I used a Groupon deal late last year to try out Dream Dinners. We've just finished the last meal out of our freezer, and I can easily say 'I am a fan!' The Groupon was for 36 individual meals for $89 (a $200+ value). I set it up so we would have 10 dinners for 3 people (two portions for dinner and the 3rd split between us for lunch) and 1 dinner for 6 people. Dinners only come 3 or 6 portions. You reserve an hour to prepare your dinners, but my prep took longer (with 11 dinners to prepare by myself). The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering everyone coffee and warm fruit cobbler, and I did not feel rushed to leave. I love to cook, so I was in my glory here. Each section of the store is set up with ingredients for the dishes available that month. The staff walks you through everything, and you get the hang of it pretty quick. The recipes include directions for what goes in each bag, and everything for the dinner gets tossed into a gallon sized freezer bag, labeled with the dinner and cooking instructions. Some of our favorite dinners were Simmered Chinese Chicken with Jasmine Rice (which included 3 bs breasts, a spicy teriyaki-style sauce, a bag of sesame seeds, and a bag of Jasmine Rice), Chicken and White Bean Chili with Corn Fritters (a spicy thick chili with separate bags of corn muffin mix, egg + milk, and blue cheese + onions that you mix together for fried corn cakes), and Nine Layer Lasagna (a vegetarian option with tons of fresh mushrooms and spinach). Of course you have to make sure you have the freezer space for 10+ gallon bags of food... but it's wonderful to come home and have all the prep work done, and a meal on the table in, on average, 30 minutes.
