Elite Sweets makes, by far, the most consistently delicious cakes I've ever had. They did our wedding cake several years ago, and since then we've had (and/or manufactured) reason to return on many occasions. There is a decent variety of flavor combinations available, and the cakes are unfailingly decadent. They have a variety of torte cakes behind the counter at any given time, so if you're willing to choose from what's currently available, you can stop by and pick something up on the spur of the moment. While the insides of the cakes get the most attention, it would be wrong to go without mentioning the outside--the frosting is terrific. Butter cream frosting is always quite sweet, but on fancy cakes it's quite often so disgustingly sugary that there are gobs of it left on the plates at the end of the night (I'm sure there's a structural and/or textural reason to make it like that, but I can't imagine that flavor plays a big role). Elite Sweets butter cream frosting is definitely sweet (and will still show up on a few discarded plates), but it doesn't make me sick after a couple of bites, and the texture is amazing (going from slightly stiff to melt-in-your-mouth in a smooth and not unpleasant fashion). You won't go wrong here, unless you dislike dessert.

I haven't met one person that doesn't love Elite Sweets. Their torte cakes are amazing. Not only do they look awesome (check out the website) but they taste great. The coconut cream and Godiva cakes are my favorites.

The reviews speak for themselves-just order from here already! We got our wedding cake here--there were so many flavors to choose from, just pick one and I assure you, it'll be a hit. They are very professional, very reasonabe in price and very experienced. Stop in and see all the pictures of the owner with famous people on the wall while you're enjoying your sample. The cake was very popular at the wedding, everyone loved it. Get to it, go now!!!

i love elite sweets because i got my wedding cake here. it was gorgeous. it was the dynasty cake: "chocolate chiffon cake, split and filled with a white chocolate mousse, dark chocolate mousse and raspberries finished with white and dark chocolate plaques and shavings." jesus christ, it makes my mouth water. we had another layer of some strawberry shortcake or something, and that was great, but the dynasty is the stuff bridal magazines gush about. they were super professional and even gave us a free small cake on our anniversary the next year (which my parents totally forced me to share with them) so we didn't have to put the top layer in the freezer and attempt to gag it down the following year.

WOWWWW! Chocolate cake! I took my own advice, chocolate cake. Lucky fror me my wife and daughter chose it for a couple layers of the wedding cake. It was great! the cake batter was a deep milk chocolatey taste. The white buttercream frosting was real good. Lucky for us there was a little of the cake left as we took it home and I it ate every day for a week. Outstanding!

Hands down the best cakes!!! My family orders the white alpine torte cake for every occasion and even for my sisters wedding!! I went to a cake place voted "best cakes" by hour magazine and was so disturbed because elite sweets is a million times better!!!! Do yourself a favor and order a torte cake for yourself!!! Divine and decadent!!!!

The wedding cake was one aspect of my wedding that I didn't really think too hard about in the beginning. It isn't the first thing I usually notice at weddings so I wasn't that concerned with getting it perfect. Luckily, after a bit of research, I found Elite Sweets. The entire process was very easy. The prices were reasonable and the cake was delicious. I was so surprised at how elegant it looked on our dessert table. They did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure each time I interacted with them. The cake was delivered without an issue and it was one less thing I had to be worried about on our big day. I highly recommend them.

My boss used to have cakes from Elite Sweets for any occasion we could think of and then I started doing the same form my family occasions. I have tried many of them and have never been disappointed. Yes they are a bit pricey but these are tortes and they taste as good as they look, which I have found to be rare! They are located in a strip mall and it is small and unassuming but they knock out the cakes and are very busy. They always have a decent selection should you need something and didn't have time to order. BONUS: They have 'happy hour' reduced cake prices after in the afternoon!

Absolutely incredible! Tried the cupcakes at a baby shower and we were HOOKED! We ordered my sister's graduation cake and some cupcakes for her party and everything was delicious. Everyone loved it and it was beautiful. Wish this place wasn't so far away, but we will still gladly make the drive for these amazing cakes!

I honestly could not be happier with my experience here with the cake I had made for my wife's 30th Birthday. It turned out awesome! When I hinted at my wife what type of cake she would want she said Chocolate and Peanut Butter. I was afraid that combination would be overly rich, but surprisingly it was not. The Chocolate Cake was perfectly moist and the Peanut Butter Whipped Filling was decadent, but not overpowering that you couldn't finish your piece. One slice though was more than enough. The Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable too. The lady who I believe owns the place was super excited about the design and it showed in her work. Price wise it was very reasonable as well. Apart from my Wedding I have never had a "fancy" cake like this made before and I was expecting to pay a lot more than what I did for it. I will definitely go back there in the future when I need a cake like that made for a special occasion.

I'm going to give a very mixed review here on Elite Sweets. 1st, the cakes are deelish. No doubt they are very good. I've had birthday cakes from here several times, no issues. Nothing special in regards to decoration, I usually get the White Alpine. Can't complain at all! But.... I ordered my daughters baby shower cake here. The shower was in February, during one of the worst snow storms. I preordered with very specific requests. One was that I wanted a skirt, and a bow, and a sleeping baby on top with dark skin. I specifically asked about the skin tone since the mommy to be is African American. So I gave them the date of the shower and she wrote it down, I said I would pick it up the day of at 10 am. So off I go to pick up the cake, trekked out in the snow storm, white knuckled the whole way. Relieved to get there, I told them I'm there to pick up my cake. There seems to be some confusion, they ask my name again, look in their book (again)....walk in the back, gone forever, look in another book, proceed to ask if I have my date right?????? I am ready to scream at this point. I have 40 people coming to my home, for this shower, I have 10 million things to do, and you're asking me if I have my date right?? Wow. So I ask, is my cake ready? She shakes her head no. She said I was put in for the week after. Long story short, they offered to quickly get the cake ready. They said they could have it ready before the shower. The owner dropped it off at my house a couple hours later. The only issue at that point was that the sleeping baby which I had very specifically said needs to be dark skinned, was fair with red hair. Not what I asked for. It actually became a source of entertainment, but still disappointing. Having said all this, the cake WAS delicious as always. So I guess you take the good and hope this doesn't happen. Not every business is perfect. And they DID give me a credit for another cake which I did take them up on. This time I stuck with the White Alpine.....

No wedding occassion, but not needed for sweets. We had Elite Sweets cupcakes brought to work by a coworker. Chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet. They were all decorated nicely and they were buttercream frosted. I tried the red velvet which has a light cream cheese frosting. It was tasty and not too overpowering. The red velvet cake itself was not dry, nor super moist either. I liked the red candy sprinkles that garnished the outer layer of the frosting as well. Presentation wise: superb. Taste: Okay.

Extremely rude! My mom ordered a birthday cake and specifically asked if it contained tree nuts. She was told that only almonds and almond extract were used. Upon opening the box, she discovered it was coated in walnuts. She called to make sure they were almonds and found out they were ground walnuts. When she asked for a refund, they told her they would scrape off the nuts. That does not work for two children with life threatening tree nut allergies. They seemed very inconvenienced and clueless about anaphylaxis. It took two phone calls to remedy the situation and get them to agree to a refund when they so politely hung up.

Elite Sweets was the one aspect of our wedding that was perfect. It was one thing we never had to worry about. Yes it is somewhat pricey, but the peace of mind that comes from getting a perfect cake is so SOOO worth it. They made us a fabulously beautiful 3 tiered square cake with fondant flowers and leaves cascading down the front. How amazing is it that each tier of the cake can be a different flavor for FREE? Score! Bottom tier: Lemon Chiffon, second tier: Chocolate Raspberry Chambord, top tier: Chocolate chocolate mousse with raspberry. Our guests were obsessed with our cake flavors and how nice it looked. Elite Sweets will also bake you an anniversary cake for your 1-year anniversary. I will be stuck in Virginia in labor with our baby on our anniversary and I'm hoping they will let us get our anniversary cake a few months late when we visit Michigan with our little girl!

Very disappointed in this place. A month ago they told me that they could make a cake for my husband's 30th surprise party. Go in there on Friday and they "all of a sudden" stopped making fake tiers. Didn't even offer to make the bottom tier an actual cake. Only thing good about this place is they recommended me to Mrs. Maddox Cakes and the lady was AWESOME who helped me! They'll be making my cake without a "fake tier" so thanks for the recommendation.

There was an imprint/indentation in the icing on the top tier of my wedding cake. I attribute this to the person who stacked the wedding topper on. The wedding toppers were also placed backwards with groom's name with girl topper and bride's name with groom topper, not to mention off center. Although looks were less than perfect, the cake was delicious.

I was introduced to this bakery more than 10 years ago. My favorite cakes are Bailey's Irish Cream and Cappuccino. When I was getting married I ordered from Elite Sweets, of course. We had small and intimate wedding reception so we ordered perfect two tier wedding cake. We chose Black Forest and Mocha Kahlua with butterscotch frosting. Our cake looked fantastic and tasted even better. Fresh, not too sweet, just right.Perfect. My husband and I were really happy. Our guests too. As good as it gets? You bet.

This is always my default for work parties if I don't have time to make a cake myself. For my office manager's party she wanted carrot cake. And since I had there's before I knew it would be good but since she was only going to have a piece and leave the rest I opted for cupcakes this time. I should mention for the 9-10" cake it was around $24-25 So the cupcakes were a more inexpensive at $1.75 for the standard size (which I think is pretty competitive for places like just baked, etc.) I also asked for a red velvet to gild the lily a little more. Everyone enjoyed the cupcakes but the butter cream cheese frosting on both varieties was thrown off just a little by the almond extract they add. It's just not our favorite but still a really nice crumb to the cake and the decoration was a nice presentation. That said their cakes are beautiful and prices are fair. FYI they don't accept credit some come with cash in hand.

Perfect wedding cake for our small wedding. Elite did a stellar job and the cake was not only beautiful, it was so very tasty. Definitely a highlight for our big day. They really worked with us, designing something that pleased both my dessert snob husband and little old love any sugar but hate fondant on wedding cake me. I knew I did not want fondant but I still wanted simple yet elegant looking featuring James' as usual spot on pick of fillings and they really stepped up to the plate, so much to choose from. The chocolate shavings here that decorate so many of the cakes add a lot to their designs, they are not stiff perfection or out there. I think of their cakes as more down to earth truly tasty type elegance. We love ordering their tortes for parties, so many wonderful flavor combinations, we usually end up trying a new one every time. I adore the cherry hazelnut torte, yellow chiffon cake, split and filled with hazelnut mousse and cherry filling covered with buttercream decorated with maraschino cherries and chocolate. I also really love the Bailey's Irish Cream torte which is chocolate chiffon cake, split four times and layered with chocolate Bailey's Irish Cream mousse, finished with buttercream and chocolate wedges. The fruit flavored cakes here are out of this world. The banana rum is a bit of a misnomer, it is more like an uber fresh banana cream pie in cake form. My dad's favorite cake here by far is the strawberry shortcake and it is quite dreamy I will admit. You even cannot go wrong with the simplicity of white alpine or it's opposite cake, autumn leaves. Really though I have not had a cake from here I did not love. They have so many to choose from and they all never fail to impress. fresh, delicious and perfectly done.

After hearing people talk and talk about how great Elite Sweets is, I was so excited to have them make our wedding cake. We went in for a tasting and the cake was pretty good although their frosting is more like whipped cream (they call it "butter cream") and I truly like sugar frosting. They said they don't have sugar frosting. Anyway, the cake itself was pretty amazing. It was fresh, soft, everything you could hope for. Fast forward to our wedding day...the cake looked beautiful (but our caterer put fresh flowers on the cake since Elite Sweets could not do it for some reason). We tasted it...it was so DRY it tasted a week old! Maybe their small cakes are good and fresh, but out wedding cake sucked. We had better cake (from a different store) for my wedding shower.m I was expecting it to be as amazing - it was NOT.

cakes and cookies too! we were referred to this place by a friend more than 10 years ago. we used to bring cakes to out of town friends from here. now that we are out of town, we'll get it for special occasions when we're in town. it is simply a great place and it's not worth to try other places. the prices are still fair and the service it really good. we tried to get our wedding cake here, but they were booked. so we were referred to the s'craft chef who consults or taught them and he was great. location: easy parking on this corner strip mall inside: small, but that's all you need value: still fair prices service: fine taste: very good return?: all the time for any cake needs in the area notes: 'happy hour' reduced cake prices after 4pm? on saturdays! and enjoy the pics of the owner and all the celebs while you're waiting. still no website? maybe business is that good.
