Lucky Wok is a pretty decent Chinese restaurant, as far as takeout places go. Prices are reasonable, food is (usually) good. It's a little hit or miss, but the curry tofu (or chicken, if you like) is awesome.

NOM NOM NOM. Totally worth 7.20 including tax. House special lo mein, or was it chow mein? I'm still learning chinese restaurant lingo. The menu was straight-forward, the prices low, great 5 dollar lunch specials. 4 booths and lots of take-out orders with free delivery. "NYC style" Chinese restaurant.

This place is great! They have the best customer service I have ever had with a Chinese food restaurant. They have a really good veggie combo, it comes with a vegetable egg roll with bean sprouts and vegetable fried rice. The delivery is always fast and friendly.

Best Chinese take out in the area...very nice staff and pretty fast..In fact, this is better food then the sit down "Kitty's" resturant across the parking lot.

I use to frequent this place for my daughters and I dinner. We always ordered the sesame chicken they changed the sauce to something cheeper and we have never been back! That's been over a year, when we use to order every other week

I absolutely love this place! Especially their free delivery. The prices are about what you would expect for a take out restaurant. I haven't eaten anything there that I didn't enjoy.

Ordered a party tray of chicken lo mein and single order crab rangoon- my first time eating here Party tray of Chicken lo mein ( for 5 kids and 1 adult) more than plenty of food (even with big eaters) with plenty of leftovers. I would guess could feed 5 adults easy (with big portions ) and the food is amazing! Crab rangoon was fresh and good. Delivery is free and despite them saying 40 minute wait- they were here in only 20 minutes even better! ! Food was hot, fresh, and delicious! ! Will definitely order from here again!

i'm updating my review because i know some yelpers have had concern with the credit card issues here. the food is still good, however i think they need a new credit card system. i ordered my food online and had it delivered. before the food was delivered, someone called me to let me know my card was not accepted and i would need to show my ID at the door. when i checked my account, the money had been taken out for the food. i was not charged multiple times for the food, however i think there must be an issue if they tell people all the time that their cards were not accepted when they were.

I'm usually not the one to write a bad review but this was preposterous. So we ordered the Almond chicken dinner with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and crab Rangoon. Mind you we had to wait over an hour to get our delivery which is understandable considering it was dinner rush. After about an hour we finally got our food and they had forgotten the brown gravy that goes with the almond chicken which if you know Chinese food you know this dish is almost impossible to eat without the gravy. Also the chicken was so heavily fried that it was hard as a rock. The crab Rangoon was also hard as a rock and very difficult to eat you can tell this place only uses frozen generic style food. We then called back to explain to them about their mistake and all we got back was tons of attitude about how they did not mess up. What a horrible horrible experience We will never ever order from this place again absolutely despicable. Follow Food Porn Detroit on Instagram.

This is one of the few Chinese restaurants that will deliver to my house in Inkster. When the food arrives, it is still warm. So, that is a plus for me. The chicken wings and legs are always nicely seasoned. They are generous with their portion sizes for most of their food.

This used to be my family's favorite place for Chinese take out, i even previously wrote a five star view a few years ago. Well I feel after many bad experiences and terrible food i definitely should update my review. The people who run the place more particularly the woman is such a huge bitch! When they make a mistake she gets on the phone with attitude and claims they don't make mistakes and then they refuse to fix it. We have been going to lucky wok for over 10 years they know me yet they refuse to correct mistakes. The food has changed so many times through the years and it keeps getting bland and more and more generic. They used to have THE BEST shrimp spring rolls and now the spring rolls have no shrimp and now they taste like any other frozen spring roll complete mush crap! And the price is the same even though there is no shrimp! The breaded chicken for sweet and sour chicken is now like rubber the chicken under the breading is inedible. Almost all the sauces especially the szechuan sauce are bland and don't have the flavor profile that they should. The only thing still good that has not changed is the chicken teriyaki on a stick but i can't go there just for that it would cost me a fortune to feed my line backers just chicken on a stick. Today i am done i have spent my last penny at lucky wok i will have to find another place for my family to eat Chinese food.

We order from here at least 4x per month. I've never had any of the issues that others claim. The people are always polite and friendly. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. Delivery is adequate with as much business as this place does. We are picky about Chinese food and this place hits the spot every time!

The manager is rude. Took out my money twice and said it was declined. I even shoed them my statement. Never got my refund.

Used to be my favorite, and I ordered once every 2 weeks for my family. But since the attitude of the guy owner or manager, I would never come back again.

What a joke! Juggalo as a cashier. He told me my total was "over twenty dollars" on the phone, and when I picked it up I almost walked out by the look of the place. Should have, just through all the food out. I would have thrown out more but they forgot my eggroles. Long review short, don't waste your time.

I'm student teaching at the nearby high school right now and have been to Lucky Wok a couple of times. Each time I've gotten the tofu and mushroom dish. It's incredibly delicious and the portions and prices are impressive. I get the combo with a vegetable egg roll with bean sprouts (also delicious) and vegetable fried rice (above average). The staff are sufficiently congenial. I also like that you get to watch them cook while you wait as the kitchen line is through an open door directly behind the counter. I will definitely be returning while I'm still regularly visiting Garden City. I wish Lucky Wok was around the corner from my place!

So my boyfriend and I decided to order Chinese for dinner and we've ordered from this place dozens of times plus I was really in the mood for it tonight. So we place the order and they call back to verify the credit card like they always do. And the lady on the phone said it was declined. So we canceled it because...well that's what you'd do when it gets declined right? Well we looked at the balance of the card and they had already charged us the amount of the food. So he called back and was explaining it to them, but they said something like they can't re-open the order because it's voided or some stupid crap like that and they can't charge the card again because there isn't enough funds on this particular card for another charge of that amount and...just sigh. So long story short, we don't have the money they charged for the food until it's re-credited back to the card(which apparently won't be for another 3 or 4 days....), I didn't get my Chinese food I was looking forward to, and we won't be ordering from that place ever again which so far has been the only decent Chinese place with delivery in this area. The food is, depending on what you get, decent. But after this and the way my boyfriend was spoken to over the phone(They hung up on him by the way...), we will never be ordering from here again. I suggest you find another Chinese place to order from!

This is our go to place for Chinese delivery. The food is better than expected for take-out. We used the online ordering tool last time and it worked great. I would recommend this place to anyone within the free delivery radius.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
