One of my favorite things about this place is that they are open all winter. Wait a minute, that's not at all my favorite thing. It's the pizza! Pizza is one of those things that everyone is an "expert" on. They know what is the BEST pizza. Well one thing is sure, I've been getting pizza here for almost 20 years and feeding crowds of guests at the cottage from all over and I can only think of ONE person who didn't like the pizza. She also didn't care for Crystal Lake or Moomer's ice cream either, so we're pretty sure she was just crazy. The sauce is a more on the salty/garlicky side as opposed to sweet. I prefer savory to sweet on pizza. The crust is baked in a pan but isn't greasy so I suspect they don't add oil to their pans like pizza hut. It's a nice, chewy crust. And you can season it too! My personal favorite is garlic and sesame. You'd be crazy to order original crust here unless it's for the kids. To this day I find it remarkable they are able to make their sauce and dough in house. I say this because outside of metropolitan areas, this practice isn't common. This location lacks viable dine in, the atmosphere is starting to look a little old and needs some freshening up, but the pizza is just great. I, and my friends, honestly wish they'd open a location in Chicago. And that's saying something! In fact I'm writing this review from Chicago now and what I'd do to have one of their Buddha pizzas delivered!!! I hope people in Frankfort appreciate having such great pizza in a small town!

Everything Crust? I think so. $12.50 for a large pepperoni pizza with a fluffy crispy crust that has the spices and toppings of an everything bagel on the outside. Papanos pizza would probably be 4 stars were it not for this delicious novelty but you really can't beat this combination of tastiness, affordability and convenience. Big winner.

Whatever you do, get the "everything" crust. You won't be disappointed! The subs as I recall are pretty tasty, too... but it's all about the pizza love. Once your order is ready, you can sit outside on a bench and watch life go by as you eat. It's the best of summer!

Good crust, great sauce--which is vegan--good toppings. Not a lot of seating. This is definitely a take and go place. Friendly staff. Veggies and vegans can eat here!

Gotta go with the butter-parmasean crust. Just ridiculous. And if you feel like mixing it up, try the cheeseburger pizza. You'll be surprised. I would also suggest getting your pizza to go, stopping at the public seating area next to the Cool Spot, eat the Papanos, grab a scoop of your favorite flavor and walk down to the Frankfort beach to enjoy a sunset. Great way to spend a summer evening.

Even after surfing 4 hours by the pier this pizza still tastes...pizza hutty. If you like Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Little Ceasers--you'll likely like this. My brother-in-law, classic college student, loves it. But if you are familiar with wood-fired pizza or like fresh ingredients I'd pass.

Excellent pizza place! Seems like it is more popular to take pizzas to go rather than eat in but there are two tables in there. When I saw the menu I knew that this was the indication of greatness-they have a while chicken pizza menu! With nearly 6 types of chicken pizza to choose from and it was a tough one. Chose the chicken Tuscany and it didn't disappoint at all. Tasty and delicious crust, loaded with lots of veggies that they were nearly falling off! I got mine to go, along with a small garden salad. The garden salad had a nice surprise of provolone cheese slices in it, yum! The portions were huge--I had enough pizza for two meals! Def great value. Expect service to be normal for carryout, I waited about 20 mins but no big deal as it was nice outside and I could walk around or sit by the water while I waited. Don't miss this place if you have time in Frankfort.

Its nothing special but your regular pizza place. Looks like an old and unattended dominos pizza restaurant. It has limited seating and its not a place you'd go to sit and eat. We ordered two medium pizzas and a family size salad for $34. Salad was very small and barely fed two of us. Its just okay!

This is good pizza. Consistent and cheap. Doesn't get better than that! There isn't a ton of seating, but there are better places to take your pizza to eat it anyway.

Good, consistent, fast, cheap pizza. Great crust. A great staple during the long, cold, Northern Michigan winters. They should deliver.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
