We have been here twice now and the food is always fantastic. We have not been disappointed. There were 6 in our party. The Fathers Day steak and rib specials were delicious. They pay attention to all of the details and the owner is super.

Great little small town restaurant. Interesting menu, I.e., today's soup was Cajun Bayou. I did not expect that from such an out in the boonies restaurant. Good quality food and attentive servers.

The first trip to Annabelle's was awesome. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch. I ordered the salad with fruit and nuts. It was enormous, but so scrumptious that I finished the whole thing. The second visit was less than par. We ordered pizzas to go. Both pizzas were under cooked. The center still doughy. You could tell the crust had stuck to the oven because it was torn from where the paddle had caught on it. The crust was flavorless. I don't know how it's possible, but there was way too much cheese on it. And I LOVE cheese! Kinda disappointing cause I really want to love this place! We need more local businesses serving good, quality food. Maybe just stay away of the pizza. Stick to the salads, sandwiches and ice cream!

We love Annabelle's. I think we first learned about it via local public TV, Facebooked it to learn more, and were impressed by the creative menu choices. Both times we visited we had delicious meals; most recently ramen with beef tenderloin in a ginger/sesame broth. (Other choices included a chicken-chorizo chili with mango and lime, diner staples, meals-to go featuring everything from pork chops to meatballs over gnocchi, and homemade desserts including lemon meringue pie and pineapple-orange cake. We've also enjoyed frozen entrees available to take home. This is a tiny, completely unpretentious place with family style cooking -- if your family was like mine, with a mom and female relatives who truly enjoyed cooking, kept binders of cut-out magazine recipes and lots of cookbooks, and would regularly try their hand at international dishes and new trends. You pick up on the enthusiasm in the kitchen and at the front of the house; super-nice waitstaff. And even though our recent visit was a rather late lunch, there were takeouts and phone orders going on steadily. Tip: The restaurant is extremely easy to miss on busy M-20; it's in a shabby building, with an empty storefront at the other end, on the north side of the highway. It is very much worth turning around for if you do drive by. Oh...and once you're there, be sure to add your pin to the customer map.

We chose this place during a daytrip to Midland, and it was fantastic for a late lunch/early dinner. It's small and welcoming, and our server was very friendly and attentive. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see a number of options, including an Indian kathi roll that I almost went for. Instead I opted for what seemed safer at the time -- the bean and cheese burrito. It was super delicious -- the corn added a great texture. And I knew I wouldn't have gone wrong with the kathi roll. I hear the bahn mi sandwich was great too. Very highly recommended. I know Annabelle's Own opened less than a year ago, and I hope the owners have years of prosperity ahead!

Wow the food was amazing! The gyro was to die for. The bread was super soft and the meat really tender. I would come again just make sure you come after noon bc that's when they open :-)

We've gotten takeout a couple times and really enjoyed the Italian sandwich. Not a fan of the pizza. I love that they change things up and look forward to trying it out more in the future.

Recently heard about a place located just west of downtown Midland and decided to give it a try for a Friday lunch. Annabelle's Own is in a small building on the north side of Isabella Rd (M-20) and you have to stay sharp or you might miss their sign. After the eating the food there, missing it would be a darn shame. Even though the main room is small (only eight tables) there is a coziness to it immediately established by the warm welcome and sincere smiles from the staff that greets you. After a quick view of a surprisingly broad range of menu items for such a small establishment, I selected the day's special: Seafood and Ricotta Cannelloni with house salad. Expecting the usual iceberg lettuce and wedge of unripe tomato, I received a small plate of mixed greens, shaved carrot and cucumber, and other small yummies accompanied by dill infused house ranch. Excellent. Quickly following were seafood cannelloni with side of mixed veg that I'll summarize as such: Upon consuming both wonderfully prepared seafood stuffed pasta rolls I used the accompanying homemade bread roll to mop up every single drop of sauce from the plate. Loved it. This review would have received a perfect 5 star had it not been for the bland and soggy vegetable side. Had they been steamed and still retained some texture, this meal could have come from a little bistro off Nob Hill in San Francisco or an Italian place in the heart of Philly. For as good a meal as this was, the price was beyond reasonable with me receiving change back from a $10. It was only one meal, but it was all the needed to ensure my coming back a second time.

I have ordered the take out in Oct. and we ate there tonight. Let me review what our food tasted like last fall. My husband had the open faced sandwich and was delighted. I, however, had the chicken enchilada. The chicken was cooked with the salsa and baked. It was horrible! But we decided to try them again tonight. I ordered hot tea and got all sorts of Earl Grey, and I asked to a plain old green tea. The young lady was new, and didn't know what to do. It took forever to get a hot cup of water and refills on our coffee because she was side tracked by the older server making her clean. The food (I ordered the Tilipia and my husband ordered the 5 cheese macaroni and cheese) took 45 minutes!!! We were the only table in the restaurant and no take out orders were ordered! The macaroni and cheese was big, but had no taste! My pasta that came with the tilapia was bland, and they put on the menu that it was oil roasted with herbs. Did not see any herbs, and the fish was dry and curled up on the ends. I also found a sizable piece of hair...I was offered something else to eat...I couldn't eat. I did get a delicious piece of cake for my troubles. We left and vowed NEVER to return to this restaurant that has the most tasteless, and uninviting food choices. It's too bad because the amibience and the décor is great looking.
