Most of my reviews are of slices during lunch time... I travel all over Michigan for my job and that's what I look for when hustling lunch (because I am a fat glutton who absolutely loves pizza, especially square slices during the day) I had to go out this way to meet a client so I looked it up on Yelp... tons of great reviews so I went to go get my lunch on....the cat running the place (Bob?) was super cool... decided to take my debit card even though there was like a $10 minimum or something.... the slices were out of this world, super huge, super guey super messy.... I had a blast. (12 napkins award!) I had a fantastic lunch from Bob's and I'm really looking forward to going back. FYI-Lot's of bullet proof glass & the huge sign out front looks like it got hit by an RPG. Gotta love the D.

My husband always brings me here when we visit Detroit. The pizza and the chicken are really good. Although the chicken is good, it is a little salty for me...but for some strange reason I still like it. My husband grew up on this place so he always comes when ever he can get a chance to come home. Bob's is a neighborhood favorite for all the locals. If you make it to Detroit...make it to Bob's Pizza Palace.

True story, Bob's and the old "Pal's" on 7-Mile are the pizza's that Domino's and Little Caesars were born from. Pal's is long gone, but Bob's still going strong. Talk about dedication to the neighborhood! I was eating Bob's in the early 70's, maybe as far back as the late 60's. My family always ordered pizza once or twice a week and I was weened on this great pizza. When I'm back to Detroit, I brave the bullet proof glass and the scary run-down "hood" (just your typical Detroit neighborhood) I used to call home, to order one of these savory pies. Everything is five star from the chewy crisp crust, ample cheese, just the right amount of sauce and delicious ham and pepperoni and mushrooms all combined and cooked to ultra - perfection. Noone can cook pizza to the correct doneness, but Bob's. If you are any where near Detroit, CHECK IT OUT!

The pizza was amazing and great tasting. The fried shrimp were fried perfectly and seasoned to perfection.

Personally, I don't get the hype. Maybe it's because the pizza reminds me of Papa Johns with these disgusting pepperonis with the rinds on it. I'd rather go to Buddy's.

Excellent pizza! I have relatives in Chicago that rave about this pizza! I've had friends from Europe found it delicious! I've traveled the world and none can top it! Just try it... You'll see!

One of the few places that I've been in Michigan where the pizza reminds me of the slices you can get in NYC. The extra large pizza is about the size of a New York style pizza. It's a good change of pace from the Hungry Howies, Pizza Hut and Jets Pizza restaurants around town.

While it's nice to have a locally owned option, Bobs pizza is mediocre, prices sorta high, and rarely is ready on time. I ordered from them for months, and while think they are better than the lousy competition in the area, would much rather drive a bit further for better pizza.

Readers, I must be honest with you first. I do not frequent Bob's Pizza Palace as much as I probably should. Yes, I know I am giving them five stars, and it was difficult for me to come to that conclusion, considering there is a Happy's about three blocks away that I frequent, as well. True story: when I was 15, I was walking back from Bob's one night. The Happy's I spoke of is actually closer to me, so I had to walk past Happy's to get to Bob's (talk about dedication, but at the time Happy's was still new to the neighborhood). So, as I was walking back (they both are even on the same side of the street), a guy that worked at Happy's saw me with my Bob's pizza and my 2-liter Faygo. He tapped on the window, I looked back, and he signaled at a pizza box he was holding. I looked back at him, smiled, and kept walking (it was too cold and dark outside for me not to). At any rate, I have been going to Bob's for quite some time, and I must say that I have never been disappointed. They have some of the best pizza in the neighborhood, and it seems you get more for your money there than you would anywhere else. In fact, their medium is about the size of most pizzerias' large. And, as a bonus, they still offer deals where you get a free 2-liter Faygo with your purchase, if you order pickup. Hands down, I would recommend this pizzeria to anyone in the area, and even some out of the area.
