Went for the lunch buffet. No impressed. Food was too greasy, sitting too long, not delicious, and questionable holding temperature. Any Chinese place that has a buffet I would recommend staying away from. Not the real deal. I won't be back.

Outside: Is this a Chinese place? Inside: Remodeled comfortable, could use some music Food: American Chinese Service: Is alright, seems to be a little betfer if you order off the menu Cost: Fair As this use to be (probally still is) the best place for Chinese in Bay City, I would have to say that since their move and addition of a buffet they lost a step. That is why they are not above average. To be honest we have not been to any other Chinese place in Bay City in years. That is why it holds a solid 3. I think the buffet has brought their standards down, and almost makes me a little sad. As for the buffet it is clean and fresh just bland and a bit repetitive. Everything is brown in brown sauce and taste the same. The menu items seem to be the best place place to get any quality and variety.

Some of the buffet food looks as if it had been sitting in the steam table wayyyy too long.

I had the sesame chicken meal and it was excellent! Orange chicken was different but the flavor was there. Excellent food.

This has got to be one of the worst Chinese restaurants that I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. The food on buffet looked like it had been sitting there for three weeks and tasted like it too.

The most disgusting food I've ever had!

The owners are so nice here... Used to really love this place until they moved and tried to do a small buffet...ive given them a handful of chances since the move, in hopes of seeing that glimmer of greatness again...but, no luck. Such a shame!

Favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Love the crabmeat cheese. Like the old location in the Hampton Mall better.

Worst Chinese food in town hands down, for the best Chinese food in Essexville, MI I recommend 5 Star on the corner across the street from Rebel.

Before the move this was the best place for Chinese in Bay City, since the move and addition of the buffet a lot of their food tastes the same. Good service, and if you are into chinese buffets this is a good choice.

The best place for Chinese food in the Tri Cities for over 20 years. The lunch specials are great and the new location with the buffet works well for them.

First off, they were better before they moved. Secondly, I recommend NOT getting the buffet. It was sub-par. Whenever I've ordered off the menu I haven't had an issue. It's definitely the best place to get Chinese on the east side of Bay City.

I have been eating here since I moved to the area and honestly, it is the chinese place that my last few towns have been missing. Of course, this isn't gourmet or anything, but at the same time everything I have ordered has tasted good and seems fresh. I get the almond chicken medium spicy with water chesnuts. Also, the hot and sour is pretty great. My only complaint is that the restaurant still feels like a Texan inside, but meh, just get carryout. Tastes great and no cowboy hat required.

Loved them before the move, not so much since. They now have smaller portions for take out, and consistancy in the food taste is not there any more. It's the "best" we have on this side of town. I'm not a fan of their rice, it seems that would be one thing that they would use top quality ingredients for. Tastes like instant rice. I asked if they carried brown rice the lady said no. Come on people, give us the tools to make better/healthier choices!

This is now my favorite Chinese buffet, not counting the Mongolian part of Chens in Saginaw. The buffet items were all very good. Not the basic quick made get it out there stuff but more like what you'd get if you ordered your own dish of it. There were only a couple deep fried dishes unlike other buffets which are almost totally deep fried. The salad bar consisted of lettuce with two dressings and there was only a couple dessert items. Focus is on the actual Chinese dishes. The dining area was nothing special. It was clean so what else do you need. Don't sit by the big windows if the cold bothers you. I could feel it coming right through. I was told the food used to be even better but I was happy with it now. Will be back.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
