Very good food, I like that they offered halal meat, and the atmosphere was very tasteful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I can't remember what me or my husband ordered, which makes me feel like we must not have been that moved by our food. The chocolate layer cake was really good!

Paul was our server and he was excellent. We happened upon this place after the Henry Ford Museum and enjoyed our experience. We had the grill cheese and the lamb pizza to share plus half rack of ribs. I recommend them. Entrees are a la carte ($20-36) per with sides ranging from $8-12. Good for casual dining also, burgers, fries and happy hour drink and appetizer specials 4-6 pm.

+ excellent breakfast buffet, great service - omelette station starts late I've had the breakfast buffet at Tria several times over the years I have stayed a The Henry and each time is does not disappoint. For hot food, they have thick cut bacon, sausage

Located within the beautifully-appointed The Henry hotel, Tria was a convenient mid-point to meet for lunch. It had been a few months since we last caught up so we jumped from topic to topic while making our final lunch selections from the digital menu. One thing was certain: dessert was a must today. I started with a larger-than-expected side salad of field greens, cucumbers and grape tomatoes, topped with crumbled bacon and blue cheese in light vinaigrette. The combination was delicious. Equally delicious, fun and surprising was the basket of piping-hot popovers served with the meal, along with two types of butter. As entrée, I went with the Apple-encrusted Whitefish. The perfectly-prepared fish was subtly flavored and served with these amazing crispy Brussels sprouts. The smashed potato was uninspired when compared to the rest of the dish. I was quite full by the time we ordered dessert but was glad that I forged on. I had set my sights on the 12 Sisters chocolate cake as soon as I saw it. Twelve alternating layers of chocolate and white chiffon cakes and dark and white chocolate icing made for an arresting sight. With a liquor-infused ice cream gelato dusted with cocoa and a sugar-spun dish filled with berries, dessert was incredible. I foresee more lunches here, as long as they keep serving popovers. Service was fine. Be sure to take a moment (or more) to view the large art collection at this hotel. No matter how often I am here, the collection quite takes my breath away.

I have begun to eat here several times each week, sometime for both lunch and dinner, as I am in Detroit for work so regularly. TRIA has a daily "chalkboard" of specials and no lack of steady options on their menu. The iPad-like menu allows you to tap on a menu item and see what the dish would look like prior to ordering which helps if you're one of the kind of eaters who likes to eat with their eyes and their mouths! I say this because TRIA is strong on food presentation. The staff are absolutely amazing. I experience true hospitality at TRIA and I feel it is a genuine interaction with the patrons. Food is great and worth the cost. The atmosphere, even on the busiest of days, is never too noisy to have a quiet, personal conversation with someone at your table. And I can't stress enough how awesome the staff is, especially the team at the bar!

How luxurious this restaurant is!! I want to hire the interior designer for myself. Located inside the Henry hotel, we walked in and were greeted by a man with a top hat. Yes, I love that!! So our hostess was kind of taken aback that we didn't have reservations, ok at 6:30pm I understand but the place was not that full. Taken to our table, we had the most pleasant funniest waiter...Alan. Oh man that bread that is brought out, superb. Flaky, and not doughy, delish. Couldn't put my finger on what exactly the butters were made of? One was sweet and the other my friend said tasted like salmon? Nonetheless, bread and butter is my guilty pleasure. Can eat all day every day if it wasn't so bad for you. I ordered the cirocoritta martini, tasted so good and made strong the way I like it. Being that we weren't that hungry, I ordered the Margherita bread and my friend ordered the fruit platter. Bread tasted ok, came out cold and would've liked more cheese on it. After our little pic at food, I ordered the creme brûlée....amazing. Thin dish is what I like. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items. Maybe be strong enough to finally try oysters!!

We arrived with a group of 17... It was a mixed group of people grandparents, little kids and I'm betweens. We all found something great to eat. Our table ordered the pork platter, steak frites, small bites, appetizers, soups and salads. The kids had Mac and cheese plus chicken fingers. No one was disappointed and all was eaten. We wrapped up with the seven sisters cake, flan and lots of other desserts. We also enjoyed wine, craft beers and mixed drinks. No one was disappointed. Our tab was $610 including tax and tip. Good times.

Was at The Henry for a work event, and didn't want to venture out for dinner (7am flights will do that to you). The iPad menu with pics was really cool, and made everything look so good I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up with a french onion soup, Henry salad, and a whitefish taco. The food came out really fast, and everything was delicious. The dressing on the salad was a creamy vinaigrette, excellent. Fish taco had nice flavor, a little smoky. My only complaint about the french onion soup is that I wish it were bigger =p Some of the best hotel food I've had. Reasonable prices. Friendly bartenders too, I ate at the bar.

My wife and I were looking for a place to relax before a nearby massage and I came across TRIA as I searched the Internet. The menu looked tasty and some what upscale, so I decided to make a reservation. Upon arrival, we were met by valet, which was helpful due to the cold weather. Walking in the receptionist greeted us and showed us to our table. The restaurant was empty for a weeknight evening. We were the only table for at least 15 minutes. The menus are a cool touch as you can touch the screen for a picture and description of what you are looking at. Our waitress was ok at the beginning (more on that), got our drinks and asked if we had questions. We had ordered a flatbread appetizer to share, my wife ordered soup and a salad and I ordered the "Henry" burger. Our waitress stated if it was ok to bring the salad out first and the soup with my entree and we liked that idea. Needless to say, the soup came out first! The tomato soup was very tasty and the bread basket was also pretty good. We waited for a few thinking the flatbread was going to come out next...however, my wife's salad and my burger came out. The salad was like a deconstructed Greek salad and was good. My burger was not the best, it was tasteless. I ordered medium rare and it came medium well. Our waitress never came over and asked how the meal was. As we were almost done with our meal, I told her that we did not get our appetizer but would probably do dessert instead, she told us that she had placed the order and it should be out...weird to have an appetizer after a dinner we thought. She was kind enough to comp the flatbread but brought it out as we said we were all set. All in all, we would give TRIA a second chance but would have to see some improvements. I like the concept, now it just has to be cleaned up around the edges.

This place rocked my world! It is truley a hidden gem. I went here for Valentines Day weekend for dinner and also breakfast. The dinner menu was fixed and it had wonderful options. The service and chefs really know what they are doing. Our breakfast the next morning was just as amazing as the dinner. I will be making a stop here in the future.

My wife and I had dinner here while staying at the Henry and were so glad we did! The service is phenomenal and the food is delicious! Menu is on an iPad with pictures of each item when you click on it which is really helpful when you're deciding what to eat.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Henry while we visited Dearborn. We had breakfast at Tria each morning, and ordered room service one evening. Overall, the food was incredible. We both tried the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly and the portion was great. The Henry also offered the best selection of local beers at any of the restaurants we visited. As for the breakfast buffet, it was amazing every morning. The service was great, especially considering we were on the breakfast plan. My boyfriend really liked the french toast, while I really enjoyed the omelette. The selection outdid most restaurant breakfasts I've tried.

While staying at the hotel, we decided to eat here for dinner one night. The atmosphere and decor was lovely, and the tablet-menus were a nice touch. Our waiter was fine but seemed to disappear after our food was delivered. The food is what earns 3/5 stars. None of my party was terribly impressed with their meals, and one of us was very disappointed. She ordered the Penne Pasta and remarked how it tasted like something out of a can. Another said their steak was cooked to a perfect 'medium' but was rather bland, and eventually requested steak sauce. My dish was edible, but tasteless. I had the Grilled Half Chicken and found it to be very plain. I, too, requested some type of sauce to dip the pieces in. I had the crème brûlée and it was quite average. Another got the Ice Cream Sundae and enjoyed it. The blown-sugar bowl it arrived in was a very nice touch. A very average dining experience. I would not return here for dinner again, however, I have heard their breakfast is very good.

First time at the Tria. Very nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the electronic menu. Our waitress seemed bothered to be working but luckily when we ordered wine she called over the wine specialist who ended up waiting on us for the rest of the night. He suggested a great bottle of white wine that tasted fantastic paired with our cheese appetizer. Everything was delicious from the Appetizer to the French onion dip we shared. Our entrées which were the chicken halal and the pork were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Wish we had room to try the sweets. Next time! I would give this place 5 stars if our original waitress was nicer to us. All in all good and we will be back.

Tria is located inside The Henry Hotel. Don't let that fool you because it's not typical hotel food. The food was excellent! The menu offers a unique selection of entree's! The menu is on an iPad and easy to navigate. I have read other reviews and I'm shocked people have had bad service? Our bartender Todd and Audra were awesome! Todd introduced me to an unbelievable Malbec- Bodega Colome! It was absolutely delicious a must try. Thanks for turning us on to this! Tria offers a nice wine and beer selection. The restaurant is gorgeous and decorated beautifully! The fire place is on by the bar, there are communal tables, and regular table seating. It is a very inviting place! The breakfast was excellent, and worth taking the time in the morning. It's really nice to have a nice hotel restaurant as an option!

Their brunch buffet is pretty solid - lots of hot & cold options, fresh fruit etc, but not sure it's worth $20 for weekend brunch. I ended up going for the French Toast off the a la carte menu (and staving off my hunger by picking at my friends' buffet plates) and it was pretty solid! Very soft & moist, not much variety in texture (I like my toast to have slight crisp), but still enjoyable. Much better than the French Toast that's sitting in the buffet, so don't make comparisons to that. yelp.com/biz_photos/VZf2… Minus 1 star for the guy who gave us quite a bit of 'tude. My friend asked the host when our orders were coming because we ordered at 11 and it was 12 already. So had actually arrived at 11, and by the time the sat us all and came around to take our orders I guess it was more like 11:20. The host came back to tell us our orders were coming soon, and that *actually* we ordered at 11:20. Was it really necessary to say that, and to give us so much attitude about it??

We enjoyed drinks on two evenings in the bar area at Tria, as well as lunch in the restaurant. Tria has a surprisingly good selection of bottled beers, including many midwestern brewers' offerings such as Bells and Great Lakes. We made the mistake of focusing narrowly on the less impressive draft selections, then noticed the fridges full of delicious variety later. We also had sangria, which was a special offering, and found it pretty tasty. A special shout-out to our server who let us finish the carafe when we came by the bar juuuussst after last call. The food was what I consider typical upscale bistro fare: Soups and salads, "nice" macaroni and cheese, salad and seafood offerings. Everyone thought their food was fine but no raves. The main negative at Tria was the spottiness of the service. All of the servers were exceptionally nice, but service was also consistently slow--so much that they comped me a coffee and soft drink because I'd had to wait over 20 minutes for my check for those two items. Tria is one of those hotel restaurants you go to for convenience, but it really isn't half bad. Ask about the bottled beers. (PS--the hours listed here for Tria must refer to the food service hours; they are certainly open much later for bar service, at least on Friday and Saturday. We were served drinks around midnight both nights.)

Fantastic. We've been to Tria 3 times and each visit the food has been outstanding. It would be in my top 5 favorites in Michigan. I've hesitated to write, having been disappointed by other restaurants that start off with a bang and then fizzle. Tria started off with a bang is shining bright. Great menu with a wide range of dishes, small and large plates, raw bar and desserts. I've had so many GREAT dishes here that it's hard to recall them all. HIGHLIGHTS =========== - oysters super fresh on all visits served with a superb mignonette and a spicy sauce - Tots an amazing modern take - super light whipped potatoes, piped into a tot-shape, frozen then deep fried. Think crispy puffs of potato-air. - burger with pork belly confit Should be dinner for 2. The pork belly by itself is awesome. The buger by itself is awesome. The fries are perfect. One person should NOT eat this whole thing. - Henry Salad Fantastic local produce, just a touch of a nice sharp cheese, olives. - beet salad - small plate - great. - Deserts They have a desert sampler that was brilliant the first time we were there. The second time it was really good. The souffle is probably the best I've ever had. WINE LIST ========= Nice short list that is very affordable. They also offer 3, 5, and 8 oz. pours which I thought was brilliant. You can try a couple of small pours or get a bigger pour of something if you like. They have a few trophy wines on the list - maybe left over from the Ritz-Carlton Grill's fantastic list?? SERVICE ======= Well, it's been mixed. It's not yet at the level that was the Ritz-Cartlon. We've gone on the weekend which is less busy since it's in a (super nice) hotel. Oddly, the service has ranged from wonderful to "where'd they go?" [[The most peculiar experience was asking a server where something came from and then being told "made in house" for something that you can't really make in house. Then told the name of a farm that doesn't exist.]] On the whole they are super friendly and each visit has truly been a pleasure. The atmosphere is much brighter and open than the Rtiz Grill was. You could have a meeting of suits here or bring your family on the weekend. SUMMARY ========= Great food. Extremely good value for this level of food, wine and service. Cool spot for locals - since it's busy with hotel guests during the week, the weekend makes for a super nice place for locals.

Best part of this hotel. Awesome food and great breakfast. Sometimes hotel restaurants can be all show with little substance. The service was over the too here vas the food was good enough that I'd visit even if I weren't staying in the hotel.

They have small platesto share which are very reasonably priced, along with some entrees that seem like they are more in the $$$ range. I only did small plates and can't speak to the entrees. Whitefish tacos were great. You specify how many you want, so you can have it as a meal or a snack. We had both plain fries (well seasoned and crispy) and fries topped with meat and cheese (I forget what it was called). Both were tasty. I wouldn't have the brussels sprouts again as they were overcooked and sitting in far too much liquid to be billed as "crispy".

The food, service and presentation were all great. Their electronic menu shows the food as very little quantity but we were full after sharing a main meal. The lamb was very good not the 12 Sisters cake was phenomenal!

Have you ever seen the show Parks and Recreation? There was an episode once where two characters have a 'Treat Yoself' day. Massages? Treat yoself. Clothing? Treat yoself. You get the idea. Today was my Treat Yoself day and I kicked it off with breakfast at Tria. The service was totally great and it was quiet and just nice. As far as pricing goes, it's not greasy spoon cheap, but the pricing was on par with other breakfast joints I've been to. And the nice thing about eating breakfast at a hotel is that you know that the food will be quality. I did decide to get the buffet, since the handful of reviews I looked at here hadn't tried it (treat yoself). For $20 I got to pick and choose what I wanted - fresh fruit, smoked salmon, eggs, bacon, french toast, muffins... I didn't eat all of that mind you. But it was nice to have a little of whatever I wanted. It also came with the option of an omelet or waffle. I went with the waffle. Also, one of the servers actually said, "What can I do to make your day better?" I know that's his job, but that don't mean it isn't a nice sentiment. If I ever happened to be in Dearborn around breakfast time, I have half a mind to go back. Even if I'm not treating myself.

The Tria is on site at the Marriott Henry hotel. Lunch at Tria has been a disappointment. Meals take forever to serve and each time for our group there has been a problem (overcooked salmon, wrong sides with an entree, missed sides unserved). Staff apologizes promptly and removes charges for problem areas from the bill - but length of time to serve and ongoing problems make this a risk every time one sits down. Room service from the same kitchen has been fast, food tasty & hot, and staff are happy to refine what is plated based on requests (I'm doing the slow-carb diet so don't want to see starches on the plate).

No doubt the place looks fancy inside the hotel but the service was horrible . My wife ordered Mac and Cheese for our 3 year old to go and she ended up paying around $25.00 . She confronted the person who took the order and he went in the back and never came back . She was charged twice and tips was include when she did not even dine in . Extremely rude As Mariott member . I get free breakfast buffet at the restaurant on site on the weekend every time the concierge lounge is closed on weekends. We were charge a Stupid $5.00 dollar fee per person for going to the omelette station. This charge was presented to us when we received the check . The manager stated that this charge was to make up for the cost of the free breakfast we had . I did not mind paying the $10.00. It was a great deal for buffet for two people however we felt very uncomfortable about the manager's explanation which doesn't make sense. And asked if this was a Marriott policy and he stated it was not. Even though we get free breakfast the next day we went somewhere els to eat where we felt comfortable and paid more .

In town for work and staying at the hotel, so to save time we grabbed lunch here. I had the Henry burger with a side salad with blue cheese crumbles. The Henry burger was excellent, great flavor, nice bun, although the bun was so big it masked the flavor. Our server was nice BUT we were one of only 2 tables there at the time and the food took FOREVER.

I ate at this restaurant a couple of times while staying at the hotel which it is located in, The Henry. The food was pretty fabulous and based on that I would probably go back. However the service was pretty horrible both times that I dined here during my stay. My first meal here was the Signature Henry Burger. I split this with someone and added a salad. Both the salad and the burger were delicious, but it took over an hour to get food at an off-time (3 PM) when they weren't very busy. The waiter did end up removing the burger from the bill because of the wait. The next morning I had breakfast here. They do have a buffet, but on weekends the buffet is $18 per person and doesn't appear to be worth that much. I opted for the American Breakfast - 2 eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, toast and juice/coffee. They do serve Starbucks coffee at this restaurant if that is your thing. The breakfast was good and filling, but again it took almost an hour to get food when they weren't very busy. After eating at this place twice, I realized that the room service offered by the hotel is pretty much the same food that is offered in the restaurant, which may explain partly the bad service offered by the restaurant. I ordered some chicken wings via room service and explained that I needed to leave my room within an hour and they got my food to me in about 20 minutes. Therefore, while the food is great - if I were staying here I would pay the $3 delivery charge and order room service rather than wait forever at this restaurant.

This is the best hidden gem for business lunch time! The menu is cute and is displayed with a Tablet that actually works (better than Fleming's for example). For $14 you can get excellent service, gorgeous ambience, beautiful modern/classic mix décor, calm and quiet environment with great food options for lunch. I always get one of their gourmet sandwiches with hand cut potato chips sprinkled with sea salt and homemade puff bread (ohhh, the best)! Then we finish it off with a small plate of assorted pastries to share. I feel very satisfied when I come for lunch. Honestly, at lunch time, I am not eating 3-4 slices of Buddy's pizza nor trying to knock off dinner/ have left overs/ run a marathon so lunch here is abundant for me, not sure why people complained. Maybe they need to order from the entrée menu.I will be honest and admit that I have not seen the dinner menu and maybe it is pricey and the source of the cons. Finally, the place is super special but in different ways than it used to be while under Ritz management, I wouldn't necessarily support a Michelin star restaurant but honestly there is nothing else that compares in a 15mile radius so this is great, absolutely worth the visit if you are in the area.

Nice, well decorated American fusion place inside the Henry hotel in Dearborn. Most of the plates are meant to share, but they have some fantastic standalone mains, too. Price: 5/5 Decor: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 4/5

Been to TRIA an number of times and appreciate the opportunity to try small plates that you don't see in other restaurants. The Bite Flights are wonderful as are the banana peppers and grilled cheese. It's a comfortable place to sit and have a drink and eat a light meal. Breakfast is good as well but is the usual fare - well-executed. The staff is quite special and the majority of them have worked in the restaurant for many years - pre-dating TRIA's existence. While the food is good, it's the staff that make the restaurant special whether you're eating alone or having a business meeting. It's an easy choice if you're staying in the hotel or live/work nearby.

Food quality is high - same chef was retained from days of Ritz-Carlton. Not as extensive a menu as Ritz days. While there are fewer servers they are still very professional and friendly - not quite as formal as when they represented the Ritz - more of a "family" feel. I certainly recommend it.

Tria recently expanded their menu and now have more larger plates along with the smaller and share plates. I think their food is very good, the only thing so far that I have not liked is their hummus, kind of dry and tasteless. Nice place, comfortable anf good service

Not super impressed but it does the trick. I was here for business and got in late so just wanted something light and easy. Upon arriving I was not really intrigued by anything on the menu. If I was in a different mood, I may have been, but I have been eating so heavy I just wanted something light and on the healthier side. That was not what I found. A lot of the options were cooked in butter or cheese, even the veggies and the main courses were primarily red meat. They do have a decent wine list and I was able to find a few that fit my palate. I sat at the bar, since it was just me and right away the bartenders greeted me. They were very friendly and helpful. The menu is on an ipad kind of device, which I am not a fan of since I think it can be a pain when the pad gets sticky and you have to hit it over and over again for it to work properly. I think the bartender could tell I was getting frustrated so she politely came over and offered me a few suggestions. After figuring out what I was in the mood for she suggested adding the salmon to any of the salads. I went ahead with her suggestion and ordered the arugula salad with the salmon. I was really pleased with my choice. The salmon was a bit dry, but I was fine with that since like I mentioned the fish I had been eating while on this trip was heavy and covered in sauce. It was nice to just have a plain grilled salmon with a fresh salad. I gave me just what I was looking for in the end. Not the best place in the world, but considering your options in the area and if you are looking for something convenient, this is a good option.

I ate dinner and breakfast while staying at the hotel. I was solo so I ate dinner at the bar and I have to say I had a fine meal with none of the service issues others have reported. Service was fast and food came out right away. I had the French Onion soup as appetizer and two other appetizers--a salad and steamed mussels--as the main course. Everything was delicious, although the mussels could have used a little more garlic. The bartender had a couple of miscues, such as giving me the silverware across the bar with the handles facing him, not me. And when I ordered hot tea, he didn't ask what kind of tea I wanted, instead pot with tea (and not the kind I wanted) just appeared. But the other positive aspects of his service and food overcame that. The dining room is not big and the ambiance was classy and cozy with a gas fireplace going next to the bar. Breakfast the next morning was similarly high quality and I was impressed with the attentive service throughout. As I was seated I was asked if I wanted coffee and orange juice and those were poured right away. The manager stopped by a couple of times to ask if I needed anything. The buffet is a bit jury rigged, mostly set up on the bar top, and the selection is not huge. There is a cold selection of cereal, toast, fruits, etc. but the hot buffet is scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon and sausage and that's it. But the buffet is only $15, not bad for a high end hotel. I would definitely eat here again when staying in the hotel or when in the area.

Disappointing. We waiting an hour for our food to be delivered to our table. My steak was cold, and honestly I've had better for less than the $30 it cost. Other people at the table had the same experience.

Went here for an anniversary dinner; I'd scoped out the menu online beforehand and knew to order our dessert, a hot souffle, with a good 25-minute lead time. I ordered two of the cold "small plate" vegetable dishes (the fennel and the beets with walnuts) and the risotto of the day (lemon-thyme); my spouse ordered the scallops with a side of spinach. We also were offered a complimentary bite of french toast with blackberry sauce, which was good enough that I'm curious about breakfast there. Service was attentive and the courses were all well-paced; the chocolate souffle arrived at the right time. The scallop entree and the two small plates were excellent, the risotto was very good, and the souffle with creme anglaise was phenomenal. The staff also brought out a "Happy Anniversary" truffle plate as a final touch. On the downside, one of the bread plates at our table had a smear that looked like red lipstick and the silverware in my place setting had an unsightly residue. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the bread selection offered could have been better-- the cheese crisps were different but not really to my liking and the rolls were so-so. But all the other dishes concentrated on a few key ingredients, resulting in dishes that were flavorful without being overpowering. The wine list was extensive; we were happy with our choices and I appreciate being able to control the serving size of the glass (2 oz, 5 oz, 8 oz).

TRIA is one of those restaurants that doesn't know what exactly what it wants to be. First off...the little complimentary taste of what they are specializing in for that week that was brought to us before we even ordered our drinks was just silly...it was truly forgettable so I can't even describe it. The menu was a bit confusing...you got small plates, you got sides, you got items to share, you got entrees and it is hard to tell what is a meal sized portion or a starter. We ordered The Henry salad which was quite good, very rich vinaigrette that I just love. However, as I am enjoying my salad I bit into some lettuce that was gritty...come on, a place of the stature should be washing their lettuce thoroughly. I let it go because it was towards my finishing the salad...I should have said something! The bread was stale...again, a restaurant of this caliber should be serving HOT bread. My meal was just okay...I got the pork at the recommendation of our server...it was actually a bit dry. I was also turned off by the way they accompanied my meal with the asparagus...the meal came with Brussels sprouts which I don't like. Requesting something else was graciously accepted and I was offered asparagus...yum! Not so much...they had cut the asparagus, actually almost diced it and for some reason were really unappealing. Overall, I wasn't pleased with the meal...I might try it again in the future and just get a salad and maybe a starter.
