This afternoon we unpacked the boxes, filled new cabinets and drawers with stuff we haven't seen in years and set out on a new adventure in corporat culture sameness. Yipee... Better? Not likely... Different? Well 30 minutes after our arrival we were told we talked too much and were too loud. Imagine that... co-worker valuing each others opinions enough that we actually choose to talk to each other in the office. Listen up folks, I do not collaborate quietly. These people are in for a rude awaking... Ahh, but there was something new, something different and something better. In a nearby hangout, the former and long closed KC's Dive bar stands a new and improved watering hole. 3 Nicks Sports Bar has half a dozen beers on tap and many more in the cooler. Not a micro-brewery, just the basics right now. Shots were generous. And the food here is good and priced right to attrach customers to sell beer. I had the 1/2 pound Bacon Cheesburger for $2.00. This hand made patty was something Her Burgermiester Tom F would be proud of. Add Onion Rings for $1.00, a pint of Killians for $3.00 and you are at $6.00 for a good bar burger , rings and a brew. Now that's what I'm talking about! Rodger and Clark enjoyed the Friday Fish Fry with the Perch and Chips dinner for $6.95. The Cod Fish and Chips dinner is $4.95. 3 Nicks Sports Bar. LCD TVs, juke box, pool table, dart boards, cold beer, good food and good prices. A great way to breakout of one rut and into another. *rim shot*

Really good, really cheap 1/2 lbs burger. $ 2 with mushrooms, swiss and grilled onions. I think you have to spend at least $ 2 in drinks to get that price. Its a neighborhood bar atmosphere, with a couple of pool tables. Our waitress was really nice and efficient. The boys would like her too as she had a really short skirt with fish net thigh highs on!

My husband and I went to the Dearborn bar. The waitress was friendly, the drinks where good and strong (only had two) and the burgers were great! The meat was was very tasty not the no flavor texture that so many places serve. There was a band setting up but we had another engagement to attend so we left before they were done setting up. My husband was so impressed that we will be going back for more!

I've been coming here since before it was part of the Three Nicks franchise, and I can say with no qualifications that the place has improved with the change of ownership. The food is the same as always, and the same as most Three Nicks offerings. Inexpensive bar food, done correctly, if slightly overcooked. The waitresses and bartenders are what make this bar. Prepare to be insulted, to hear foul-mouthed banter, and to be teased. Much like Ed Debevic's in Chicago, where you pay a premium price to be treated poorly, this place feels like you're a regular who the staff loves (but makes fun of) even on your first visit. The clientele is typical working class dive bar, which is right up my alley. The drink specials are great. Definitely check out this bar if you're in the area.

A decade of working in advertising has taught me the first rule of marketing is "know your brand." It's been a year of changes for 3 Nicks. Their two dollar burger is now in upwards of three dollars. The $3.25 big glass of beer is now $4.75. The $6 tab you could walk out of 3 Nicks with? It's now gone the way of the dodo. It's still a pretty good burger. But 3 Nicks has become a little less crowded at lunch time. In part because the 3 Nicks brand isn't half-dressed waitresses. It's cheap beer. This downgrade in my 3 Nicks Future Forecast felt warranted.

Has potential... Cheap beer, decent looking food... I was looking for the Purdue Wisconsin game and they honestly couldn't figure out how to get CBS on ONE of their frigging TVs... Fairly annoying and bush league... Waited for 20 min letting them fumble with it... Again potential but figure out how to work a remote. Don't Wayne your time...

Whoa!... Dive bar. But in a nice way. Lunch is real cheap here and it's not all that bad. $2 burgers fit the bill nicely. It's noisy so I can't understand why Craig M. would have been told to quiet down. The wait staff is fast and you can literally be in and out of here in 30 minutes with a beer buzz and a full belly. And when you're here, make sure you check out the onion rings. Although they're more expensive by weight than the burgers... they float wonderfully in their own grease and taste awesome. ..... and that can't be all bad.

Tired of going to B-Dubs after our Thursday night games, a couple teammates suggested hitting up 3 Nicks. From the outside it's a total dive bar, but that typically makes for a great experience. There's a jukebox to pick your favorite tunes and $2 burgers. The burgers - while not cooked to my ideal medium perfection - still taste great and have great flavor. I mean who's going to argue when you're getting a real burger for $2 versus a McDouble of questionable meet. The fries are great and the drinks are pretty good. The have specials every day and 3 dollar margaritas are always a good way to go. Friendly atmosphere and the staff is really friendly.
