Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Ehh. Decent place, but the food is marginal. You'd think that a restaurant the does 90% burgers would have awesome burgers, BUT the patties were about as good as a McD's Angus' ... steamed, grey, grainy. The regular fries were okay, but the sweet-potato chips were crisp, which made them lose much of their flavor. Fries are extra boosting the price a bit. For the best burger, head a little south to DQ for a fresh & juicy mouthful. For better sweet potato fries, head even farther to Googs.

Service?...eh. Burger?.... eh. Clean table?... After we asked twice to have it wiped down it was ok. We should have went to Red Robin next door. I think it's not the worst place we've ever eaten but no need to try it again.

Thought we'd give it a try even though there are never many cars in the lot. (that should have been a clue). First, it is way overpriced. $5.50 for a serving of fries, which for that price should be a heaping amount of fries. It's not. I ordered my burger cooked medium - it was well done to say the least. I ordered the smoked gouda cheese (an extra .75) on it and you could barely even see it there was such a tiny bit. Also, I ordered mayonnaise on it and had to ask for extra, as once again, you couldn't even tell it was on the bun. Luckily they didn't charge extra for that mayo since it seems they charge extra for everything.... well, lesson learned. Look at the parking lot...

We were seated immediately and then no one ever came to take any type of order from us. There were probably 6 other tables seated in the place. We just walked out and no one even asked why we were leaving or tried to get us to stay. Too bad I was looking forward to trying it for the first time.

There are so many mixed reviews on this place that I really didn't know what to expect going in. I arrived at 11:30 on a weekday and honestly thought the place was closed for lunch. I was surprised that there was only one other customer in the restaurant with me. Drink: craft rootbeer I drink A LOT of different kinds of craft rootbeers, and this one was not one to write home to mom about. BORING! They might as well carry Mug. Buffalo turkey burger: Meh. It was ok, but for a burger place both the burger I had and the menu seem to be sorely lacking. When I drop $10 for a burger I feel it should be a better quality than what I get at mcdonalds. The fries were probably the redeeming part of my meal. They were great, especially with the homemade ranch. If you're looking for a great burger joint, sadly this is not it.

Still bad. Way overpriced. $3.25 extra for fries with a $9 burger? Service also something to be desired, seems like new staff. No wonder it's dead on a Friday night.

I'm not sure why this place gets such low reviews and is always dead. Food is good. Service is decent. The fries and chips are above average and have yummy special dipping sauces. They serve all kinds of michigan made beverages. Even their pops are made in michigan. I've also tried a shake, and that was really good too. Give it a try!

Have been waiting for this to open since the summer. Very disappointed. Food was average, service was poor, and the price was very high. My bill was wrong (overcharged, then fixed, and still overcharged), and the server was not knowledgeable at all on the food, billing or serving in general. Kids liked the train and the train stickers. The atmosphere was fun. Very long wait, and they brought out Chili samples while we all waited. That was very nice.

First trip there this past week. Very disappointed. Californian BLT was sparse on filling and bread very greasy. Overpriced on sandwich and fries.

Food is fairly reasonable, not a real wow factor but not horrible either. Busy service is a touch on the slow side but overall friendly wait staff and manager. French fries were pretty good if my picky toddler will eat them so kudos there.

Food here (mostly frozen) is not great. Think of a cross between Applebee's and TGIF with the quality of McDonald's. The servers try to do their best, so we usually give decent tips. Overall the lack of management causes major delays. If you're looking for a good burger save money and go downtown Holland.

Called ahead 30 minutes away to get take out order. Left take out order as Aaron T. I get there and they have given my order to someone else, but that was after 5 minutes of panic when they figured that out. Since I called ahead on purpose (we had a tight timeline), they had to remake everything. We were at the end of the queue. I asked if there was anyway to mark it urgent and so they did. Not sure if it made any difference. The food was decent but just received a simple 'Sorry' without any explanation. Some places give you a discount or a coupon or something if they've goofed this much. It was a good 20 minute wait. :( I wasn't expecting any special service but if it is a slow night, don't give away the only other take-out order to the wrong person.

I was looking for a really good burger. I still am. I ordered the double because she said the burgers were 3 oz. well, they are bigger than that. But bigger is not better. The patties were gray, pretty flavorless but filled with gristle...not a great combination. There is a ton of stuff to put on the burger, and I can see why. I want to taste the meat not the sauce(s) and this one was definitely lacking. The fries looked good but were pretty soggy and again, not much in the flavor department. Service was good! But I will probably not be back...and I can't recommend it to you, either.

I was really looking forward to trying this new burger joint in Holland and was so unimpressed. The atmosphere had a lot of promise, the building is nice as is the inside of the place. But, the food was horrible. I went with 2 others and all three of us hated our burgers. Flat, soggy, greasy bun and no flavor. I actually felt sick for almost 2 days after eating there. It is nice that they have Michigan craft beer selections, but the food is horrible. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

First time at a Bagger Dave's. Four of us went about 3:30 weekday afternoon. No other customers. Had to wait at door as no employee in sight. We took a seat at front door seating area. Finally someone appeared. Sat us and tossed menus and wrapped silverware onto table and said would be back. Waited and she finally showed. Explained first time yet didn't get much of explanation of items etc. husband asked for burger medium. They wouldn't do it. Med well or well only option. Had 2 seniors with us and they ordered regular burger thinking small was children's. Wrong - regular means 2 patties and regular is one patty. Also they both ordered fries and would have been nice had she explained 1 order would be HUGE. They ended up wasting a lot of food as too much. I have to eat gluten free. Their menu is GF except for most beers and buns. When waitress brought order gave me mine and then stretches across my plate of food of course in front of me to place burger in front of hubby. How about walking to that side of table. After meal she said if she out wrong items on checks tell her because she was confused as to who ordered what. Really? Might try again due to extensive GF menu but once more and if same wont go back. Service very lacking!

Went there last night with my wife and grandkids hoping for a new place to go. The restaurant looks neat coming in so my hopes were up. They went down when we were seated and the music was so loud you had to shout to talk. They have a good selection of Michigan beers and the soda's are thier own. The soda's were really good but I probably made a bad choice for my beer so that is not the stores fault. The burgers we ordered were good as I had the Blue cheese burger and my wife and daughter had turkey burgers they liked. The sweet potato chips were soggy and limp and the fries were at best average. The staff is friendly but I did not appreciate the waitress leaning over me and shouting in my ear while she was telling us about the restaruant. There are better burgers next door at the Red Robin of a 5 Guys if you can find one. I will probably go back once to try the turkey burgers, but this will definately not be a place I will frequent.

I really want to give 2.5, but that is not an option. Your only choice for a burger is medium-well, a real bummer. The burger looked appealing, and the taste was OK. The fries came out cold and had to be remade.m quality was just not there. The truth is, most restaurants can make an OK burger. If you market yourself as a burger joint, it should be better.

meh....that's how I felt about the whole experience. The menu had very few choices, the atmosphere was decent, but the burger was tasteless and grey.i thought maybe it was a turkey burger , but no:/I won't be going back there are too many better places to choose from. They really need to revamp their menu!
