they always re-filled our coffee (though the coffee tasted bad). But the food was far less than stellar - I ordered an omelette and it was more like an egg crepe. You opened up the top layer of "egg" and inside were all the toppings, barely cooked mushrooms on top of cold cheese. The sourdough bread was great, as were the hash browns. By overall none of us were impressed with our meals - couldn't stomach another visit here.

The food here was great! no complaints. however a friend and i went on the morning of thanksgiving and we immediately felt like we were not welcome there. only one waiter and he was interesting to say the least. no greeting hi find a seat or anything. he was very short with us when we were not sure what to order right away. and he lingered around the table staring at us. a little uncomfortable if you ask me.

I have eaten here about 10 times now. NEVER have been disappointed, the food is fantastic! You get a blueberry pancake (which I have never ordered in a restaurant, ever) that is 1.65...and it's as large as a dinner plate! The pancake, especially the blueberry pancakes! The omelets are to die for...I had to take mine home to eat later! The senior breakfast, is $4.95, which can include 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of meat, coffee and side order of bread or pancakes (which is my husband's fav). He is ALWAYS satisfied with his selection! The staff is fantastic, the management is "real" and the place is very clean! My only complaint is that they aren't open but 2 nites a week!
