In Detroit, I only go to Pizza Papalis, and Buddy's, but my daughter can't have tomato sauce on her pizza, so we go with a white sauce (alfredo). The other guys didn't do it, so we started calling around using, of course, Yelp. I searched on "white sauce" and this place popped up. We were pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were delicious, and are now part of my trio for Detroit Pizza's. I'm sorry to say, but Chicago is #2. Detroit has the best pizza in the world.

Pizza is really good. 3 stars because of a lady who takes orders over the phone is pretty rude. I should say unprofessional. Seems like she is making u a favor taking order. I enjoyed xl pizza a lot but next one i ordered xxl disappoints. Amount of indigrents seems to be same on both sizes. Xxl had lots of dought only.

My Beau and I were craving pizza and didn't want the usual pizza chains. I did some searching on yelp and found Sicily's. We were feeling really lazy and decide to order some delivery. I used the EatStreet app to order the food. We ordered the large hawaiian pizza and it came in about 40 minutes. The pizza was still warm and it was delicious. I usually despise the crust on most pizzas, but their crust was so delicious. It reminded me of a buttery soft pretzel crust. I will definitely order from here again. I really want to try their other pizzas, lasagna, and pastas.

I've only ordered a pizza (meat lovers) and Texas bread, but I was so unimpressed I will not be ordering from there again. By the time the food got here I had to reheat all of the food. The meat lovers came with ham that looked like thicker pieces of deli meat laid on top. The Texas bread was fine, but nothing to write home about. As a side note, both items came on very thin crust. The only reason why they didn't receive a one star is because, if it weren't for the coldness, I can imagine that others may prefer this pizza style more than I did.

Simply, this is the only place you should order pizza for delivery if you live downtown. I've tried them all and none of the others come close. I'm not sure about the other menu items but if you want a pizza brought to your door, these are your guys. Also, you can order online though grubhub, which is really convenient because you can use paypal.

It's an Italian joint in the middle of Mexicantown. Sure, I'll bite. Sicily's is your "old faithful" neighborhood joint that just has to have good food. I had a hankering for pizza, but once I got in there and saw the variety of menu options, I ended up with a lasagna dinner for just over $8. I got a pretty sizeable portion of lasagna PLUS a side salad AND a nice sized order of garlic bread. It looked and tasted so homemade -- deliciso! I split the meal in half and had enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I can't wait to get back there to try something else! I was the only one in there and it took a while for anyone to tend to me, but the guy was very friendly and took good care of me.

I got Lasagna to go. It was good, and the portion size was more than enough. Plus they give you a salad and some very tasty garlic bread. The employee was very friendly, and service was fast. I'll be back to try the pizza.

Probably the best pizza joint in the area. Not much I can add to other reviews. Great flavor on the crust. Just great Pizza.

Ordered this pizza delivered to our hotel room. Really good bready style pizza. Pretty fast delivery in what turned out was not super close to downtown Detroit, but the pizza was still hot when it arrived. Friendly driver, would eat again.

Sicily's is your place if you're looking for tasty pizza at a decent price. They're friendly, fast, and delicious. This is not the deep dish, Buddy's or Jet's style square that is so common around Detroit. Just a typical round pie, crust that is not too thin & crispy, but just substantial enough, without filling you up too fast. They offer an all-the-time large pizza pick-up special, $5.99 for a large with 2 toppings. They're so fast, just fork over the extra buck and get yourself a pizza far superior to the - *shudder* - dreaded, cardboard tasting Hot n' Readys. The cheese and sauce for the pizza is fresh and tasty. They offer a number of speciality pizzas - California Garlic and Shrimp Lovers are my favorites, as they feature a yummy white alfredo-like sauce. The Greek Pizza is full of fresh toppings, but is overall a little too dry for my tastes. If it's a sandwich you're looking for, I recommend bypassing the subs (not bad, but nothing special - on a rather boring sesame sub bun) and going for a calzone, which are hot, cheesy, and large enough to save the second half for lunch the next day. They're open pretty late too - til 1:00 on weekends.

pleasantly good common-man's pizza. Very fast, very friendly, and FRESH mushrooms! This places is all aces. Phoned in a pick-up order at 6:30pm and it was ready in 10 minutes. A small pizza is about the size of a large dinner plate, which breaks down into 6 kinda small slices all of which will comfortably satiate one individual (unless your capacity to consume pizza knows no bounds). It was just over $6. The pizza is really good so long as we're making comparisons within the arena of common-man's pizza. The kind you're not impressing a date with, but that you're bringing to the sports/dude event, feeding the kids with, or just in need of a quick pizza fix after work. No gorganzola & fig combos here (not that I don't get down with fancy pizza - it's just not to be found here), only your typical toppings and combos. Their mushrooms are FRESH which is such a plus - too many michigan pizza joints are using the canned mushrooms which are like eating drain plugs. Also, their pepperoni taste pretty flavorful and the oven temperatures are high enough to make everything just a little crispy around the edges which i like. Low oven temps make the pepperoni fat render too much and then you've got wet, greasy pizza. Not here. Only thing that didn't impress was the crust - as ignorable as the backside of school bus seating. They sell wings and hot subs (which looked fantastic coming out of the oven), and I'd try those out next time. If you're looking for fast American style pizza made with good ingredients and at a cheap price, this is it.

This is the best pizza in Mexicantown. Magic trio of pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers is outstanding!

This is probably one of the best places to get pizza in "the D." When I lived in the city I would get take out from here at least once a month. I was caught once saying "This is the best pizza outside of Italy." Maybe I was exaggerating, but it is really good. It has a nice thin crust that is not so common around here. but it's no too crispy. It is a good consistency. The cheese is never overdone either, but it always seems to have the perfect amount of toppings. Sauce is good, not too sweet. It is the type of pizza i really look forward to eating. I usually ordered salads and they were always great with salad dressing that tasted homemade. The ranch is so good. They are nice there too. It is a quick take out place even if you are just a walk in (rather than call in advance).

There are a lot of so-so pizza joints in the SW Detroit area, but Sicily's is usually my go-to place when I want something good, inexpensive and fast and I don't feel like leaving my neighborhood. The pizza is a good, but I actually prefer their baked subs which are really good and a lot better than Subway. Try the NY Steak & Cheese or Chicken Fajita sub! Their super-hot wings are very good also. They also have calzones which I have yet to try, as well as a few other Italian dinner items like lasagna and chicken parm. I've been ordering from this place for years and the service has always been excellent and the food consistently good.

great food, great price, super fast delivery! the menu is great - something for everyone! i'd give Sicily's 3 thumbs up if i had another hand! on a side note - they run your cc at the door so you don't have to worry about giving your # out over the phone - i appreciate that.
