I'm only giving 1 star because I had to. Though the pizza looked good at the other persons table, I can't vouch that it was. I had the"goop." omg what were they thinking!? The fresh vegetables" were such a disappointment. They were merely green peppers, olives, mushrooms, pepper rings, and tomatoes. Those are just pizza toppings. How are olives and pepper rings fresh? They come from jars and cans. The flavor was a totally bland and over powered by the olives and the texture was mush. I tried to choke this dish down, but couldn't get past two bites. In which the waitress never gave a concern that I barely touched my meal. I also got their bacon corn chowder that was anything but a chowder. Mimd you, this place is a boggled mess of confusion. The menus looked as if they were used as napkins. I gladly accepted the fate my colon was going to endure from the almighty Fast food place that I have to eat in place of what I could've endured if I had the stomach to venture the rest of the journey this meal would have taken me. It wasn't Italy, Mexico, or American version of either or.... I'm just glad it's not the ER.

I love this little place. It has so much character to it. I've been here a few times. I love the chicken quesadilla and they have amazing Long Islands :) they are massive. It's worth checking out. Just make sure you have cash or check on hand.

This is going to be the worst review I've ever given a restaurant but I was so shocked at how horrible it was! We stopped by on a Saturday night and it was not too busy, only 6 tables including us. We walked in and stood for a few minutes because there was no sign telling us if we should seat ourselves or wait. Another guest had to tell us to just find a spot. The menu's are self made, tri-fold menus. I normally wouldn't care too much but they were filthy!! Fingerprints, chunks of food and what I am guessing was spaghetti or pizza sauce. Seriously, print some new ones or laminate them!!! We were pretty bummed at the limited choices. One burger, a couple sandwiches, three pasta choices, and pizza. We ordered the "goop" which is supposedly imported spaghetti with fresh vegetables. We also ordered the bacon corn chowder soup as an appetizer. Soup was served in a small cauldron and a beat up cake pan! Very strange! The soup was awful! It was watery and flavorless and I might have had one corn kernel in my entire pot. The Goop was awful! There was very little spaghetti and the FRESH veggies were tomatoes, onion, green peppers, paper thin mushrooms; which is all good BUT black olives and banana peppers??? Not what I consider fresh. The banana peppers were so overpowering, you couldn't even taste anything else! My fiancé wouldn't even eat his!!! The only good thing was the feta cheese crumbles! When the waitress finally came back we told her that he didn't like it and didn't know there were black olives in it or he wouldn't have ordered it. Her response: yeah, we don't list the vegetables do we." No offer to make some without the black olives or not charge him for his meal. So we ended up paying $47 for an ice tea, a root beer( that you can buy at Rural King for $1.25 but were charged $3.00) 3 pieces of over cooked shrimp, two cauldrons of watery soup and 1 half eaten bowel of GOOP. Oh yeah, they were lucky we had been warned of the no credit card policy which is beyond scary in this day and age. My suggestion: pick a theme, are you Italian? Are you a pizza place? Are you a roadhouse? Are you Mexican? Invest in Square or PayPal and an iPad. Accept credit cards. Clean the menus. Understand that FRESH VEGETABLES DONT COME FROM A CAN OR JAR!

It's just a few miles from our house, but we've only eaten here a few times, tonight being one of them. The experience was somewhat frustrating initially because we'd forgotten that even though it's 2015, they don't take credit cards. More on that later. After a quick trip down the road to the ATM, we returned for a decent diner of burgers and their wonderful fries. I ordered my burger medium and it arrived medium rare, closer to rare. I didn't want to wait for a new burger so I ate half but had to have the second half recooked. Not a big deal. The service was great, the atmosphere quiet (we were the only ones there for most of our visit) and the food was very good despite the undercooked burger. My only complaint aside from not taking cards is that their menu is very limited. A few subs, a burger, pizza and three pasta dishes basically comprise the menu. More "dinner" fare would make the selection more appealing. They did have a delicious sounding steak and shrimp special that my wife and I both wanted- but because I grabbed a quick $40, we didn't have enough cash for the specials, and heading back to the ATM wasn't going to happen. So we had burgers. I get that some businesses don't like the overhead of taking cards, but I don't understand how they expect to survive as a cash-only establishment. Especially when there's no noticeable warning that they don't take cards until you're sat down. They are basically sending their potential customers out the door hoping they'll come back with money and not eat at the restaurants that can be seen (and smelled) from the nearest ATM. Not the smartest move considering we were the only car in their parking lot when the other restaurant's lots were nearly full. Even though we did come back with money, we ate 2 burgers, drinks and an appetizer which came to $27. Had they taken cards, we'd have both gotten the $19 special, drinks and an appetizer which would have increased our bill nearly 90% ($50+), more than covering the 2%-3% cut the card company takes. My prediction is that if they continue to only take cash, they will continue to have an empty lot when others enjoy full ones. Sorry for the long winded explanation- just had to vent about the cash-only issue because it's one of my biggest pet peeves.

What a cute little place! My girlfriends and I were there on a Thursday so it wasn't very busy, but I can imagine it is crowded on the weekends. It is an actual house where most seating is downstairs. I believe the upstairs is set up mainly for private parties. We got a deep dish pepperoni and ham pizza and it was soooo good! Not really like your Chicago Deep Dish, but more of just an extra thick crust. But it was still amazing. I love how it is decorated and it has a beautiful stairway. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely be a repeat offender :)

This is my favorite place to stop and eat on the way to Chicago and back. The staff are very friendly, and the pizza is absolutely delicious!

This was the best Italian food I have ever had in my entire life. The setting is great too, a really old but nice house. The pizza was so good I couldn't even describe it. The sauce was so much better than any other I have ever had. I would go back all the way to Michigan just to go here. That good.
