Most retirees end up some place nice and warm, giving their kids a fun and exciting place to visit..... my parents moved up north instead..... We frequent the GT for their delicious fish fry fridays and rib Saturdays. The food is always good. Beer is always cold and the service is decent. They also have great paninis!

We've been coming to Glennie for decades; There really are limited places to eat out if you don't feel like driving for a half hour. I must start by saying that there are only two ways to get decent food at the Glennie Tavern. One by going on Friday and getting the fish dinner and salad bar. Two is by ordering a pizza to go. After reading in the local news paper about their Saturday specials (Prime Rib or BBQ ribs), we decided to splurge and get prime rib. Upon our arrival there where two tables occupied with a handful of people at the bar, and no scent of either prime rib or bbq being cooked. We took our seats at our table and ordered our drinks, after receiving our drinks where where notified that there would be no specials tonight. So we decided to try the limited menu. We ordered one hamburger, two reuben panini and a medium three topping pizza. After about ten minutes out come the two panini, and a minute later the hamburger comes out on a small paper plate (not even in a basket, and with no fries, chips, or even a pickle). We wait as we don't want to be rude to our fourth guest who is waiting on his pizza. After waiting ten to fifteen minutes and watching pizzas going out the door and us not eating our waitress comes by and says "It'll be another 10 minutes on that pizza". Graciously our friend tells us to eat before it gets cold while he waits for his food. After a total of 30 minutes after the three of us where served our guest got his pizza. It was missing one of the three toppings, but he was so hungry and didn't feel like waiting another 45 minutes. To top it off when we received our bill, we where charged for the missing topping. I politely informed her of the mistake and she replied "oh I noticed that was missing, I'll change that bill" I hope this review helps some of you that are out of town. Avoid unless it's Friday (good fish dinner, but really busy) or you order your pizza ahead for take out.
