Well a Burger in a Pub is standard fare usually but a burger at O'Duffy's with Kobe meat is phenomenal. Tried as a Mushroom with Swiss, I can't remember a better burger served on an small bun which seemed better than most. The burger was perfectly cooked medium and the side of mashed potatoes was probably more calories than I could handle. Served with carrot sticks I felt the side was needed but whoa it definitely was not at all. The apple crisp for my companion was only so so but she felt it should've had vanilla ice cream (biased opinion). I saw it as huge and quite uniquely put together with pomegranate seeds and perfectly spiced. Service was OK but she was more worried her sidework than us. Try the Guinness beer poured perfectly.

Probably the best watering hole downtown. A little pricey and it gets real busy inside, but the interior atmosphere makes up for it. The bar is gorgeous. Go here if you want real beer choices on tap and not budlight...

Bring lots of friends and your wallet. Service will lack unless you spend lots of $$$. I've been largely ignored every single time I've been now, while the waitstaff was more interested in their larger, and apparently more wealthy tables instead of my measly two-top. I like the way it looks inside. Dark, and bustling with conversation. No music, which it could use if only to motivate the waitstaff a bit. If you don't mind waiting an hour for a second round of drinks, then this is your place!

I love O'Duffys. The atmosphere is unbeatble for a late night drink. If you have a special someone take them here before or after dinner. They have a nice selection of Irish beers and are the best pourer's of Guinness in town. Try whatever beer they have on cask if you go. Also the Raspberry Lambic is a brew that all the ladies enjoy. I'm a sucker for architecture so this place gets bonus points from me. It's located smack dab in the middle of the Vine Neighborhood in Kalamazoo, in a 110 year old building. Love this place.

It's a fav hangout. Great for a late night glass of guinness or an ale on cask. Great food, excellent bar service. Also make very good martini's: Ask for Larissa's Wicked Witch! It's a gin based cocktail with some Italian liqueur, I forget which, but its really something else! and yum.

I really think I would love this place if not for the waitstaff. Having recently moved from Chicago for grad school, I was so happy to find a cute neighborhood pub with a decent selection of beer and what seemed to be a good crowd. I've come here 3 times now---each time more disappointed than the first by the female waitress who ignores tables and rolls her eyes when you ask for a drink. It really should not take a half hour for a waitress to recognize a table.

Great Kalamazoo's little traditional Irish pub. We always call this Cosmo's but I guess I was wrong there is a name O'duffy's, so I am writing for its own review! I love O'duffy for a cozy neighbor ambiance pub with great decor. Summer time outside seating on old KAZ neighbor street is like at home porch. Good beer selections, I wish they serve Bell's fresh brew on tap. Food is bit missing something, to eat go up stairs Cosmo's or Martini's next door, good service. 5 stars for ambiance.

I loved this place when I lived in the Vine neighborhood, even though I could barely afford it. The inside is beautiful. Sitting outside during the warmer months is amazing. I loved that they had lambic on tap and made a killer margarita (pretty reasonably priced, too). Definitely worth a try.

While I was a drunk undergrad at WMU I lived down the street from Cosmos/O' Duffys and occasionally hung around there. I remember a bar without a TV and very pricey drinks for Kalamazoo. I recently returned to the Zoo to find that not much has changed except the Vine Neighborhood(student ghetto) is quickly slipping into a full fledged ghetto. I think the lowered enrollment and huge number of new apartments on the west side of campus has forced the Vine Neighborhood slumlords to rent to poor hood rats instead of poor college kids. I am sure it is only a matter of time before Stryker Corp leaves town and the only thing K-Zoo has will be WMU and the Vine Neighborhood will turn into a slum like the north and east sides of Kzoo.

Great atmosphere and craic, love when they have live Irish music. Good beer selection.

Had a great meal of chicken pot pie with an unbelievably flaky, melt-in-your-mouth crust. My friend had the tequila pulled pork tacos, which she very much enjoyed. Great waitress, attentive and very customer-oriented. Accidentally ate at O'Duffy's due to lack of signage/direction to Cosmo's during our first visit, which happened to be an hour before closing. But we'll be back!

Friendly staff. I sat at the bar and the bartender gave me really good recommendations. I tried the gorgonzola burger and its was tasty. I would recommend it. Cocktails are good and one of a kind.

Great local joint in the vine street neighborhood. The breakfast place upstairs is one of the best around. Make sure to ask for the price of "market price" though. Didn't ask and ended up with some very expensive fish tacos. I don't remember the price now but I recall being shocked they didn't say anything. I think it's was over 15 or 20 dollars and not all the much food. Besides that, great place. Love to stand on the porch on the summer.

I met a friend here for a quick dinner last night. This is a little pub off the beaten path near downtown Kalamazoo. I often forget that it is hiding out in the Vine Neighborhood over there. This is such a cool old building. Take a look around at all the craftsmanship. A table tent listed a few food items but we were also offered menus from Cosmo's upstairs. My friend and I both had the Chicago Dog and we both enjoyed them. I also tried the Vegetable Beef soup. It was full of vegetables and had a nice smoky flavor. Even though the place was pretty empty while we were there we had some difficulties getting our waiter's attention.

I and anyone who has been here will tell you: this is a Kalamazoo must-see. Jamie's bar is one of the finest in the world (I've had pints in a dozen countries) and his food is absolutely top notch. Five-Star experience, Two-Star prices.

The atmosphere is stellar. Unfortunately the female bartender we had was less than personable. If this is the case with all bartenders there, it's not someplace you want to saddle up to the bar at. Battitude for sure.

Super nice people who understand quality and take pride in what they serve. The casual neighborhood vibe feels welcoming and cozy. Solidly delicious menu and really interesting specials. Great beer on tap and the only authentic Guinness pour around. My favorite in Kzoo.

Great pint at a great neighborhood pub. Excellent food upstairs.

I am still giving this place 4 stars even though my dining experience upstairs was not good. It was one of those meals that your and the person sitting with you look at each other and shrug after your first bite to eat. I had the scallop preparation which was supposed to be Thai curry but lacked salt, heat, and the richness of coconut milk. Extremely bland. Downstairs is much different. Laid back. Decent beer selection, unbelievable cocktails by people that know what they are doing, said to have a killer bloody Mary, but what got me was the burger. I had a mushroom Swiss. It came in a basket, was wrapped in paper (which steamed the bun ever so nicely), and was incredibly moist and delicious. My favorite burger in Kalamazoo.

It's one of my favorite spots in Kazoo. Excellent food and good Bloody Mary; I like the Chicago Style hot dog for an inexpensive treat.

Fantastic spot. Pretty much defines the local watering hole. The place is beautiful, it had good beers and I've heard the food is amazing. They tons of games and the waitresses are great and know how to pour the perfect guiness with decoration and all. Go check it out you won't be disappointed.

Definitely a different atmosphere than most bars near downtown. Not a lot of beer selection but the ones they have are high quality. Probably the most authentic "irish" place in town. They pour the Guinness expertly. The pub grub is excellent, but everything here is a little expensive. Come here early in the night when you want to enjoy a few nice beers and a burger and a nice atmosphere. It's not for partying all night really.

Once again, O'Duffys was a stop on an annual Pub crawl. Great atmosphere here! Do miss the former mascot dog that hung around though. Also, the only place around Kzoo that you will find a truly proper Guiness pour! Definitely worth a stop for a pint!!

So, this full bar has good beverage choices. The first time I went here I got the Ginger Sangria that had been made that day, this was delicious. The second time I went here I ordered an extra dirty martini which was also delicious. I gave this bar a low rating because the bartenders, both times I have gone now, have been not so friendly. Literally as soon as my roommate and I sat down at the bar, the bartenders gave us rude looks and treated us as if we were not of proper class to be at this bar. I live a block from this bar and would like to enjoy it often but the first time we went the bartender was so disrespectful we didn't go back for over a month. We decided to give it a second chance and what do you know, the second bartender we experienced was just as judge mental and disrespectful as the first. It's unfortunate to say, because I live so close, but I don't know if I will ever go to this bar again.

Went back last week because my boyfriend was craving their spinach and feta burger (which is weird because he's a major carnivore) The burger usually comes with some fruit on the side but being the guy he is, he asked to add a side of fries instead. The bartender politely said he couldn't. I thought she must have misunderstood his question so I reworded his request which she once again responded no to. She then explained that fries only come with their Kobe beef burger and ONLY their Kobe beef burger because their fryer was too small to accommodate anything more. While I kind of understand their reasoning, most places I know that have the same issue will offer chips instead of fries, or maybe even pasta salad, but rarely are you not given any options. I just don't know how an establishment can deny a customer that is willing to pay extra for some fries with their burger. Since my boyfriend didn't really want to make a big fuss about it (but I did) he settled for the fruit and we left probably never to return.
