I decided to come here with my mom and brother because we had a hankering for some morning bagels. We drove about 10 minutes from Novi/Wixom area to get here, which wasn't bad at all. We walked inside and were immediately impressed: there were so many different kinds of bagels and smears, plus a variety of espresso specialty drinks and a layout of flavored and classic brewed coffees (they had vanilla caramel, I will try that next time) and some yummy teas (sweetened, unsweetened, passion fruit mango). We ordered an Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese, a sesame bagel with cream cheese, a cinnamon sugar bagel with cream cheese, and a medium white chocolate mocha. The bill came to $12.12, but I had a coupon for one free bagel and smear, which brought the total down to $9.40, which wasn't bad at all. We all loved our bagels and the experience in general. The staff was great, the coffee was great, and the bagels were superb. I will be back!
The kids working here are terrible. They are rude, careless and rush you along. The girl at the register had a huge attitude and was super unfriendly. I will never stop here again. Do yourself a favor, skip this place and drive to another Einstein's.
Of bagel shop chains, I really like Einstein Bros. Mostly because they have my poppy seed bagel, and I guess that makes me somewhat of an opiate addict. This store is great. It's close to my parents' house. On a Saturday when we lacked power, we ended up going there right as they were closing and they still served us and they didn't rush us out. They have a pretzel bagel and it's really good. They have good sandwiches, too.

Great pizza and cheap beer. What more can you ask for?
I visit CJ's on occasion, and the brews are always great. My wife and I went to CJ's this weekend with family, and dined al fresco. It was a lot of fun, 'til the mosquitos come out - Yarr!! We had the Beer Batter Cheese Sticks and the Chicken Romano pizza. The cheese sticks were perfect. Lightly battered, and delicious. I consider myself a pizza freak, and the Chicken Romano pizza was great! It comes topped with chicken, oregano, basil, cheese, tomatoes, yellow mild banana peppers, red onions and parmesan cheese with a butter crust (pulled from the menu). Of course, we all had beer while we were there. Most of us got the American Wheat, and the Summer Wheat (seasonal). I loved the Summer Wheat - very refreshing and had just enough citrus kick, and at almost 7% abv, it was a smooth beer. Looking forward to going back. Only drawback from the evening was that they were out of growlers. Couldn't take any of CJ's beer home with me :0(
CJ's is nothing fancy or upscale but the draw is the beer which is brewed on location and is the freshest even compared to what I can make myself. Join the Mug Club and the glasses get bigger. The food is great except I don't care for the burgers(something with the seasoning) but the rest of the food is fine and generous portions. I recommend trying it out for a family dinner or belly up to the bar for a mug.

With a great view of Cooley Lake, this is a fun place to eat on a sunny evening. Both hubby and I started our meals with seafood bisque, which is worth a trip by itself. Hubby ordered the prime rib and I got the steak and shrimp stir fry. Both entrees were tasty. I ordered sweet potato fries on the side, which were nicely done and served with (yum!) honey mustard dipping sauce. So why only three stars? Hubby's salad was too limp to eat - that's a no-no that the waitress should have caught.
Worst bar configuration on the planet. Had to spend a ton on this custom built monstrosity. Obtrusive.
It's a great bar and grill with a up north feel. The ribs are a must and they do a $1.50 beer of the month that's available 7 days a week not just happy hour. They have live entertainment most days and when there is no band playing the bartenders will keep you company. Video games, pool tables and it's right on the waterfront.
