Great service, Great food! Must try original Q.P. (quarter pound) burger with olives and the famous Boston cooler shake (vanilla shake with vernors pop... M mmmm too die for delicious. The staff is always courteous any time I Visit here and you can't beat HOT, GOOD food that's heavenly. :) Most ppl think it's a bit expensive for a burger joint BUT I think you get what you pay for!! BeSides they say the proof is in the pudding rgt.! Halo burger is heavenly... if you're in the area this is an absolutely must have.

The original Halo Burger. a Flint phenomenon (I do not know of them being anywhere else other than here). they are a small local outfit (not very many locations). Their food is good, but be prepared to spend a little more as they are up there in price like Wendy's. This location is the one that President Clinton visited in 1995 on his trip to Michigan (I may be wrong on the year, but he was definitely here). BEWARE OF THE BUMS *IN* AND AROUND THE STORE! The staff doesn't care that they are there (they have TVs in the lobby for them to watch), and mostly they keep to themselves in a booth sleeping or whatever, but they are there. On occasion I have been asked by one of them if I was going to finish what I was eating. Overall, the place has a dirty downtown scary feeling to it, which you'd half expect due to it being the craphole that Flint is of all places. However, Their burgers are heavenly as are their milkshakes. 4 stars.

mmm mmm good ole halo melt in your mouth burger!! Don't forget to get your Vernor's (although I can't personally stand the drink!) and Yes I agree with Bruce...watch out for the homeless guys... being a female alone in my car.. at night.. and having someone approach my car from the back in the drive-thru to ask for change can be a bit unnerving!

The food is okay, but a little overpriced to me for just a quarter pounder combo meal. Halo Burger is one still one of the better places to find a decent place to eat around Flint, but basically there very few other places I would consider going into. It does seem like people like to hang around or go in there not to eat but I've never had trouble with them when I go back to use the bathroom. Everyone just keeps to themselves.

The original spot is must-stop place when you're downtown Flint. Go for the old timey ness and stay for the food. And the food is where it's at- the burgers with extra pickles, mustard with a few fries on it... mmmm! If you don't get a boston cooler to drink, you're not doing it right! Vernors and vanilla soft serve blended to the perfect consistency- I wish I could have one right now.

What better way to welcome a friend home than by bringing a couple halo burgers to the airport for the ride back. Earned me some brownie points!!! The burgers and fries were phenomenal! Even though the cooled a little in transit they still tasted amazing. I can't wait to dine sometime. Make this part of your travels!!
