Forget Olive Garden... VILLA RULES!! I am 30 years old now and I have been frequenting this place with my family since I was a wee little baby. I have never had a disappointing meal here. The service is usually quick and the staff is friendly. Favorite items: linguini and clam sauce beef ravioli antipasto salad cannoli

Since reading about this place here on Yelp, I've now been there three times and can't say enough about how awesome this place is. It's reasonably priced, the staff is awesome and the food is just stellar. You get bread and salad (or soup, I think) to start. If you order the salad, you MUST get the house dressing! It's incredible. So far the appetizers we've gotten have been the calamari (classic and good), the baked meatballs (delicious and, according to my meatball obsessed boyfriend "the best meatballs on the planet") and the mozzarella marinara, which is essentially a deep fried chuck of mozzarella covered in marinara sauce that puts every fried cheese stick you've ever had to shame. I hear their pizzas are good, but haven't tried them yet as I can't quite stop ordering the parmigianas. Whether it's of the veal, chicken or eggplant variety, Villa knows just how to do it right. In conclusion: if you're in the mood for real (read: not olive garden) Italian, hit up the villa.

I decided to try this place after reading all the great reviews. My husband and I ordered the Tony's favorites plate. It came with lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and veal parm. The alfredo was so bland and boring. The lasagna had a weird taste to it and I couldn't eat more than a couple bites. The veal was decent. The food was very mediocre for the prices they charge. We won't be coming back again

I had a pretty good meal here. I ordered pasta carbonara (which was a special), calamari and salad with the famous House dressing. The salad was excellent and the much-lauded dressing was very tasty. The carbonara was rich and creamy with huge chunks of bacon in it and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The calamari was just alright, also they gave us cocktail sauce as a dip instead of the more traditional marinara sauce--that was kinda weird. We got carry out and they gave us lots of bread, breadsticks, parmesan cheese and butter free of charge. Didn't have to wait long for our order either! The inside is cute and clean and the waitstaff was very polite. If you are looking for good Italian food on the east side, give this place a try!

The Olive Garden, Italian? That's like saying Burger King is a steakhouse. Villa is old school Italian, like your parents enjoyed. Veal dishes, pasta dishes, all in covered in the "red gravy". Still very reasonably priced, the Veal Marsala is quite tasty as is the baked "Villa Special". Canolis are made to order and really yummy. The only drawback was the music was extremely loud So all of you Olive Gardeners don't come here, anyone who enjoys old school Italian "Mangia"

This is my favorite restaurant. I.have eaten here my whole life. It's the place we go to for birthdays, Christmas, mothers day and just when we want.delicious pasta or pizza. This place puts The Olive Garden in the dumpster.

Best authentic Italian food ever. This is definitely a family favorite. Our family has been going here for decades....never had a bad dish. I recommend the combination plates. I really enjoy the 333 combo; 3 cheese ravioli, 3 meat ravioli and 3 cannelloni. It is so good. The fresh baked bread and breadsticks are the best! You can tell it is all homemade and definitely made with love!

My Parents & Grandparents first took me to the VILLA in the 1960's and I have repeated the treat with my children & grandchildren presently! Even today you can get the wonderful Villa Special which is your favorite pasta noodle ,choice of sauce, baked on mozzarrella & mushrooms, soup or salad and a bread basket with bread sticks for less than $8.99 And the House Dressing will dance on your tongue and bring you back! and versus the flavorless high end chains the service is quick the kitchen usually puts out your entree fresh in less than 15 minutes and there is usually 1-2 of the owners nearby to make sure everyone is HAPPY! PS the VILLA has "WON" awards for being the cleanest in the COUNTY If you wanna spend $2- $3 more try the lasagna or a combo! See you at 8 & Gratiot Paisano!

I don't hand out 5 stars too much. But I love this place. Never had a bad meal, always good service, and reasonably priced to boot. There are plenty of Italian joints to choose from, but The Villa is always at the top of my list. Family owned and operated for way longer than I've been alive, they take seriously their history. Not being able to pick "one" favorite, I can say I've tried all the available pasta dishes and they were all top notch. I am partial to Alfredo pasta, and theirs is beautiful. If you're an eggplant lover, they have one of the best Parmesan eggplant dishes we have tasted. The plates come pretty full so you will get your money's worth. The bottom line is if you are looking for a good Italian restaurant give this place a try.

Despite the good reviews I went in expecting it to be not all that amazing, and I was pleasantly suprised. The ambiance is a kitchy kind of Italian and I don't think the place has been updated in years, but it grows on you. For food we started off with salad that came with our entrees and had the house dressing. The house dressing is ACTUALLY made in house (a concept that seems lost on a lot of restaurants now days) and was delicious. It was an italian type dressing with herbs and fresh parmesan. They brought a complimentary bread basket to the table as well. For our entrees we both created our own pasta. My date had spagetti with melted cheese and mushrooms, and I had linguini with tomato basil sauce and mushrooms. The past was enough to feed an army, and it was perfectly cooked. The sauces were both very flavorful, the mushrooms were actually fresh and flavorful, and I appreciated that I didn't find the sauce to be sweet, poorly seasoned, or oily. It was everything a good tomato sauce should be and there was actual fresh basil in my sauce. While our meals cost about 11 each I'd say next time we could back and split something to be more economical. I'd really love to try one of their other delicious options too.

This place is the real frickin' deal! Find it when you are in the area. We were totally out of our stomping groungs and I turned to YELP for recommendations on where to eat. Unassuming exterior, small parking area and rear door entrance, had me uncertain we would stay, but we decided to give it a try based on the 4+ stars from each reviewer. With a warm greeting from our server, Val, we quickly settled and dug in. Ordering the fried cheese raviolis for an appetizer, Veal Parm dinner, and Lasagna for my husband. FAB-U-LOUS! The cream Italian-type house dressing on the dinner salad is as good as everyone says it is. The entrees were spot on - well done. But I still can't get over those frickin' fried raviolis! They had to be handmade and were perfect. I am about to drive out to Eastpointe again, just for the raviolis! Saying that service was great is an understatement. I play a little game with my husband, of what waitstaff I would steal and from where if we ever opened up an eatery and Val is now on my list. Professional, attentive, personable, and she clearly loves Villa and the restaurant family. I sent the poor woman on an impossible mission when I asked if the Italian Lemon Ice I wanted for dessert was dairy-free. (I was just curious) It was the perfect topper to an excellent meal. My husband loved his strawberry cheesecake. Can't wait to go back.

The Villa is one of those hidden gems in the Metro area and I almost don't want to clue anyone else into it . If you want a family-friendly Italian place with reasonable prices and great food, this is it. I've never had a bad meal here, and they have specials most days of the week. All of the pastas are great, and the pizza is an unexpected winner. They treat my little one like a princess, and we've been lucky enough to snag some Groupons/DealChicken coupons. We've tried a bunch of other places around and the quality has eventually fallen off, making us try something else -- The Villa is rock solid and all the food is great and we always know to expect a tasty meal. Is it fancy, does it have a strolling accordion player? No. Can you get a solid plate of ravioli or gnocchi, or an amazing pizza and antipasto salad? Yes! Make sure you get the house dressing or even upgrade to an antipasto salad -- it's worth it. We love this place and the staff and the food, and now I'm hungry for The Villa again.

WOW!!!!!!! This place has been here forever, never been, but after reading all the great yelp reviews we had to try it out! Parking is a bit tricky on the weekends, but do not let that discourage you. We went on a Friday night, 6:30, expecting a huge wait. It was busy, but we were able to be seated right away. We asked our server what she recommended, and she said "Everything is great, and fresh. If you order chicken or veal it will be fresh, not a processed piece of meat!" I'm sold! :-) The Hubs and I had a VERY VERY hard time picking what we wanted! Everything sounds delicious!! We kept peeking at the food being delivered, and once we saw a dish it would make us change our mind again and again. Our meals came with soup or salad. Hubs had minestrone soup. Yummy! Homemade! I was like eat soup Grandma (not mine, cause she was a horrible cook) made! Hubs inhaled it! I had the salad with their house-made dressing! I am a huge fan of Olive Garden dressing......this puts it to shame!! They need to sell it, if they don't already!! It was creamy, seasoned very well, with a bit of tang, but not overpowering with vinegar! I could have just had a salad and been super satisfied! Dinner: Hubs had the Gnocchi and Ravioli (meat) Combo with meat sauce. I didn't know you could get that much filling into a ravioli! They were HUGE! It looks liked a meat ball shoved into ravioli dough! The meat actually had flavor and seasoning to it! Very good! Gnocchi was also great!! I ended up getting the mostacholi with meat sauce, and I added two meatballs. (You can't go to a good Italian joint and not get a meatball!!) Meatballs were super!! Good seasoning, juicy (not greasy), and a perfect size. The meat sauce was very nice, and of course there was enough for two!! Next time we are looking forward to trying the veal or chicken picatta, or Marsala, or Parmesan. I cannot wait to go back!! Keep up the great work!!

Went here 5 times and the first couple of times the food was Great! Tried their pizza and it was worse than cardboard pizza from the frozen section in the grocery store....threw it out. The spaghetti was really crunchy and I was told they make it that way all the time and if I want it really cooked so it would not crunch...then to tell them to cook it well done??? Really?? NEVER been so disappointed in what was a nice place service wise and the food the last 3 times was absolutely the worst. I will never go back.

I was treating a friend of 30 years for his 69th birthday, so I wanted to pick out a great restaurant near his house, I used YELP. Villa was listed as number 1 out of 74 restaurants in Eastpointe. A lot of reviews said it was so much better than all the Italian chain restaurants, so I was very hopeful. We arrived at Villa's about 5:15 PM, it was mostly empty. Our drink orders were taken. The bread that was brought was tasteless, like store bought, not warm or fresh. Pretzels were hard as a rock. We ordered Calamari for an appetizer. Big mistake. The smallest Calamari you will ever see in your lifetime. They were tiny, over fried and tasteless. The only reason we ate about half of them was the marinara sauce with them was pretty good. We had a choice between soup or salad. I choose the Minestrone soup. They brought my friends salad, which was good sized. He didn't say anything about the taste, so I am assuming it was ok. My soup turned out to be a small cup. It had a lot of vegetables, but no flavor. Probably frozen. I added salt and it was ok. Then our entrée's came. My friend had the Walleye and it came with a side plate of spaghetti with marinara sauce. He finished it all and said it was good. I had "Tony Favorites" A trio of Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal Parmesan and Lasagna. The Fettuccine was ok, I have had better, the Veal was dry and as I was finishing it I noticed it was very dark (freezer burn perhaps?) Didn't tastes all the good, and the lasagna was ok. They put on a whole handful of powdered cheese on top of the Lasagna. Some of the Lasagna pasta was over cooked and I had to spit it out because it was un-chewable. The waitress remarked that I was the first person she had ever seen finish (she didn't notice a quarter of the lasagna was spit out on my plate) "Tony's Favorite's Trio". I wasn't surprised. I hadn't eaten all day, but the previous patrons didn't finish because of the quality and taste was lacking. I had mentioned to the waitress a couple times that it was my friend's birthday, so she did wish him a happy birthday, before she picked up the payment for the check. I was disappointed they didn't comp the cannoli he took home for his birthday desert. Normally I would give a restaurant a second chance, thinking they had a bad night, but everything was so sub standard, I won't be back. The food was "edible". The service was adequate. I think the waitress has been working too long as a waitress. No enthusiasm, not overly friendly or the least bit interested in the food she serves. I'm sorry to report that Olive Garden is 10 times better than this place.

We checked out this classic Italian restaurant after seeing all the great reviews here on Yelp. The restaurant is noisy and casual - perfect for a low key family dinner. And that's what we were, a family of 4 including a one year old. The waitress was pleasant, if a little slow. I'm happy to note that they had clean high chairs and were fine with our one year old joining the meal. We started out with bread, which was ok - not great. I was disappointed not to see olive oil or vinegar. The salad, which followed, had a delicious house dressing. The three meals we ordered were tasty. The chicken parmesan was the best of the entrees. I tasted my husbands fettucine alfredo and found it a little more mildly flavored than I prefer. I had a platter of pasta with marinara sauce. It was very solid, but not the best I've ever had. Overall, it was a good experience. If I was in the neighborhood, I'd go back, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

This afternoon, I opened by my Villa carryout box and said "Yum!" The food is great but a fabulous dining experience is just not about the culinary piece, it is about an attentive wait staff, a 'home like environment' and relaxing setting. I always enjoy eating at the Villa. The affordable, delicious food and the great company with my husband and our friends make a great evening. The service is always spot on. Of all the nice places in Detroit to eat, this is probably our favorite.

Well, I read the other reviews. My review is not favorable. After being squished into a booth with a chair on the end for 5 people, our waitress, Sue, took the menus from across the table and dumped the bottle of wine which stained my sweater, blouse and scarf. She clearly did not clear the bottle of wine. When I spoke with the owner, she claimed it was "an accident." Offered to pay for the cleaning, however, was on the side of the waitress. Will not return to this joint. Actually, the food is not that good. And, the service stinks. There is no minus 10 on the stars!!

I absolutely love this family owned and operated Italian restaurant! I had the gnocchi and (meat) ravioli. This had to be the best meat ravioli I ever had. My wife had the manicotti and my son had the spaghetti and meatball. We all lived our meals. For desert, I had the most delicious tiramisu, my wife had spumoni amaretto cheesecake, and my son had the spumoni ice cream. They have a great wine and drink collection as well. This is the place to go on the East side if you want REAL Italian cuisine. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back!

This place is such a staple, I know Eastpointe is the new Detroit ghetto but do not let that discourage you from going here. We had our small wedding reception hete and everyone loved the family style pastas, antipasto salads with unbelievable homemade dressing sent from heaven, and delicious perfectly cooked pizza. This is the second best pizza I've ever had and now that I'm vegan, I miss it constantly. A must for that old school Italian restaurant feel.

Amazing. Have been here about 6 or more times. Never had a bad dinner. They must make their own pasta. The deep dish pizza was great, as is their house dressing. Cozy and friendly place I highly suggest for a Italian family style ristorante.

I rarely visit the East Side of the Metro area, but if I was nearby I would definitely stop at Villa Restaurant. With the rise of chains and fast food, quality, cheap, Italian food seems to have disappeared over the years. Villa is an oasis in the desert of boring food where one can get good italian food for a good price. The menu consists of pasta and specialty meat dishes. The cheapest option is to pick a pasta and pair it with a number of different sauces. There are also some combination plates and then the more expensive typical big Italian dishes. I tried the cheese ravioli and gnocci with the palmino (pink) sauce. I thought the sauce was excellent, one of the best sauces I've had in a long time. The gnocci was a little doughy and chewy, but the ravioli was good. The entree comes with soup or salad. I recommend the house dressing which was a fabulous creamy garlic Italian dressing. A bread basket is also included which I tend to expect from a nice restaurant. The atmosphere is casual, nice and clean. The service was decent but not memorable. The music featured such Italian favorites as "Mambo Italiano" and "Funniculi, Funnicula" to give you an idea. Overall, a very good experience with good Italian food.

My brother and his family have been going to the Villa for many years, raving to me about the yummy food and wonderful owners and staff. I recently went there with them, assuming my standard "artsy Auntie" role and hung back a bit while they conversed with the waitress and other patrons. I suppose I subconsciously assumed that they wouldn't relate so well to a quirky chick like me, but by the time we left I felt like I was very welcome. Our waitress was going through something and briefly shared a bit about it, and we gave her little moments of love and support as she ran around tending her tables. You'll feel like you're at a favorite relative's house, food and all. It's not all gourmet'ed out but it's tasty, very inexpensive, and you'll likely leave with leftovers. Go back again and you'll be greeted by folks who'll remember you. A treasure.

Can't consider this a 5 star just because the restaurant is a tad outdated, but the food and service makes up for it. I've had a few different things from here, but my old trusty dish is the cheese rav with alfredo sauce. So delish! Oh and the meatballs here are some of the best in the business (this is coming from someone who works at an Italian restaurant.) I could literally just get and order of them and eat that. Service has always been consistent and food is priced good!

There aren't many good Italian restaurants in Macomb County, except for this one. Skip the Olive Garden and go to The Villa. The prices are much more reasonable, and the food tastes better and original. They have awesome pizza and desserts. I usually get the pasta or eggplant. Love it!

Last night we decided to try the Villa, at the urging of fellow Yelpers. Tucked along Gratiot Ave., the Villa is a charming, small place with parking and entrance located in the back. We were shown to a booth right away and our server was a tiny, older woman who'd probably been working there since the beginning. She didn't seem that enthusiastic about waiting tables, but I'd be thrilled if I just woke up every morning at her age. I decided on the Eggplant Parmigiana with a side of spaghetti and antipasto salad. Our waitress brought a nice bread basket with good sliced Italian bread and sesame breadsticks. The antipasto salad was good, generous slices of ham, salami and provolone cheese - I have to agree with Ron C., their house Italian dressing was really good. It looked like a creamy Italian (which I'm not too crazy about) but didn't taste too creamy; lots of herbs and garlic... delicious! Our entrées were brought to the table in perfect time, just after we had finished our salads and not during (which I totally hate!). My plate was piled high with slices of eggplant, covered in a rich tomato sauce and melted cheese; the side plate of spaghetti marinara was also generous! I sprinkled on some parmesan and got to work. The eggplant was delicious, soft but not mushy, and the sauce was rich with hunks of tomatoes. My friend ordered the combination plate of spaghetti with meat sauce and meat stuffed ravioli - I got to taste the ravioli and it was delicious... flavorful with lots of herbs; the pasta tasted homemade and was cooked to perfection. Totally too much to eat; I was hoping to take it home and have lunch the next day... But when the waitress came to clear the table, she didn't ask if I wanted to take the rest and stacked the plates ON TOP of my food before I could say anything; I just kept quiet at that point but I was really disappointed. There was quite a lot left on my place... 1/2 the spaghetti and at least 4 slices of eggplant. 4 Stars for the food and 0 Stars for the service.

We had the best pasta carbonara at Villa, tonight. This is a classic Italian pasta that you cannot find at too many Italian restaurants, and the folks at Villa did it up right (and at an amazing price.) We appreciated the amazing martini menu too-don't miss the tiramisu and pineapple upside down martinis!

Our new fave! Great lasagna and the house dressing for salads is perfect! Service is pretty quick and polite as well. Just park in back but yes that can be limited during PRIME hours.

My father and I were super hungry after work and went one yelp to find this as our top pick. We never heard of the place and I am very ashamed of that. This place is amazing and very roomy. The lights are perfectly dimmed, you actually have good butter for the bread basket, and the food is homemade. I ordered the chicken with melted Parmesan on top and it was amazing. It was super juicy and the side of spaghetti really made everything come together. Also, I recommend getting the garlic bread! It is super good and makes Texas toast look bad. Look forward to going back and this time I want to order the "Tonys Trio."

Based on reviews from other Yelpers, I was super excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. I ordered a fish that cake with fettuccini Alfredo, chicken Parm, & lasagna. The house dressing was, in fact, very good. Everything else was just okay. My husband had the soup, which was barely luke warm. The flavors of my dishes weren't very well developed, nor was the food hot enough. I won't be returning.

Delicious sauce, great salads, bread fresh. A few times the meatballs were salty. Parking is horrid and dont park in front. Not the most delightful area of town.

There is a reason why this place has been in business for as long as it has. If you come here you will understand, as others already do, that this is THE best Italian restaurant on the east side, possibly all of SE Michigan. I've been coming here for years now and for years before that I would go to places like Olive Garden and always feel like there was something missing. Not that anyone should brag to their friends about going to the Denny's of Italian food, but endless salad and breadsticks isn't what i'm showing up for in the first place. When you first walk in you can imagine yourself in a scene from Goodfella's, if only because the decor is quite a bit like the restaurant from that movie, and they unapologetically play tunes from the movie's soundtrack in the background. It makes for an ambiance that nobody can even get close to. This time around I had something off of the Special's Menu, which is different for the days of the week. I opted for the Tony's Favorites, which included; Fettuccine Alfredo, Veal Parmesan and Lasagne al Forno (pic uploaded). Everything was spot-on and there was, as always, too much to eat. Starting with the salad, you have to get the House Dressing. I'm not sure how to describe it - almost a creamy Italian, but not? Anyway it only has one rival in my opinion and that's at Loui's Pizza in Hazel Park. Regardless, get the House Dressing. And yes, before you ask, there were breadsticks and some amazing bread as well. Service is always good, even when it gets busy. Get some Lemon Ice or Spumoni Ice Cream (it's Stroh's), you won't regret it. Mangia!

Amazing place! One of the best when it comes to Italian! This place has been in business for a very long time and it comes as no surprise! I ordered Tonys Italian Favorites off the dinner specials menu and it was to die for! The lasagna, veal Parmesan, and fettuccine Alfredo is an awesome combination. The garden salad with the house dressing is a must!

A little deceiving from the outside, delicious on the inside. Salad with the house dressing was great, however, get the dressing on the side. Pizza was perfectly cooked, and tasty. We also ordered the meat ravioli, mmm, so good and fresh. The sauce was everything is should be at an Italian joint. They are great with kids here, very family friendly. The service was impeccable and quick.

It was a Sunday night and we wanted some pasta. Instead of going to Olive Garden, we decided to give this place a try due to the positive yelp reviews. Unfortunately everything was just alright. Food was alright. The soup was bland. Better breadsticks at Olive Garden and I would say, service is better there as well. Our server, was rude and unattentive. As it came time for me to order, I wanted the canneloni and raveoli pasta combo. As i was reading the name pointing to it, she interrupted me and said, "soup or salad.." and she ended up giving me the wrong order. Also my brother in law specifically asked for no onions or peppers in his sandwich, and of course, there were onions and peppers in his sandwich. Our small cups of water were empty and when she finally came back, we asked for refills. She came back with a pitcher of water and set it at the table and left. Never came back to check on us or to see how we were doing. Very poor customer service. Positive thing i would say is, their canneloni was good. Sauce isn't amazing, but it's alright. Other than that...I think we'll be going to Olive Garden next time we want pasta.

Thank you so very much to a fellow yelper for turning me on to this little gem!! Got a message about it Friday, and as it happened to be, I was going to be in that area Friday night so I got my BF and my BFF and her fiance and we all gave it a go... This place could become one of my new go-to faves, legit. We got there at 8pm on Friday night, no call-ahead. Parking lot looked pretty busy so we crossed our fingers and went in. Place was hoppin' alright, but I wasn't worried. The host said, "Give me a few minutes please..." and then right away said "...oh never mind that, we have booths in the back by the bar". Cool, lead the way!! We were seated along the bar area, which is nice, because the main dining room had a lot of families (good sign). We didn't have any kids with us, so the bar area definitely suited us better. Villa is family owned, and has been around for quite some time, so going in, I knew they were doing something right. Wine prices are great!!! Actually, ALL the prices are great!!! I couldn't believe someone actually reviewed that this place was "pricey".... Where??? The most expensive thing was still cheaper than most shitty chain restaurants, and this place had REAL Italian food to boot. I saw they had amogue on the menu, and just about died of happiness. For those of you who don't know what amogue (some spell it amoglio) is, it's basically Italian salsa, and it's super delicious!!! Tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and Italian herbs... that's all it takes. Val was our waitress, and she is a DOLL!!!! Loved her! We kept her quite entertained all evening I must say!! So, after wine, and beer, and warm, fresh bread and dipping oil, then we move to cheesy pizza bread with the amogue Val said people don't ask for amogue with the cheese bread.... OMG, DO THAT!!!! Seriously, it's so yummy!! We devoured that, fighting over the last piece, and then it was on to dinner. BF had the carbonara on special. BFF had the steak Siciliano, her fiance had the Pasta Joe's, and I had the manicotti palmino. Dinners come with soup or salad, BF had the minestrone, I had salad and so did the other 2. They brought out a little bottle of the house dressing for salad. Damn that shit is GOOD!!!! I loved it!! We kept the bottle at our table the whole night! BF said the soup was delish, and it had lots in it. Dinners came out and we were getting full and having a great time at that point. Everyone loved their meals, except the BFF. She thought the breading on the steak Siciliano was a little bland and heavy. To be fair, we all tried it, and it was just OK. Personally, I don't like breaded steak or hamburger anyway, so I knew I wouldn't like it. That was honestly the ONLY even partial complaint anyone had the whole meal. It truly was really great and we closed the place! Thank you again to yelpers who look out and suggest great places. I never would have known about Villa and how awesome it is!! We will be back... SOON!! Go see Val, and by all means, TRY the amogue!!! /Famiglia!!!!

Excellent authentic Italian cooking. The owner, Loretta, is friendly and helpful. Our favorite waitress, Mary, is the sweetest and can remember what we drink and like to order. The food is the closest to my wife's cooking, and that is a compliment!!

SERVICE: Awesome service from everyone except for Paula.....avoid her like the plague. Surly, curt and terse every time I've had her 'service'. Just ask for ANYONE other than Paula.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
