Fast service, great food, cozy/homey place, nice atmosphere, and great prices. I ordered the Eggs Louie with a Cherry Coke. Eggs Louie was amazing! Flavorful, home style, delicious, and filling. One of the best breakfast dishes I've had. Cherry Coke was great, not watered down, full flavor and bite.

Their veggie pita was easily one of the most insulting meals I've had at a restaurant. Horribly uninventive, sloppy and not at all filling. It was basically stir fry vegetables on a pita. Predominantly mushrooms. Really? The fries were okay, but that's hard to mess up. Gross, dudes. Get it together.

Very friendly staff and awesome food. The Southern Scramble and the burrito are two of my favorites. One of the best places in Lansing to study and it's open 24 hours.

My experience at Theio's wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. The service was fine. The deep fried mushrooms were DELICIOUS! The omelet and hash browns were, of course, greasy. Also a bit flavorless. The veggie quesadilla was also OK. Not a must-do, far from the best diners I've experienced, but open late. TRY THE MUSHROOMS!

I really miss how this place used to be. Sure, it's always been a greasy spoon, but it used to be a greasy spoon with charm. Now it's really gross and the service is so poor. Not to mention: FLIES. EVERYWHERE. D:

Theio's is a good after bar breakfast spot (open 24 hours). Today was my first non-after bar (sober) Theio's breakfast experience. It was "OK". I had a standard eggs, ham, potatoes breakfast. The hashbrowns were not crispy and had a weird after taste. I have to say the raisin toast was awesome. It was really thick. I think they grilled it and soaked it in butter. I'm imagining their raisin french toast would be good. The service was friendly. Their decor is weird, 70s print fabric on the booths, and old construction signs on the wall which made my friend think Harrison road was really closed..... Overall I think I will stick to Theio's for late night.

The best greasy spoon. Large portions for good prices, the food is usually cooked competently but isn't winning any awards. The coffee is usually stellar, and the staff generally have a lot of love- during power outages I've spent more than one full morning soaking up power here. If they'd teach the staff to cook they'd really have something, but as is this is still one of my top places to grab a nice hearty breakfast before a big day.

The local greasy spoon, Theio's is a small diner off Michigan, near 127 in between Lansing and East Lansing, attracting characters of all shapes and smells. The place and parking is a little janky, but the food is solid and people keep to themselves, despite the relatively loud atmosphere. Come for the free Wi-Fi, stay for a good hangover cure.

The eggs in the omelette were undercooked and the vegetables just looked like they were added separately. The hash browns smelled a bit strange and the bread was soggy. Under the influence or not, I wouldn't recommend the food. The staff was attentive and prompt though but that doesn't do much if the food is completely unpalatable. My stomach still feels a bit off.

We ate here after a night of good music next door at Mac's Bar. It was about 2:00am or so and it was pretty busy. We had decent, fast service and I had really good fish and chips - flaky and tasty! I didn't notice any of the stuff the previous reviewers commented on - everything was quite fine.

I went here a few years ago for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I had always driven past it while going to and from downtown Lansing and figured I would give it a try. Having a coupon helped the decision even more. The place was dirty and sad looking. It took a long time for us to get our order. The breakfast food was decent. However, the orange juice was clearly past its expiration date. I complained about it and the waitress admitted that it was expired after checking the gallon jug it was poured from. I don't understand how a restaurant can have expired juice. It's not like they don't go through a lot of it. Clearly this place is poorly managed. If you want breakfast in the immediate area, head across Michigan Ave. and go to Sparty's Coney Island in Frandor. There is also a group of stray cats that lives behind the place. Definitely not something I like seeing before I walk into a restaurant.

After trying Theio's recently for breakfast while visiting Lansing I didn't understand what the hoopla was all about. For their prices, I would have been happier at a Denny's or a Big Boy. And definitely a Panera. I thought at first that i would experience Greek cuisine. I did order the Greek omelet. It was so-so. Nothing special with my son's sausage and gravy. The sausage was uncooked in the middle. My wife commented that she makes better french toast. Maybe our discriminating taste comes from being happy with our own cooking. But the fact that they are open 24/7 is probably an attraction for the college crowd. It serves its purpose. But I would say not for the discriminating diner.

You'd have to be nuts to give this place anything other than 3 stars. I could see 4 if you grew up on it, maybe. Here are the facts: They're open 24 hours They have decent coffee The prices are a tad high, but not terrible The service is average The food is your average diner breakfast/lunch/dinner-type stuff It's a greasy and dank diner. So it's not awesome in any way, but it serves its purpose perfectly, and that's sobering up night owls, feeding the morning crowd a greasy hearty breakfast, and providing a decent late-night study option.

Theio's was kind of gross. The eggs I ordered (an omelet) were runny, and the whole restaurant smelled like smoke, despite the separate seating sections. It was also kind of expensive . . . $12-ish for an omelet and diet coke that were really not worth it. I will probably never come back.

I live pretty near here and love this place for late night and hungover morning meals. Like in any good diner, the waitresses are really nice and quick to freshen up your coffee (which isn't high quality but I'm not too picky). They're chicken on pita with fries and coffee should solve any bad hangover. Nothing too special, but predictably solid, cheap food.

I've made one of the booths my home during quite a few finals weeks while pursuing my bachelor's degree from MSU. Thieo's has good service, nice people, good WiFi, and good study food. The servers get to know you if you are a regular and keep the good coffee comin as you study the night away! Biscuits & gravy are always a good choice here!

Theio's is open 24 hours. That means it's always there when you need it. This provides me some comfort. However, I'm not the type of person that needs Theio's often. When I do, the food provides me with exactly what I need. It's greasy and filled with flavor. It holds it's own against all other diner establishments. The food costs about what it should, and the service is always pretty good.

I am a diner lover...lover. I can never say no to 24 hour anything. Whether you want a meal or just a cup of coffee and a smoke...you are always welcome at Theios. They have the best eggs with fetta and their coffee is to die for. Try the texas toast too [with a little bit o' strawberry jam], never a let down. The waitresses are so great, they are always smiling, even though they have probably been there for hours on their feet. Any time of day, this is the place to eat.

This place is the best diner to go to at the end of the night with your friends or early morning before class. They have the best strawberry French toast I've tasted.

Theio's might not be for everyone but it was the spot for my husband and I when we went to MSU. Whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner time, we would always look to Theio's for mom-n-pop, diner style food. I can't say that I've had anything else here other than breakfast. On second thought, I've had the Philly Steak and Cheese sandwich and a hamburger. Both were good. The Philly was memorable. Anywho, as I said before, breakfast was eaten at all different hours of the day. A few of my faves: the Hungry Man's breakfast, Steak and Eggs, the Mexican Scramble or the Country Omelette. I never met a breakfast item that I didn't like at Theio's. The service is what you would expect at a diner. Not 5-star but definitely not rude in my experience. We always had a friendly staff member greet us and wait on us. Speaking of a wait, we did have to wait an absurd amount of time for our breakfast on one occasion. But of all the times we've been to Theio's, this was the only occasion in which we waited for so long that I thought I was going to get sick. Perhaps it was because I was hung over, perhaps it was our large party of eight, or perhaps it was that the whole restaurant was packed to the brim with customers and they only had so many cooks in the kitchen. Meh. Regardless of that one time, they were prompt with our orders every time. Coffee was always available and refilled when cups were low. Prices are low, their hours are 24/7, free Wi-Fi is available and the food is greasy in that oh-so-good way. I can't complain. I would continue to come back to Theio's if I still lived in Michigan. Mostly because I love breakfast and Theio's is diner style good!

It's funny coming back to places you frequented during college when there were zero expectations. I'd come here to cram for an exam or write papers when there wasn't a smoking ban. I chalked it up the atmosphere and identity of this place. Now that the smoke's cleared and post-college, it just feels like a grungy place with not attentive service. However, I'm still nostalgic about it in a way. And the breakfast is just dirt cheap. I come here for breakfast more often when I'm in the area, and the eggs, sausage, hash brown and toast hit the carby/greasy spot to start the day. The place just attracts a variety of people: senior citizens, students, families. The service is hit or miss, but you're in and out fast.

Cheap breakfast food and comfy diner atmosphere. Sometimes the service is spotty although nice. And a pot of good coffee is rare (they make it too weak or it tastes funky like something hasn't been washed). Sometimes dishware and tables are sticky. For some reason I still like frequenting this place...

I have mixed feelings about this place. I love the decor, and the mismatched plates and branded mugs. I went with a group of about 12 people. There wasn't a wait, but it took much longer than it should have to get our food. The waitress really was not friendly or nice, and I felt like she rushed us through ordering, and brought our checks halfway through our meal. The food itself was great. Exactly what I expected and wanted out of a place like that. Lots of options and everyone was satisfied with their meals. The one thing I could not get over (and still can't) was how terrible the coffee was. I would not consider myself a coffee expert by any means, and I do have semi-low expectations out of breakfast places, but this stuff was just awful. Super watery and flavorless.... Basically undrinkable. No amount of sugar or creamer could save it. Everyone at the table agreed.. All our cups went cold. Hopefully they'll fix that, I think decent coffee is in the criteria to be a great breakfast place.

So where do you go when every other place is closed or just drive thru? Well this is the place. It's probably busier at 2am than 2pm, and hey they have free wifi - they know their clientele. This is your classic 24x7 breakfast stop, it's a dive. Specializing in breakfast and sandwiches. Decent pancakes. The menu is fine, standard fair, priced for college students. They have a booth section and a table section. It's the cleanest place and typically there are 1 or 2 over worked waiters. So if it's daylight, there are probably better options, but after midnight, it works.

I may be a bit biased in that I feel most traditional american dinners serve bland food full of carbs and oil albeit at a good price. I found my hearty breakfast was as described, filling. Something rarely seen, i felt the eggs were undercooked. Sure i like my yolk flowy but the egg white shouldn't be clear! Really, doesn't raw egg white cause salmonella? This must be a personal thing but i did not appreciate the rude service. Some of my friends kind of liked this and saw it as being part of the place but then why was our server the only one like this? I'd be a fan if this was a "thing" at Theios but with only one person doing it I just see it as being crabby. In the future i'll be staying away.

One of our favorite places to eat anytime we are back. Breakfast skillet is the best thing around. Coffee is hot. Food is served fast and is always delicious. Normally there's not a long wait time to eat. It's perfect food for a hang-over cure!

Stopped in for a relaxed casual dinner last night. The food was good (I had the prime rib special with mashed potatoes & corn $7.99, friend had huge 1/2 lb burger with all the fixin's plus fries, $6.50 I think) - and huge servings. Topped off the dinner with sharing a strawberry cheesecake for dessert ($3.99), yum yum. The place was quiet when we were there, so enjoyed lengthy leisurely conversation. The service was great. The inside of the restaurant most welcoming, clean and shiny. We very much enjoyed our meals and will be back!

Oh, wow. You have to take Theio's at face value. It doesn't look like much, and you know what? It isn't. HOWEVER, it is open 24 hours and only a small hike from Stober's (yeah, I could have used the bus but what the hey). The sever seemed in good spirits, and the wait wasn't all that long. It was definitely the place to go at 2:00 to sober up a bit. As for the food, well it wasn't anything special.

I almost died here one night, and I was afraid that the cheeseburger I ate was going to be my last meal ever. I came here after bowling and drinking with a friend, his brother, and several of their friends. A fight broke out, and the waitress handled it very well. And I was able to live to tell about my cheeseburger. This is a great after bar place, and it's open 24 hours. I'm not sure I'd ever plan to go here, but if someone suggests it while at the bar, I'll probably be game.

I've wasted many a night in diners not unlike this one, but frankly, this one is one of the worst. Food is mediocre at best, everything you order is covered in a thick layer of grease & the restaurant itself is so rundown that I kept expecting to see a cockroach scuttle out of a crack in the wall & run across a table. The windows are stained with nicotine & the place still smells like the smoking ban never went into effect. I've eaten a few different times here in an attempt to give this place a fair try, but the food was never worth the price whatsoever & the waitstaff was consistently listless at best. No thanks - never again.

The staff here is always friendly and they never rush you out. Free wi-fi and 24-hour service is awesome. A lot of people like to get work done here. Take this place for what it is and you'll be happy. The food is pretty standard and priced right.

Theios is pretty much your run of the mill greasy spoon. The coffee is decent and endless. The staff is friendly. They're open 24/7. There's free wifi (though the equipment they have isn't set up to handle the amount of traffic they get so it often flakes out). Oh yeah... and the food is pretty good and cheap.

If you have ever gone to Mac's Bar, then you must know Theio's. Before, During, or After a show, Theio's will take care of that rumble in your tummy. I don't recommend getting the bacon there.. I am not sure what kind of bacon it is, but it kind of tastes like Chloraseptic (sore throat anesthetic). Not what I want from my bacon. All the boys are big fans of the spartan sandwich in its greasy goodness, I myself was always a fan of an eggs, sausage, and toast breakfast. Theois, it has been too long, and with a trip to macs tonight in store, I am pretty sure I will be saying hello.

As far as 24-hr breakfast places go, this is one of them. I'm not not a fan, I just can't think of anything outstanding to say about them at this moment. But I'd gladly go at the drop of a hat.

best after bar place to get food at! the service is good even thou the place is usually busy from 1a to 4am all weekend. Ive been here a number of times and everyone I go with always enjoys the food. If you're not much ofa nightowl, the morning staff is great too!

This is a gawd-awful joint if you actually came here to ingest. However, if you have a shit-yer-pants BCH 461 midterm tomorrow, Theio's is where you want to be for the cheap 'ffeine. The waitstaff really wants you to go to hell and resents that you are there for 8 consecutive hours without ordering food. Just remind your uppity lady friend that you feel her pain, and will tip accordingly, as you visualize getting spanked over the nasty 33 question multiple choice that will dictate your future. Bring all of your colored pencils, handouts, notes, study guides, and books to cover the tables so that you can avoid the mental and physical roach hallucinations around 05:30. Are they real?
