Went there for Father's day. Everyone who ordered pasta was disappointed. I had the chicken Alfredo. It was so dry, I asked for extra sauce. I was brought a 2 oz. sized portion of sauce. I ended up getting 3 of these but it was still too dry. I could lift the entire portion of noodles with my fork. We should have sent it back, but with 5 of the 7 of us , it would have taken too much time. What a waste of time and money.

Unlimited salad and breadsticks make this a new favorite for lunch. Add unlimited soup for a couple bucks more and you'll know why this is one of the fastest growing chains in the country. You never know - Some day I might actually try their Italian food.

What can I say -- I am a fan of the Olive Garden now! This Olive Garden looked a lot like all the other Olive Gardens. The food was great, the service was great, all in all had a nice time. Went on a date - where I paid because he paid the last time and this is where I ended it. So, I paid him back -- I even took him to a better place than where he took me - to a dive bar! Olive Garden - you can do just about anything at the Garden!!!! I will be back Olive Garden, maybe not to this one, but I'll see you soon!

I have not been in a couple years to Olive Garden. Wow was I surprised how bad it's gotten. Food under cooked, slopped together and tasteless. The waitress at this location was having a real bad day. Seemed angry for having to serve us and had in general a very bad temper.

Went yesterday with some family members and when we sat down and received my food which tasted alright, later the lady camd back and said that were not allowed to share salad which is outrageous since we come here all the time and no one ever says anything. Our waitress was very rude everytime we request something and takes her time. Last expirence at this location.

Came with a group of 10 for lunch. We were well taken care of and food was on par. Nothing amazing but good for lunch!

The only reasons I love this place is the all you can eat their amazing salad and soup. But It's been awhile since I've dined here, for a couple reason, service was slow, waitstaff behavior and food preparation looking disastrous. I started visiting the location in Livonia, that's been great so far. But being in the area we had no choice but to visit this one. Host was friendly and inviting, server providing true customer service and the busser, willing to helpful to everyone around him. Not sure who took the time in making this change happen, but we will be back!

Tonight was my first time having Olive Garden in years, and it was nothing like I remembered it. The quality of the food has gone down, it was just slopped together !

I've worked within sight of this Olive Garden for the past seven years. I had a few bad experiences early on and avoided it for some time; recently, I've started going back. Where I had become used to never getting refills, breadsticks unavailable when I arrived, and at least a 90 minute lunch, my past three experiences have been a delight. Friendly wait staff, prompt service, and good (if not great) food. I recently discovered the calzone lunch, where you can effectively swap a calzone plus dipping sauce for either soup or salad in the Soup Salad Breadsticks lunch, and it was a great value. The food is still a bit lacking in freshness and a bit high on sodium, but it's consistent and there is always a rotating variety. If you want to save some money versus some of the pricier Dearborn-area alternatives (Andiamo's, Bistro 222, Moro's), I wouldn't hesitate to make a trip to this Olive Garden.

Just your average olive garden. Great service, food is meh as usual. I got some appetizer with a lot of cheese and then filled up on salad and breadsticks and some grilled asparagus. I was really trying to avoid the deathly "I hate myself, I ate too much and now I can't move or stand up straight" feeling after eating here. I usually get a pasta dish, i've had both red and white sauce. Both alright, the alfredo sauce though, I swear I can feel my arteries clogging while i'm eating it. My brother wanted to eat here, I wanted benihana...I lost. The thing I can't stand about olive garden is that I always feel like I have filled my body with zero nutrition. From the iceberg lettuce in the salad to the breadsticks and the pasta. It really makes me feel like crap after, my body gets really angry with me.

Slow as molasses service. I have now been sitting here for 45 over minutes and i still have yet to receive appetizer. We moved from the bar after sitting there for over 15 minutes thinking we would receive faster service at a table, but that was not the case. As i write this review my appetizer just arrived....smh. Do Not Come Here If You're hungry. You'll be pissed.

I find nothing spectacular about Olive Garden. It's basically generic Italian food. Nothing great, but good. When you pair that with all you can eat soup and salad, you do get a reasonably inexpensive yet filling meal. Try all the soups, you can! My favorite is still the Zoupa Toscana with it's spicy sausage, potatoes and kale in a gentle cream based broth. Yummm.

Worst Olive Garden I've ever been to. Service was slow and food was bad. My daughter's pizza had sauce that tasted like it went bad, and my wheat noodles were mushy. We never even received one drink refill and we were here for over 1.5 hours. My daughter's smoothie sat so long it was melted when it arrived. Will cross this one OFF the list.

Okay, so I know, as pointed out by many reviewers, it's a chain. Some chain restaurants are known for giving really stellar food and service. This Olive Garden is not one of them. I'm leery of chain restaurants because of consistency (lack of). That being said let's get down to business. Had lunch with my girls today at this location. First off, unlike others, we had an awesome server Morgan J., she was attentive, accommodating, informative, and professional. Our empty glasses were kept filled. No problems with this server in case you (Olive Garden, Dearborn) are reading this--kudos, kudos, kudos! One of my friends and I decided to share the "Create a Sampler Italiano" which consisted of calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and toasted beef and pork ravioli. The calamari was the best thing on the plate albeit really under seasoned, the stuffed mushrooms were meh, I could take them or leave them (preferably leave them). But the pièce de résistance was the tough as whit leather ravioli. You couldn't even taste the filling trying to chew through that puppy. Salad was under dressed even after tossing it. The soup was bad, bad, and more bad. I've had Pasta e Fagioli and it was wonderful, this one was not. As a matter of fact my other girls who tried it kept referring to it as chili! Not a good sign for an Italian styled restaurant. Then we tried the Zuppa Tuscana wrong, wrong, wrong. My girls liked it but I kept noticing them pulling out big chunks of potato and putting them to the side--not a good sign. Then on a third try I decided (mistake, mistake) to try the Chicken & Gnocchi soup. You know it's bad when you are searching for the key ingredients. With the exception of the Pasta e Fagioli which did taste like chili the broth base of the others were bland with a capital "B". I should not have to add lots and lots of salt and pepper for flavoring. Now to the silver lining in the whole mix, the Salty Caramel Tiramisu was great. What can I say Olive Garden but you need to step up your game. If you're going to be an Italian restaurant be an Italian restaurant. I'm just sayin'...

The food was pretty good. Cheap glass of wine, salad and soup for about 30 per person with tax and tip. We all had the Chicken Scampi - it was very good, but a little too much garlic for my taste. The reason for the minus one star was the armed SECURITY GUARD at the front door. Here's a tip Olive Garden - if you want to protect your customers from the violent patrons or thieves, dress him in an olive garden uniform or suit and have him open the door and greet people.

It's an Olive Garden, overpriced mediocre food. There are so many places you can go to spend less money and get better food.

We found this location by accident and usually enjoy the Olive Garden experience and value. The experience here was less than desired. Since we arrived early, were seated right away. Aside from the meals, it was downhill from there. Our waitress Tamara, seemed like she had a bad attitude from minute one. She was slow to bring our salad, soup and breadsticks. When we asked for more breadsticks, she gave the excuse that they were still baking. Two minutes later, a table across the way received their breadsticks. We probably waited another 5 more minutes. Our waters never got refilled. In our party of 3, 2 of us ordered the same chicken dinner and we ended up getting different but similar meals. I was hungry and it did taste good so we kept it. Another guest ordered the 12 oz steak and ended up with Steak Al Fredo and she insisted that that was what we ordered because she repeated back the order. All 3 of us agreed that she did not. In fact, she did not even write anything down .Maybe she should start. She half-heartedly offered to take it back but made it sound like it would take a long time to get a replacement meal. I'm not saying that the customer is always right, but I don't believe she should deny out right that it was her fault or a misunderstanding on her part. She must have sent the manager over, so we explained the whole story again. He asked if we wanted to have desert. Did he mean that as a complimentary offer for our disappointment ? it sure did not sound like that. I think he could have made a gesture to comp one of our meals at least. I filled out the stupid survey on the receipt and the manager did email me, but the grammatical errors in his reply really made me wonder how sincere he was. I would still go to Olive Garden restaurants, just not this one on Ford Road.

Probably the worst location of Olive Garden I've experienced. Service was okay. Food was okay. The bathroom was kind of gross.

I've never really had a bad experience at an Olive Garden. I wouldn't even consider this one bad, just "under par" for what I'm used to from them. It just really looked like our meal was literally thrown together, no time, no effort. The salad was soggy and had way too much dressing. The bread was a little hard. The gnocchi soup...had 0 gnocchi. Now, I've had good experiences here, but what prompted me to write about this one is the service. Not only did all of that go on, but the waitress had an excuse for everything, when she showed up. We sat forever without refills on our drinks, soup and salad. What's the point of unlimited if i spend my hour lunch break waiting and waiting? Can't say I wont be back though, everybody has a bad day.

It wasn't exactly what we expected but our waitress (qualisha) turned out to be awesome. The manager made it more than right so much so that we may give them another chance.

Can't really say much since this is a chain and you know what you are getting into when you come here. The food isn't amazing but what do you expect?! My friend and I came here for lunch. We did the soup and salad thing. It was my first time and I loved it! We both asked for soup, salad, and bread to go in separate bags and the waiter helped us bag it. SO NICE! It was my dinner. =] Hence the four stars. Amazing service!

I usually love the experience of Olive Garden. But this time was a little different. I am eating my food, as usual. Every thing is good. I ask for another salad, they bring it. I scoop some out of the bowl on to my plate and what do I see? Something that looks like a wad of gum that was rolled up in a broken off piece of napkin! OH, HELL NAW!! Right there in my salad on my plate! I could have eaten that! I called my waiter over to the table and he could tell that there was a major issue. He apologized and immediately got the manager. The Manager told me that it might have happened because the trash can was probably sitting right next to the big salad container. Someone threw their gum into what they thought was the garbage. But, it ended up in my food. SMDH So nasty! Anyway, the manager comped the food, threw in desserts and added a$ 40 gift card to everything. I usually go to the one on Eureka Rd. I'll be back!

It's not bad for a chain restaurant. It's usually packed with people from Detroit and there's always a wait but the food is decent. Salad and breadsticks are the reason why I go to Olive Garden.

Well, it was an experience... We always eat at Olive Garden when we have the opportunity. This location had your typical Olive Garden food, but paired with exceptionally, wait for it... slow service. Thankfully, we were not in a hurry and there for lunch. Riga-mortis set in between refills of my drink. However, I guess that was ok, as it gave me time to locate my missing teeth I broke on the rock hard breadsticks! One unexpected benefit was the free dinner theatre provided by the table next to us. Apparently, the less than stellar service had the ready to open a can, but they were calmed down by the assistant server telling them to "cut the waitress some slack". I would have spit my coke out laughing at this statement, but didn't want to feel parched in the Sahara for the next forty-five minutes waiting for a refill. The final kicker was being asked if we wanted the bill. This is usually my wife's favorite part, as she gets those little Andes mints. Well, they never arrived - shocking, I know. For a dinner theatre, the price wasn't bad. The dental work for those breadsticks will break the bank, however. Overall, I'd pass unless you can't wait to visit another location.

Awesome service but the food.... The food will tear your stomach up so I do not recommend the chicken alfredo

I love the unlimited breadsticks and soup/salad. We always had to ask for extra instead of the waitress asking us. I love try buy one take one deal, it always brings me in to this restaurant! I love having the meal for dinner next day.

Yes everyone, WE KNOW ITS A CHAIN. so what. Get over it. What needs to be said is that the management here certainly does not seem to care about quality, and that is a shame. OG food is not bad. It is consistent and reliable, at least one would think before you dine here. Bread sticks come out hard as rocks sometimes. In fact, I considered taking one to use as a nightstick when taking may walks for protection. The salad bowl is filled about 1/3 of the way leading you to have to beg for more. Service tends to be ssllooww. Waiting for refills on drinks is like waiting for paint to dry. If you can, skip it. If you cant, plan on the meal lasting about 1.5 hours.

Horrible service EVERY TIME! We waited at lease 20, yes 20 minutes for someone to ask us for our drink order... Then finally the manager waited on us the entire meal. Service was horrible, not sure why I keep insisting on returning, but every single time we have gone, it's been miserable. Looks like 4th time is a charm and we won't be going back. Sadly, we have to drive 25 minutes to go to another Olive Garden. Don't waste your time.

Felt like eating some soup and salad for lunch today. The closest Olive Garden was this restaurant, 13 miles away from my hotel. I was greeted as soon as I walked I into this restaurant. My waitress was a very nice lady with a sweet voice. My bill came to $16.20 tax included. I had the soup & salad, coke and Bread with tomato. Zuppa: was watered down, too bad I was looking forward to this soup, I guess I will have to go back to Chicago to get the good stuff Bread stick: was warm but hard and not soft I am giving this restaurant two stars not for the food but for their service. However, people do not go to the restaurants for service. I still love Olive Garden, just not this one.

I won't review the food because if you're looking for fine dining this isn't where you're going. But I have to say the overall experience was one of the worst I've had. The 1st thing you notice is how dirty the entire place is-right down to the waitstaff most of whom look as if they hadn't bathed in days. 1 waiter complimented his dirty clothes with long shaggy hair that he kept shaking thru the dining room like a dog that just came in from the rain. So I guess it's no surprise we got dirty silverwareu and glassware. The server was unapologetic and replaced them with more dirty utensils (we were pretty sure their was a dried booger on the glassware). I watched the manager fumbling thru wine glasses looking for a clean one. We were pretty certain someone else was complaining. He looked frustrated. Our server was....ex...treme...ly....slow. She was extremely detached and unfazed by our dissatisfaction. Cold breadsticks, average entrees, awful service and an unkept environment. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I ended up visiting at around 6:30, and was seated within a half hour. It was a decent size crowd waiting, so there were no complaints on that end. At any rate, the service was great! The waitress we had knew the menu better than any waitress at any restaurant I've ever been. The food came to our table hot and fresh, and the breadsticks were also rather warm and fresh. Usually, they have a good flavor, but today, they were a bit on the salty side for my taste. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much seafood was in the Seafood Portofino.

Went to celebrate my bff birthday there...OMG we has the best server name Justin. He made sure the glasses was filled, food was always on the table, if a mistake was made he handled it. Without notice to us but he informed us....live an honest server!!! Even offered to train my daughter if she was hired there. Love his customer service!!! JUSTIN MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU AND WHEN EVER I STOP ON I MUST BE IN YOUR SECTION.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
