I've only ever been here for breakfast, which was pretty good, cheap and made quickly. Nothing spectacular, but a nice clean restaurant. Eggs are always cooked nicely, and I'm super picky about eggs. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Not a bad spot for a quick bite to eat.

Well worth going to. Food was good and large portion for the price. Service was very good. I will stop here again next time I'm in town.

Great food, love the variety and the taste. Prices are fair, service good. Recommend any Italian plate.

The food comes quickly, but it is disappointing. Everything seems to be made from canned, boxed or frozen packages. I heard waitresses talking about how long too microwave soup to get it hotter after customer complained. Nothing appeared to be fresh, made from scratch. Everything tasted starchy also.

Eh. Had chopped sirloin and potato. Staff was nice and they give you soup and dessert with your meal but the food was really subpar. Unless you're at the hotels next door you would be better off somewhere else.

I really enjoyed eating here. You can tell it's family owned. The staff is extremely attentive. Good sense of humor also. Had the country boy omelet, lots of food. Will look forward to my next visit.

This is one of our favorite Coney's to go to. We love the fish dinners... But, the BEST thing about this restaurant is the service. The staff really goes out of their way. We went for dinner when we were without power, and they seated us by an outlet, so I could charge my cell phone! Also love that every pot of coffee has freshly ground beans. This restaurant is great to meet people at, it's quiet, reasonable and you can really visit.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn next door during a major snowstorm, so we didn't want to travel far. We picked Jonathan's solely on location, but we were glad we did. It is basically a super-sized version of a diner. It has that homey "diner food" you can find in diners everywhere, but there's plenty of seating, nice decor, and it is wonderfully clean (something missing at many a diner). First of all, I want to say that the staff here was amazing. Everyone was really friendly and laid back, and the guy who I think was the owner was awesome. He even gave our kids lollipops on the way out. Really great service. The food was good. This isn't fine dining, but everything was good, and it reminds me of stuff a grandma would make. I had some fried chicken that was pretty good with decent mashed potatoes, although the mixed vegetables were a little cold. My wife had the chopped sirloin with onions, which also turned out to be good, if a bit overdone. The kids meals are a really good value. They are cheap and they give you a good amount. A couple of my kids wanted breakfast food, so we got the french toast and silver dollar pancakes, both of which turned out to be awesome. Jonathan's isn't fancy, and overall the food is just good (and not great), but I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again. The top-notch service and family-friendly atmosphere, combined with the solid diner-fare at reasonable prices, make this a great place.

We only get to Jonathan's when we drive downstate to go to Detroit Metro Airport. Jonathan's is almost like walking into your home, a pleasant refuge from the road or-- horror of horrors- airports and air travel. They offer American traditional food with a few Greek touches, such as the gyros, which is good. Order a meal and get a salad, a cup of soup (the chicken with lemon in the broth is surprisingly good), and a basket of breadsticks and the like. Don't overlook the corn bread, or whatever that muffin-looking thing in the bread basket is; it's about sweet enough to serve as your dessert. But if you'd prefer a real dessert, they've got you covered too. Aside from the gyros, I've also enjoyed a couple of their specials. They had meatloaf one time, beef tips with noodles another. They're in the same building as a Subway, toward the back, so perhaps a bit easy to overlook. They always seem to have customers, though, and for good reason.
