S-L-O-W Not sure how anything tastes, but the service stinks. Not a happy place, which makes no sense, 'cause cupcakes! I'm sure there are better places to go. Me and about 7 other people left due to lack of service. And it was lunchtime on a weekday, most people are on a strict time limit for that.

IMO, the most important component of a cupcake is moistness. And let me tell ya, they have the moistest, non-greasy cupcakes I've had ..... EVER!! Another important thing to note is that the cake is not overtly sweet, which balances really well with the sweetness of the frostings. Lots of standard options but my fav by far is the Peanut Butter Bacon cupcake. They put bacon in the cake AND it topped the perfectly whipped peanut butter frosting. Gluttony at its finest!

I try a lot of cupcakes (I love cupcakes!), so here is my review for Cupcakes by Design.... Presentation: They look really good Taste: I have tried a dozen of their cupcakes hoping to change my mind but it has not. They are really dense (heavy, thick) not light and moist like the crumb of a cupcake should be. The frosting to cake ratio is off, way too much frosting. But in all honesty it was the cake that set me off, it is just not a good taste, heaviest cupcake I have ever tasted. I hated them (all of them). Verdict: I will not be returning for their cupcakes, BUT they do have decent cookies!

Cupcake by design has fine cupcakes. It is located next to Five Guys near Ramblewood Apartments. They have bad customer service and an arrogant sense about them. THey offer punch cards (not if you buy multi packs- only single cakes) for buy 10 get one free. THey also have other treats besides cupcakes like chocolates and brownie looking things. I generally do not support places with bad service so if it is a convenience thing while going to Five Guys or Chipotle then come here, but other wise support a nice business. It is small and pink and located right off the road- it is small and easy to miss.

I will not support a local company that has horrible arrogant customer service. I asked one question and she had a snobby attitude. When I got home we had our cupcakes, and mine was dry, my fiancé was not, but very dense. Too much frosting, not much flavor. Not worth the money at all, honestly you're better off going to SAMs club or meijer!!! Dissatisfied and will not recommend going here. You will be disappointed

Moist cupcakes, good frosting, a bit pricey. Their red velvet with cream cheese frosting is the best I've had at any establishment (I'm friends with a pastry chef, and hers still come out a tad bit ahead - have to put that in here!) and the double chocolate cupcake was super moist, decadent and rich. I have noticed if they only have one left of a certain variety, it often means that they haven't made those in awhile and they tend to be a touch dry. Service is generally fine, I have noticed it being either particularly bad or good.

We have used Cookies by Design on multiple occasions to send gifts to clients and associates. The staff always makes the process simple and the gifts have always been incredibly well received. I highly recommend Cookies by Design - they are an amazing source for meaningful and impactful corporate gifts . . . not to mention their cookies and cupcakes taste amazing too!

I submitted an order admittedly late on Tuesday for next day delivery on Wednesday, I paid the premium for the next day delivery. I received my order confirmation on Tuesday night and a delivery confirmation on Wednesday at 6am. Then at 8:30am I got I call saying they in fact could not be delivered until Thursday. I was so disappointed. It was a last minute scramble on Tuesday to find a place that would deliver, so when I found cookies by design through a google search for "Same Day Delivery", placed the order and got a confirmation email, I breathed a sigh of relief. Only THEN did I find out that sigh was premature and in fact there would be no cookies for my dad's birthday. So bummed and disappointed. I ended up doing a same day edible arrangement, which are delicious, but definitely not cookies. I owe my dad an apology for honoring his 64th year with chocolate covered fruit and not the cookies he deserves.

Presentation: It looks really good but sets you up for a major disappointment when you try it. Taste: I've only had the red velvet cupcake and it was hard and dry (looks like it was out for more than a day). The frosting to cake ratio is off, with having more portion of cream than I enjoy. The cream cheese frosting leaves a hint of bitter aftertaste which adds fuel to the already disaster of a cupcake it already is. The only saving grace is the presentation. Verdict: I have not tried their other cupcakes yet but from this one experience I've had, it painted a picture of a place that leaves the stuff out for days if left unsold.

Cupcakes by Design has a great variety of all things sweet. Their Cookies n' Cream Cupcake was delicious as is the Grandville Bulldog. Totally recommend!

I placed an order for delivery in a hospital and the order was never delivered. When I called to inquire (2 days later when I realized the recipient never got it), they said they didn't know what happened. They had the print-out of the order, but apparently just never processed it. Once they agreed to process a refund, I had to wait 2+ weeks (actually still waiting, but was told it is being processed) for it to hit my credit card. They offered me a measly 10% discount on a future order and a very faint, insincere apology. Had it not been for 2(!) big mistakes (not processing the order and not notifying me AND delay in credit card refund), I may consider placing another order with them. But no, I will definitely NOT be placing another order with them.
