Love this place! My favorite is taking people who have never been here before. It is like my hidden gem! Love the dragon bread! The people and staff are fantastic and welcoming. It is clean and such an asset to the community!! A lady in line said I should never bring newbies here because they will hate me when they become hooked! If that isn't a recommendation I don't know what is! Can't wait to go back! Love the Michigan stuff too!!
dragon bread = amazing!
The Wescotts are super nice, friendly local folks. They have made a wonderful and warm neighborhood spot with good food and great bread. We've ordered sandwiches, picked up muffins and love their bread loaves. Extreme cinnamon swirl is not to be missed. Get a frequent buyer card and earn a free loaf. Mondays are double punch days. Give it a try if you happen by, it's worth it.

I've been wanting to come here for awhile but the place is always packed everytime we've stopped by. Finally we got a seat at the bar/counter. A veggie omelette and hashbrowns with rye, delicious. I was jealous of those that had a booth. A carafe of coffee was their prize, no waiting for the waitress to come by to fill your coffee cup. Our waitress was really friendly and chatty, great customer service. If you can find a table, it's a great little place to start off your Sunday morning,
Small town atmosphere with smaller town prices! Extensive Breakfast, lunch and Dinner menu, with ANY meal served ANY time. If it's not on the menu, they will create it for you. Lot's of regulars and the staff is soooo friendly. Really cozy and don't be afraid if there is a line. It moves quickly!!
Went to Baldwin cafe for the first time today, will not be the last! Staff was fantastic, food was fresh and delicious! My boyfriend and I are both in the restaurant business and were impressed with the prices, quality of the food and service.

Absolutely Fabulous!!! This is our third time eating at Valentino's. We love it!! Came with a party of five for Sunday dinner. Could not have been happier! Service was excellent and everyone was happy with their meals. Chicken Valentino, Chicken Parm, Lasagna, Filet were all delicious! You must save room for dessert and try the Three Milk cake! WOW!! Out of this world! We will be back again and again!
Very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was better than I was expecting. I can't believe that I've lived in Lake Orion for almost 10 years and this is the first time I've dined here. If you have been driving past this restaurant for years, do yourself a favor and stop in for dinner. You will not regret it! Service is extraordinary as well. The sauce ("gravy" to some East Coast Italians) is excellent. Try the meatballs: a good test of an Italian restaurant. They are great.
This is currently my favorite Italian restaurant. Laid back atmosphere, easy parking, good food and good prices. Their red sauce is awesome. Tomato crack, I tell you. Lamb chops are excellent as well. I've had several of their pasta dishes, and all have been good. Personally, I would pass on the Spiedini. It's ok, not awesome, and the small portion size doesn't justify the $10 price tag. I'd go for the cajun beef tips or mussels instead. Mondays and Tuedays you can get a ravioli dinner for $10, and Wednesdays is 1/2 off a bottle of wine. We've been there several times, and the service has run anywhere from ok to excellent.

This is a great local dairy joint. They offer a variety of soft serve options, from classic cones to flurries (cyclones) to sundaes. They also have around 8-10 varieties of hard ice cream if that's your thing. The service is incredibly fast as well, always a plus!
Great ice cream - simple and a wide variety! I had the single strawberry (my favorite) sugar cone. Definitely great prices. I'm visiting from California and I'm glad I made the decision to make a pit stop. Will be back if I'm ever in the area!
Surprised they didn't have this business listed. It's only the best place to get ice cream for miles. They are open half the year and it is great on a hot summer night. The only problem with this place is that it is next to a marsh and sometimes there are lots of misquitos...but don't dispair! Just go inside! :)

I stopped here on my way through Lake Orion. It just so happened to be next door to where I was getting my vehicle worked on. I'm sure glad I did!!! This was by far one of the best bagels/bagel sandwiches I've ever had!!! The staff was extremely helpful considering they have so much to choose from. I'll def being making a trip back! Thanks for a great lunch Mannie's Bagel!
This place is truly a hidden gem! You won't be disappointed. THE BEST BAGELS AROUND. Perfect place for any of you early birds out there.
I LOVE Mannie's bagels. In every town I travel to, I search high and low for a place just like Mannie's, but, surprisingly, they are quite difficult to find. They serve up a wide variety of homemade bagel's, along with an even more impressive variety of housemade cream cheeses. I've always wanted to try the sandwiches here, but have only had the pleasure of enjoying the bagels. I'll typically go with an everything bagel here and top it with "greek isle" cream cheese--awesome stuff, especially if you are a fan of olives. I've also tried the lox cream cheese a few times, which is equally awesome (although it usually results in my girlfriend shunning any physical contact for at least a few hours). If you are looking for a good bagel smothered with any of a wide variety of cream cheese, go to Mannie's, you will not be disappointed!

Although the yelp pictures look unappealing this is a great American breakfast place. Good pancakes, french toast, bacon, eggs, etc. Really friendly folks too. Glad I ignored the "turkey dinner" picture and stopped bye.
If you are looking for a quick bite with good service this is the place. It is a Coney Island restaurant. Nothing fancy. Standard menu with coneys, fries, breakfast, salads, fish and chips etc.. The kids love the Mickey Mouse pancakes and being able to get a lunchbox of cars to play with. I'm a fan of getting breakfast anytime. Eggs are easy, rye toast is good. They have an ice cream counter that always tempts the kids. Like I said nothing fancy but the service is always friendly.
Happened to go here when visiting my old roommate in the area. We had to wait a little bit for a seat to open on a Saturday morning but I soon figured out it was well worth the wait. I had the Eggs Benedict (special) and it was very good. I couldn't believe how low the prices were as well. Everything came out hot and there was plenty of food to go around. Will visit again if I'm back in the area.

New owners and the place is back on my map! Service was so much better and the grilled corn beef sandwich was really grilled! Not just warm bread. The owners seem pleasant and happy to see their customers. So happy to see it making a comeback.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the BEST breakfast in Lake Orion. Or maybe I should say it's the BEST corned beef hash in Lake Orion--because that's really all I've ordered from here. It's honestly the best corned beef hash I've ever had in my life--delicious bits of corned beef grilled with onions and potatoes and topped with 2 sunny-side up eggs--it's heaven on a plate!! The service is also GREAT as well! I've also heard they have great sandwiches and fish and chips, which I'd love to try....if I could ever NOT order the hash
Located in a strip mall near Kroger's on Lapeer, this place is a nice go-to little diner for breakfast. The people are always nice, the service is quick, and the food quality is always top notch. I have enjoyed several breakfast meals here and have never been disappointed. The best thing I can recommend, as others have done, is the corned beef hash. It is really flavorful and plentiful. The omelets are good sized and really tasty as well. I think it is a step up from all the other coney island type places that are dotted across Lake Orion.

Stopped here for lunch and other than the over the top decor, this place would make the cut in Arizona, Texas or New Mexico. This is real Tex-Mex. The lunch servings are smaller and affordable which is perfect. I live in the Southwest, and its not normal to see the painted chairs and "cheesy" decor at home, but it seems common here. I mention the decor because it it a good contrast with the food. The food looked unassuming and was delicious while the murals were overdone. I will be back with my sun glasses and an appetite. Five stars for what it is: A Mexican restaurant in a Detroit suburb.
Decided to try it out for a late lunch/early dinner. After reading the reviews I really wasn't sure what we'd get? Chips and salsa were normal but good. I actually enjoyed the salsa because it had enough but not too much spice or heat. It's mild by most standards but it was nice for my kids to be able enjoy it without screaming. I ordered the vegetable burrito. It was ok. Grilled vegetables wrapped and topped with sauce and cheese.... I think. The cheese seemed saucy as well not very thick. It was a bit on the spicy side for me. I like things milder. Beans and rice were good. My husband said the steak flautas were yummy but confirmed what my daughter said about the steak fajitas.... A little on the chewy side. Service was good. Cantina means bar and they have quite a few televisions with both American football and European (Soccer) Music reminded me of being in Mexico All in all a good visit
Bland chips. Bland salsa and not a good place to eat if you have seafood allergies. Shrimp is in about a third of every dish including "chicken" dishes. Won't be back again.

They sell bagels and I like bagels. Seriously I read some bad reviews for this place somewhere but I don't see how they deserve any. It's a Bagel shop, come early and buy your bagels, don't freak out because they run out of your favorite flavor. I thought the bagels were fresh and tasty, and they were legit Jewish style bagels not store bought bread in bagel shape like kroger sells.
First time visiting here. I ordered half dozen bagels and a bagel sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. The lady behind the counter wasn't very friendly. I watched as the eggs, bacon, and cheese were microwaved, then placed on the bagel and then microwaved again. They weren't made fresh which would have made this a fantastic hole in the wall. The bagels were tasty and fresh though. I would have liked a fresh homemade cream cheese instead of store bought Kraft. Good selection of bagels to choose from, but they do need better customer service. I went at 9 am on a Sunday morning and some of the flavors of bagels had already sold out.
I give 5 stars as they are a bagel shop and they make a fantastic bagel so 5 stars to the bagel! If you get there early enough they have a huge selection of bagels. They are always soft and fresh. The bagels are good size and in my mind do not need cream cheese. I assume that's why they have store bought and not homemade. So go for the bagels but again go early as they go fast.

This was a nice late lunch. The staff was warm and friendly. Chatty and kind to my kids who wanted to sit at the bar. I've heard the remodel was amazing compared to what the place used to be. It was some "wet goods" and fish Friday kinda joint that apparently had a special smell to it! Anyway, it's cleaned up real good into a little neighborhood sporty sports bar with lots of tvs running all the current sporting events. I ordered the veggie burger, of course, and it was the typical Boca patty with the normal fixings, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The waffle fries were a nice bonus and fun to get the kids to try for the first time. The hubs said his burger was delicious and that he'd be happy to go back again. My son was over the moon to order a root beer at the bar and drink it out of the bottle so the kid is sold on the place forever now. Besides that though it's not super kid friendly. No kids menu was offered, no crayons or video games. If you bring smaller people to may want to bring along something to keep them busy. It is a completely non smoking which makes it clean and fresh to walk into. I imagine you may get the scent of food every once in a while. The bar looked nice. We aren't huge drinkers so it looked like enough variety to tame the average thirst. I order the Blakes hard cider which was tasty and not too sweet. They didn't have any other cider choice but many beers to choose from. I'd like to try a salad next time and see how they do with that. All in all a good experience.
If it weren't for the service, this place would have gotten 5-stars. BEST burgers, ok service. Definitely worth trying, though!
Great burgers. Kid friendly. Very friendly staff. Try the Island burger. A full half pounder, swimming in coney sauce. Knife and fork required.
