Best bakery in the metro Detroit area. I love their little cakes and desserts. You can get a box and choose all the ones you want. Sometimes it's hard to refrain from getting one of everything.

Their spinach pies and hummus are really good...but the most interesting thing I've had here are the dandelion greens. It's weird to think you're eating the weeds that you used to pick in your yard and make wishes with but they taste really good here! I think they sautee them with onions...they're supposed to be a side dish but my family will just eat them as a main course. They have a fresh made food section and a bakery with a lot of pastries that look really good. They have an area you can just eat in or take it to go for a picnic.

this place had everything i seriously got lost in there , made feel back home the most out of all the places in Dearborn , great place

Great selection of products here, hummus and tabouleh are out this world. They have amazing flat bread from the oven, sooo good! I've liked all their pastry as well. Go early in the day if you go on the weekends, as they tend to run out of things fairly quickly.

Yesss. My favorite Middle Eastern bakery in the area for sure. I typically do carry out of cold items and it never disappoints. My usual order? The larger meat pies, spinach pies, the pita bread with the cheese inside (like a pita quesadilla--SO GOOD), hoummous, tabouli, pita, and a small tray full of sweets like the honey balls, honey swirls, and baklava filled with cheese. The honey balls? Man. I love them. Deep fried little bits of dough soaked in a floral honey. A definite stand out. The meat pies have a great spiced flavor with bits of pine nuts in there, the spinach pies have a bit of acidic tartness that I really enjoy as well. I dip it in the hoummous and let the flavors ride! Prices are MORE than reasonable--all the above (with multiple orders of each) only cost me around $20 and I've been eating them for the last 3-4 days. They also have a grocery section featuring dry goods, pantry items, etc. Curious to try the sit down/hot dishes but for deli delights and take out it's my jam.

I love this place and it's been consistently good since I was a kid. My mom used to take my sister and I there for a cheese pie after running errands some times. The older man that worked there (and still does) would always give us a free cookie, and that bought him some very loyal customers. Their food is delicious and fresh and reasonably priced, and their desserts are beautiful.

It is not only a bakery, but also a regular lebanese restaurant, they have mixed grill, kafta, meat pies, stuffed cabbage and grapes leaves. We tried their meat pies, it is very hard to top. Great fast friendly services.

A must visit to anybody visiting the Detroit area. Located on Warren Avenue in Dearborn. This bakery gets as traditional as it gets while giving you an upscale feel. Food is incredible

I have been going here for at least 20 years and they have never let me down. The fresh bread is the best around. They have the best selection around lunch, but it does get busy. Spinach pies, falafel, baba ghannouj, hummus, chicken shawarma, grape leaves, stuffed zucchini, garlic paste etc.. They are my go to place for Middle Eastern groceries, or for a quick lunch. Excellent!

  • Amy K.

The best baklava I have ever had! Their vegetarian grape leaves and falafel are also incredible.

  • Adam O.

Fantastically good Middle Eastern food for insanely low prices. Bakery and restaurant all in one. Either pick up an order to go or stay in and devour your purchase at one of the tables. Regardless, youre eating well.

  • Athena K.

A great place to go for lunch! The ordering process is a bit confusing and prices have gone up over the past few years. But the cheese bread is with it, so are the sandwiches and pastries. Yum!

Been to New Yasmeen several time and love to get fresh pita, date cookies and the hot food station makes really good food as well! I've bought cheap honey and other baked goods and have never been disapointed. I alwways stop here when I go to Super Greenland.

My friend (an expert when it comes to Middle Eastern cuisine) took me here during our lunch break to try a whole assortment of food and it was incredible! The fried kibbeh and meat pie with cheese were delicious. I am not usually a fan of lamb at all, but I could barely taste the gameyness of it. Surprisingly, the rice with slivers of almonds and meat was one of my favorite dishes even though it looks so ordinary. The fattoush is pretty standard, as were the grape leaves. The spinach and meat pies were as good as it gets! For dessert we had cornbread, which was a wonderful way to top off the meal. It wasn't too sweet, like baklava can be, and there was the taste of cashews infused in it, making it very aromatic. I'll definitely be back!

  • Andrea H.

I always love going here when I need a fast lunch. The meat and spinach pies are the greatest! As well as the Cheese and Zatar bread...they warm it up for you so it's never cold. I also love the Chicken Sharma sandwiches....better that the other places on Warren Ave! ;) Don't forget to try the humus too! Always busy at lunch time, so you know its good.

The bakery looks amazing however I did not try another because my host wanted to go to another bakery after we ate. They have a mini market located in the store with fresh breads and candies. The food was good however since I'm new to the taste Its hard to rate. I'd say 4.5 overall

  • Alex T.

Pretty good, fresh food. Went here for lunch while in the area for business. They have a HUGE variety of middle eastern food for lunch. I was completely new to this type of food. I had the chicken schwarma and it was great. There was a wide variety of sweets, breads, and candies. This place was filled with pita bread....crates and crates. I really want to know how much of it they sell in a day. Anyways, check this place out for lunch sometime. It's one of those unique places you don't find further out in the suburbs.

I've always bypassed NYB for Shatila when driving down Warren looking for baked goods. But the lunchtime options at Shatila are limited to greasy, pastry-like items, and I was in the mood for a sandwich, a falafel sandwich. And what a sandwich it was! I have been going mostly to Hamido for sandwiches. While the falafel is really good there, the service takes some time and the parking lot is small, and a it's pain to exit. At NYB, the service was really really quick. The parking is ample. And the falafel, my god the falafel, it was sooooooooooooo good. And the bread is better than that at Shatila. The sandwich also includes pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and tahini. I was very tempted by the wide variety of sweets and drinks, but did not bow down to my saccharine urges. I will probably indulge when I return. I'm definitely going to be back for more falafel.

  • Amy H.

What a great place to pick up a quick lunch! I personally have never seen another place where you can just walk in, put together a meal from a beautiful selection of prepared foods hot and cold and it doesn't cost anymore than a trip to Wendy's. Plus being mediteranean it's all pretty healthy and you don't even have to feel guilty about it!

  • Nick G.

Can't be beat I'm pretty sure. My family has been taking my half arab ass here since I was a kid. This place really has it all. You can't go wrong either, everything rules (except my mom makes better lubbie and hummous). Get yourself a cheese bread if you like cheese and bread. Everything rules but get the thing that's in the bottom left zone of the far right deli counter in the deli area with the dishes and stuff... it's like a yogurty, tangy chickpea/lamb dish... get some rice to eat it with. It's like biting into a fantasy!!! Whats up with the arab orange soda connection?

    (5)
  • Kevin L.

Wow, the selection can't be beat here. I've never seen so many different Middle Eastern pastries all stacked up and freshly baked or fried or whatever'd. I think I got a knafeh, which is a phyllo triangle wrapped around some sweet custardy cheese. Still good after being squished on a plane and eaten at 3 am, yes, right before bed. PIcked up a few jalebi too, but these were sickly sweet. Oh, just did dessert before the meal. Yeah, the entree was decent. Chicken kabob thing with beef bits rice. Loved the two-different pickles all over it and the tahini and yogurt sauce. Someone got some hummus and I threw myself all over that. Pita was a little stale, which was surprising, but still, awesome hummus saves the day. The date juice drink I got was super floral, but unfortunately super super sweet. I wanted it chilled and put over my pancakes. Big seating area for eating in!

I finally came back for the food. There was an elder couple ahead of me and the patriarch was positively gushing. On the wall inside, it says " There is no sincerer love than the love of food." Amen to that. The place is legit-I think they were playing the Qur'an over the speakers. Usually, I am put off by people putting their religion out there but I had a meal to eat. I saw their cafeteria/deli-style set up and went all out. I had their shish kafta, which they grilled on the spot-great call. I had a spinach empanada thing at a feeble attempt to eat healthy-that was not bad. Of course I bought dessert. The pistachio baklava and the phyllo dessert were both superlative.

  • Ed G.

I cannot complain too much. This is a very simple place to have lunch, Clean, but not fancy. Food is well prepared , whatever you order, and fresh. It isn't a normal restaurant -- more of a cafeteria. I like the atmosphere. There is an attached Deli that sells nice Middle eastern food and other items. Go for the experience. The food is good too.

Killer schwarma. Insanely good raw juices. Huge deli counter with fresh hummus, olives, falafel, etc to choose from. Great baklava. This place is the jam.

  • Natalie F.

I work in Dearborn and this the my favorite lunch spot that I've found (through a Yelp search, no doubt). You order at a deli counter from a large selection of prepared food, bakery items, smoothies/fresh juice, sandwiches, entree meals and grocery items. I always get a sandwich and like that they lightly toast it. There is a separate eating area to take your food to if you'd like to eat it there. It's open 24 hours during Ramadan.

  • Siew B.

Eat: Meat Shawarma, Chicken Shawarma, Shish Kafta. All accompanying vegetables. Garlic and tahini. Take a little spoonful of the 2 spices by the napkins (the dark stuff is not "spicy" the lighter orange stuff is spicy. One is "Tawook" from what my friend said) Skip: the falafel. Tasted odd and not fresh, so minus 1 full star. Come and eat here, very tasty.

  • Christy F.

I love the concept of this place!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dine in or carry out. One side is baked goods and the other side is the hot food. Great fresh pita and some sort of round sesame bread here. Lots of baklavah type sweets that are sweetened with honey. You can also purchase day old bread at a good discount. I love their chicken shwarma sandwich. It is very good. I also enjoyed their meat and cheese pies, grape leaves, and hummous. I did not really care for their baba, but I like mine with a good smokey flavor. This is a great place to stop and try some new stuff. It is like stepping into another world.

New Yasmeen... Conflicted thoughts, everything is fresh made that day. BUT sometimes basic seasoning is not done correctly (i.e. taste while you cook) and the food can come off bland. All of the sandwiches are really, really good. Service can takes some time but they do a ton of business. Definitely worth the visit & a great way to sample a lot of different Mediterranean/Middle Eastern (i.e. Lebanese) dishes...

  • Kristin A.

My parents are native to Dearborn, and I have gone to New Yasmeen since I was a little girl. I used to eat their hummous with a spoon - that's right... No bread - although the pita here is delicious and affordable and is distributed to various supermarkets. It even comes in whole wheat. New Yasmeen hummous is the standard against which I judge all other hummous. Although a bit pricey, my family always has a stash of cheese bread in the freezer; they reheat great! The schwarma sandwiches are excellent. They have traditional pickled turnip instead of pickles. At the deli counter you may find mujaddara, hummous, baba ghanoush, tabbouli, rice pilaf, stuffed grape leaves (veggie or meat), spinach pies, meat pies, falafel, and a variety of other middle eastern staples, lunch sandwiches, and entrees. The bakery also has house-made sweets such as baklava, jalebi (amazing fritters dripping with honey and sometimes flavored with rose water), and assorted cakes and other sweets. The bakery also makes fresh juices and smoothies and has a general grocery area featuring various middle eastern and basic goods as well as cold beverages if you choose to dine inside the spacious café area. Yum!

I went here for a chicken shawarma sandwich. I am not sure what i did wrong but i didn't get a sandwich but the dinner instead. Honestly i was confused by the whole ordering process and found myself with no drink and no sandwich. They have a lunch room style eating area in the corner that i also wasn't a fan of.

Been going here for years, but I just tried the fatteh on a recommendation from another customer and really enjoyed it. It is a yogurt stew with beef, chick peas, and nuts. It is served with crispy pita chips. Also, the chicken shawarma wrapped in pita with a pickle and white garlic sauce is only three dollars and is very tasty and filling. My husband always gets their lahmahjoon which is $1.99 a piece. We buy them by the dozen and freeze them.

New Yasmeen is wonderful, and now my favorite Lebanese/Middle Eastern place to stop in at when I'm passing through Dearborn! I was leading a tour of the Detroit area, and everyone in my group loved their food and desserts. One member of the group was Egyptian and another had worked in Iraq, and both were impressed. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever nearby!

  • Wendy C.

One item alone, the CHEESE BREAD, is worth your trip there and all the stars you can give! Sure you can get cheese bread in any of the dozens of middle eastern bakeries dotted around town, but none comes close to goodness of Yasmeen's heavenly rendition. Other items are aplenty and good too, personal favs include dandelion salad (tender greens sauteed with onion and olive oil), baked kibbee, fresh-made-in-front-of-your-eyes chicken shawarma sandwich. But, it's just hard not to stuff my face with the cheese bread.

  • Christina M.

Love this place. I live in Clinton Twp, and New Yasmeen has me making frequent trips down to Dearborn for the shawarma alone. I've never had a bad experience here. The desserts are delicious too, try the chocolate teacup filled with milk and white chocolate mousse...MMmmm...Mousse. Any who, Can't beat the prices..I can get 3 small spinach pies, 3 small meat pies, a chicken shawarma wrap and a beef shawarma wrap for around 10 bucks. Can't beat that, my friends. Best middle eastern food for the price that I've been able to find. :D

Better tasting sweets than Shatilla down the street since it is not Mass produced

  • Heather W.

I work in Dearborn and eat here about once a week. Chicken shwarma is delicious, the pickles and garlic sauce make it. I love their hummus as well. I've had better fattoush, but everything New Yasmeen does is top notch, so I won't complain.

  • John M.

Delicious food but get there early.

I wish New Yasmeen was a lot closer to Hazel Park than it is - I'd go there a lot more than I do. I wasn't really that impressed with their shwarma sandwich - it was good but I liked Al Ameer's better. On the other hand - I have nothing but praise for the spinach pie. It was ... can words even describe it? It brings a tear to my eye it was so wonderful. Perfect texture to the dough - wonderful lemony spinach mix with a ratio of dough to spinach that was perfect. The eighth wonder of the world? Stretching it there, maybe - but damn it was good! Everything else looked good - expecially the baked goods. bought some little sesame cookie things that went well with tea - very mild with a slight anise flavor. I will try more things when I return again to stock up on Spinach Pie.

Food was a little cold but relatively good. Very casual cafe atmosphere; store items looked really good

Simply awesome! Sancho is very, very picky and grew up eating homemade Middle Eastern food...and Sancho approves of New Yasmeen Bakery. This is like deep South soul-food...except healthy and totally different tasting. The dessert selection is a mind-blower. They deserve six stars for being so affordable for the quality also.

  • Christine E.

So I went back for a second visit, and I'm beginning to see the light. Got some okra from here that was absolutely phenomenal, and brought home a bag of spinach pies (oval-shaped ones, not the triangle ones of my last visit) that had the perfect combination of spices. I binged like crazy after trying the first one - 12 pies gone in less than a week. So yes, my apologies for my first less-than-enthusiastic review. Seems I just wasn't trying the right things.

Great choice of Arab food. The tabouli and shawarma are great for lunch. They have the deli counter, a small dinning room, and a grocery store. "Real"

New Yasmeen serves an excellent selection of Middle Eastern foods. However, I generally stop in for their fresh, hot Arabic breads, Spanish cheese, lebneh, and Kalamata olives. They also have excellent olive oil from Lebanon. Great prices too!

I have been going to New Yasmeen Bakery for years, even when it was in a little store front before then current location. They have a great selection of arabic staples all made fresh on site. The dessert section is enough to put you in a diabetic coma by just walking by. I stopped in recently to pick up a few things for my GF's work pot luck lunch for the bosses birthday. I got some basics, Hummus, stuffed grape leaves w/ and w/o meat and pita bread. Ahhh the pita bread... the bread here is so fresh...made all day long... it is usually warm in the bag when you take it out of the basket. The women at the pot luck said it was the best hummus and pita they have had. Most had not had grape leaves before, there were none left at the end of the meal. I had a chicken shawarma made with the same bread, marinated chicken carved off the rotisserie as I watched and wrapped with same garlic sauce, pickle spear and pickled turnip. Finished off with a piece of fresh baclavia with lots of pistachios

I have been a fan of this place pre-Yelp, and always enjoyed everything...came here today, ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich, lentil soup, and little mini pizzas. I always enjoy them with the yogurt drink...shokran for the delicious food (I meant thank you).

I have been going to the Yasmeen since i was a little kid. I remember their first bakery which was big enough to hold about 5 people. The used to bake everything next door and then carry it in through the front door. My family has always cherished this place. Even when my grandpa flies in from Cali this is one of the first places he always goes. The newest location has an eatery so you can enjoy the food immediately!!!! This is a Top 5 must visit location!!!

Just had lunch at New Yasmeen Bakery. Everything looked so amazing it was hard to decide. I had the chicken shwarma plate (the small) Hummus and Cheese bread. I actually wanted a little cheese pie but he gave me the cheese bread. Everything was perfect. You can choose from three different kinds of rice. I had the one with meat. I normally do not eat meat but it looked so good. Everything was perfect and incredibly filling, considering it was the small plate. I am already dreaming about my next visit there and cannot wait to go back. I bought some really fresh pita to take home with toasted sesame seeds, I wish I wasn't full because I would be diving right in. All I can say is go!! You won't be sorry.

I love this place and would go everyday if I could! Amazing food, amazing prices. Sweets, meals, soups, groceries and much more all in one spot!! I can not rave enough about this place- just go there!!!!

  • Victoria K.

The rundown of the place.. It has two entrances. 1 to deli another to restaurant itself. It's very casual, with outside seating. Boyfriend got 2 eggplant stuffed in meat hot platter for $10 which came with meat rice. Anything extra you have to pay. I got chicken shwarma sandwich which was luke warm. This is where I started deducting stars... When I asked for extra garlic paste they have me a small container and charged .75c. I have not been charged for extra dressing especially when we dropped $30 on food. They also did not have honey balls, they said they ran out.. Unfortunate!! Another star deduction was for salad which was premade "fattoush" salad which was weighted after putting on a small plate and cost me about $4. Now don't get me wrong I don't complain if it's good food and quality is up there, but dang, weigh the salad? I thought that was a rip off..look how small it is in the picture below On a good note, eggplant was definitely the best I ever had and spinach pies were fresh and loaded with spinach. I will be back only for pies and hopefully they will have the honey balls to try then!

No long review needed. Go there. Order their chicken shawarma. Eat it. Immediately (shawarma does not travel well). When you float back to earth, take home some of their other delectables. ENJOY!!!

  • Andy S.

I recently started a new job by New Yasmeen and had been meaning to try it. You order everything at the food counter and can eat in the bakery or take it out. My expectations for their shawarma sandwiches were sky high considering their reputation. Well, I'm happy to report that it's as good as advertised. The absolute best chicken shawarma sandwich I have ever eaten and its not even close. Many middle eastern places will smother their sandwiches in garlic paste to cover up relatively bland chicken, and that's where New Yasmeen stands out -- they properly season the chicken and bring out all the right flavors to go with the garlic and pickles. Do yourself a favor and take home something sweet from the bakery as well.

It was very good, Fresh bread also. Cheese pies are amazing ask them for it well done!!!

  • Adrianna S.

This place has great food. Their shwarmas and pies are always excellent- fresh and warm! I've had several of their prepared foods such as grape leaves, hummus, etc. and have always been satisfied. The only reason I am rating this 4 stars and not 5 is due to cleanliness. Several times I have been there and the inside has been dirty such as unclean tables- makes me nervous. Last time I visited on 6/23/2015 the trash bins were overflowing and trash was all over the floor. There was no one in the store and the guys behind the counter were just chatting. Cleanliness is a big deal to me, so that stood out.

Oh how I wish I lived closer to this place. Loooooove the cheese/meat bread( both on the bread) I think it's called mashroohah??? Had one for lunch and then got three more to go , three meat breads and stewed spinach/ meat in a tangy broth- heavenly delish) for lunch dinner for the rest of the week. Yes, I will eat the same thing for a whole week! Lol I wish you could get these dishes in the restaurants. All of this for $26. The prices went up but still fair prices. I wish they added more grilled onion to their majadra. The service isn't very engaging, but they aren't rude. I try to get here as often as I can. Not busy during the day , during Ramadan.

This place is a weekly stop for Pita bread amongst other things. I love their cheese, meet and spinach pies. They also have great lunch options. I recently had the white rice topped with stuffed kousa and stew....it was DELICIOUS!!!! I also love to pick up my traditional Arabic coffee here...regular for mom and dad and cardamom flavored for me. Its like an espresso aka Turkish coffee...I'm addicted to the Najjar brand. The staff is so friendly and nice....always smiling and always willing to help by carrying out bags for you or bagging your bread order while you do your other shopping. The elder gentleman and scarved lady that are often behind the counter always make my day with beautiful words in Arabic that I kind of understand but I know are greetings of the utmost endearment. I look forward to seeing them with my weekly visits as they always put a smile in my heart. New Yasmeen bread is by far the best and yes I do travel far for it but the friendliness of this place makes it so worth while!!!

First of all, I gotta say that they've become quite expensive what for they're selling. They have their certain loss leaders like the ubiquitous shawarma sandwiches at $5, but start adding any kind of side, and a soda, and it gets expensive fast. Their green bean salad for example is ridiculously expensive, although good; although for the most part stay away from the various salads, and such, except for perhaps the hummus. The salads tend to sit for a long time, and are all soggy, too garlicky, and ultimately taste gross. The various pies, and entrees are good. I have noticed a decline in their baklava quality, however. One more than one occasion it tasted a bit rancid, and it was too soggy. Overall, I feel the general quality of the their foods has gone down. I've been frequenting this establishment for over 10 years, and have much basis for comparison...

I am significantly lowing my rating, because I have discovered that prices change depending on who you are. I and another person on two different days ordered the same thing (awameh) and were charged two different prices per pound by the same old man. I now think that old man's smile is a smirk. Bad business practices. I will never go back.

Let me taste them Babylonian salts earths treasure box on w. warren! Yum Yum what isn't good here? you tell me. Imagine if B.K wasn't a gum illusion but really that flame broiled taste to good to be true well it exist at this diddy. Best juice boxes that i can't spell. Beef Lamb Chicken Falafel cant go wrong chung. Sunday has never been so sacred, me and my boo love this place more than our twisted morals

  • Zak R.

Love it! Manooshe (spelling) sort of pizza, type sandwich is really good, but sometimes hit or miss regarding how generous they are with the cheese. Mashroohah (spelling) is mouth watering. The staff for the most part is friendly and helpful. The sweets they make are okay, not world shaking but tasty. They also serve hot food which I haven't tried except for the shawarma which was mediocre and not very generous. I think they excel at the manooshe!! We come from Toledo for just that! Give it a try, it is worth a stop in.

Bought few items, at cashier asked why so expensive. At home found out charged 2 times for same items. Returned to the store. Young arrogant man without apology returned money. I waste my time and gas to drive back, food was not fresh. Never again me or anyone from family will shop there. Place does not deserve one star.

I have been visiting this place for the last 3 years and I can't get enough of it. The flat cheese breads are full of cheese. Today I tried the flat bread with feta cheese, broccoli, olives, tomatoes and all I can say is I had to go back and order a second one. My favorite favorite this is the the diced potatoes, parsley, garlic, and the diced Orange spice pepper. Be prepared for the spice but I love it. The shawarma sandwiches are also great. I always have to buy of of the cheese pies for my nephew who takes them for lunch. Believe me this place is worth visiting.

New Yasmeen was my first introduction to Middle Eastern / Lebanese food in Southeast Michigan and always holds a place dear to my heart. I love that it's cafeteria style, so even if you're an uncultured lout like myself, you can point at something that looks particularly great and have them put it on your plate. The shawarmas and kaftas are great, the sides are delicious, and the bakery attached to the restaurant has some of the freshest breads and desserts I've ever tried. The prices are very reasonable - I usually get out of there for $6 for lunch. Atmosphere is a bustling loud cafeteria with plenty of long tables perfect for seating a large group. Definitely a must-see!

I love this place. I always have chicken shawarma with vegetable rice. Chicken is fresh and tastes awesome. I never tasted their cakes but, they look delicious. I had their baklawas and I think those are the best you can get.

I've been to my fair share of crappy eateries in Dearborn and this was not one of them. The customer service was fantastic - despite sticking out like a sore thumb in a city of middle easterners, the staff smiled at me like I was a dinner guest at their house. The beef shawarma is quite good; the shawarma isn't all greasy and fake like you'd get in a food court. It was quality beef put together nicely in a pita with vegetables. One of my favorite things was their cheese pastries, they're just simple little pitas with cheese on them. Somehow, something so simple can be insanely delicious. The desserts were good but not the best I've ever had. This market/bakery has a nice little store inside of it for products sold overseas.

Always an all time favorite. Their food is delicious. Specially their tabbouli & chicken shawarma sandwiches. And of course who doesn't stock up with 500 bags of bread when going there?! Staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is the best place in Dearborn. The highest quality Lebanese bakery in America which is why it makes sense that their bread is seen in Walmart stores and in arabic stores around the country. Amazing sweets and arabic breakfast food as well as sandwiches and other foods. They have online ordering so that you can get everything you need. The service is fast and high quality and the restaurant is one of the cleanest in Dearborn. I would recommend getting the date bread or ma3moul which is extremely authentic and tasty. They also have smoothies and coffee which makes it an excellent place to have breakfast. If you are driving through Dearborn I would stop here and bulk up on arabic bakery goods and sweets. Five stars.

As a bakery it is par excellence but that's not all, the shop is filled with Middle Eastern general merchandise and savories. Realistically it lives in the shadow of the more famous Shatila next door but I have no reason to believe that the quality of the bakeries is any lower. I recently catered from here for a party and everyone loved the food. Truth be told the selection of pastries is about half of Shatila and it does not have as an aesthetically pleasing of an interior but perhaps that's what gives it more of the hole-in-the-wall underdog charm.

Visiting the bakery is an extraordinary experience if you've never been to a middle eastern bakery; in which i haven't. There offer so many different things to look at. This bakery had started as a quiant shop and has now expanded and taken over several previous shops before. We came here for their cheese bread. They offer a variety of breads as well as sandwiches; schwarma, etc. We ordered the Za'atar, meat, and cheese bread. All three of these are all made to order and fresh. The best bread has to be the cheese bread. You get it and it's so soft and cheesy. The cheese melts and it's a delicious amalgamation of all things good. This is doubly delicious if you love a nice doughy pice of bread which is also cheesy. A must visit if you're in the area. The breads are incredible.

New Yasmeen provides fantastic baked goods. I stop here every time I am in Dearborn, because I cannot resist the smell of the Za'atar bread, the friendly and fast employees, and the weirdo (to me) selection of non alcoholic malted beverages. My typical order includes but is not limited to: Baba Ganough, Mini Pizzas, sanbousik (the cheese and parsley is unreal) Za'atar bread and cheese bread (which is thrown in the oven quickly and devoured almost immediately), a meat pie, a spinach pie, and a broccoli pie (the broccoli is my favorite!), and tabouli. After selecting one of the aforementioned strange beverages, which often make my gums tingle, the total never ends up to be more than 17 dollars or so. This is certainly enough for a few meals for myself, and is excellent to share for a picnic or a snack with friends. I've never tried the shawarma, but I see people order it in droves around lunchtime. Speaking of which, even if it is busy and you take a number, I have never had to wait more than five minutes to get prompt and understanding service. If you are confused by something in their display case, the employee will tell you about it. If you can't pronounce something, don't feel bad about asking. I'm sure they get it all the time. You really can't go wrong here- if you have someone to impress, this is the place to go. Take them or bring it to them, they will be happy. Just don't eat it all on the drive home.

New Yasmeen has been a staple for my family for as long as I can remember. I used to be so excited when my father would bring home cheese bread and spinach pies. We ended up moving a bit away and the frequency of those pretty much fell off completely. Now that I am older I constantly think of excused to head back to East Dearborn and stop in. Lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong here.

ENJOY!!!

I love this place and it's been consistently good since I was a kid. My mom used to take my sister and I there for a cheese pie after running errands some times. Their food is delicious and fresh and reasonably priced, and their desserts are beautiful.

Excellent!

I always love going here when I need a fast lunch. The meat and spinach pies are the greatest! As well as the Cheese and Zatar bread...they warm it up for you so it's never cold.

I work in Dearborn and eat here about once a week. Chicken shwarma is delicious, the pickles and garlic sauce make it. I love their hummus as well. I've had better fattoush, but everything New Yasmeen does is top notch, so I won't complain.

Great selection of products here, hummus and tabouleh are out this world. They have amazing flat bread from the oven, sooo good! I've liked all their pastry as well. Go early in the day if you go on the weekends, as they tend to run out of things fairly quickly.
