I was visiting Ludington and decided to try Michael's for lunch. When I walked in with my fiancé we waited for a few minutes for a waitress to notice us. When a woman came up, we were told to go find a seat for ourselves and she would help us in a minute. I'm not sure if everyone seats themselves, but considering there were a lot of dirty tables around and I had no idea how the restaurant was laid out I was a bit irritated (it wasn't busy). We found a booth, and sat down. Shortly after a different waitress came up with no greeting (awkward.. There was no music or background noise, either) and took our drink order, once she brought our drinks we were told she would be back shortly to take our order, over 10 minutes went by so we put money for the drinks and left... I don't know if these two girls were the only ones in the restaurant or what was going on but I will not recommend Michael's and have no interest in trying it again. Waste of time - go somewhere else!

I don't know if I'm considered a tourist or not... but I have been coming to Ludington for 30 years now. I like Michael's... its a great place to go for dinner. The food and menu is pretty good, and they have a good bar and sometimes have live music. We often meet groups of people here and come with big parties and never have any problems. They are always very accommodating.

An unspectacular establishment. The bar is decent, and they offer a good selection of mixed drinks, and it's one of the few places in town that has live entertainment. As for the food, it's pretty mediocre. If you want to stop somewhere for a drink or to relax, Michael's works. There are better food options in town however.

Food is alright, nothing too special about it, somewhat decent prices. Cool atmosphere for a Ludington place. Not the best, but not the worst. I would not go out of my way to eat here.

Drinks were good, but the good at lunch was very very slow and was not good. Ruben was very dry, blue cheese burger was soooo over cooked. Chips were burnt. Not planning another trip back. There was hardly anyone in here either.

The Rueben from Michaels is the BEST IV'E EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! They use real, tender corned beef off a brisket- NOT slices of processed corned beef that looks like a cold cut. It's FANTASTIC!!

Service is horrible. Owner is always drunk at the bar. Not a classy place at all. Food is way over priced for bar food.

Great service friendly people and the food is delicious and fairly cheap. I recommend this place as a must if you ever come here .

Late night (10 pm!) burgers and fries were super good, cooked perfectly. We also had the fried pickles, which have a nice, light and crunchy cornbread style coating. Options are VERY few in Ludington in June for late night dining but you can count on Michael's. Ignore the bad reviews. Probably someone from another bar putting those up.

It's an old bar with friendly, prompt service and basic bar food. Had tortilla soup that was average. Also split a Reuben which was below average, very chewy. I'm not going back but looks like fun if you like playing pool

My husband and I had been coming here since they opened, we're done!! This year has clinched it for us, the Michael's we fell in love with is gone! We're appalled by the blatant disregard for over serving... Themselves!! The "prime rib" on their sandwiches - steak-ums, they NEVER change the oil in the fryers and the list goes on and on! To the owners: Please.. Please .. Please get some help with your drinking!! The mother sitting at the end of the bar being a "well"shot hero, making an ass out of herself is one thing, but you young man, used to be a very hopeful, happy, vibrant guy... Don't let this be YOUR legacy!!

WARNING: Do NOT order the perch sandwich. For $8 you get 2 little pieces of perch on a bun. Ordered it and sent it back. Going to have to eat lunch somewhere else...

The food here is quite well done. It is a bar and grille so the menu reflects that. I think the appetizers are the best. Bacon wrapped wings are simply devine and very well executed. We got them with the bourbon BBQ and it was awesome. The Idaho Nachos - homemade potato chips with a choice of different toppings was definitely a winner. Individual pizza is great. The French dip is also well done. The stuffed burger with pepper jack and bacon is just fantastic.

This is a perennial stop when we are in Ludington. The food and drink are great. The wait staff is courteous and friendly. In fact when I ordered a Guiness the waitress returned in a minute to apologize saying she didn't want to serve my beer until it settled because she wanted to be sure I didn't get just a glass of foam. The whole place was full of patrons obviously having a great time. Apparently this bar takes its motto very seriously. "Good food, good fun, good times "

Really great food. The reuben is amazing. Also the blue cheese burger with bacon, grill jalapeños, and grilled onions is fantastic.
