The best donuts around, no question. I go stop in every week, but have to stop myself from going every day. The raised donuts are so good that just the glazed are amazing, don't even need chocolate or fillings, but if you want them those are fantastic too! This is an old school inexpensive spot that specializes in coffee and donuts, had a counter, and chats with regulars. I miss places like this so I want them to be around forever!

This is a gem of a place. A classic donut shop with basic tasty coffee that you don't find anymore. The owner is a little kind old lady who is a total sweetheart and makes great donuts. In a few years this place will be gone along with all others like it. Take the time to enjoy it while you can. Also, the corporate monolith Dunkin Donuts is opening a store on the same block. They know this is a good spot and they intend to destroy this little old lady and her business. It is really disgusting. Enjoy your factory donuts served by surly high schoolers who spit in your coffee.

Because of the I-96 closure, I've discovered several "new" places I haven't seen before, Dough Boy Donuts being one of them. The mom and pop facade called out to me one morning while stuck in traffic on Plymouth Rd. I made sure to bookmark the place as a reminder. While reading other reviews, I noticed they mentioned CASH ONLY. Good thing I didn't stop that day since I had no cash. These were the best donuts I have ever had. I tried to savor the 3 I purchased plus the apple fritter but they were gone before lunch. I had a crueler, strawberry glazed (recommendation from my friend), and a mocha glazed. The apple fritter was a little overcooked but still tasty. This place might become the reason why I will carry cash.

Sometimes you just need a donut. After shopping for records. Be sure to bring cash; no credit here or debit. They are always friendly in this place, and I actually like the coffee that I must have with my donut. Even in the afternoon, donuts are still fresh, but limited. I recommend the glazed bowtie or strawberry frosted. Yum.

Best donuts ever, u can forget about dunking and all those places, this is the place to go for your donut needs, not to sweet, just right, always fresh and they open from 6 am as much as I noticed. Kind of easy to miss cause of the signs r about dead. But still is best and family owned, and great great great prices. Would got 5 stars if they didn't take only cash but it is what it is

They had almost nothing left when I'd stopped by around noon one day, but what they had was good. My favorite donut was probably the apple fritter. The glazed and chocolate were good, but Dom's has a slight edge.

Best doughnuts ever! Nothing too fancy or over the top - definitely delicious. Always fresh, always friendly. This place has been around for forever...my family used to stop every Sunday after church when I was young (totally not going to date myself by saying exactly how long ago that was :) ). The 'bowtie' glazed doughnuts were our absolute favorite as kids! I also highly recommend the Strawberry Glazed - the glaze itself is strawberry flavored, so it's not overpowering, but there's still no mistaking the strawberry flavor. The Dutch Apple is also a must-try. The strusel topping on it is absolutely fantastic! I've always gotten a dozen or so to go, but the shop has a very 'hometown' feel to it inside. There are usually a few regulars at the counter, and it's a nice, quiet atmosphere - perfect for reading or getting some work/studying accomplished. Between the childhood nostalgia and the still amazing doughnuts, it's my favorite place to go for a doughnut fix :)

My friend and I made an impulsive stop here after arriving early for an appointment in the area. What a nice surprise! Yes, Dough Boy Donuts has been around awhile, not spiffy, shiny new like the national chains you see everywhere, but this place seemed to have "history". I ordered a double chocolate donut and iced tea. I watched as my tea was steaped and then poured over ice and then more ice was added. I definitely got my cup of iced tea! My donut was soft, chocolatey, and freshly made. As I waited for my friend to place her order, (she took longer to scope out all the donut choices) and grabbed a seat, I was so surprised to see the collection of books spread throughout the shop. This is a clean, quiet spot to work on a puzzle, read the newspaper or maybe a couple chapters in your favorite book. I will be sure to remember to stop here again for a sit down break after a long drive. Maybe next time I'll try out one of the "historic" stools at the counter. ** Cash Only ** ** Open 24 Hours **

nothing really stood out as great. cream filling/filled had no richness, tasted like it was made with water rather than cream or even milk. glazed sweet enough for me but not a texture i like.. strawberry filled had an odd taste, trying to be real but just coming off as chemicals. peanut donut very crumbly, will end up down the front of you tho tasted fine. chocolate cake bland, didn't taste any chocolate flavor. did like the sour cream. i will not try this place again.
