Super food. Great chicken and side dishes. Also a bar, if looking to have a beer with dinner. Would recommend.
Great whitefish; good burgers. And the atmosphere, while nothing fancy, is amazingly bright and clean for a small-town bar; it's a place you can bring kids. Service was friendly and prompt. While we have not yet enjoyed their breakfasts, we have been told that their breakfast menu is good. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add more Michigan beers to their lineup.
Nice local bar, stopped on the way back to metro Detroit from up north. Would def recommend the broasted chicken!! I'm a sucker for a bar wet burrito and this was above average. Friendly cook and bartender limited beer selection but cheap as hell. Looked like you could order buckets of the broasted chicken to go, if I lived closer I def would.

One wouldn't expect much from a bar on the outskirts of a tiny town in Central Michigan known mostly for Amish woodworking. But there's just something about Ruckle's Pier on Main Street in Clare Michigan that fits in with the up-north vacationing lifestyle. Bedecked with a nautical theme and lots of wooden modling, Ruckle's is the home to cheap beer in frosty mugs and some great food. I was impressed by my ham sub and also the ceasar salad, and not just because I have low standards for anything cooked in Clare. To be honest, I've had bad experiences in this city before, most notably and Town and Country where the buffet consisted of brown iceberg lettuce and spamsteak. Regardless, the food was good at Ruckle's. Good from a restaurant I didn't expect it from. Good for a bar. And just good. Also, my pints of beer were $1.45 each which is like the greatest thing since karaoke night in a hick-town, which by the way, this place has. Ruckle's also has a few small televisions, a decent -sized bar area and some pool tables. A cool place to stop by if you are in the area or just want to people watch on a late night.
Their burgers here are so yummy. Their pizza is the best ever! The staff is always friendly and quick to refill our drinks. Definitely a great place to eat in Clare!
Rode into Clare on a sleepy Monday night for early morning business. Searched for some decent local food on Yelp and I was encouraged by other reviews to pop in here. Definitely a local joint, but worth moving out of the comfort zone for this solo diner. If you are in the mood for a cold beer, good burger, and crispy fries, search no further! The staff was super attentive and didn't mind that I was just passing through town.

This is our go to pizza! When it's last minute "I don't want to cook" then it's Buccilli's in Clare. We have never been disappointed! Their salad bar and buffet are perfect for lunch and dinner. The soups are always good and who can say No to a cinnamon stick?! The staff are always friendly and helpful. A great hometown pizza place!
Decent spot on route home from up north. Pizza is ok to good range. Sub was better than the pizza. Very friendly staff. I'd stop here again on the way home but defiantly not in the 4 to 5 star "craving or looking forward to this place" range. More like "I'm hungry and this works." Definitely better than going through a chain place or FF.
Stopped here on our way back home from Higgins Lake. We all ate from pizza buffet. My husband really enjoyed the Split pea soup and my children loved the peanut butter/chocolate pizza and the oreo fluff. The salad/toppings appeared to be fresh and lots to choose from. There were several (6-8) pizza choices to choose from along with cheesy breadsticks and cinnamon breadsticks. The pizza is not great, but good. The service was excellent. Our waitress even asked if there was a specific pizza we would like them to make. Lastly, the price made it worth it! Soup, salad, pizza, breadsticks, dessert and beverage..... $9 for adults and $5 for kids.

Nice building, nice location. Servers seemed to be trying. Drinks in the bar were ok. A really loud long table of wasted people sitting on one side of the bar. The kids at the end of the table found them to be as droll as we did. From other reviewers, I can guess who these people were.
Size does matters...don't bother to order a martini at this bar. I ordered the chocolate martini and the bartender gave me a half a glass and when I said it's missing half she told me the glass was large. IT WAS A STANDARD SIZE MARTINI GLASS!
About 15 years ago I had an Easter Brunch here and remember it being pretty good, but for some reason had never been back until yesterday. For some reason they don't have their menu online except for the day by day Specials page, and based on the Yelp reviews I was hesitant, but I try to keep an open mind so I went. I'm glad I did! I'm guessing that the reviews here of careless and inattentive servers applies more to the conference side. All the servers in the bar/restaurant side seemed experienced and pretty well on top of things. The restaurant/bar does look a bit dated, but it seems appropriate for the building. We asked for menus at the bar just so we could make a snap judgement as to whether we wanted to stick around and eat or head to our plan B. The menu is a solid 6 pages longer than what was online and I saw SEVERAL things I really wanted to try so we stayed and got a table. They brought us our drinks and a complimentary bowl of popcorn. Strange, BUT it is a bar as much as a restaurant, so ok. Our server was friendly and told us about today's specials and her favorites. I love lamb and they have several lamb options which made me very excited. I decided to go for the Lamb Stew in an Irish Soda Bread Bowl (which plays into the city's claim to Irish heritage) and the Bean & Ham soup for my starter (redundant, but if it tastes good, I'm all for it!). It's been a super long time since I've had Irish Soda Bread, but I recall it as being very dense and almost cracker like so I figured the bowl wouldn't be getting eaten. The wife ordered the appetizer sampler which has a few house battered items, so I looked forward to that. My soup was very good with a nice smoky ham flavor and came with a slice of tasty baguette and butter. When the entrees arrived my stew looked fantastic and was overflowing from the bread bowl, which looked more like a traditional type bread bowl which actually made me happier than had it been an actual Soda Bread bowl. I immediately began dipping the top cap into the pool of gravy which was thinner than I prefer, but had a fantastic thyme and rosemary flavor. The lamb was tender as were the potatoes and carrots. Very good stuff! The hand breaded mushrooms and onion rings had a good flavor, but the batter was somehow hard. Almost chewy. Maybe too much flour? They could be perfect if they can correct that. If you're a beer fanatic like myself and are curious, they use Bud Light to make the batter with. The rest of the sampler platter was pretty standard. The house made marinara for the fried cheese was decent. Nice bright tomato flavor. I will definitely be coming back to sample the lamb chops and the French Dip among a few other items spotted on the menu.

Taco Bell married KFC and this is their love child. A bizarre experience to drive up and see both menus. If you don't know what you want, it is going to make it tougher, if you do know what you are "craving," you may have some buyer's remorse, which, considering it is fast food, you will probably have anyway at some point. Service was fast, Doritos Loco taco, or whatever it is called, was sort of interesting, but did not quite agree with me later. Again, fast food, it is what it is. The location makes it a quick on and off the highway, which is a plus when you don't have time to kill and just want to get where you are going.

My fiancé and I decided to stop is as we passed thru the area this evening. We were both quite pleased with the food and the service. It was better than I expected for a $10 buffet. The food wasn't dried out and over cooked and surprisingly flavorful. I opted to add on the 6 oz. sirloin for a $1. I was shocked at how tender it was considering the price. We will definitely be stopping back in next time we pass thru.
Hard to believe it cost our family of 4 $48 (before tip) for a lunch buffet, & that's without ordering anything extra from the (fake) grill. Even worse when the buffet is so filled with cheap food - chicken quarters, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, 2 other pasta options, etc. Not the restaurant's fault, but I felt really creepy when I briefly looked behind me as I was fixing my tacos, & see 3-4 people staring at me like I'm taking the last of the taco meat before their turn. The salad bar was better, & the only reason they got 2 stars. The dessert options looked nice, too bad the main courses were such a joke. At least we know never to stop by here again, you know it's bad when McDonald's is considered a better option.
Had less than stellar service the first time we were here a few weeks ago, but gave it another shot. Service was still non-existent, but on top of that, there good areas were littered with food scraps/garbage from sloppy people, sticky handles on serving utensils, etc. THEN...the ultimate. I caught a glimpse into the kitchen area (near the bathrooms) and took a picture. All I can say is RUN! If it isn't presentable in public view, imagine what it is like BEYOND public view. EW. Someone call the health department!!!!! ((I am posting a picture...go look at it))

I've gotten the breakfast buffet and everything is cooked great. The variety is pretty good too.
So they're busy, but I don't know why. Server was trying to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Apparently cook was too as my kids' hot dogs were still cold. Not impressed.
I would not recommend eating here. The food was not good. The items on the bar appeared and tasted to be past their prime. Appeared dirty in general. Silverware was filthy. Wait staff was disheveled. Overall impression: Tired and gross!

McDonald’s

Reviews:
This is the only McDonald's for miles around so they get lots of business. The downside to this is they are usually packed with people in the summer time. Wait times can exceed 30 minutes, (I know it's crazy) so keep this in mind if you're meeting other people there. Because they are so busy, the place is usually very dirty, bordering on filthy. The bathrooms are almost always a disaster. Imagine one toilet for the men's room after hundreds of people have used it. Yikes! The food orders are almost always wrong and very slow to arrive, so don't be in any hurry here. It's strange 'cause even on the odd occasion that there are few people, the service is still slow. The unique feature of this McDonald's is the occasional Amish boys who sit and watch the girls while drinking coffee, it's a hoot to see them pretend they aren't looking when the girls catch them.
