I am in love w/ Bubbleberry. My favorite is Taro milk tea (w/ black tea & soy milk) and lychee popping bubbles. I LOVE the owner...I recently found out I'm Gluten intolerant. I posted on the company FB page asking if bubbletea is GF. He responded quickly. I visited the next day...he said that prior to answering my question, he called all of his vendors just to make sure!--that is some dedication to his customers! Here is my best explanation....bubble tea & boba are used interchangeably... They have 4 types of tea: 1. Infused iced tea-similar to a flavored tea (ie. Arnold Palmer, raspberry iced tea....etc) 2. Infused Icy- similar to a slurpee or slush 3. Infused milk tea- green or black tea based w/ a splash of half&half, soy milk, or skim milk. 4. Infused snow freeze-a milk tea in a milkshake form. They add ice to a standard milk tea & blend!--perfect for a hot summer day. Bubbles or boba: 1. Tapioca pearls: these are self explanatory & are the "standard bubbles" that are free w/ all of their bubble teas. 2. Popping bubbles: popular at Froyo places like Menchie's & Yogurt Mountain....they are little round balls that you bite into. They are filled w/ fruit juice...similar to a gusher fruit snack. 3. Star jellies: similar to fruit snacks in terms of tecture. *the popping bubbles & star jellies come in multiple flavors!* If you're at Laurel Park....stop by & say hi!!

The owner here is awesome. I know a bit about bubble tea and different types and flavors. They are one of the only stores that have MangoStar Jelly, and that's fantastic! Also had a strawberry crepe and couldn't ask for more. This place is a must go if you are here in Detroit. I'm from California and will be back to get this when I visit again!

Love this place!!! So glad I don't have to go to Ann Arbor or lansing to get a great bubble tea!!

They had no Boba to start off my worst experience. To top it off, the drinks are all made of powders that taste like they contain artificial sweeteners. I tossed my drink because it tasted awful. Don't go there it'll only leave you disappointed.

Finally, a bubble tea place closer than Ann Arbor! While doing some X-mas shopping, my wife and I stopped by this joint. Truth be told, we did our X-mas shopping in Laurel Park Place because we heard about this place. It did not disappoint. This place offers your standard milk teas with flavors (coconut, almond, taro, etc..) and free black "bubbles" (tapioca pearls). For $.50 more you can get jellys and popping bubbles (bubble that ooze with filling once you eat them). They also have "freezes" (same flavors as the milk teas). I found the freezes to be lacking in terms of flavor, but the milk teas were spot on. They also serve crepes here. I'm not much of a crepe person, but they looked to be decent. OVERALL- Good not great. The owners and guy working were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back for my fix. Celebrity Rating- Chow Yun Fat

The bubbles in their bubble teas are good enough to take one any bubble tea shop in Michigan. We had the almond milk tea- it was fabulous. Their black milk tea was also super delicious. I thought the price for what you get was very reasonable. The only downside was the wait is long. There was only one person working and if you have 2-3 customers in front of you ordering crepes and teas - you will be standing for a bit. I will be back again!

Friendly server/cashier/owner who was able to dish out multiple drinks at once. The crepes were completed with an even golden brown color. The owner recommended the turkey club crepe (savory side) and it was delicious! I got the honeydew milk tea, which was a bit too sweet but still tasted good when paired with the savory crepe. Will definitely come back!

I am so confused right now. The reason I stopped here was due to several rave reviews I read on here. So I'm in the area and I love bubble tea so I begin my journey. Issue #1-I drove around for 20 mins attempting to find this place. No where is it listed that this place is inside the mall! So ladies and gentleman allow me to tell you that crucial piece of information! It is located inside Laurel Park Place Mall, near Mrs. Fields cookies. Now that we've found the location I enter and to my dismay not a soul insight. No customers and no employees. I waited about 7 mins before a young lady came out from the back. No big deal I guess, I was reading the menu anyway. In addition to bubble tea they have crepes here which I did not sample during my visit. I ordered my go to drink, a mango milk tea with strawberry popping bubbles. I should have known this wasn't going to be good as I watched her make my drink. First issue there was no ice used. Second she hand mixed it with one of those cheap protein shake bottles and then just dumped in the poppers. So I leave and take a sip and it's warm! Hence the lack of ice. I took about two more sips and threw it away inside the mall. Didn't even make it to my car. It was chalky and warm and tasted nothing at all like bubble tea. I was so disappointed.

This place is good! Convenient, has a ton of flavors, and serves great crepes also. I've been there a couple times, most recently today. The guy working there had both drinks ready in about 2 minutes, so he was super fast. That's probably one of the best things about this place. As the actual quality of the drinks, it's a pretty basic bubble tea place. They have a ton of flavors (including a couple new ones that I saw today, like blue raspberry) like any other bubble tea place. I'd say the only different thing about this place is that they have crepes as well, but a lot of bubble tea places have food. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because it really doesn't stand out to me that much, since I think all bubble tea places are basically the same. Definitely go here though if you want bubble tea and you're in the area!

Love Bubbleberry for my afternoon work snack. Their fresh fruit smoothies are actually FRESH FRUIT! They always make the smoothies to your taste (let you taste before buying!) and they're always so refreshing. I love the pineapple blueberry smoothie! And I don't know if he's the owner or manager or what not, but the guy who is always working there in the afternoon is so nice!

The positives: reasonably priced, decent chewiness to the tapioca (boba), nice customer service The negatives: definitely doesn't compare in flavor to the tapioca milk teas out west (that usually go for $1.25-2.50 vs $2.75-3.75ish), not horrible but only ok (for example, my almond milk tea was a bit too sweet and my wife's regualr milk tea just didnt have much tea flavor). Overall, sufficient to satisfy a tapicoa milk tea craving but not something I'd get very often

Friendly service, reasonably priced, don't really care for the location but it's so hard to find bubble tea in this area! Will come back

Top notch experience all around. When we arrived there was only one guy working but he was quick, efficient and didn't liked stressed or anything, just kept rolling along. He took our order and a few other peoples and then made everyone's food, time saving game plan. My friend ordered a dessert crepe with bananas, nutella and pb which she raved about and devoured! She also ordered a bubble tea she said was good. I built my own crepe with a fried egg, all the veggies and provolone cheese wrapped in a sweet crepe bread, it was delicious! When I first got it I thought id need a box..umm I definitely ate it all and almost wanted another to take home haha! The guy working checked with us throughout our time there to see how our food was and if we needed anything. We will definitely be back! 5 stars for food, prices, customer service, efficiency and cleanliness.

I ordered a savory crepe. Service was fast and friendly and the portion was very generous considering the price. It was like the crepes you can get in Japan so you can eat on the go or you have the option to sit down and eat. My crepe was cooked perfect and tasted great. Can't wait to try a sweet version!

Friendly staff but VERY disappointing bubble tea. The bubbles were hard and bland. I had a taro bubble tea. I've had other bubble tea flavors but I can't remember what they were so I'm sure they weren't impressive either. Even though I've tried this place several times I could not find any bubble tea I liked.

This place is hidden but it's a nice little gem. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. I had a savory crepe and it was very delicious. The bubble tea is also really awesome! I will definitely come back.

The first time i got here, there was only one server and he was busy making crepes so I had to wait for like 5-10 minutes and then he tells me that they ran out of boba. Like, seriously? The second time was better. The lady was very knowledgable of the drinks and was very helpful. I had the watermelon green milk tea with boba while my friend got the raspberry green milk tea with boba as well and we both agree that the watermelon taste better. It was not the best boba tea I've ever had here in Michigan but it's not bad at all. I just hope they put more ice in it. I felt like the ice they used were the cheap, bad ones (if there's such thing as) because I saw the ice were like thin as hell the moment the lady hand me my drink and i could see it melting very fast and I so had to drink my boba tea quick because who wants to drink room temp boba milk tea? Overall, it was a good experience. Good service and good boba tea. I'll go back. Just ask for additional ice.

This place has THE best bubble tea in southeast Michigan. I have gotten their milk teas and snow freezes and they did not disappoint. The tapioca pearls are consistently perfect; perfect amount of chewy, perfect amount of hardness. They also have a lot of favors to choose from but Bubbleberry is one of the few places that actually have green tea flavor and is actually good (the Thai tea was to die for as well). I haven't tried their crepes yet but when the guy working there was making it for someone else, it smelled amazing. Definitely going to try it the next time I'm there.

I hear it's a new place? It's a really cute place, that's somewhat oddly located. But the atmosphere is very familiar and youthful. They sell both bubble tea (with regular boba and pop boba) as well as crepes. I had a strawberry something crepe and it was yummy. The girl working there offered me utensils and a plate, and it really helped in being able to eat semi-clean..er... I smushed the ice-cream into the crepe and then slowly ate it. Soooo GOOD :) My one slight dissatisfaction is that the crepe is a little thick. I'm used to a much thinner crepe. But someone in my party mentioned that it would be a good thickness for a savory crepe (they have those! Like a blt crepe!) I didn't try the bubble tea but I will definitely be back to try it. They have a wide variety of tea, smoothie, slushy type drinks etc... And a wide variety of boba too! So there's something to suit everyone's taste!

  • Emina H.

The staff was very nice and the prices were decent. Not sure if they use powder or syrup to flavor their bubble tea, either way it did not taste good compared to other bubble teas I've had in the past. The only thing I did like were the bubbles and jelly.

This little place was so awesome! My boyfriend and I stopped by just because it sounded interesting and I can't say that I regret it. The guy working there recommended the almond milk tea with strawberry jelly. It was amazing! Both my boyfriend and I tried it and neither of us are from around that area so we have been trying to find something similar ever since- but no dice! Looks like we will just have to come back :)

As bubble tea places go, it's nothing special by any means, but it's not like Metro Detroit has the most extensive bubble tea scene. The choices and flavors they have are pretty varied, but sometimes the tapioca pearls stick together and make it annoying towards the bottom of the drink. They also serve a number of crepes that can be a decent snack when you and a friend are hungry, but nothing I would ever go out of the way for. Until I see some other bubble tea places open up in Metro Detroit, I'll probably pop in here once and awhile.

I got a chocolate milk tea with blueberry bubbles, so good. I've had bubble tea in the past with tapioca and I really didn't like those, so this was a refreshing take on bona that has flavor and pops, you don't chew it. It's definitely what I prefer. Wish there was more places to sit, it's a really really small shop, but other than that, I definitely like it.

When you are at Laurel Park and looking for a quick lunch this is the place. Most people think of crepes as sweet deserts , but they have some excellent savory crepes. My favorite is the BLT with no tomato and extra bacon. It is absolutely delicious. The crepe it self is still a little sweet, but not sweet enough to overcome the taste of the bacon. Of course they also have many desert type crepes if that's what you need for lunch.

This is hands down the best bubble tea place in the metro Detroit area. You must try it if you haven't already.

Love Bubbleberry - Infused milk tea - blueberry (green tea base) with blueberry bubbles - it's TOO much fun and waaay too delicious. Crepes are yummy, too!

The bubble tea here fell short. I ordered a regular milk tea with boba--the most standard thing one can order. It came out so white in color I had to confirm there was actually tea in it. It tasted liked watered-down half & half. I just threw it out. My boyfriend also threw out his almond milk tea. The service was good and some of the other offerings would probably be perfectly tasty.

I love bubble tea, and was so glad to find a good place close to home ... well in driving distance. I travel to NYC a lot, and a coworker suggested bubble tea. In NYC, there are tons of places to get this. I lean toward Almond tea ... black tea, milk, almond flavoring, and black tapioca pearls ... on ice. Loved it. I looked on-line and found that Asian kids will suck up the pearls, and use the straw to become an instant peashooter. Cute. In any event, I was able to try bubbleberry. They had my regular bubble tea ... almond flavor as well. Yeah. It was dead-on perfect. Pearls were a little smaller than what I get in NYC, but the right chewiness/texture. I noticed that they offered frozen versions of the bubble tea. So, I had to try this as well. Being December, probably not the best choice, but I can easily drink these by the ton in the warmer months. I will get this again. The tapioca gets really cold, and slightly hardens. The guy at the counter was helpful, and actually offered a taste of the alternatives to the tapioca pearls since not everyone in the US like this. So, he let us try the fruit flavor pearls that pop in your mouth like a fruit gusher ... awesome. They also had the jellies in star shapes. Those were good, but I'm still partial to my tapioca. For me, the fruit flavors can sometimes be way too sweet. The Almond version is like drinking a cold almond steamer (warmed milk with almond flavoring). So, if you have a sweet tooth, then the fruit flavors are a must. Be careful when drinking, you should expect to pull up the pearls via the large straw. This place had a great selection of flavors, and I hope it catches on in this area. Yum! Well done, and it definitely fixed my craving.

I was really hoping to find a replacement boba place since the one in the Kumon center closed. But alas this place does not have real fruit boba nor uses froyo in their smoothies. On the plus side. Wonderful crepes. :) they really fill it with lots of ingredients. We had the strawberry bliss and tango mango. Yum! The owners are really nice. My kids loved the place. We'll come back for crepes but guess I'll have to stick to making my own boba teas at home. It is located inside the Laurel Park place mall. Next to Olga's. It is a small seating area of two tables. Its best to take it and go sit out in the food court and text in your free order of music videos. :)

I love bubble tea! I've known about this drink for several years now, but if you don't know what it is - here is my best explanation. A bubble tea is basically a Cold, tea based drink, with or without milk- and flavored with all kinds of yummy flavors such as apple and mango, and even taro and red bean. At the bottom of the drink are pearls, little beads of tapioca that create a fun and yummy addition to the drink. Bubble berry also has mango stars available. I particularly like mango flavors and the milk tea with taro flavor, this place has so many flavors tho, I may have to try a new one next time. These are super yummy fun and refreshing drinks :) I'm a supporter of local businesses and urge you to visit this little hip place in Laurel Park Place mall! Try something new, you won't regret it. :)

Drove out to bubbleberry since it was the only place close by without having to drive to Ann Arbor. Got the mango and strawberry smoothie versions, both tasted like artificial powder...it literally tasted like soap. Yuck. Worst bubble tea ever.

  • Alyssa D.

It was really cute inside but my bubble tea wasn't that good compared with others I've had... it might actually be the worst one I've had. I still liked it because I love all bubble teas but it was disappointing compared with other bubble tea. I got a large mango-flavored milk tea. The bubbles themselves were ok but kind of hard in the center and kind of falling apart on the outer surface. The tea was really not very good, it tasted like milk with a slight bit of gritty powder in it that was only vaguely sweet and vaguely flavorful. If i had to guess what flavor it was I wouldn't say mango. I agree with the person who said it reminded them of soap. Besides that, the girl who was working there was really nice! But I wouldn't be too excited to go back, at least not for the fruit-flavored milk tea.

Extensive menu and great selection of flavors for both bubble teas and crepes, easy to talk to the employees so you can get exactly what you want. Tastes just as good as bubble teas I've had elsewhere. I love this place and hope it sticks around! It's just a little bit on the pricey side, but hey, what isn't nowadays?

The crepes are a little weird and the teas not the best but its better than driving out to Ann Arbor.

I love Bubble teas, and the only place that I knew of that was specifically for the teas was in royal oak. I'm so glad that I found a place closer to home. The server was realy nice. I got my tea, and a frozen drink, and sat down to enjoy them. People came and went, and the server offered my samples of the drinks that the customers ordered. She also let me try the popping bubbles, because there were probably around 7 or 8 different kinds, and i am only used to a 2-3 selection.

Wow! Can't believe I can now get great crepes and bubble tea in Livonia! The crepes are made fresh and you can select the items you want in your crepe. I ordered a dessert crepe with nutella, strawberries, and mango ice cream that is wrapped and folded like a cone, which is great because you can eat it while you walk. It is soooo delicious. I also had a taro smoothie with mango stars, which is equally delicious. What's great about Bubbleberry is that the prices are relatively inexpensive because the crepes are large and can be shared. In addition to dessert crepes, savory crepes are also available. Bubble teas come in many flavors and you can add tapioca or mango stars to your drink. I no longer have to travel to Ann Arbor for bubble tea or San Francisco for Japanese crepes. See you next week Bubbleberry!
