Want Lechon? Need it? Gotta have it? Drive, swim, run or bike...Doesn't matter! Just get here. Jess B's family was kind enough to indirectly introduce this place to me at a birthday party for her mom early this year. I'm guessing it was 30 pounds of (god I'm getting religious here) heaven. I've been privileged enough to crunch into amazing sweet and salty skin, dip the melting like butter pork meat into Lechon sauce and less than an hour later fight for any scrap of meat left if there is any. Today, I was lucky enough to join her family for a 2nd serving of this amazing meal. While attending a very large Filipino picnic and waiting for it to arrive I noticed more and more people getting a sense it was coming. We walked out to the car to help bring it in and as we arrived with this 20-25 pound beauty (120 dollars) it was as if Elvis had come back to life. A mob ensued and the mob were grabbing for the skin. I was lucky enough to snag some and I just can't think there is anything better than this flavor or texture. We are going to make a visit to this place soon as I think we can order smaller portions with sides, as least this is what I've been told. Can't wait.

The pancakes are too die for!! The service and food is great and they give you good portions for your money. Now I am not a fan of their homemade jam, it's not stellar, but everything else is great for breakfast. Going back for lunch and dinner. I'll keep you posted
I enjoyed this place so much that I brought a group with me on the next visit. I go out of my way to eat at this place. The "down home feel" is what's missing from most food places.
This place is great for breakfast. I love the assortment of breads and home fries. They have a sizable menu with a lot of variety. This place is consistent and local.

Stopped here on a whim on the way to a show. Standard soft serve fare with lightning fast service. I got the "dirt sundae" (small size only $1.99), and it came with cute candy eyes and a gummy worm mouth. I had to take a picture before eating it because it was so adorable. I am not often in this part of town, but if I was again I would stop by again.
Think of your favorite ice cream shoppe... Now think if it were 10x better.... And now you have Dairy Freezzz. 1. The Dirt Sundaes are every kid's favorite thing in the world! Need to win over a stepchild or niece/nephew? Dirt Sundae. 2. Boston Cooler.... Best thing in the world. 3. The Arctic Freezzz is WAY better than a Blizzard from DQ! I have been going here since I can remember. I love this place!
I love this place! I've been coming here for the past 18 years now! Best servers and for the times the prices aren't to bad either.

Great navy bean soup and the combo cornbread/pastrami sandwich was to die for! Carnigies and Kats in NY have nothing on this 1lb. Sandwich.
I do not understand the rave reviews given here. This was THE worst pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten. It was so dry I feel like it sat out to dry for a week to the point I almost choked on it. Save your money, go to House of Reuben or Louie's Ham and Corned Beef. This was a royal disappointment and waste of money.
Excellent breakfasts. Small restaurant clean, very friendly waitstaff. Great breakfasts, and bottomless coffee

Stosh’s Pizza

Reviews:
I have a very bizarre relationship with Stosh's, it started about a year ago. I was working in the area and checked yelp for some slice action. This place has some serious fans so I went to get my grub on. Got the 2 slice special with a pop and I was not impressed at all.....actually I was kinda pissed that I fell victim to the yelp hype, especially the "pretty girl" 5 star reviews that are my true kryptonite (talking to you, Katie and Michelle!) I was gonna come on here and call "bu11$#i+" on these folks. So, a couple of weeks later, I decide to give it another shot. I am not quite sure why, I was still working in the area and I just thought it would be convenient. This time lunch was good, really good....I am sure it was the same stuff as before but it had some type of crack to it this time that made me want to come back as soon as I could. It really doesn't help my addiction when the owner/manager(?) treats me like a longtime friend either. So, now I find myself making excuses to get out to Centerline just to get my slice fix. I have yet to try anything else, looking forward to grabbing a square and sticks one day. This lunch special is my favorite in the Detroit area, hands down.......prolly should throw a few more roni's on those bad boys, 3 goo cups per slice just doesn't cut it.....it also doesn't seem to deter these 5 stars. (I just purposely dropped my mic with open hand and authority)
Ok wait a second.... I just got my pizza and something is different. ...the fresh ingredients! Im not fancy with toppings, just like mushrooms. Its been months since my last pizza and what I just picked up was not the same. I definitely had canned mushrooms. Gross! Slick, smooth, no taste, no dark edges, wet sick canned mushrooms. Sauce had no flavor. What is going on Stosh's?????? Keep it real like you said you did. Grandma would not be happy! I will give it one more try...lets hope someone forgot to place the grocery order.
Really good pizza and cina sticks!! No beer though. Haha. Staff is super nice and quick. Thanks guys!!

China Villa

25019 Van Dyke Ave

Reviews:
My mom always took me here for lunch, so I kinda have a soft spot for this place. Kinda pricey dinner menu.
Can't beat the $4.99 lunch special. China Villa is in a strip mall in the tiny city of Centerline. It has the typical dark red booths and Asian decor complete with waving cats and fat Budda's. The service was fast and friendly. Everything was good except the almond boneless chicken was overdone and a tad too tough. I'd give it another try because everything other than the chicken being overdone was tasty.
This place was great! Right out of what I remember a good ol' fashioned Chinese Restaurant should be: Dark, red booths, quiet and fantastic Chinese favorites on the menu. I just bopped in for lunch because I don't do Quiznos (they measure the food on a gram scale like it's drugs or something) and there wasn't anything around and I see this sign in the window "$4.50 Lunch Special", I check my phone for the time aaaand i'm in a big red booth. Place was empty on a Saturday during lunch, but the carry out was constant. I mean like a person picking up an order every 5 minutes constant. They probably put a couple hundred into the register while I ate lunch. I got me some ABC, for those who need help: Almond Boneless Chicken. It's like a test for me to see if a place is up to snuff. Everyone has this classic on the menu, but not all ABC is the same. This one was fantastic, just the way I remember it as a kid. Gravy was thick, chicken was moist and battered to perfection and nice fluffy rice. The waitress, I think an owner, was fantastic and she took very good care of me and the chef (definitely an owner) was very pleasant as well. Get a carry-out or bring a date for some old school fav's, you can't go wrong either way.

Te Roma Inc

Reviews:
I lived in Center Line for a little over a year, in walking distance to this restaurant/ bar, it was a blessing! At first I was apprehensive since the city is not known for quality restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised. The servers are super friendly. I enjoy that there are always about 10 different types of homemade soup available and fish specials on the weekend or tacos, pizza deals, etc. The burgers and nachos are quite good there too. For a small place Te Roma has a plethora of bottled craft beers ! Sometimes they have Yuengling which is hard to find around these parts too. Downside: Sometimes music is really loud, they have a juke box. ...but its never really a huge deal. This is a local blue collar bar, yet the menu is kid friendly, I see a lot of families eating her early in the evening. Its a good place to watch sports too . They also have free handheld trivia and keno, etc . lottery machine if you are into that ( seems to be popular there )
Terrible service. Sub-par food. Every waitress in this bar looked horrible and acted as trashy as they looked. They were all more into their phones than any of the customers. I am extremely disappointed in this place and do NOT plan on returning after this visit.
So glad I stumbled upon this place! Super delicious, fresh, made from scratch food. You cannot go wrong with the burgers, soups or pizza. The lunch specials are amazing. Sign up for their email list to get daily specials. The dill pickle soup is as good if not better than what you can get in Hamtramck. I've tried over a half dozen different soups and have been thrilled with every kind. The prices are beyond reasonable and the service is very fast and friendly. Te Roma has become my go to place for work lunches and after work carryout for nights we don't cook. Love, love, love Te Roma. Yum!

I had breakfast here a while back and it was pretty tasty. It was completely empty at 8:30 in the morning but that could be because folks were already at their jobs for the day. Anyways I would definitely recommend the breakfast options here. Coffee was OK. Service was very pleasant. I'd come back if I was on that side of town.
Love this Coney Island! The servers are very nice and the food is great. The broasted chicken is delicious. Burgers and fries are a winner as well. I haven't tried the Coney Island hot dogs simply because I don't care for hot dogs. The prices are very reasonable and they are open 24 hours. They also have excellent breakfast that they serve 24 hours. Imo this place blows National Coney Island out of the water.
Great service and vast menu choices. Staff friendly and welcoming to patrons. Visited with my family (party of 12) and server expertly handled orders and Chef came out to greet us. Breakfast offerings were fantastic! We experienced French toast, pancakes, hashbrowns, New York Strip, eggs to order and much more. So good, we came back for lunch!
