I always hear that the pizza is what they are known for. I wouldn't argue that it is It is not a good pizza, it is, but lately I'm too busy trying all the sandwiches. For lunch you cant go wrong with any of them, and the half sandwich with a bowl of soup is becoming the usual for me. The Cuban is great, with a bowl of french onion soup. More than I can even finish. I would also recommend the baked pasta dishes. Oh, and the breadsticks?...wow. The lunch wait staff has always been wonderful, and the price is good for the quantity and quality of the food.

Not that special! This place is a rip off of highland house. Their pizza is greasier and not nearly as good. The bread is the same recipe as highland house too.

The decor and service are nothing to write home about. However, I think most people go to Fenton House for the pizza. Actually, I think more people might go for the amazing breadsticks. Seriously, the breadsticks alone will make your visit. The pizza is always quality. I've never been disappointed.

We moved to the Fenton area in 2008, and have eaten both dine-in and carry-out from the Fenton House several times since our arrival in the area. Their breadsticks are fantastic! We've had the pizza and some of the Italian entrees, too, and everything's been pretty tasty. Admittedly, we are pizza snobs - my husband is from Long Island originally, and after visiting his family there for the first time and having some NY pizza, I join him in saying that anything outside of NY is really not pizza, just a facsimile. Our theory is that it's the water making a difference in the dough, but I digress. For non-NY pizza, this is pretty good stuff! We'd take it over most of the chain offerings. We had the Chicken Tortilla pizza recently and our whole family really raved about it. The waitstaff is somewhat unpredictable. We've had some really super folks providing us service (and that's reflected in the gratuity) and some...meh servers too. (Also reflected in the gratuity.) But the food remains pretty consistent, in our experience, and so we continue to return. One of the complaints we have about restaurants in general around Fenton is that most close by 9-9:30 PM. We moved out here from the city, so perhaps we just haven't adjusted completely to a more rural setting, but it would be nice if we could go sit down somewhere to eat at 9:30-10:00, because sometimes that's when we are done with work! Just a thought. :)

Nice service, decent food, low prices, large portions. If the jalepeno potato soup is available, get it! Looked like a lil arcade in the back room and also some pleasant-looking outside seating out back.

Not sure what all the hype is about. The breadsticks are... well... breadsticks. Nothing special. We ordered dinner for carryout for about 10 people the weekend we moved into our new house, because I was told we "had to" try them, because they were so great. We got a variety of entrees so that people could pick what they wanted, or mix & match. Chicken was dry as a bone. Prices were high. Mostaccioli was mediocre, at best. I was frustrated at the menu options and the fact that most entrees don't even come with vegetables?!?!? REALLY???? Couldn't even order veggies on the side, only "potato/starch" dishes. Placed my order. Was told it would take 25 minutes. I arrived there to pick it up almost exactly 25 minutes later, and had to wait an ADDITIONAL 25 minutes for food. Drove all the way back home, only to find that they had shorted us roughly half of what we had ordered. So I had to drive back again, show them the receipt... and all the stuff that was missing. Five minutes later, someone finally realized that they had left half of my order in the area where the orders are bagged for customer pickup. Then they tried to give them to me. I told them I didn't want cold dinners and wilted salads. So I had to wait another 20 minutes. I complained and asked for manager. Management was less than apologetic. He listened to me... apologized, promised that he would do something to "make up" for it, then he just walked away. I was under the impression that he was going to refund part of my substantial bill or give me a gift card or something, but he never came back. I stood there for about 5 or 6 minutes, then I finally started to feel like a complete idiot, and I just left. So from the time I ordered our food... to the time I was actually able to sit down and eat my cold dinner... was darn near 2 hours. So, I haven't actually eaten in their restaurant... but I don't plan to after that experience.

I have enjoyed Fenton House from a very young age - due to the amazing breadsticks, salad, and pizza. Fenton House breadsticks are a must-eat in Fenton (can't beat them with any other bread!) and the greek salad is unrivaled in town. The pizza and pasta dishes are plentiful and offer generous portions. The service and location are okay. The game room in the back is fun for kids of all ages.

This is a family favorite because it's one of the only restaurants in town where every member of family can eat something they enjoy (my 2 little sisters are pretty picky eaters). The complimentary breadsticks are AWESOME, and the pizza is consistently good, but the service is consistently inconsistent. I've had great servers and I've had crummy servers here -- it's really hit or miss. At least I always know what to expect when it comes to the food.

We went to Fenton House a few weeks ago with a large party, I think about 16 or 18 in all. First, they double-booked our reservation so we could not all sit together. Our tables had different wait staff. Our table was well served and we got our food promptly. Service at the other table was completely incompetent, and my brothers in law did not get their meals until our whole party was basically ready to leave. Some of the same entrees were served at both tables, so that wasn't the issue. No effort was made to compensate them for the delay, and they had to dispute the automatic gratuity that had been added to their bill for large parties. I had the lasagne, and overall the food was pretty good, except I thought the sauce was a bit sweet. A couple of people in our group had the ribs and said they were tough and not very good. Their bread sticks are to die for. I've heard people say they like Fenton House, and others say it all depends on who you have waiting on you. We saw that to be true. There are better places to dine in Fenton. Fenton House is known for their pizza, and I haven't tried that. They have carryout, so they may be totally acceptable in that regard. I don't know. They have a game room, but I didn't check it out. Had college football on widescreen TVs, but when the game ended, they left it on some half-hour infomercial for some 70s CD collection. Lame. Hint: on-street parking is limited. Park in the large public lot behind the restaurant and enter through the rear door.

I enjoy eating at the Fenton House, and I've been there several times. It's nothing really special, but you always know what you're going to get, and it's always acceptable. I was there for a rehearsal dinner, and the private room was nice, even if it was a little small. It was nice that we had our own pop machine for refills because I don't think the waitresses assigned to our party came very often. They served the food for our large party in large take-out trays, but they didn't have anything under them to keep the food warm, and so the food didn't stay piping hot. But it was still good. The Fenton House has had some hard knocks in the last few years... First a fire totally gutted the place, and then they had a car drive right into the take out area. They seem to have bounced back and the food quality is still the same - acceptable, and you always know what you're going to get. My favorite is the Greek salad. The game room is also great for kids (of all ages). I think the Fenton House is best for family dining. If you're going to have a large group, I would suggest reserving the private room.

The bread sticks and pizza here are good. I am not sure that this place is a full-on 4 stars because I've never had anything else on the menu, and sometimes the service can be dodgy. For a small town family-owned business, they are decent and I would gladly spend some jingle here.

Awful! I ordered the chicken teryaki which was way too salty. The chicken was freezer burned. My friend ordered Chicken parmesan and it was pretty much inedible. His plate came out cold and there were only a handful of people at the restaurant. The breadsticks are good and the salads were nothing special, but not bad. We will not be returning.

Our family has enjoyed the Fenton House for years...When our family all comes back home we enjoy a family meal at the Fenton House...we use one of the rooms. The service and food is great. My sister-in-law always makes sure so has atleast one bag of bread sticks to go back home in Wis.

Pizza is average. The breadsticks and salads are amazing. Best breadsticks I still have ever had. Low key mom and pop restaurant. But food is great for takeout.

Finally got to make a visit here, and I was really impressed. I had the escargot-which was amazing, and then the lobster bisque which was divine! They had live piano music with a singer who was fabulous to listen too while eating our dinner. Very nice dark wood décor, friend staff and amazing food. Will visit again in the future.

I grew up in the Fenton area, and have enjoyed Fenton House for years. I now live in New Orleans, but this is a must-stop place for me every time I visit family and friends. The pizza and pasta dishes are good, the Greek salad is awesome, but their breadsticks are a-mazing. These breadsticks are unlike any others I have tried (and I've tried a lot)... fresh, hot, just enough garlic that isn't overwhelming. I don't think I can put into words just how good these breadsticks taste. The restaurant itself has a nice family atmosphere, and the servers are friendly. The menu is extensive, but I can't stress this enough: save room for lots of breadsticks.

The bread sticks are amazing and so is their Greek salad and pizza. The atmosphere at times can be too crowded, but other then that it is a great place. When I order out from here, the food is ready on time and still hot.

I gave it a 3 but went back and forth on whether or not to give it a 4, as my feelings about Fenton House are a mixed bag, so I'll just break it down. One of our more recent experiences- came in through rear entrance. Walked to the front where there were two teenage boys standing talking. They turned and looked at us like we were nuts for being there and one of them finally said "can we help you?" I thought maybe we had come in after closing and just didn't realize it. It was 8:15 or 9:15 I can't remember. There were no other customers there. I said " oh, are you closed?" One of the boys replied "well we close in like 45 minutes soooooo like....we already shut the ovens and stuff down." Then silence. Obviously our invitation to leave. So we did. The Food- the breadsticks of course are very good as pretty much everyone else has said. I have one particular pasta dish that I really like, and I stick with that. The Greek salad is very good. In large part due to their house dressing. I love it! Catering- I had them cater a staff Christmas party. I have to say, there were no issues. The portions were huge for the price. Everyone was happy and very full!

Love this staple in Fenton restaurants. The breadsticks are the best in town, especially with the cheese dip. My favorite is the baked mostaccioli with the jalapeño cheddar and potato soup. Their chicken pesto pizza is also another favorite. They just added a huge patio for outdoor dining. I can't wait to try it out this summer.

My girlfriend and I came in the back door, walked all the way to the front and were then walked back to that rear room with a couple tables in it. We were told the reason we were being seated in the weird dark room was because they were on "rotation". We walked past like 7 open tables in the main seating area. It took about 15 minutes to receive our drinks, then a lot longer to actually receive our food. We were told they were having computer problems. What a computer has to do with cooking food is beyond me. Refill on our drinks? Forget about it. I had to get a refill myself from the machine. Silverware and napkins? Nope. I had to get those myself as well. And this whole time were the only people in this weird room. Everyone coming and going was being seated in the main area. The food was ok. I had the ravioli, but it was completely smothered in an inch thick layer of cheese. I had to dig around to find the food. Overall, inexperienced staff and poor management had us wishing we would have eaten somewhere else.

Foods ok. A little over priced, but not terrible. Inside atmosphere is bleh. Service is not bad, but they could be a little more personable. Perfer my food here to-go.

Fenton House is very underrated. Only the best bread sticks in the world! Lol. Very good sticks! Always a solid and yummy meal! Good pizza, great Greek Salads, nice wait staff, great family atmosphere and great for kids with a game room. ... all for a fair price. Always a good meal.

I like their pizza..it's pretty good! The atmosphere is kinda bleh inside..not sure what it is about the place? maybe a little run down. The outside looks nice and it appears that there may be some new outside seating (maybe that will help the atmosphere some). I like that it is a local small business.

Friendly staff, excellent food, good sized portions. Not a whole lot more to say here. As others have said, you won't find better breadsticks anywhere else.

I like supporting local businesses so I eat here often when I want some pizza. It's not the best pizza I've ever had but it is good. I love the breadsticks though! I only wish they offered different kinds of crust rather than the typical flat type.

Very friendly staff. It was clean inside. The food was very good. I had an Italian Wrap sandwich which was delicious. The bread sticks are out of this world. You get a lot of them and they are fantastic

Setting was warm and comfortable. Although the character of the joint ends at the outer facade. Service was prompt and friendly. Our waitress was new and forgot the bread sticks but attentive and friendly the entire visit. She brought out our soup and salad quickly. I had French onion soup and it was very good (but could and should have been hotter). My girlfriend got a Greek salad which she enjoyed. The entree I ordered was baked chicken parm and she got chicken teriyaki. Mine came out warm just like my soup and my girlfriends was just warm as well. Hers tasted more like soy than teriyaki. Both meals were edible and mediocre at best. We mentioned the breadsticks when our entrées were brought out. Our server apologized and promptly brought a basket out to us. Yes they are just breadsticks, but they were addicting. The texture was soft and chewy on the inside and ever so slightly crispy on the outside. The highlight of the meal for sure. If you're not looking for anything fancy and aren't expecting too much, I'd recommend it.

Based on a recommendation from a friend - we decided to try Fenton House Restaurant's famous breadsticks. They were amazing. Top notch. Something so simple was masterfully done. The intense taste of garlic/salt of the bread combined with the ever-so epic parmesan cheese dip made this one of the top two breadsticks I've ever had...in my life. They are constantly being made and we were given an oh-so fresh batch straight from the oven. No need to call ahead (like we did). It costs you $5.25 out the door and it'll be one of the best $5 you ever spend. Get the cheese dip! 12 cut-up sticks come in a bag. All the pieces are about 8 long. Grade: A+

Fenton House has really, really good pizza, the bread sticks steal the show. I just wish they would deliver!!! I'm pushing four stars based on Pizza alone, most other things on the menu are not as good as their pizza.

LOVE the food here. I've been known to stop by for JUST bread sticks. Stromboli is great. Love the fettuccini alfredo. And if you have a salad you have to have the house dressing!

Seriously, the best bread sticks anywhere!

  • M M.

The bread sticks here are amazing. However, everything else is horrible. The service is bad. I went in to the takeout room to pick up an order. The manager was in there screaming at some waitress. He did this while in front of many customers. Very unprofessional. Don't waste your time here!!

  • Laura P.

All of the food here is fresh. Portion sizes are huge! We have been several times and everything we have ordered has surpassed expectation. Decor could be a little more updated, but food and service is excellent

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
