Nice central location to meet up with people when I visit Flint. Seems like happy hour is the best time to go, drink wise. Especially if you are a martini drinker. I try not to eat here if I can help it though. I few years back, I came and ordered crab cake sliders which was a HUGE mistake on so many different levels because they left me hugging the toilet later that evening. Ever since then, I try not to eat here. Just drink. Last time I was there, I ordered Jack and cokes. But the third one, I could tell I was getting all the coke and all the ice and a sprinkle of Jack. So yeah, 2 stars because this is a good spot to meet up and go elsewhere.

I Thought I'd take Bar Louie up on the $1 burger deal... Get there and I'm told I must buy an drink ($2.69) in order to get the $1 burger. Deception... But it's all good. I order a coke..... It's flat!!! Ange orders a sprite..... It's flat! We tell the waitress she want to give it another try, cool lets go for it. She returns, and they are flat! Waitress responds respectfully and ask if we want a manger to check it out. Yes we replied. Manager comes out and says he's check the termination and he even sampled it and everything was good. I only took two sips told him he can try them, both drinks were flat. They Charged me anyway, even with all 4 drinks left on the table nearly untouched. The manager was patronizing and condescending. This is the 2nd time I've been disappointed there. I think I'm done, food and drinks are too pricey to be disappointed. I gave 3 stars because the food actually tastes good. Waitress got a good tip still!!

We walked in the door to a seat yourself sign. We prefer booths and all of the booths were dirty. I started looking around and noticed mist of the tables weren't bused. I cleaned off the table I wanted myself. No apologies from the wait staff just a quick do you know what you want. We asked for time... there are a lot of good looking drinks on the menu. While we were waiting for quite some time for the waitress to come back we noticed the prices of the food. $14 for Mac n cheese. $12 for a burger. By the time the waitress came back we had decided this place just isn't for us. To few choices for food and to expensive. Maybe if I was just going for drinks but even then the service today probably scared me off from that too.

My friend and her boyfriend took me here while I was in town because it's their go to place for drinks. Very spacious and comfortable place. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because our waitress forgot our drinks multiple times and only checked on us once. When we asked what draft beer they carried we were told to look in the menu. The drinks were a bit over priced, although they do have a beer of the month or week that allows you to get a tall for a dollar more than a short.

My husband and I have been there several times on the $1.00 burger night. We always order the tater tots which are expensive at over $4.00 a basket but it was a large basket so we could split them. The last time we were there the basket was so ridiculously small but the price was the same! I just hate when restaurants do this!!

Do not let these negative reviews deter you from going to this only hot spot in Flint. Coming from L.A. I had never expected to find such a hip, neat, cool place to go to in Flint. I mean Tuesday is the $2.00 burger and drink specials are amazing. The burger was great and with over 20 beers on tap to chose from you can not go wrong. They are extremely busy when the happy hour opens and the best bet is to go early before they open the happy hour or sit at the bar if you have 3 or less people. If you read reviews of slow service well, duh...they are packed I mean full at 5:30 pm. I mean people can only move so fast....go pay full-price somewhere else and then complain for better service.....:)

love their chopped salad. such a good deal & so much food. however, not happy about drink prices. Absolut & lemon juice cost far too much. $10.50 So as far as drinks go, it's 3 dolla signs for sure!! Service was good!! The server was great, but I'm just pretty annoyed by sneaky drink prices.

Prices are absurd. Ordered the only steak they offer medium. It came out well done, normally I wouldn't complain but it was a 26 dollar thin ribeye. Ugh. So I sent it back and they brought me out a " medium" steak that took 20 more minutes and it was only charred. So disappointed. The drinks were great, but 10 each. I will never go there again and will steer all friends and family the other way.

They first time I went was on a Tuesday night for a coworker birthday. It was dollar burger night, the burger, tots, and drinks were awesome. It is pricey but still awesome. Talk my best friend into going and she thrilled about it.

I went there with some coworkers. The service was shitty for a Thursday night. The server started to ignore our group and give us an attitude. I had my debit card. That I used. I authorized a lesser amount to my card than was charged. The bar waited to give the waitress an 18% tip. Which she didn't earn, I did want to give her a 14% tip instead (I work retail so I understand how crappy people can be), but still charged me for the 18% tip. I was NOT impressed with that. I do not think I will give this establishment any more of my money.

The waitress was rolling her eyes at customers. It took 10 minutes to order. 15 minutes to get 3 waters n a long island. The long Island was gross. I get better service n drunks at a local watering hole.

I would say this is a five star and I really do think so but there was one particular waitress who had a terrible attitude and began crying from being overwhelmed. It didn't seem as though she had any assistance so our took forever our drinks were late and well it just wasn't a good look for the restaurant! I end up ordering from the bar --- excellent service there by every bartender!!!!! I will go back best weekday happy hour specials ever!

We just walked out without getting served or even acknowledged. This was a first. They weren't all that busy, but apparently couldn't be bothered. They were slow on getting to the few tables around us and we saw the writing on the wall. We would probably have to wait a good deal longer than we already had, which was too long to begin with. Since we were dying of thirst and couldn't even get a water, we hightailed it out of there. I guess what other people have been saying about the poor service really is true. We were seated at a high-top near the bar and as we left, the bartender, who was chatting on her phone the whole time, just stared at us. Oh, and their so-called "free wi-fi" doesn't work. Don't bother.

Service is super slow. I always wonder why I go whenever I do. Average food bad service. Needs more employees working.

Ordered a well done burger. Came pink. Salad with ranch, got blue cheese instead. I see why there is no one inside anymore. This place has gone way down hill

Usually go for $1 burger Tuesdays and the staff is always a delight! Happy hour on drinks after 10pm.

Not impressed. I first sat myself and then had a long wait to get a drink. When my drink arrived I was ready to order food. At no time was I made aware of any drink or food specials. I ordered a simple sandwich (California chicken club or something) and was offered fries or tots, I chose tots. After a lengthy wait for my sandwich, it was brought out with fries. I told my server the mistake and she said she'd take care of it. 15 minutes later, I'm finished with my sandwich and I still don't have the tots. After 20 minutes I was finally offered another drink and I then reminded my server about the tots. 1 hour 45 minutes and I managed to get 2 drinks and a simple sandwich on a slow night. Not an efficient bar/restaurant. This location seems to have a slow bartender, servers who don't communicate, food that's mediocre and an entire staff with no drive or sense of urgency. I know I won't be in a rush to return to this location.

This is the new restaurant that went in when Genesee Valley had its last remodel. Pretty good food, although it's a bit on the pricey side -- about $9 or $10 for just sandwich/burger + fries. Not sure if it's worth it, but there are some upsides... perfectly seasoned fries, a delicious pear salad, and one of the biggest slices of carrot cake I've ever seen in a single serving. Pros: large booths and tables, great ambiance, very spacious. Cons: the service can be unbearably slow.. on my last visit, we had to wait 40+ mins for the entrees to come out. however, the server made up for it by offering us free dessert, so all was forgiven. I'd come here if I was meeting up with friends for a drink and didn't want to smell like the bar afterward, or for a nice dinner after a day of shopping.

Love the happy hour specials - $3 Pints! And what a great beer selection to choose from at that price.

Fun place to hang out after work.... Nice beer selection and the food is good. A little pricey for this area but not outrageous.

Bar Louie is my favorite place on Miller Road in Flint. They have great appitizers, a huge beer selection, and probably my new favroite thing in the world - Loaded Tater Tots. I have friends and co-workers who really don't like this place, but I really love just about everything I get there. I know they have great happy hour specials on apps and drinks. Great place for groups - lots of open space for big groups with people coming and going, nice booths to hang out for an evening with some friends, or a really big bar for catching a game. Great outdoor seating that I look forward to taking advantage of once the state thaws out in June. One of my Flint favorites.

Are you kidding me? This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. Even a fast-food place can mess up, and give you some free food, no problems. In response to an above poster, they ask you if your drink is "ok" 100 times because something is wrong with their tap and their soda comes out un-carbonated and watered down. I was fine with that, until the waitress sarcastically asked if it was ok 3 times. I got my burger and it was undercooked, red in the middle and chewy. The fries were salted so much that I couldn't even taste fry anymore. After complaining the waitress sarcastically brought me back a free appetizer for my "undercooked food". Keep it, please.

THE BEST BEER SELECTION IN FLINT! Sorry for yelling. Yea, its pricey depending on your income. Just show up for happy hour with your broke ass. $3 pints. Although, something tells me the staff is trained to slow down on serving you after you have had too many happy hour drinks

went with a group of friends. waited for 15 min before we were even notice by the bartender she was in a serious conversion with a group of guys. finally got service and she was rude like we were keeping her from the stimulating conversation she had to leave to serve us. we then moved to a table and sat with empty drinks and was never asked if we wanted another drink/food anything. will not be returning to the Flint location ever

Bar Louie was our escape over the weekend from the in laws. The sister in laws and I headed there Saturday for "break" in the family action. What I can say is good selection of spirits, very good food and open airy atmosphere. However, I thought it was a tad pricey for Flint, and I thought the service was hit and miss considering there were only maybe 10 people in the place. I also thought it was weird that our server asked us if we were sure after every drink we ordered. Um yeah, I'm pretty sure that is what I want. I said. Bar Louie is good but I think we'll keep searching and use it as our back up bar...

Bar Louie, you're so cute. And you're connected to the mall. And you stay open late. But I know you didn't charge $8 for that teeny martini!

Constantly out of full bodied beer (IPA,Porter, etc.- 4 of my last 5 visits). You think they would realize that those kegs are out because people are ordering these great Michigan brews! It is almost like they do it on purpose, to sell you a beer with more profit margin. I left without eating. Where is the profit in that?

I like Bar Louie for its ambiance and its great beer selection. It's the only place around town where I've found Founders or New Holland Brewing Co. on tap. It's a nice place to meet someone and have a drink or meet for dinner. I've had dinner at Bar Louie a few times and I was never disappointed. The Thai stir-fry I had once (not at this location though) was amazing and I've had a few burgers that were pretty good. The place is rather pricey, so be warned. One of the upsides of it being not so cheap is that it attracts a different crowd than the regular bar fly, which can be quite refreshing in Genesee county :-)

While the atmosphere was upscale, the choice of drinks is less than I'd find in a neighborhood beer bar. For someone accustom to an upscale bar, pass on this one.

Horrible service! We had to seat ourselves, which is ridiculous to begin with. Then, after sitting and waiting for at least 15 minutes without any acknowledgement from multiple servers walking past our table, we decided to leave. We were blatantly ignored and not even served water. Therefore, we just got up and left and decided to eat at Olive Garden, which had incredible service. I'll never go back to Bar Louie again!

Definitely an upgrade to Flint's choices of late night spirit-inspired socialization. Large, open, high-ceiling'ed space is a nice change from hallway-sized back-alley bars. A little pricier but offers more than a hamburger and fries to eat. Good enough to have dinner with a date, AND stay for drinks.

yummy drinks! best nachos ever (my opinion of course) and fantastic selection of beer on tap that is unheard of in Flint, MI. The atmosphere is great, the people are always really nice, and quick. The downside, it's a little pricey. But on the other hand, the prices bring a different group of people out and about that tend to stay in there "suburban" locals (haha) and the riff raff stays out. Overall, it's my fav place in flinttown to meet up with friends, have a few drinks and some good food.
