L George’s Coney Island Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

If you are a looking for quick, hearty meal, I would say this is the place. Everytime I had driven past this restaurant it had been packed. I thought it would be smart to come for a visit on a Friday. I was wrong. The parking was packed and the restaurant hardly had an empty spot. I ended up at the counter and was quickly given a menu and asked if I wanted a cup of coffee. The coffee was your normal coney island fare.. Not very good (if you are a coffee snob like me). It was watered down and weak (but the only caffeine I had consumed all day, so I took it). The waitress was kind, but stood over me waiting for me to peruse the veryy lengthy menu. I felt like there was a rush for me to order.... I ended up on a breakfast special that included eggs, meat, hashbrowns (or grits) and toast... The eggs were cooked well, but were overly greasy. I ordered bacon crispy (I was asked how I wanted it), but it was drier than heck. The hashbrowns were plentiful, but bland. After I put an excessive amountt of table salt over them I found them tolerable. The toast was ok. Not enough butter... Pretty dry. Given the complaints it was a good amount of food for the cost! The service was very good. The wait staff were so kind and calling everyone "honey, sweetie and baby". It made everyone feel like a "regular". I didn't care for my breakfast, but I would try this place again.. They have a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, omlettes, pancakes, soups, burgers, gyro's and everything else you would expect from a coney island.... I "heart" Metro Detroit.

I been there many times and find myself ordering the same thing. Not only is their turkey club sandwich the best tasting, it's the biggest club sandwich I've ever had.

This is an outstanding breakfast/lunch joint. This is one of the rare places where the quantity of food you get equals the quality of the dish. The Corned Beef Hash is by far the best breakfast has I have ever eaten in my life

I've just moved into the area, and passed this place more than once. Let me say; the food comes out fast, hot and fresh. From order to table, 5 to 8 minutes. The waitress are friendly. This will be my go to place for breakfast.......The only knock on this restaurant is the cashier, most of the times while paying my bill, I'm greeted with a reference of how my meal was and thank you.....Well not this time, the young lady, ID as Maria needs a refresher course in "Customer Service". Instead of making eye contact, and asking if everything was good....she thought it more important to dance and interact with one of the cooks through the window. At no point did she verbally acknowledge me standing there. This caused the L. George 3 stars, my experience with the food and waitress was great, but as you know........ it's the complete experience, that makes me a loyal customer. Overall my experience was 7 out 10

I love breakfast. I love "big" breakfast. I love L George. This is the only Coney I will go to period. You should get your name on the wall if you can finish the omelette. Sitting at a stool at the counter you can see what comes out of the kitchen and it all looks great. Always busy on the weekend, but they are fast, efficient, friendly, and priced right for what you get. Recommended.

The waitress left wet tables and laid clean napkins on it. And she got argumentative when we told her she didnt get the right order. Her response was "we are busy and what you want us to do about it".

Hair in my food - waitress and mgmt did nothing! This is Tina. I ordered a gyro with fries and cup of soup Half way thru my meal i found a black 3 inch hair on edge of plate near but not touching fries. Chantel, my waitress showed up. I showed her the hair - she took it away after apologizing and said the mgmt won't comp anything but would have replaced fries if i said something earlier. She asked if i saved room for desert. I said sure if its on the house from the hair in my fries! She apologized and reiterated mgmt wont agree to that yet she didn't walk away to ask. Then she drops the bill off. Here is what insulted me - she actually charged me an extra 50 cents for extra sauce I ordered. Any other place would have at verrry least removed the 50 cent charge! When i asked her about this she said she "showed the hair to the people she works with and they were stumped at whose hair it could be and didn't think it was any of theirs." (Yet 5 of the 6 waitresses had dark hair and all the cooks I noticed had dark hair as well). I went up to the front register to pay where 5 female employees, including Chantel and maybe the owners wife, were standing huddled. Nobody did anything with my bill - but I didn't bring it up again. I know it was an accident - however the way it was handled bothered me. Therefore I decided to offer myself a $2.50 discount at checkout. I simply kept the tip I was going to give the waitress.

Fast and polite service. Plenty of staff and our water glass was never empty. The inside is very roomy and great for us claustrophobic folks. We got the organic spinach grilled chicken salad and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken gumbo was also magnificent.

Great Food, Good prices. I am from Detroit, so i would like to think of myself as a "Coney Island expert" and trust me this is probably one of the 5 best around. Big portions in food, so many food choices, Excellent taste, good service, etc. They have it all (except a bar in it). So yeah if your trying to be cheap and get full value out your money, this is the place to go to and trust me you got to go into detroit to get coney island at least on the level of this.

Everyone has their own favorite breakfast places and I'm no exception. Since moving to the Canton area from downriver, the best breakfast I've had is actually a throwback to when I used to work on the Berkley/Southfield border... when I saw the L George's here on Michigan Ave, it reminded me that the L George's on Greenfield had the best carryout omelets ever and that was reinforced by L George's here in Canton. Come here on a weekend morning and you'll have to either wait a half hour or get carryout and take it home because it's ALWAYS packed. The reason is they have amazing breakfasts... huge portions (seriously, my wife and I can split a mushroom cheese omelet, and the hash browns and still have leftovers) and tasty food. Of course, it's diner/coney style, but it's still slightly greasy deliciousness. It's nothing special, but a huge, hot omelette any way you like it, a mountain of hashbrowns and whatever meat you pick always hits the spot. I don't know how they make money (super fast, friendly service [for me anyways], and super fast turnover i guess), but the omelettes are 5 star for me. Other good options include the reuben, and the coney dogs are pretty standard compared to all the other coney places. But since they are similarly priced as similar places up by Ford Rd, for us south Canton'ers, we can stay away from that traffic mess. They also have good fried appetizers such as fried mushrooms and standards such as chicken wing dings that are prepared freshly and quickly. The only minor drawback is that the fries are not that good if you carry out- they get soft and soggy in about 2 minutes... but get hash browns or mashed potatoes instead and I never complain when the wife suggests L George's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I don't know how the other locations compare, but in terms of value, deliciousness, and fast service, don't be surprised that if you go, you might have to wait in line because Canton doesn't have a ton of better options (for breakfast and coneys anyway).

Food was good, flavorful home style cooking. The service was excellent. Even with the place packed, the server was quick with beverages, refills and checked back on our group frequently. The portions are large, so come hungry or an for leftovers. Prices reasonable.

This place is totally awesome. When they first opened, I thought: "Not another Coney Island! Enough already!" Boy was I wrong. The food is delicious, and the wait staff are fab. I highly recommend the gyro. I give it five yum-yums.

Love there Breakfast. Omelette are big enough to share. My husband and I go for breakfast almost every Saturday or Sunday. Delicious. Always a long line but not a bad wait.

Very good, as coney joints go. Tasty food. Big portions. Always busy. One thing I notice is a surly waitstaff. Probably trickles down from management.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for breakfast one morning after dropping his car off at a nearby shop. We sat ourselves, a waitress was promptly at our table and the food arrived quickly regardless of the fact that the place was about 2/3's full. The waitress was just attentive enough for us to not feel neglected nor annoyed. Perfect balance. They give you plenty of food. Neither of us were able to finish all of our food. My boyfriend was thrilled when his side of bacon came with like 5 or 6 pieces as opposed to the three pieces you get at most Coney Islands. My side of turkey sausage only came with two though. Weird. I ordered a spinach and feta omelet. I have ordered this at many places and the spinach is usually diced up and cooked into the eggs. The omelet here was just STUFFED with spinach. Way too much. Large pieces of spinach. It was weird. I couldn't eat it. It would of been fine if they would of gave me just a third of the spinach they did and cut it more finely. Overall, everything was pretty good with the exception of that omelet. We'll probably find ourselves here again from time to time.

Had the corned beef sandwich on onion roll which was very good. The portions of meals that were flying past me at the counter on their way to the tables looked quite reasonable and the food looked delicious. I cannot wait to sample some more of their fair. I hear the Jays Pita sandwich is the whip.

My daughter has been trying to get me to go here for a year. When we pulled up and had to wait for 4 cars to pull in ahead of us I knew we were going to a great restaurant. Service was awesome, food was great and prices low. Other then one waitress that loves Ohio State it was the perfect experience.. Ok, she was funny also,,,,

This is the best Coney Island in Canton! I love this place. it's a little bit out of the way but we get there every now and again. Portions are huge, food is tasty, prices are reasonable and service is always friendly and prompt.

  • Michael S.

Yes the food is great. But they are starting to nickel and dime the customers. I have noticed the carry out boxes and portions are a just a little bit smaller, and today the waitress told me that my second salad dressing would be 35 cents!!! So this is how its going to be after local residents help this place become successful? Whats next are we going to have to pay to park on the lot?

Easy, breezy, tasty Coney Island restaurant outside the Detroit city limits. No complaints.

My family and I eat here almost every Sunday before going to church. The only thing I sometimes don't enjoy is the small wait to be seated as everyone loves there food and their prices are not bad either. They serve you promptly and the kitchen help is very fast. I believe both the owners work at the restaurant as does their son who is a busboy. The "Mom" works the cash register and sometimes helps to seat customers. The "Dad" works in the kitchen area. Many TV's to watch!! Two thumbs up for this establishment!!!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant out for a while now. We drove by on a Sunday morning and the parking lot was packed!! We were going to go somewhere else, but circled back and parked next door. (We found out they are adding 70 parking spaces shortly.) Glad we came back. My wife went inside and was seated right away. We both ordered omelets and the kids had pancakes and french toast. The food was at our table in about 5 minutes!! Portions are huge and the food tasted really good. Our server was friendly and was always filling up our coffees. The menu has a lot to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. I'm used to paying quite a bit more at chain restaurants. We will be back...

Holy portions Batman. This place is clean, new, and I didn't smell like a coney when I left. My friends little boy was well tended to, even though he as a toddler made a bit of a mess. The waitstaff and team are attentive and pleasant. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary..huge menu! I'll go back again, and even though Sunday was packed with lots of post-church goers (I wasn't one of them), we were quickly seated and served. The only negative? The parking lot was a bit small, and trying to manuever my parent's H-Cap van was a bit of a challenge. Add to that the gent that flipped me the bird AND his horn from his rebel flag F-250, it made parking less than desirable. Overall a pleasant experience. Oh, and Happy Holidays to the guy in the F-250. Peace on Earth, dude.

What's not to like? Fast, efficient service. My coffee cup never went empty (almost a bad thing, because I was tripping caffeine balls by the end of breakfast). The breakfast gravy has a nice kick to it that's lacking at other breakfast joints. I love this place.

  • Friend of D.

Place is always packed, but man are they efficient. Food has always been fresh and hot. I am amazed at these Coney places. They have a menu that is 5 pages long and can stock the ingredients for everything! It is very comparable to Leo's, in my opinion.

This place bangs out food like no tomorrow. Portions are enormous typically resulting in the styrofoam container ballet. Service is great across the board. Breakfast all day, everyday. Salads, soups, sandwiches, it's all spot on. My 4 year old digs this place too which is bonus. Great value.

  • Bill B.

Great place for lunch - always busy and with good reason. Not fancy, just good food. I love the coney taco, my wife enjoys the tuna fish and the mac and cheese. If you come after 12:30 you can usually get a table without waiting.

very delicious... we had take-out the chicken kabob dinner and a gyro sandwich... they were both awesome the quality of chicken was great and the marinade was awesome, grilled perfect even the vegetables on the skewer were awesome too... the gyro sandwich is awesome with the meat, i think it is from a rotisserie, and the sauce and pita.. the rice was tasty also and also came with awesome fresh made tomato sauce and bread!!!! very very good, we are happy to have this place close to our home... thanks!!!! portions were great too and price was very reasonable...

The people are great the place is clean, food is good and the prices are right. I'm from Ann Arbor but live in Phoenix now but whenever we come to town we head straight for L George's Coney Island. We need one here in Phoenix in the South Mountain Area or close to the Airport ( Hint Hint) . Thanks for making our visit at home so enjoyable we brought our family there for breakfast.

My long-standing, go-to for breakfast. Seriously, I rarely cook breakfast at home anymore. I'm a regular here. The kitchen and wait-staff work together like a well-oiled machine. Food is out hot, fresh, and fast. Portions are plentiful, and food is good. Weekday specials are a definite bargain, and this Southern girl appreciates a Coney that can make good grits! For lunch, their specials, salads, and sandwiches are equally as good. I recommend the Chicken Gumbo and the Turkey Rueben, or a large Greek Salad with chicken. - enough to take some home for lunch the next day. Burgers are big, fries are good, and the rice pudding is great too. Parking is convenient, and the price is right. If there's a line when you walk in the door, don't leave. The hostesses are efficient and it moves very quickly.

  • Jennifer Y.

I come here solely for convenience. The food is mediocre at best even if they get your order right. Usually eggs are not served as ordered, hash browns or potatoes are under or overdone, and veggies in a breakfast scramble are always barely cooked. But I do give the staff credit here, hence the 2 stars. The woman who run this place are on top of it. It is always packed and they turn tables quickly. Food comes out of the kitchen quickly, maybe too quickly (my bacon was barely cooked and still rubbery). And even during a crazy busy Sunday morning brunch time, they herd food and customers in and out like true American cowboys herding their cattle.

Hey all!! Well I gave this place 3 stars because my husband really enjoyed his meal. Also because our waitress was really nice! I don't remember her name because they don't have name tags! But she had longer hair and a medical brace on her elbow! She was so awesome that when I said that I didn't really like my meal, she offered me anything else but when I said "no thank you" , she gave me another English muffin so I wouldn't be hungry! Yes, she was awesome!! So I gave them 3 stars for her kindness! Also, my husband got an omlette with corned beef and cheddar. He loved every bite and he says that it is real shaved corned beef, not fake!! Now as for me, I'm just a bit more picky! First we sat down at the counter because it was so busy. My menu had food crusted on it. That totally grossed me out!! So I ordered a "farmers omlette" and it came very quickly but after one bite, I was just grossed out by how mushy and thick the had Browns were inside of it! They we're about 4" thick!!!! No kidding!! It was a paper thin layer of egg with approx. a 1/2 pound of ham chunks , cheese and then the enormous mound of mushy potatoes! After my English muffin, which was good, by the way, I headed to the restroom to wash my hands! I'm sorry but there were only 2 stalls & there were several 2-3" gaps, where people in line and a little girl were looking through at the poor lady inside!!! We left and sorry but I won't be back ! If you like huge portions at a "dirty....greasy/spoon" kind of restaurant, then you'll love this place!! Just not my bag but still in trying to keep an open mind for others who enjoy that sort of thing....I gave it 3 stars!! Also prices were absolutely awesome! My huge omlette and English muffin were only 5.99!!!

    L. George's coney island offers a lively diner with speedy service and tasty options. The diner can hold a large crowd and serve their customers quickly. I ordered the chicken stir fry. Huge portion so I had leftovers. Score!

I have revisited here a few times since the first review and thought it was worthy of updating. The staff here is clearly on the ball. Everything is dealt with in an efficient manner. The food here is remarkably consistent. Huge portions too. The interior is airy and there is plenty of room, you will not feel crowded or anything. I like these things. I love the soups. The salads are all really delicious. The omelets are ginormous and I like that you can add hash browns for a buck but do not get them automatically. You don't need them, the omelets are plenty, you probably will not finish it in one serving. The one with country gravy is the hubs fave but any are terrific. We can split one (it comes with toast) and a salad (that comes with a grilled pita) and still take home things. I also like the corned beef here a lot. Either of the sammies are good and huge. You get more on the rye than the onion roll I think but less is still plenty. The corned beef hash can feed two people and is also delicious. Lots of corned beef in sliced pieces and perfectly cooked potatoes. Yum. This isn't that canned crap. The turkey club is good as is the turkey Rueben. Gyros are decent as is the chicken stir fry. The wing ding dinner is popular and they had some nice spinach pie on one occasion. They have a burger called Dave's burger that is 3/4 lb of hand pattied meat covered in double cheese and bacon, yeah it looks like a hubcap on a bun. The variety is such that even an anti coney place type like my hubby (he hates coneys, coney chili, gyros and all greek food) can find plenty to pick from. One night he even had a decent sirloin. Heck you can get a 1/2 pound salmon filet dinner with all the fixings for eleven bucks, and it's good! It is cheap as chips here, big plenty and you will be in and out in a timely manner. You will not think it is gourmet or fancy but it is still quite good. A happy joint. When we can't decide what to eat we end up here, we always leave pleased with a to go box to boot. Oh and they now have decent iced tea :)

After hearing so much about L George's, I decided to make the trip there for breakfast. It didn't really live up to the hype, though that may be the hype's fault. It's a pretty good Coney Island, but that's about it. I had the broccoli/cheese omelet. iI was pretty good, but I wondered where all the water came from. The rye toast was a little better than I usually get, but the hash browns were typical. Coffee was not bad. The price for all of this was very nice, but I paid more for quantity than quality. The place itself was nice and open. It was clean and well lit. Pleasing to the eye. The best part of my experience was the service. My waitress was very efficient and my food came out super fast and not because it was undercooked. All in all, my normal breakfast place, Wolverine Grill, has this place beat by a mile.

I have become a regular, my neighbor visits 3-4 times a week. Very busy but rapid, courteous service always. Ultra clean restrooms. I am in a wheelhair so accommodations are very important to me. They are great. Staff is very polite, helpful. Handicap access is very good too. The soups are good, so are chili-fries. Generous portions, quick and reasonable prices.

The first thing I noticed was the parking lot was beyond full! The second was when I walked in. There were about 20 people waiting to be seated, and it was LOUD! Basically a very open space crammed to the gills with seats in every possible space, and everyone talking in their loudest outside voices (especially the staff). Not a place to relax to be sure! I sat at the counter and ordered a breakfast with a 1/2 side of sausage gravy & biscuits. The eggs were cooked just right, the ham was a great cut with very little fat, and the mountain-o-hash browns were plentiful & tasty. The B&G were pretty good, with red pepper flakes cooked into the gravy the way I like it. The food all in all was pretty good, and not a bad value. The noise & atmosphere was another thing altogether. The service was pretty poor too, for having 20 or so waitresses working.

This is the BEST (and I don't use this word loosely) Coney Island I have ever ate at. It is a beautiful, clean, friendly mom and pop owned. The owners and staff are amazing. I have never had a negative experience at this restaurant. The food is amazing and PLENTIFUL! My family and I are always acknowledged on a first name basis whenever we go to L. Georges. You will not be disappointed!

My favorite Coney. Large portions, reasonable prices (actually cheap pricing on many items), great staff, quick service with food served hot straight from the kitchen. I have several favorites but I do enjoy the breakfast menu. Mushroom omelete, hashbrowns and a side of pancakes. Yum! I have always enjoyed meals here. Never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

L George's is a good Coney Island and a lot like the one further East on Michigan Avenue in Wayne. The Combo Salads are big and filled with extras as ordered and the Rueben Sandwich with Fries was very good with plenty of corned beef. The service was friendly and capable. We had a pleasant and filling lunch. I'll be back, 4 stars...

Pretty darn good chow. The service can be average but the steak omelette and heck, steak sandwiches are awesome. Great soups too. Not known for decor or ambiance but worth the $10 for lunch.

What a great place, courteous staff and great food...every time! The portions are large and the food is tremendous. We do not go out to eat often and when we do its a special occasion. It's hard to find a restaurant that when you leave you don't think, I could've made it better at home! Not to mention regret spending a fortune to feed your family at the typical chain restaurant. At L. George's we are happy to give them our money. The quality and service is outstanding. Keep it up! Great experience!

Coney Islands aren't so much about the food as they are about the atmosphere and people you surround yourself with. That being said, the food isn't bad either. Since its opening, I haven't seen a weekend morning/brunch/lunch when the parking lot hasn't been packed. There's good reason for that- the staff is helpful, full of personality (the good kind, not the kind mom told you about her friend's daughter), and plentiful. Very plentiful. Honestly, there's probably a 1 to 6 waitress to patron ratio. As with most Coneys, the density of the menu rivals most novels. I'm all for choice though, so I support a phonebook-sized menu any day. Favorites include: *The French Toast - Christ Almighty, 6 pieces of toast make for a breakfasty heaven. *Gyro - Obvious choice. Plenty of meat wrapped in a fluffy pita. *Greek Salad - Quite possibly the best Greek in Canton. I love this place. Every time I'm home for a weekend, I make it a point to grab breakfast with the guys and make fun of the waitresses, because hell, they make fun of us.

This is more of a 3.5 star review, and may truly drift up as I try more items. This is a detroit coney island chain inside a brand spanking new building on Michigan ave. They have everything you can expect from a coney island from breakfast, coney island hotdogs, greek salads, etc. Ok onto the food, the coney island hot dog was actually pretty good. It was a little larger in size than what i'm used to, and the chili was particularly beefy and almost creamy in a good way. My small greek salad was also on the "big boy" size and was filled with all the typical goodies. The only problem is i'm a bit to spoiled these days for a pure iceburg lettuce salad, and the greek dressing didn't taste good to me. Probably suggest the italian or something.... $7 dollars for a a lot of food. Update: had to drop things by a star. Have gone on two different Saturdays, and this place gets ridiculously slammed. So much, that it's pretty uncomfortable. Breakfast was just ok, but our toast looked like it had half a cup of butter on it.

I was absolutely shocked when reading through the comments that nobody ever mentioned the Corn-beef Hash. I am so predictable that I order this breakfast, lunch. or dinner - it really is that good. They start with a healthy portion of hash browns. They mix in onions and bell peppers and a large portion of the sliced corn beef they use in their sandwiches. Comes to you quickly as a steaming pile of goodness covered with three big eggs and toast. Be liberal with the pepper, ketchup and Frank's hot sauce. It blows my mind every single time. I think I know where I am going to dinner tonight.

This is by far the best coney restaurant in the area. They have the best chicken salads around. We order salads frequently and L Georges is not that close to our home, but we will go out of the way for them. I have tried multiple restaurants that are closer to home but they don't compare, not even close. Their omlets are also amazing. They have a ton of filling in them and they are huge. I am a big eater but I never finish all of mine. There has never been anything that my family has ordered from here that has been a disappointment.

Beautiful weather for St Patrick's Day yesterday. Good excuse to get out for lunch. This place is my Monday-Friday lunch spot. At least monthly I can be found munching on the Greek Grilled Chicken or Turkey salads. These salads are always fresh to the point of certifiable. Crispness with a crunch. Yes, really truly! But on this day I tried the special. You know it, corned beef and cabbage. Much to my surprise I loved it! Couldn't be more pleased. The corned beef was tender. The cabbage, carrots and potatoes were not over cooked. Irish cook cudos are deserved. I find the waitstaff to always be friendly. The food to be served up fresh and rapidly. Note: If going for M-F lunch, go early or late. The parking lot is huge, but fills up quickly.

We've eaten breakfast & lunch @ the Canton location several times each and have not yet been disappointed. My sister-in-law called from a table on St Patty's Day and advised that she and hubby were enjoying the best corned beef & cabbage they had ever experienced. Since I am weak-willed when it comes to enjoying good food, 20 minutes later found us seated and ready to order the CB & C. When the waitress was bringing our plates to serve us, my 1st thought was why is she bringing the entire beef brisket to our table? Is she going to slice off our portions and return the rest to the kitchen? In a word.... no. The corned beef was sliced in 3 huge slabs per plate (2"x2"x8") and complimented with a 1/4 wedge of cabbage, redskin potatoes, and carrots. A smaller plate per diner had garlic bread and a mini tub of horseradish. We truly could have been totally satisfied with one dinner order and silverware for two. The food was excellent and to go boxes were requested at the end or our over-consumed meal. Most times the waitstaff are friendly and very attentive, however today's waitress was quick with the beverages and food, but never returned for a refill. I caught her at the cash register after about 10 minutes and asked her for a refill. She returned, but did not seem happy with my seeking her out for the service. We will again eat & enjoy the food fare they offer.

Humongous portions. I ordered the House omelette for my dinner and It came out looking bigger than my 4 year old's head. 4 eggs and packed with meaty goodness (bacon, sausage, ham) and cheese. Oh... My.... Lord... It was huge. I ate the whole thing. Really, I did. I may not eat again for a few days. It was pretty tasty too. But really, what can be all that unusual about an omelette? They just turned the portion size up to 11. The others in my party were happy too. Fairly typical Coney fare - hot dogs, fries, chicken strips, chili, etc. All thoroughly decent, but nothing stellar other than portion sizes. The food came out incredibly fast. I mean very very fast! Also, the place was quite clean, quite crowded, and the waitress was very good. Price was reasonable too. We had a party of 6 and we were happy to find a big section towards the back dedicated to large tables. This was our first visit (we've tried before but the parking lot has always been packed), and we'll probably be back if we're ever in the mood for reasonaby-priced, overstuffed, and decent quality Coney stuff while on that side of town.

This establishment has been around for less than a year at this location but you wouldn't think so with the amount of people packing the place out. The bacon cheeseburger special is excellent as well as the wing ding dinner. Important to note, they give such healthy portions for a reasonable price. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner and haven't been disappointed yet! Parking can become challenging when the place is full. I would recommend this to anyone who likes your typical coney island menu.

Great salads and omelets. That's all I usually get there but it's always good. Huge portions too so you always have something to eat later. Staff seems friendly enough but I've never actually eaten there, just stop in to pick up something on the way in to work.

I stopped here after I dropped a friend off at Detroit Metro Airport early in the morning on a Sunday. WOW! The place was packed and it was big and clean. The menu was fairly typical of a family/coney style place. But the food values were much better than I expected. I had a Greek Omelet and it had to have four or more eggs. It was stuffed with Gyros meat, Feta cheese, grilled onions and grilled green peppers. It was fantastic. It came with toast and I ordered hash browns too. This meal could have served two or three people. I finished it out of sheer stubbornness. They had great other egg preparations and they included a House Special Omelet that contained ground beef, a Steak Omelet and many others. They also had the usual pancakes etc. While I was waiting to be served, which didn't take very long, I read the menu and saw that they have a big assortment of sandwiches, salads and main dishes too. The full parking lot was a strong pre-endorsement of this restaurant, but my endorsement was based on the consumption. It was great. Service at the well-staffed restaurant was friendly and efficient and my coffee cup never was allowed to get less than half full. My waitress smiled and seemed eager to serve. I was greeted when I was seated and the checkout person wanted to know if I enjoyed my meal. These folks have their act together.

This was my first visit here. I've driven by this place many times and saw it was packed. I had the small chicken greek salad. When the salad came to the table I was amazed at how much chicken was on the salad. The chicken was also grilled to perfection with a light brown color, it was also very tender and you could cut it with a fork. I'll definitely return to this restaurant in the future.

Like the other L. George's locations I've been to, I was completely underwhelmed here. Prices basically suck for a coney. Everything is ala carte. When we asked our waitress if they had some kind of coney and fries or gyro and salad combo, she sighed heavily, blew her bangs out of her eyes, then rolled her eyes, and said "No, what's on the menu is what we have". What coney place doesn't have combos? The food was borderline ok, but the fries were cold and soggy and the coney was meh. Our table, booth seat, and the floor around us was covered in schmaltz. Ick. I was surprised to see this location so crowded, but it looked like a lot of people who just didn't know where else to go for something good to eat. Judgy of me, I know, but it is what it is.

The parking lot is always full, so we decided to give it a try. The service was fast and friendly, definitely good marks there. No lemon rice soup?! No mac & cheese except on Fridays?? (I have a young son who loves mac & cheese. Ok, I love it too.). I had the gyro, which was tasty. But I'd rather go to Leo's in Canton.

It's a diner. The service was quick and the waitress kept our glasses filled with soda, which I appreciated. The food was good, but it's diner food. Nothing special here. There is plenty of it and the price is right. For one entree and 2 drinks, it was $16 with tax and a generous tip. Definitely worth the money. A little far to go for a casual meal for me, but if I am out that way again, I would definitely stop by!

  • Holly P.

This place is a great coney...why because we never have to wait to get a seat even on the busiest mornings, the service is very good/fast, good food and it is cheap which is what a coney is all about. This is not 5 star dining food, but you can't beat their breakfast and the prices, you can get the same food at Leo's for double the amount. I am a fan a Leo's but it is so much more expensive and when you are eating at a coney you are not looking to spend a lot of money. Pancakes, eggs, ham and hash browns are all very good - hot and fresh to order. This is our coney in Canton for the time until another place opens up and proves to be better.

A major fan of this restaurant franchise! The food is the best tasting Coney Island period! No other Coney Island comes close to their great tasting Chili Fries with Cheese! The only knock on this restaurant is, it has NO DRIVE THRU! If you are a Coney Island fan you will definitely enjoy. Enough said, happy eating!

Top notch all the way around! I wish I had gone here more often when I lived closer by but it's still worth the drive. Once you go you understand why they always have cars in the parking lot. It's a favorite spot of many for good reason. They cook with copious amounts of butter but for every once in a while it's well worth it (specifically on the eggs and hashbrowns). I typically have the eggs, hashbrowns, and ham but have ventured out to the bacon cheese burger, gyro, and hot dogs. No issues yet. Portions are almost always twice what you should eat. That either makes for great leftovers or a bellyache you later regret. Either way, I wouldn't change a thing!

A few weeks ago, I stopped in this place with my friend Kevin. I'm one who is always up for exploring a new restaurant, and trying out their menu. Likewise, Kevin is pretty much the same way. This place looks like a typical All-American restaurant to me on the inside. There's nothing fancy about the decor compared to other places I've been to in the American Midwest. This is your typical small town Coney Island. I decided to play it safe and order a Turkey Rueben sandwich. Meanwhile, Kevin had a deluxe cheese burger with lettuce and tomatoes, which was very large. However, halfway through the meal he was complaining about the quality of the beef not being up to par. While I love a good Turkey Rueben with Thousand Island dressing, I noticed the strong taste on vinegar in my sandwich. This really unbalanced my tastebuds. I asked the waitress about this matter, she said that's how the chef prepares their Reuben's at this restaurant. So if you're looking for a great Turkey Reuben sandwich, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I've been to other Coney Islands and the ordered the same sandwich, which was far more tasty than this poor example.

The wait may be long if you visit on a Sunday, but it's SO worth it. Fresh brewed coffee, attentive service, huge portions and French toast that just melts in your mouth! After our party of five placed our orders, I swear the wait time for food was 5-10 minutes. Wow! I would normally take a picture of my food... But this is a place I normally visit and eat like a normal person. Guess I have some yelping skills to refine... Lol. Come here for breakfast. After eating here 3 times, I give this place a consistent 5 star rating!

Great salads and omelets. That's all I usually get there but it's always good. Huge portions too so you always have something to eat later. Staff seems friendly enough but I've never actually eaten there, just stop in to pick up something on the way in to work.

Great place for lunch - always busy and with good reason. Not fancy, just good food. I love the coney taco, my wife enjoys the tuna fish and the mac and cheese. If you come after 12:30 you can usually get a table without waiting.

What's not to like? Fast, efficient service. My coffee cup never went empty (almost a bad thing, because I was tripping caffeine balls by the end of breakfast). The breakfast gravy has a nice kick to it that's lacking at other breakfast joints. I love this place.

Fast and polite service. Plenty of staff and our water glass was never empty. The inside is very roomy and great for us claustrophobic folks. We got the organic spinach grilled chicken salad and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken gumbo was also magnificent.
