This place just keeps getting better! They have added beer pong - and regular beer pong tournaments. They have Mug night on Monday night, a DJ on Fridays, and lots of other fun stuff going on like karaoke and a Halloween party the Friday before Halloween. The menu continues to evolve and the newly added sliders are great, especially the pork ones. It is always a good time hanging out at the Hub whether you are there for dinner during the week, drinks on a Friday night, or wings and beer during your favorite team's game on the weekend.

This place needs more servers!!! The service is so slooooww! Its too bad because we really like the atmosphere at this bar! Lots of t.v's, corned beef is awesome! Good beer menu also. But my god, the service is so horrible! We have been to this place twice, not sure if there will be a third time. Ive been a server for more than half my life, I fully understand how crazy & busy you can get... However this place is PACKED! GET SOME HELP! We had to get our own menus, once we finally gave our order to the waitress and got our delicious corned beef sandwiches, we had nothing to drink with it! We waited 20 minutes for our beers. We are very particular with where we eat out at & where we spend our money, this place would have been a great place to add to that list. Too bad.

Two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside... That's the best I can sum an experience at this joint. There are generally fights, ridiculousness, and tons and tons of alcohol. This place definitely over-serves its guests, and is ran horribly. They don't do a good job of stopping confrontations before they start, and they let things get way, way out of hand. They cater too much to their regulars, and the bouncers know who they are and give them preferential treatment when a fight ultimately breaks out, and it never fails at this place. Just because it's surrounded by trailer parks, a bar doesn't have to cater to that crowd. I have a good time "people watching" here, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that just wants to have a casual night out.

The Asian Zing wings are so darn good that I have to have them at least once a week! They are huge, the breading is crispy and the sauce OMG, I could drink it! Their Pizza is awesome, I really haven't had a meal there that I didn't like. Their daily specials are always something different that is not on their regular menu. Their burgers are huge if you like craft beef this is your place! Staff is really friendly and Matt is the best behind the bar! Great place to hang out young and old. Such a variety of ages in there all the time shows that they have something to offer no matter how old you are.

The blue cheese salad dressing is great, Too bad they only use iceberg lettuce. The Lasagna was not like the true Italian lasagna that grandma used to make. But not bad. My daughter had the ranch house burger and it was great. My son had the steak and was given a generous portion that was very good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well that was in our party There is a good age mix here from 21 to 70. TV's were everywhere and they will put any chanel that you like on at least one of them.

Food is great, service is either terrible or just understaffed. We're tired of waiting forever to get served on a consistent basis. Once the bar at 22/Romeo Plank is done, we'll have a hard time justifying the 1 mile round trip to the hub.

Always had a good experience here but only had drinks. The drinks were always made well. The bartenders were polite and the other workers I spoke too were really interesting as well. I would go back here especially since it is close to my gf's house.

Have been wanting to stop in here for about a year but just never went this way to stop. Glad I did! I had seen the other reviews for this place and it wasn't even close to what I expected. This place has a lot of gaming tables; pool, darts, etc. and a lot of TV's of every size encircling the perimeter. It's kept a little dark as you get farther into the bar, which is a big wrap around style with a large island of alcohol in the middle, they even have a chilled Fireball dispenser, because.. why not? The tables were spread about in a slightly odd fashion, but there was enough room to move around, it just looked like they could squeeze a handful more seats in there, somewhere. Bar is all neutral colors and the decor seemed to consist solely of the TV's. They have outdoor seating in the front and enough room for 6 tables outside. I got there and it was afternoon and it was an older crowd ranging from 40's on up and everyone was really friendly. They have a large beer selection of Michigan made beers as well as some of the better known US micro brews. Makes sense because there is a Craft Brewery store literally next door, lol. I stopped in for a bite to eat and to see if they had any beers that might be worth checking out and they did. The menu really doesn't scream 'Bistro', but the prices didn't scream it either, so i'll take it as a win. I had a Reuben, because if you have a Reuben on your menu, i'm getting that first. It was a good sandwich, not a towering mountain of meat and cheese, but it was enough to make me not angry at the world for the time being. Staff was friendly enough, but the only one that paid any attention to me was the guy I started with. There were maybe 4 others there that barely acknowledged me, but seemed very chummy with everyone else at the bar, and they all knew those people by their first names, one can guess they are all regulars. I guess that made me.. irregular. As the noon turned into night, the crowd got younger and younger and a DJ showed up about 9ish but I didn't stick around. Next time I probably will.

Came here for my birthday this weekend and I am super impressed! Our server was absolutely amazing, Alyssa did an amazing job. The environment for a Friday night was good as well. It wasn't too crowded but it was definitely busy! I had a party of 20 so I did the $25 off my bill deal along with the pizza and salad. We never got the pizza and salad though but I also forgot about it and by the time I remembered it was too late. My birthday was awesome and this sports bar was the perfect place! Music was a little old school for a Friday night but we still made the best of it! Price was reasonable as well. They have an awesome beer selection, on draft and in bottle as well. I've eaten here previously and I've never had a complaint about the food either. Definitely a good bar food kind of meal but better!

My mom tried making reservations for 30-35 people and called February 4th with Art and Jakes, which was 3 days before our party plans. Spoke with the someone to see if they couldn't take reservations, to call an hour ahead of time, and they would get things ready to accommodate us. We then called yesterday an hour before and they said start getting things ready. So we show up and were told it's going to be an hour wait because they had a another party back in the room and they haven't even gotten their food yet. Waited a half hour and then was told after inquiring to make sure it was going to only another half hour and then was told that they're just getting their food and then said it'd be another hour and a half before we could be "accommodated". So my mother spoke with the manager and my mother was told that "30-35 people is hard to accommodate on a Saturday night!" She should have said that on the phone the first day calling to try to make reservations, instead of having us telling our entire party to come there and then turning us ALL down at the last minute. My dads 50th birthday plans were ruined because of them. So after being told that bullcrap we all packed up and went over to the Hub on 21 & Garfield. Of course we called before leaving and the manager said they could easily accommodate us. We ordered pizzas for everyone and I must say, their pizza were really REALLY good, their spinach and artichoke dip was amazing. Fast and super friendly service, never had to look for our waitress, making sure we were good with food and specially our drinks. My first experience at Art & Jakes was not a good one and won't be returning but will ways make it a habit to head over to the Hub!

All I can say is if you're hungry and thirsty go somewhere else. 45 minutes and served 1 beer. Should have known better, a sports bar in a strip mall with "Bistro" in its name...right!!!

Friendly service and very good beer selection, especially for this side of town. They have Dripa....enough said. Crowd skews towards younger and a bit loud, but it's still a welcoming place. Have never eaten here so can only speak to the atmosphere and beer selection.

I come here all the time. mostly because it's closer to my house and they serve Kuhnhenn's famous DRIPA. They have awesome food as well; I recommend the quesadilla burger or the mushroom, bacon, & Swiss burger. The service is almost always perfect, especially if you're a regular (which there are a lot of here). Atmosphere wise it's a little dumpy looking on the outside (not the Hubs fault just the location). I told the owner he should open a new location, this place gets packed and people love it here. Other than that people wise; all ages come here, it's pretty sweet. Older folks are mostly in the am/late afternoon and on the weekend nights it's intense packed with a younger crew and sometimes people dancing.

LOVE THIS PLACE! For so long this restaurant space was the place businesses go to die...not so for the Hub! Beer selection is killer and so too is their menu. My husband and I have slowly been working our way through the menu and everything is fantastic. Favorites include the quesadilla burger and pizzas. Great place to go for a fun night out and/or to watch the game! So excited we have found our "local bar"!

What a great find. It's in the middle of a strip mall on the SE corner of 21 mile rd and Garfield. The wings were some the best I've had in metro Detriot. In fact, the "bar food" is well above the norm. The fried artichokes were delicious. We had a party of ten including four young kids. Everybody raved about the food from bleu buger to the kids chicken fingers. Recreation includes, pool tables, video golf, and beer pong - yes beer pong. It's not however, a rowdy place. They have at least twenty new TV with the full sports package. We asked for several games and not only did they have them available but also knew how to find the right channel. (Ever been to a sports bar where five different people try to find the game you're looking to watch only to have them find it after the big play was made if at all.) I think Alec T hit the nail on the head - "It's a classy sports bar w/o the classy prices". I highly recommend the Hub for an afternoon of game watching, a casual evening out the your favorite squeeze, and a great place to bring the kids.

It appears that things are moving more smoothly at the Hub, since the last time I was there. Bar is nicely stocked, lights are in above the pool tables, the bar even has beer pong now as well. The menu had stickers over the prices, I noticed they have (surprisingly) LOWERED the price of food. The boyfriend commented on the MANY MANY televisions, and the nice sports package from DirecTV as well.... He seemed to plan to come back with some buddies... Kudos to the clean restrooms as well! :)

I can see how people may think this is a mediocre place, and I didn't experience any over serving or serving to minors that Jeff F. is refering to. The bouncer definitely checked our IDs at the door. The drinks were appropriately portioned but good! Their $4 three olives vodka drinks were a good special Saturday night. The DJ was DJ Marquis, spinning new and old school jams. It was very nostalgic to be there, reminded me of the good old times. I never tried the food, but the staff and crowd were nice. I had a good time, will definitely go there again.

Nice friendly neighbor bar. I'm a big fan of craft beer and they have a nice selection both on tap and bottled. And they usually have my favorite IPA from Kuhnhenn the DRIPA. The food is good I've only tried the pizza but friends have liked the burgers.

Over serves and serves minors. The bouncer is too busy hitting on girls to check IDs. Every time I'm in there it's like an 18 and up party because of the incompetent bouncers and staff. The food and service is mediocre at best. People crash into the building outside because of over serving.

  • The Hub Sports Bistro combines a fun sports bar atmosphere with an impressive bistro menu that should please Detroit sports fans and self-proclaimed foodies alike. The modern sports bar includes a spacious dining area, a sleek lounge and a game area outfitted with foosball, beer pong and pool tables. All the major sporting events are broadcast on the bar's 20 flat screen high-definition TVs. The menu is certainly not a typical sports bar menu. Appetizers include fried calamari, pretzel crusted crab cakes and spicy shrimp, along with the standard wings and spinach & artichoke dip. The bar's popular dishes include Fall off the bone ribs, sliders and the fried calamari appetizer. One of the bar's specialies is made-to-order stir-fries ranging from mild to extra spicy with your choice of protein (chicken, beef, shrimp or calamari), steamed rice or asian noodles, and one of six flavorful sauces- including Thai Peanut! Another specialty is the pizza, which I can vouch is quite tasty. A variety of toppings are available. The pizza I tried with pepporoni, black olives and banana peppers was delicious. The menu also includes soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches. The bar features 20 beers on tap, including import and hand-crafted beers. They also offer wine by the glass or bottle with a $1 off wine by the glass special all weekend long. I've also heard the bar is planning to add a martini/specialty drink list soon. Prices are moderate, though more expensive than most sports bars but less than or on par with restaurants that offer similar food options. However, the bar does offer a $5.99 Express Lunch Menu. The lunch menu includes sliders, soup & salad, philly beef sandwhich, chicken caesar wrap and a cordon blue sandwich. I'd reccommend this bar as a quiet spot for a leisure or business lunch. It also has a nice selection of dinner entrees and an atmosphere for a fun night drinking with friends and/or watching the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, Lions or Pistons.

Great atmosphere for watching a game. The service is fantastic. Every server we have had has been friendly and fun. The food is fantastic for bar food. The burgers, sandwiches, salads and pizza are all delicious. Reasonably priced.
