Best food in Dearborn and Dearborn heights! You can't really compare when it comes to their shawarma, subs, and cocktails.

I usually upload photos for my reviews but it's been a while since Ive been here. I was a good customer for a long time but the more I came into Ananas, the more I paid attention to details. I don't expect 5 Star customer service from a sub shop although there a some who do give that. This isn't my biggest concern. I can care less if the workers here don't greet and say thank you, whatever. As I said, I don't expect it from here. What I do expect though is an employee who pays attention to what he's doing. Ananas can't hide much from people seeing that they prepare the food right in front of you. Being this way, you would assume employees would be more cautious and aware. For example I'm making a sub. I have gloves on. The phone rings. I answer it. Pick up a pen. Take an order. At the same time a customer wants to pay. I handle the cash with the same gloves. Give them change. Answer another phone call. WITH THE SAME GLOVES. Go back and finish the sub. Wrap it up. Bring it your way to pay. STILL WEARING THE SAME GLOVES!!! That's terrible. It's not just one time, it's happened a few times. They're very unaware of what's going on. On top of all that, they have food everywhere. Lettuce is all over the counters they're working on. The tomatoes are mixed into what looks like meat. Crumbs and leftovers all over the place. I don't plan to give these guys another chance but if I did, I will update my review.

The best subs ever. I ordered over a half an hour before breaking my fast. They asked what time, drove down the street and had my chicken sub ready along with my brothers veggie and sujuk sub. Parking is problem, but have noticed to go during down time. Very clean, and the staff are very courteous.

The food is no better than any other sandwich place. If i was rating solely off the food I would have given 3 stars. The service is so bad it deserved 1 star. I understand that sometimes people have bad days, but I waited until I went there on 3 separate days. Each time I was worse than the last. They spend so much time taking care of carryout that they don't even start making your food until you've been there for 10-15 minutes. On one occasion I ordered a sandwich and waited for about 30 minutes before they came up to me and asked me what I needed. They then realized that they had made my order but put it aside to wait for someone to pick it up because they thought it was carry out. I got my food cold and soggy. Today was the last straw. I waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches, which is ridiculous because I was the only person there. About 15 minutes into my wait two other groups of people came in. They were both Arab and were served before I was. Jokes on them though, I am also Arab, I just may not look like it. I understood everything they said and it was evident that they were serving the Arab guests first. This isn't the guests fault, I'm sure they didn't even care, but the people behind the counter showed a blatant disregard for my order and myself. I will not be returning and I will make sure that I let everyone know that this place stinks. I'd rather go to Albasha subs, at least everyone gets treated the same there.

Really liked this place for its concept in Middle Easterner fast food. It was fast, fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. It would have been awesome if the menu stated what goes on the sandwiches. It would have been even more awesome if they let you choose the toppings you wanted on your sandwich, like a Subway or Chipotles. The only reason this place did not get a 5 star rating for me is because the demeanor of the staff. Friendly service with a smile is so hard to find in Middle Easterner restaurants unless you're Middle Easterner, which I am but I don't look it. I will definitely revisit this place because of the fresh food, natural ingredients and the general appearance of the dining area.

Try the chicken sub!! It's awesome. I have no idea why it's so good, but it just is. It comes with chicken breast pieces, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo, all in this bread that is grilled and crispy. It's all I have ever had from here, but for good reason. Every time I go to order something different, I remember how awesome the chicken sub is and I just get the same thing. They're always super busy, so you know it's fresh. Sometimes there is a wait, but I promise you it's worth it. I've eaten here about 10 times and it's usually the same guy who is designated to the cash and making the juices. He doesn't smile much, but his service is awesome. I usually get a side of fries with garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is pretty legit. As for drinks, I've had the mango smoothie and the fruit cocktail. They're both delicious. The place is kind of like a fast food joint, so don't expect a waiter. It's kind of small inside, but there's always a spot to sit and enjoy your meal.

Second review for this place, once again don't try the food as I didn't the second time around because I knew what to expect but their fruit cocktails chunks is on point. Fresh fruit, ricotta cheese, and a drizzle of honey. Amazing! I had to give them credit for this.

Nice place to go to if you're in the mood for trying out middle eastern sandwiches apart from shawarma. They have a very good selection of meats and vegetables and also fresh fruit juice to go with it. Take your time to go through their menu offerings and ask questions when in doubt. Service can be iffy depending on traffic but their subs and sandwiches are worth trying out.

If you're buying a sub in Dearborn, it will probably be toasted on french bread and drenched with mayo (which is delicious if you're wondering). Ananas beats all that the local competition has to offer. I usually order a half chicken sub and an order of curly fries. I live right around the block so I can't help but crave their subs when I smell fresh, seasoned chicken being grilled. The workers are always busy so its hard to get their attention but that usually means your food is ready faster. They're also open super late (2-3am).

Great food, but the service needs a compleat overhaul. Guys at the counter will keep you waiting a while before they ask for your order. Nevertheless, the great tasting food keeps me going back. I gave it 2 stars because of the terrible service.

The food is great and inexpensive. Ananas serves a great chicken shawarma pita wrap. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I came here once and it was very good so I came again with my family and it the most disgusting food. I ordered for myself one chicken sharwama and it had a bone in it. My wife sandwich also had a bone in it. Messed up our order. Will never go here again.

Now this is 'sub' HEAVEN. My Lebanese buddy brought out here after a so so night out. I am totally hooked, we both had the chicken sub & I'll say it was pure perfection. The toasted french bread w/ sesame seeds, the freshness of the tomatoes, pickles & other toppings. The chicken was prepared well & sitting in an awesome au jus waiting to get piled onto sandwiches. Normally this is not a place I would tell anyone about (I'd keep the secret, it's that good!) I know the location is kinda tuff goings but I encourage all of you to try it, going back tonight for a 'steak sub' tonight, lol...

Simply put, the best sub place in town. Their chicken sub is the most popular with the best taste. Always brings people back.
