Today my family went to the drive thru to order & my husband and I ordered everything all wrong and completely messed up our order. The lady taking our order was incredibly polite and patient as we went over the order with her and had to remove items. Even when we were met face to face with her at the window she had an excellent attitude. Despite all of the confusion we caused we received our order and it was 100% correct! Screw taco bell, DEL TACO ALL THE WAY.

have given this place a couple tries. so bland, so tasteless. tried the new jalapeno nachos, the cheese sauce is flavorless, and the same for the beans. dry, no sauce, hard chips. just can't say anything good. same for burritos, vegetarian ones, anyway. can't speak for their meat items. taco bell so much better.

i always say you come to del taco when you want fast food mexican that won't be super greasy and leave you feeling like crap. if you know the magic behind del taco then you know everything is fresh. they shred their cheese and cut most of the veggies in house, which is what makes them unique. their meat isn't greasy and it tastes homemade! their burritos are huge and quite delicious, if you're looking for lots of flavor try one of the epic burritos. fast food is fast food, but i prefer del taco over Taco Bell most of the time.

Kid loves the epic burrito. Did have guac on it. Will try this place again. Toppings seem fresh. Kinda pricey but the portions are big. You only need one $5 burrito and you will be full.

No turkey tacos available on my trip, which was the whole reason i went; and too much cheese on everything, this coming from an excessive cheese devourer. Churros were fantastic though. Maybe i just need to find the right stuff there but it shouldnt be that hard. After this and hot burrito, maybe taco bell is still the one to beat in the five and middlebelt area

This is hands down the best Del Taco I've ever been to. The Tacos were made perfectly; when I ate them, not one piece fell off. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh. I can't speak about their food enough. The employee were friendly, and are generous with the sauce. I was actually given enough to enjoy my meal. I was craving Del Taco for some reason, and this Del Taco definitely satisfied that craving. Can't wait to come back!

25 years ago I really liked Del Taco in Cali when I was in the military and wanted to eat large portions of okay to pretty good fast food. This did not live up to my old experiences. Slow and rude staff, out of sausage. You know, mostly the staff. They ruined a stop for me, and I don't think I will be back. ETA: The marketing boss emailed the same morning and wanted details to correct the issues. I gave them, and she offered to mail a gift card to retry the location. I will update after I get the card and I am in the area there.

I was having a snickers moment and the nearest , fast place was del taco- I'm not one for fast food, but Taco Bell has always been my junk food place - especially after a late night out- LOL For fast food, Americanized taco/ mexican food - like this BETTER than Taco Bell. We ordered 2 tacos- one hard/ one soft and macho nacho beef- My tacos looked like tacos- meaning they were actually filled with good ratio of beef, lettuce , cheese ( tomatoes were thrown in too) and there actually was cheese on the taco- not a sprinkle of 5-6 - the beef wasn't overly salty. They were perfect tacos. The nachos were yummy too biiiig portion and again ratio of toppings to chips perfect. They even had jalapeño peppers...Next time I'll do a side by side of TB VS DT. There is a difference in taste and visual appearance. The staff was very nice, too

Praise to the taco gods for opening up a location near my work. Still, Del Tacos are always a little out of the way but always worth it! I tried their chicken quesadilla for the first time and it was pretty good. Not as flavorful or saucy as Taco Bells but I liked it. All around DT is still my favorite mexi-fast food around. This location is pretty new and they were busy but not a bad spot to get a DT fix.

Yes, it's fast food. That being said, it's good. Got their macho nachos (the employee recommended chicken) so I went with it. I've never had a piece of chicken so moist from a competitor of theirs...... Ever. Their sauces are also good. Inferno and scorcho(hot and medium sauces). They have a basket of all of the sauces on each table. Today, all baskets were filled that I saw. I also ordered a regular taco. Could have just ordered the macho it was filling enough, but because of this review, I had to try the taco. It was actually filled. Meet, lettuce and cheese. You could see all three. I'll end my review with this: taco who?? While del taco is 4 miles further than that other place, I'll drive the additional miles.

My order is always correct, the food is delicious, and the service is good. Much better than the competition!

Two stars for the food, zero stars for the horrible customer service. The drive thru line was really long, but instead of getting an apology for the long wait, I got a rude, uncaring worker that could care less about customers and their time. I ordered 3 tacos, got no sauce and the food was just "okay". Customer service goes a long way, they should teach that to their employee.

I don't quite understand the hype about this fast food restaurant. I love a good taco and drove to Livonia to see what the excitement was about. I should have just stayed in Canton. I will say the amount of food you get is quite substantial. In addition, the ingredients to appear to be fresher than if you were to go to Taco Bell (I'm not quite sure if that is a fair comparison). But the taste was boring. I felt like I was back in elementary school and it was taco Tuesday. I ended up getting a taco and the nacho platter. The meat on the taco and in the nacho's were barely seasoned. The cheese sauce had hardly any taste to it. The only saving grace to the nachos were the few jalapeno's thrown on top. I will say they have a nice variety of options. Fish tacos, turkey tacos, nachos, quesadillas, chips and salsa, etc. Maybe it was just an off day, but I didn't care for it. I doubt I will be back.

This is a brand new location and so far I'm impressed. I've been to the Dearborn Heights location, so I knew what to expect. The food is decent and reasonably priced. I like the way this one is laid out. The line goes straight from the front door to the cash registers. Tables are along the side by the windows. They designed the parking lot so you can exit by going onto a side street with a traffic light in order to easily make a left turn onto Middlebelt Road if you need to. I ordered the burrito and taco combo along with a mini bacon quesadilla (sp?). It's good quality for the price and I will definitely be going back again. For me, it's in a far more convenient location than the Dearborn Heights store.

I don't understand they hype of this place. I love Mexican food and this has to be one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. Taco bell has better tasting food.

We have tried several Del Tacos and expected the same quality and service as in the past, but it wasn't quite there. We ordered our usual Tacos and Burritos and something was just a little off. It could be new employees just getting up to speed, so I can't make a final decision on just one visit. I expect them to get in the swing of things real soon. Three stars and I'

Place is great, the staff were friendly, and the food was good. (Its all about the ingredients man!) Far better than any place like it around this location, and the menu is pretty diverse for a taco place. I'm sure they will do well at this location, although it is smaller than the other one I went to. I'll be back.

This is a fast food review. This place blows away Taco Bell. Good menu variety and the food actually tasted good. Ordered one original, one chicken and one fish taco. All were better than any Taco Bell taco. Liked all the options as well. Will be back...not often but will be back.

Nasty about sums it up. It gets two stars for worker politeness, but the actual food was put together by an eight year old. I had only been to their Dearborn Hgts location a few years a go which was decent, and seen all the new businesses going in the area so figured I would give it a try. Bought two of the classic chicken burritos and it was empty for the first 3 inches, then a little lettuce, maybe a fee tomato chunks, oops, more lettuce, then one bite of nothing but cheese, and finally in the last 3/4's of an inch I think I found some chicken. #2 was a repeat of 1, with less chicken. Then I had an asada taco which was miniscule for 2 bucks and completely fell apart from a dried out corn taco wrap. Very pitiful, I won't be back. That's two for two for underachieving new businesses in that part of Livonia.
