I'm glad I didn't let some of the negative reviews deter me from this location. The last time I went to Olive Garden I don't remember there being a tablet to order drinks and appetizers with, and although I didn't need it because our waitress was very attentive I did enjoy the ability to play games on it for $1.99 - really made the wait time for our food seem like nothing. I just wish the waitress would bring more than four breadsticks at a time so I wouldn't have to keep asking for more, because let's be honest, the main reason I went this afternoon was the breadsticks.

Great location and great service. The best thing about the location is that it's not to far from downtown Grand Rapids. So you can do dinner and then drive over to Grand Rapids for drinks.

After sending my plate back twice, they still could not get it right. If this was the first time it would be some what passable, but this has been the 3rd time it has happened. The chef re-fires the same meat he/she just screwed up, and expects to get it right. Not only is this a blatant disregard for the food and patrons they serve, but it seams Like this chef is going through the motions. He/she has given up. I expected more out of them.

I really USED to like Olive Garden. This location has several problems that just aren't getting any better. At the door: Greeted promptly and taken to a two seat booth right next to the kitchen even though at least 15 other tables were open away from the kitchen entrance. Out waiter: Made no suggestions for the menu and was not helpful when asked for GF options. He simply offered a GF sheet with dinner options (at lunchtime) and no prices. I ordered my traditional soup, salad, and breadsticks. My salad had two olives, one piece of tomato and had no croutons. When the waiter dropped off my salad he spilled the salad dressing on the table and did not offer to clean it off the table. When grinding cheese, he spread more on the table than on my plate. This guy just couldn't get it right. When my wife's entree arrived the broccoli was brown and old. Since my waiter didn't stop to check back on us I asked another waitress to send the manager over. He offered to redo the broccoli and he quickly had us back on track. Overall: The food is no surprise. The soup and salad are usually good but when Olive Garden can't even make a decent salad I just think you need to get everything else including service right. Unfortunately this location misses the mark. Meh. I have had better and will not come back to this location.

One portion was small for the price, the other was better. Food was very good otherwise. Dessert was awesome , but pricey. Service was ok.

I used to be a huge fan of Olive garden, but I have to say, the quality of food here has somewhat suffered. That is not to say the food was bad, but sauces were salty, which had me getting full off of waters. The staff was attentive and cordial which is always a plus. Though Olive garden isn't my first pick, I have to say that I wouldn't mind coming back either. The portions are generous, and the prices are decent.

Since living in this area, Olive Garden has been one of our go to places for lunch or dinner. We have never had bad service at this location and the food is always good. This location is often quite busy because of it's location though. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes thankfully. I highly suggest signing up for their emails because they often send coupons for free appetizers, deserts and other discounts.

We love the Olive Garden - it's just too bad that it's so expensive. Normally we get great service but the last time we were there we didn't. We got ignored. The waitress seemed to regard us as an inconvenience. She didn't want to take the time with us. When she dropped off our bill it was done quickly as she zipped by to another table. The food was great - as always. I usually get the Tour of Italy and end up with enough to take for lunch the next day.

Went here because we got a gift certificate at work. Good luck trying to feed two people on 25$ here. We tried two different menu items (shrimp and steak) and they both had bad outcomes for us later that night. As soon as we arrived home we had to race to the bathroom. I didn't even make it home I had to use the OG facilities. No wonder so many people were getting take out. They probably ate it on the toilet. Our waiter was really nice but we couldn't hear him over the rocking AC unit it was pretty cold in there and we watched several couples move who were placed directly under it. I will never return to any olive garden by my own free will. I'm pretty sure some of the orges eating in there were related to garfield the way they were shoveling pasta down their throats.

Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory are two of my favs! This Olive Garden is a great place with great food. It is pretty loud in there when it gets busy. Otherwise a good choice if u are in the grandville area. Most wait times are in the 25-45 minute range.

I love Olive Garden as a brand. The food is usually pretty good. There is great variety in the menu. Service is generally good. However, this particular location can get jam-packed very often. The last time I went there, there was nearly a two hour wait for a table.

This is one of my favorites! They have a wide selection of pastas, pizzas, soups, salads, and desserts. I always get the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and I never get sick of it. Try their dipping their breadsticks in ranch dressing. Yum! olivegarden.com

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
