Antonio’s Cucina Italiana Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We had a great time at Antonio's last Sunday evening. The waitress, Angel, made the experience exceptional for us and our one-year-old daughter. We had bread quickly, which keeps our daughter happy. While we were eating our salads, Angel apologized for interrupting to offer us samples of the gelato - yum! Can't wait to go back :)

I do not understand how people like this place. It is the worst italian food I have ever had. My wife and I went once and thought it might have been an off night service wise, and maybe we didn't order the best things on the menu. But then out of town guests went there without us and gave the same feedback. The service is bad and slow, and the food is bland and dry. Maybe that's a category of Italian food that some people like. The chain restaurant Carrabba's is better than Antonio's.

We had eaten @ Antonios Cuccina in Canton when they first opened but not since. I made reservations for 8 people @ 8 pm on a Saturday. We arrived & when I told the hostess we were ready for those reservations she snarled that they didn't have any for anyone @ 8 pm. I explained I had made them a week prior & she said she "would see what she could do". Another employee got her attention & took us to a table where we were promptly ignored- no water, no acknowledgement, nothing. Other tables were being served all around us. Finally one friend asked if anyone was working our table-nothing. So we walked out & went next door to Bagger Daves where we received excellent, attentive service. We got the impression that if we had been "regulars" we would have been taken care of. Skip this place until management fixes their issues. Very embarrassing for us since we brought our friends. Would give this place zero stars but don't have that capability. Negative stars are deserved!

I always get a calzone. The past 3 times, they were burned, yet cold, unmelted cheese inside. I used to crave these, but no more. The service lately has been unfriendly, rude. Today the guy handed me my carry out and said nothing. No "thank you," "have a nice night," "here you go...enjoy!" Nothing. Service at our family party was bad last month. Carry out counter a few weeks before that miserable girl working. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Very impressed. I am picky about my Italian food. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was delish. The cheese is perfect and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The best part of Antonio's is the Gelato. They make if fresh and the variety differs each day. My family and I love trying new flavors. We decided hands down that lemon was the winner.

The place looks so nice but I wasn't impressed with my main meal. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it had no taste to it. Staff was very friendly. I would give this place another try but I would order something different.

Great staff.... However food is bland borderline gross! We have had their pizza and it's yummy, but that's all this place is good for. Canned tomatoes and mushrooms do not cut it. Bottom line if you want pizza and bread go there..... If not don't waste your money.

Not good at all. I ordered seafood stuffed shells. Terrible. Others ordered different sauces and very one of them was bland. There are better choices I the area, I'm sure. I should have consulted Yelp ahead of time.

Ate here on a Saturday night with my wife before we went out xmas shopping. The service was very good. James our waiter was one the best. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer . It was just ok. Way to many tomatoes and the presentation just looked blah as well as the taste. Next were the salads. Those were actually really good. For dinner my wife ordered the mosacotti* which she loved. I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It might have been the worst Italian food item I've ever had. The sauce was very bland the chicken was mushy and bland. And there was these pieces of chicken bone (2) in it. If I ever decide to go back ill definitely order something else. The only reason it got 3 stars is for the waiter. His service was excellent.

I'm straddling a 2/3 here. Went with three because the service was excellent and they were friendly. I don't like screwing over friendly people. Aside from the service... If you are looking to empathize with a crackhead, come eat some of Antonio's bread. You will then understand the power of uncontrollable urges. What happened to the bread basket at our table was almost embarrassing. It's good stuff. I ordered the veal parm. It was good. Not great. Good. The cheese had a weird flavor that I couldn't place. I don't know...something just tasted 'off' about it. The side of spaghetti was pretty much garbage. Not enough sauce. Kinda dry in general. The little bit of meat sauce that was on it was blah. We shared a few things so I also tasted the Chicken Cacciatore and the Pesto Linguine. The flavors in the Chicken Cacciatore were good, but the chicken was overcooked and noticeably dry. The pesto linguine was pretty good. It was probably the most successfully executed dish of the three. I agree with what another poster said - upgrade to the Caesar for $2.50. The salad is pretty considerable in size. We also tasted the cannolis for desert - those were very good. Overall...I think it's a 2.5 star place. I just don't think the food is all that good. The service is great. There are some definite highlights, but for the prices that they charge (mid-high teens for an entree), I kind of expected more. Not sure if I'll be back. If the name "Antonio's" were to come up in a "Where do you want to go for dinner?" conversation, I'd probably be lobbying against it.

Had my daughters bridal shower there last Sunday and I can't say enough good things about them! The food was so good!! The service was top notch! Our guests did not lack for anything! The room was beautiful. I highly recommend them for any occasion!

I ordered off the catering menu for teacher appreciation week. They made regular meatballs instead of Swedish so I had to wait. Needless to say I got to the luncheon late! I called the manager and he said "what would you like me to do about it?". Really? Wow! And then he told me he would have to talk to the owners cause he can't do anything. $50 for a tray of late meatballs! Never again. I still haven't gotten a call back.

It's not my favorite, but it's not Roses (which I really am not fond of). It's kinda hit or miss on the food and on the service. I was there just a few weeks ago on a Tuesday night and they were pretty busy. I couldn't figure it out until I realized it's BOGO half off on the pasta dishes. But personally, I would have rather paid the $5 we saved and not been there an extra hour. I was with family though, having good conversation and eating lots of their very yummy bread so it wasn't terrible. However, if I had to be some place after dinner I would have been freaking out. My standard is a basket of bread (okay, a half basket) and the lasagna. It's the best of the pasta dishes in my opinion. They don't go skimpy on the cheese and that's always a bonus. If you have room after dinner, get a gelato. The chocolate hazelnut tastes just like those Toffifay candies - remember those? How good are they?!?

My sister and I decided to meet for dinner at Antonio's. It was just after five on Saturday and the place was hopping. I arrived early and was promptly greeted and seated in a back booth. Familiies were digging into pizzas, pasta, and salads and everything looked promising. My waiter quickly got water and ice teas for us and i started to check out the menu while waiting for her to arrive. They had a musician playing in the front of the restaurant, which was a nice touch. The booth was comfortable, the place attractively decorated in a warm Tuscan style. When my sister arrived we took a moment to decide what to order. I had been telling her about Yelping and i said we should try several different things. She reminded me that I shouldn't eat carbs, which is a buzz-kill in an Italian restaurant. So, no bread for me! Or baked pasta, which I was eying up! She did allow me to get linguine with white clam sauce (my favorite thing to eat), once we found out that they had gluten-free rice noodles (did I say that she also thinks I have an allergy to wheat?). I also ordered some shrimp scampi to go, with a side of spaghetti for the loved ones at home to try. She got the salmon with a double side of vegetables(she has so much self-control!). The atmosphere could best be described as hyper-hyper-hyper! Servers were racing back and forth, customers coming and going, standing in the aisle was a hazard so you had to move fast if you needed to visit the powder room. Desserts were displayed on a corner of the hall just before you got there, so when my sister came back she said, "you gotta check out the cannoli", which I did when it was my turn to go! Salads came and they were a disappointment. Lackluster greens and some bitter balsamic dressing. We put the plates to the side. Soon after came dinner. Her salmon was well-prepared and flavorful, if a bit small. It came with an enormous bowl of dill sauce and lots of buttery vegetables. My pasta, on the other hand, was congealed on the bottom of the plate and took some work to get unglued. When I was finally able to get it into my mouth I was assaulted by an overload of pepper! It was so strong that my mouth was on fire. No garlic or clam flavor, just pure pepper. My sister tried it and told me to send it back, but I said no, I'll try to stir it up to see if it balances out. No luck! I had to give up and left half. My sister felt sorry for me and let me have some bread. She also ordered peppermint gelato to cool me off. Final impression-service top-notch, food so-so! So no more go to Antonio's!

My wife and I started coming to this place on a recommendation from a coworker. On our first visit, we fell in love. The service was wonderful. The bread is to die for. The food was delicious. Our first time there made such a great impression that we decided to have our wedding reception there. I will admit that there are somethings on the menu that are better than others. I like to try new things instead of ordering the same thing every single time. I've had some things that were very good and some things that were good but not great. Everytime we go, we always leave room for Gelato. The selection varies but we always find a flavor that we enjoy. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who looking to enjoy a wonderful Italian meal at reasonable prices.

I've been here many times, and tend to alternate between here and Rose's when going for Italian in Canton. I have a bit of a preference for Antonio's, largely because I find the spaghetti sauce at Rose's can sometimes be a bit bland. I can generally count on a solid meal at Antonio's, without any significant disappointments in food or service. Mind you, they can be quite busy, especially on Fri & Sat evenings, but they do have a large full bar that is good for whiling away the wait with a vodka tonic or 2. My wife, son and I met my Dad and Stepmother here for dinner on Sunday evening at 6:45. We were seated immediately at a large corner booth. The waiter promptly took our drink orders, though he did seem a bit rushed. Regardless, drinks arrived quickly and meals were ordered, followed immediately by one of my favorite things here: the bread. Tasty squares brushed with oil/butter mix of some sort. Delicious! Next came my side salad w/ house Italian dressing, which I also love. I ordered the stuffed seafood shells, a new pick for me. They were piping hot, baked under cheese, and contained plenty of crab/lobster-type meat. Pretty darn good. I've previously had veal piccatta, spaghetti or mustacholi w/ meat sauce, spaghetti carbonara, and spaghetti w/ garlic & oil. I've never been disappointed with any of them. My wife had baked salmon and green beans she proclaimed moist and yummy as well, though my son felt his calzone was a bit over-crispy. For dessert we split an cannoli, which was not so good. Over-cooked with little filling, I wouldn't recommend it. My son had some type of chocolate mousse looking thing which was gone before I really got a chance to look at it, so it must have been good. The waiter was attentive and polite throughout the remainder of our service. My only significant ding on Antonio's though has to do with the way the facilities are ageing. When built a few years back it was kind of Italian glamorous in a Donald Trump over-the-top style. But now I notice the ceiling, (which appears to be rough-cut stone) is actually a foam drop ceiling with some panels beginning to discolor, de-laminate, and sag. The old-world fresco wallpaper has splatters of oil and sauce on it in spots, and the table edges are looking worn. It's starting to look a little shabby around the edges, and not in a chic way. Management: This maintenance needs to be attended to IMMEDIATELY before it gets the look of a place that's past it's prime. Hopefully upon my next visit the facilities will be back to looking new & fresh again, so I can get back to focusing on the good food rather than wondering if they are falling on hard times. Stay tuned...

Have only been here once, and don't think i will go back. The service was decent, didn't wait too long. The waiter was friendly enough and took it upon himself to extensively explain the menu. Everyone says the bread is excellent, and it is. They serve you a basket full of warm, square pieces of bread, brushed with oil or butter, it was quite yummy. I ordered the carbonara. I asked the waiter if it was good. He said it's ok, because it's usually pretty dry. But he continued to tell me that if I ordered it, he would make sure that it wasn't. Well, when I got it, it was very dry and bland. My b/f got the chicken antonio, which was tasty. A breaded chicken breast smothered in white sauce and provolone cheese, with a side of fettucine alfredo. Pasta was over cooked and sauce tasted like it came from a jar. Caesar salad, nothing special, and the meatballs, not good at all!! Dry and bland too!! As far as chain italian goes, i think Carrabbas is better.

Pro's: Bread was tasty Chix Marsala was ok (sauce was more like rich gravy) Meatsauce was ok Good service I like the gelato selection (plan to try next time) Con's: Nothing special or memorable Prices a little high for the quality

Tried this place twice and didn't like the food at all. I think the Olive Garden would be better and that's pretty bad. Nice atmosphere but the pasta sauce is horrible and the salad dressing is boring. I grew up with some of the owner's relatives out of state and they did not cook bad pasta sauce ever so not sure why it's like this but yuck. Never going back. Sorry.

Totally awesome! Don't waste your time at big chain Italian restaurants like Carabba's, Carino's, or Macaroni Grill. You know it's good because of the giant marble chariot statue on the roof and the giant marble lions that greet you at the door!

My Valentine and I went here for our V-day dinner. I absolutely loved the service and the food! Staff is very polite and friendly. The one thing I will say is that I wish they would have dimmed the lighting a bit for ambiance, but other than that was amazing. Half off bottles of wine and the half carafes were a great price. It seems like everyone is saying it, but I'll reiterate - the bread is spectacular! Try it with the minestrone soup! For entrees, I had the stuffed shells and he had the gnocchi. They were of excellent quality and well-prepared. As we were walking out we noticed that they actually make most of their pasta in house, you can view the process from the waiting area! Would certainly visit again for a nice night out.

If presented with the option, I would give this place zero stars. My 12 year old daughter and I decided to dine here and oh boy did we choose the wrong place! We came on a Tuesday, buy one pasta dish, get one half off- excellent! We quickly decided what we wanted, closed our menus and waited. And waited...and waited... About 10 minutes later our waiter comes over. Perhaps we looked frustrated because the first thing he said to us was "Have you been waiting here long?" I politely informed him that it'd been at least 10 minutes. IMO ten minutes on a night when the restaurant isn't even busy is far too long. He then says "well we like to give our guests time to look over the menu." We felt like our mere existence was bothersome to him. He wanted to take our drink orders and return. What, really?! I politely told him we were ready to order. My daughter ordered first. She's only 12 so ordering for herself in a "nice restaurant" is still kind of a big deal for her. After choosing her entree, he asked what she wanted to drink. For the second time, she said water. Keep in mind, while taking our order, the waiter is also looking around the restaurant, very obviously distracted. Onward to the soup or salad question. Once again, my excited daughter asks about the different kinds of soup and salad offered. I could tell my daughter was uncomfortable at this point. The excitement of being out for dinner was gone. And once again he asked her what she wanted to drink, except this time it was 100% clear we were a burden. My daughter ONCE AGAIN repeated her drink. Next it was my turn to order. I was very fast, because at this point I just wanted him to leave. We were both felt so uncomfortable. We discussed our options. Either we deal with this rude waiter and hope the food is worth it, or we leave. The choice was easy. On our way out, we told the hosts we were leaving. I'm positive we looked upset because we were! They didn't bother to ask us why. We will never ever eat here again.

I hate to wait, and we always seem to wait here. We prefer the Dearborn Heights location to this one because 1) we don't wait, and 2) the staff is friendlier. One thing I do love at this location is the gelato bar! If they still have it, and you are a gelato fan, bypass the hostess stand and head straight to the bar. We ordered it for dessert one time and couldn't finish it, so they boxed it up for us in this really cool container that went in to the freezer. If you decide to eat some real food, try the Gnocci Rita Sauce or Mostoccioli Casseruola. Both are definite hits at any Antonio's location. Their bread and salad with housemade Ranch are also winner at any location.

This review is for the pizza. I'm glad such a great pizza place is close to my home. I've only had the hand tossed pizza (not pan) so far but I felt the crust was baked perfectly and had just the right balance of crispy and chewy. I've had everything from the meatiest combination pizza to the vegetarian and it all was delicious.

We've been to Antonio's several times and enjoyed the meals and ambiance. We went to the Dearborn Heights location and now we enjoy the Canton location. Great Bread, Antipasto Salad with House Dressing is Delicious and we kind of favor the Lasagna. On the most recent occasion we ordered a half tray of Lasagna to go with the Large Antipasto Salad and bread and it was fantastic. It's a sold four stars in my book.

First a warning--watch how your bill is presented to you. We were presented a bill with a suggested tip written on the receipt. I am not sure if they always do this or if it was because we were part of a large party of 16 in a private room, and requested 4 separate checks, but I noticed later that their tip suggestions were based on the after taxes total of the bill and not the food itself. This may not sound like a big deal, but this is a moderately priced restaurant, so the total for food and wine for our group of five came to $80. The suggested tip also included a $10 per person room charge. The total bill with tax was $134 .Consequently they suggested a 16% tip which by their calculation was $22 and a 20% tip would be $27. Based on the actual food costs this translates to a 20% and 33% tip respectively. I do not begrudge hard-working food-service workers but I think that this was misrepresentation. I do not think that the tip should be based on after taxes or the included an extra charge for the room. In their defense I have read recently that some of the credit card machines that are brought your table are also calculating suggested tips on the total including taxes. You should just be aware and make your own decision about the tip. Now for the food. I ordered the stuffed cannelloni with veal and chicken and that was fairly tasty, and they are well-known for their very good garlic bread. My husband ordered the mostaccioli casserole that was disappointing. It was very dry with almost no sauce, no flavor. Just broiled cheese on top. Almost like a macaroni and cheese. It had standard Italian sausages chopped up in it which were flavorful but overall a disappointment. Service was overall friendly and attentive, no complaints there, even on a busy Saturday night. Portions are generous, family friendly place. I would not probably go out of my way to go here again.

My family and I have eaten here several times. The pizza is always good. The manicotti and lasagne are very good. The chicken postino soup is delicious. The bread basket and service are good also. We are locals and eat here several times a year.

I like coming here with the family to get pizza and salad. We usually stick with plain old pepperoni and cheese and get a large antipasto, I love their antipasto salad! I have eaten at several of their locations and I like this one best. Last time I checked it was the only one with a gelato machine, yummy! Plus, for some reason, the pizza tastes better here. And the bread, oh the bread, heavenly! I should add that if I am not in a pizza mood I order the linguine al pesto with chicken. The pasta is so yummy and fresh, the pesto is so good, I sometimes get intense cravings for this one! The leftovers, and there is always plenty of those as the portions are large, always taste great the next day too! You also gotta love the sign on the door that says "no tank tops or bum wear". I have always wondered how loose that policy is...

I had my bridal shower here and the staff took really great care of us, especially Jamie and Amy (ha!), our servers. The atmosphere was a great mixture of openness and privacy, with just enough of a fancy touch to make it feel special. On the menu was salad, garlic bread (so good), chicken, veggies, and pasta. I loved all the food and only wished I was able to enjoy it more without having to make the obligatory rounds! They really did a great job with the setup. We were in an area immediately to the right of the front door, where there were 3 booths and 2 long tables set up, plus a cake table. One of the booths was used as the gift table and it worked out great. The area was also adjoining a side door, which made the loading of gifts very easy. I really enjoyed myself and I know my guests did, too. I would definitely recommend holding an event here. For all of the dishes I mentioned plus ice cream and soft drinks, it only came to about $20/person including gratuity.

I do love Antonio's. The is so much to love that it's hard to boil it all down. Here goes... The homemade pastas are all amazing. Meat sauce, marinara, Alfredo, etc they all go well. The gnocchi is great too. The Rita sauce is an unexpected twist. Lasagna, cacciatore, chicken parm, doesn't matter what you pick. It's all good! The pizza is delicious as well. Top it off with gelato. If you have never had it then you don't know what you are missing. It is extraordinary. Like ice team on steroids, it's just so good. So, um yeah, check this place out.

After years of driving by the place - I finally decided to stop into Antonio's recently. My family and I wanted some Italian, but wanted to take out. That doesn't leave much in the line of places to go. I knew of a different place in Canton already - but was unsure on doing the take out thing from their and wasn't necessarily blown away by their food other than the pizza (this was Palermo's I am talking about). So on a whim - we stopped at Antonio's. I can't comment on the service at length because we ordered out. But I will say the hostess was very nice and helpful - identifying where we could go to initiate our take out order. The bartenders where very helpful and informative on recommendations to order and keeping us informed. The on bartender told us how long to expect to wait and checked on us from time to time with that information. The food was great and very tasty. The pasta is made onsite (the even have a room near the entry way to observe it happening). So you know you're not getting some boxed junk from the Meijer's next door. My wife's cheese tortellini was great (with peas and cream sauce). I had a past with meat sauce (sort of like a vodka sauce) and it was really good. My dad had lasagna and enjoyed it. The bread is great. Apparently made on site too and very tasty. We also got antipasto which was extremely good and straightforward (not layered with some Italian dressing that often ruins what you really want in the dish). They have a desert counter which look very appealing with some nice sweets. The inside if very pleasant, sharp, clean. Great décor with the roman architecture and sky ceiling. Pleasant. Overall - I was very pleased and shocked I never stopped in before. We definitely will go back in the future. Nice restaurant spot in Canton that I would recommend.

After driving past the restaurant on our way to the gym for a year, we finally decided to stop in. We came in for a late lunch so it wasn't too crowded. The inside is very nice and pretty spacious, not like places where the tables are right on top of each other. Our server Miranda was wonderful and took very good care of us. We tried the calamari Limone to start. It was delicious but the sauce was the best part- it was Amazing. I usually don't go for garlic bread too often but this was to die for... so good! I had to stop myself from devouring it. For our entree's we split the Chicken Cacciatore and Lasagna. Both were very good and filling. We had about half of our whole meal left over after we had eaten as much as we could. For the size, I felt the price was very good! I will definitely come back here the next time I am craving some Italian food!

My wife and I went here for dinner and loved the menu and the feel of the restaurant. Too bad all we got was the feel. We arrived and sat down quickly at a table and waited for our waiter to bring water...and waited...and waited...and waited. Hostesses, managers, waiters, bus boys all walked past us and nobody noticed we had nothing on our table but menus. I'm 5"11 well over 300lbs, I'm not easy to miss, but somehow they did. It got so bad that my wife begged to leave and I told her no, we were going to sit here just to see how long it took to be recognized. After nearly two hours my wife got fed up with ME and went to speak with the manager. The manager returned and apologized only to offer us free cocktails. I DON'T DRINK!!! Furthermore it is my understanding that you are not allowed to give out free liquor in Michigan. I will never return to this restaurant because not only were we ignored, but we also got shortchanged by the manager. After two hours the LEAST she could have done was comp our entrees.

This is the first time I've been to this location, and was a little concerned after reading the reviews. We really like Antonio's, especially the bread. That's a good enough reason to go. My husband was so tired & not interested in going out until I mentioned where we were going, and quickly changed his mind. We met a friend for a late dinner last night. It was not busy at all, which is okay by me. Our server was great & very attentive. I ordered a half carafe of wine, and she poured our first glass. You would think that's how it should be, but I've been to many restaurants where they just drop it off w/ the empty glasses. I like the consistency in the menu. I know that no matter which location I visit, I know what to expect. Our favorite dishes are the Gnocchi Rita, Stuffed Shells, Chicken Antonio, and pretty much any of the pastas. I had the Chicken Marsala, which is good, but not the best I've ever had. Afterwards, we went to the bar so my husband & friend could smoke & we had one more glass of wine. I definitely didn't need that last glass, but the bartender was very nice & enjoyed the conversation.

Antonio's (and their original spot, Roman Village) is one of my favorite Italian places in Michigan, but I have only ever visited their Dearborn Heights location, as I moved out of state a few years ago. I returned for a semi annual visit this past week, and tried the Canton location with a group of 8, including 3 children. It was lunch on a Saturday, right when they opened at 1pm, and it was PACKED. They have a large parking lot, with overflow parking available in the adjacent lots with only a short walk. This location is very large, probably twice the size of the Dearborn Heights location, with private rooms available for showers and parties, two of which were being hosted on this particular Saturday. The decor is ornante, beautiful, and modern. They spared no expense on this location. It is beautiful. It was very clean. Given the 2 large private events they were hosting at the time we were there, service was slow. Also, we were seated off of the main dining area, which made us less visible, so things like drink refills were not done as quickly as I would have expected. I did like the seating off of the main dining room though, since it gave more space for our table, and it was less crowded. I've had better service at the Dearborn Heights location, but even so, the service we received was still better than most other places, and it appeared to be well staffed. The house dressing is one of the best things about this place, second only to the bread (I try to avoid carbs in my regular day to day life, but I splurge whenever I visit Antonio's during my semi annual Michigan trips, since it is simply that good). Linguine Arrabbiata is probably my favorite dish on their menu, as the spicy sauce is so flavorful. Their Greek salads come with so much feta, it's unreal. Delicious. They make their pasta from scratch here, and they use old family recipes. I was worried that this location would lack the quality of the food I'd been enjoying for so many years at Roman Village and the Dearborn Heights location, but I had nothing to worry about. Joe and Rita's same old recipes are in place at the Canton location. Their prices are still so reasonable it is surprising. HUGE portions. Better prices than chain restaurants, a far better quality, an extensive menu to suit any palate, children's selections, generally just an upscale meal at half the price that you expect. This is a good, family owned, local favorite. They've been in business for generations, and they keep drawing more and more patrons. It has been a favorite establishment of my family for as long as I can remember. You won't find better Italian food in SE Michigan. I strongly encourage you to give them a try!

We go here ~1x month, so we like it. The spaghetti carbonara is good as are several other dishes. I think their vegetarian pizza is the best pizza in Canton. This is not a value for $ restaurant. A bit pricey for most dishes of their type and substitutions (even to a different type pasta noodle) is an up-charge. Service is usually pretty good. Better quality all around than any of the franchise places.

My husband and I went after they first opened. The service was good, but the food was blah. I visited again for a girls nite and ordered pizza after recalling my first visit. The pizza was fine, but nothing more impressive than you could get at any local Italian restaurant (Roses, Palermo, Amantea, Mama Mias and Pias all have really good to great pizza). My husband wanted spaghetti tonite and suggested Antonio's, clearly not remembering our first visit. Once again, the service was fine. With the exception that on busy nites they apparently open the banquet room for seating and expect the wait staff from the main room to serve the overflow. Not at all inviting and as you would expect, spotty visits from the servers, as they were serving 2 rooms! Food: The bread is awesome, no kidding on that. My minestrone had a nice deep favor, but was a bit salty. But like other reviewers have noted, the spaghetti was awful. It must have had 1 pound of pasta to 1/4 cup of sauce. Seriously, once he mixed the sauce into the noodles, they weren't even pink. He asked for more sauce, they brought another 1/4 cup (ramekin). When he turned up his nose at that, the waitress said her management would make her charge for more sauce, which we said fine. So for $1 they brought another 1/4 cup of sauce. The sauce was not rich or deep, just chopped tomatoes and meat, not " gravy" style. Sorry Antonio's, you dropped the ball, and we'll move on. It was just so underwhelming. We are Canton residents, and you lost us forever, we have tried....if you want great spaghetti, try Andiamos.

Antonio's Cucina is a sister restaurant of Roman Village in Dearborn. Personally, I think RV is the best homemade tasting Italian one can find in the Detroit area. Antonio's is a close second. These two restaurants have the same menu. We sat on the patio at Antonio's and had a nice early dinner. The bread is phenomenal! We stuffed ourselves on the bread first, then couldn't finish the entree. One note: this restaurant is on the corner of Canton Center Rd and Ford, not where it shows on the map here. The address is slightly off. I've emailed the restaurant to fix their address on their website.

We were referred to Antonio's by a friend we weren't aware they take reservations so our wait was about 45 minutes. But it was definitely worth the wait they were so crowded but our food came out quickly and it was amazing. They make their own breads and pasta there it was all so good I had to take a picture of the bread because I think it was glowing like a little basket of heaven...lol. Try it I think you will like it we had a great server she was quick and sweet.

It isn't horrible but it isn't spectacular. There are two things about this place which I will go back for. Their warm garlic bread, it always comes out fresh and hot and you get unlimited refills on it too, and second their gelato was pretty amazing as well. I would recommend their terimasu gelato. Other than that the marinara sauce was not so great and I don't know if it's just me but it seems as though their whole entire staff has some kind of face piercing...nose, eyebrow, lip I dont know about you but the atmosphere they try to promote isn't really exemplified by their staff.

I went to this place with my Fiance about a week ago and I must say, that if they offered ZERO stars, this place would get it. First off.. We were put on a waiting list when there were at least 6 tables (that I could see) open. We waited about 10 minutes...ok, whatever. No big deal. I was slightly entertained momentarily while watching the lady make the homemade pasta. Second, when we were seated, we waited about 20 minutes before the waitress came. We knew within 3 minutes what we wanted to eat, so we looked like a couple of teenagers when we started playing games on our phones for 15 minutes... The bread was great. I'll give them that. But I'm not spending $20 an entree just for good bread. Now onto the food. Being my first time there, I wanted to play it safe. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. Pretty standard (and popular) meal choice, I would think, for an Italian establishment. Its hard to mess it up. When it came, i took a bite of the chicken. Here we go....First of all, when the waitress tells you that the Chicken Parmigiana is one of your most popular sellers, there is no reason why it should be FREEZER BURNED. Yes, the chicken was tough, hard to chew and had a very strong "freezer" taste. Like when you leave meat in the freezer for 6 months, uncovered, and it develops that god-awful taste and texture. Even when I drowned it in spaghetti sauce and cheese, the freezer taste still overwhelmed everything. I'm not one to make a scene, but I just could not eat it, and I wasn't about to spend $20 on freezer burned chicken. I simply left everything on the plate, including the spaghetti in hopes that the waitress would notice that, and when she came back, she simply asked if I was finished. With an exaggerated "yes", she looked at me and just took the food away. Didn't ask if anything was wrong. So I stuffed it on bread and some of my Fiance's Lasagna. I would expect a lot more from a place like this. Safe to say I will not be going back.

One of my favorite restaurants. I frequented the one in Farmington Hills so I was really excited when they opened the one in Canton (where I live) a few years ago. Anything I've ever ordered has been amazing. It's also a favorite restaurant among my family and friends. It's a place we go a lot to celebrate birthdays and special events. The bread is to die for, food is reasonably priced, service is always good. Obviously they are doing something right because this place is always packed and they keep expanding to new locations! Highly recommended.

The three stars is for the food, strickly the food. We were there around 5PM on this Saturday. This was a second visit, the last being over a year ago. The waitress today was distant, absent and had some attitude. Not certain what was the deal with her, but she should not have been waiting tables today, at least not ours. Back to the food. The pasta shrimp amore and the vegetable lasagna was excellent. The garlic bread was right out of the oven warm. We ended the meal with a triamisu that was light, but very rich and flavorful. We will go back again for the food. I'm looking forward to trying a pizza.

Best Italian in the area (my favorite is Buca in Livonia). The bread is amazing and so are all the pastas. Tiramisu is awesome (Buca is my fav with this also but this place is second). The pizza is pretty good, better than the fast food pizza joints, not greasy. Love that they have a patio and the service is always great.

We went as a large group for my husband's birthday. I had never been, but they had. We were in the banquet room with absolutely zero ambiance. I guess they figure the guests you're with are ambiance enough. Our waiter wasn't horrible, but he was one of those who you had to tell him everything because he anticipated nothing. Yes, a woman does need a glass for her beer. My husband went to hunt one down and was told that the waiter would get it asap. He forgot to bring out my son's meal with the gargantuan sized pizza we ordered for the table but acted as though it was no biggie. I can't complain about the price, it was a Monday and the pizza was half off. You can't beat that with a stick!!! It was really crowded, but for me, I'd rather spend a couple extra bucks and get better service and atmosphere. Sorry, my dinner-mates weren't ambiance enough (they were all in-laws!!) .

I came in from Chicago to see some friends and this restaurant came highly recommended. Pulling into the parking lot you really get a sense that a great deal of effort and expense was given to this new building. Walking in has you expecting a truly authentic Italian meal. They certainly didn't disappoint. I try to eat as healthy as possible, but who are we kidding? It's Italian food. This is definitely not the place to leave you appetite at home. Between the generous portions for the appetizers and the my dinner, I was utterly stuffed. Just when you want to ask for the check and roll yourself out, they ambush you with the most amazing looking desert tray. At that point all reason gets thrown out the window and you're trying to figure out how you'll finish this fantastic piece of tiramisu. The service was top notch. Mostly young kids, but they didn't have me waiting one second longer than I had to for my drink. Keep my libations full and I'm a happy customer. All in all a great dining experience. I even told my fiance that this would be the location in Michigan that I'd like to have the wedding reception.

I'm surprised the reviews for Antonio's isn't that good. Like Maria said, it wasn't spectacular...but it was doable. Basically its a family oriented restaurant, so that's the type of ambiance you are going to get (as opposed to an Olive Garden). The bread is pretty good, and my favorite items would probably be the chicken alfredo and this other chicken meal (I forget what it's called!). They also make their own truffles, which is pretty good as well. The meals are moderately priced, spending roughly $8-$15. I guess it's a toss up about your experience going here (as i read the other reviews) but I definitely didn't hate my experience.

The service is pretty attentive here, and the garlic rolls are nice and warm and fresh. Other than that, the recipe book needs some major overhaul. The marinara sauce tastes like someone put a giant jar of tomato paste on top of the pasta. The calamari is oversalted. Also, we were told the wait would be about 40 minutes and waited over a hour; we then waited for quite some time for our food to arrive. This may not have been entirely the restaurant's fault as apparently they had a party of 40 come in at 6 p.m. on a Saturday, but it was still pretty annoying. There are just much better Italian restaurants out there, don't waste your time with this one unless it's convenient.

I have found Antonio's to be hit or miss. On a recent visit, my boyfriend and I ordered the polenta with meat sauce, including a meat ball and a piece of Italian sausage, for an appetizer. It was a very generous portion that we both really enjoyed, and I found the meatball to be quite delicious. Make sure you like fennel if you're going for the Italian sausage though! The bread the wait person brings is delicious, and I could probably just make a meal out of polenta and their bread (mmm, carbs). The dinner salad left much to be desired; the housemade Italian dressing was okay, but there was nothing else on the place except for some lettuce. Okay, and one tiny slice of cucumber and one tiny slice of tomato. What, no croutons?! My boyfriend's minestrone soup tasted like Campbell's to me. For dinner, we both tried dishes we had not tried before, mine being the meat tortellini alla panna (ham and peas in a cream sauce), and his being the spaghetti carbonara. Mine was okay, not great, but not bad either; a little less cream would have probably made it better. His tasted and smelled like breakfast spaghetti, but we figured the ingredients did include eggs and bacon, so....... Since we ordered an appetizer and ate almost a whole basket of bread between the two of us, plus salad and soup, there was more than enough of the entrees left over to take home, which is always a plus. As for the service.....our waitress was decent; she had a positive attitude and took her time bringing the courses out, which we enjoyed. However, we had both ordered adult beverages and she never asked if either of us would like another, although she was very attentive with the water. I'd go again, and probably order the polenta with meatballs as my entree. To be honest, the bread is so good, I'd go just for that.

Like so many other reviews say this place is hit or miss. Carry out is always a hit with my family and we'll probably continue to get pizza here. My last visit, however was a definite miss. We had a large group of 13 (reservations for 15,but two didn't show). The service was great. We had two waiters who were very attentive and quick. The stars are for them. We had the fixed price family service where you get bread, salad, pasta, pizza and some spumoni. The salad and bread were good as usual, but the pasta was very bland and over sauced and the pizza was missing the usual cheese and seemed under cooked. Dessert was fine. Our outrage came with the bill when they tried to charge us for 18 people because that's how many they set the table for. Really?! I don't think so. When we questioned the manager about it, he was immediately defensive and started to argue with us (instead of being apologetic and wanting to make it right since we ARE the customers)...you could tell that he thought he could just pad the bill and we wouldn't look at it and would just pay it. Yes, the wine was flowing, but we could still add up the bill correctly. Of course we would pay the bill for the 15 since that was what the reservation was for,but add another 3 because you think you can. NO. The owners of Antonio's should be ashamed to have their establishment represented by someone who clearly has no managerial abilities. Demote that guy back to the dishwashers and promote one of your awesome waiters. Large groups should each order off of the menu, the food will be better and also watch your bill for padding!

I go to this restaurant a few times a month during my lunch hour. I like the Minestrone soup, it is why I go there. It is a meal in itself, and the bread that comes with it is very good, although soaked in butter. It would be nice to have a less-buttery whole wheat option. I also like the variety of gelato flavors that are fresh made every day. I don't like their spaghetti noodles, they are too fat, but I must be fair and say I am partial to penne, Mostaccioli, and angel hair pasta, so it is more an issue of personal taste for me. You can request other pasta, although at times, i have been told no when I ask for substitutions. If you don't like smoking avoid the area to the right of the host station, it is close to the bar and very smokey. There are a few corner booths that fit extra people, and a back room for big crowds, and a patio that overlooks the parking lot and Ford Road, but has a high wall and statues to try to make up for the view. If you are on a budget, the soup is almost a meal in itself, also there are many sandwiches and pizza for under $10. I am not a fan of their spaghetti sauce, so will not review it. The paintings in the main dining room are very vivid and pretty. There is a wall of wine bottles that hides the wait station. The booths have windows. My twenty-something kids like to meet us for dinner here, and I have a friend with 9-11 year old girls who love to go for the soup & bread and gelato. It is a nice place to have dinner with your family, there is a good variety on the menu. There are some special nites, one night they have half price bottles of wine, you will see gatherings of women sharing the wine on those nights (good nite to meet the girlfriends). There is also a nite that has a special on pizza, call to find out which night. Some evenings there is a guy who plays a mandolin, I think that is what it is, and sings Italian songs. Nice ambiance, but you can only hear him at the host station and bar, can't really hear the music once you are seated, but that can be nice if you just want to talk and not have to talk over music. The service is hit or miss, as others have said. I asked for a different pasta with the veal parmesan and was told "no" because it is baked together ahead of time...but when the meal came the pasta was not baked with the veal, they could have easily changed the type of pasta, but just chose to refuse my request instead. I didn't go back for a long time after that, it really put me off. Now I am back, I go for the soup, and usually the service is okay, but once in a while I have to go chasing down my change when I put cash in the black payment folder, do people often give 40% + tips - I had very clearly asked the waiter for change back and 20% was what I intended to leave, not 40%. So watch to make sure your change comes back, maybe they are just busy and forget. Also, when we asked for an extra cup to split a small gelato we were told "no" because the plastic gelato cups come from italy and are expensive, I grabbed a coffee cup from the waiter station on my own, since he didn't offer any alternative, and used that to split it. Expect to hear "no" more than "yes" here when making special requests. Lost one star for that!

I'm surprised at the low ratings others have given this restaurant. It's not a high-end Italian restaurant, so the prices are reasonable. I absolutely detest Olive Garden, but I love this restaurant. They have homemade pasta your kids can watch being made in a little room in the front, the service is good--not fabulous--but this is the kind of place I meet my husband for lunch with our three kids. It's run by an Italian family with somewhat old-world Italian taste which accounts for the horses and other statuary. Not how I'd decorate my house, but it gives me a giggle here. The sald is pretty typical, but the pasta fazoul (ok, I don't know how to spell it) is fantastic. I've never stayed to have dessert, so I can't judge that course. As for going next door to Max and Erma's--if you were from Canton and had gone there a couple times, you'd discover that THAT is the restaurant with horrible service. Antonio's is a simple, nice Italian restarant with acceptable service and fantasitc pasta. Try the gnocchi--yum!

Went on a Saturday night for my birthday, the wait was only about 30 minutes....not bad. I ordered Cannolini and my hubby ordered Mostocholli with meat sauce and meatballs. He also had the chicken pastini soup. The soup wasnt the greatest. The bread......to die for.....my main course was decent his was not very good at all, very dry lacking flavor, admittilty were are Italian food snobs since I make this at home, but his was almost unforgivable. The gellato was tasty but could definitely work on presentation. 3 flavors smeared into a childs plastic cup really threw me off.

Still great food, but they have changed things, a little at a time. Pizza is slipping, not as much cheese, or added toppings less. Salads with more rotten edged leaves, tomatoes with bad spots, even the ranch dressing doesn't seem as tasty as it use to be. Still good, but maybe not so great.

My husband and I were excited to eat here because we've heard good things especially about their bread. However, we found the food to be no better than many fast food pizzerias and way overpriced. The bread was tasteless and oily. The fettuccini Alfredo was no better than what I've gotten from cheap pizza joints, the appetizers were obviously frozen or mixes. The only decent item we got was the pasta shrimp amore which was pretty good. We won't waste the money here again.

When It comes to anything Italian, Im always looking for that one spot that I will keep going back to because of its consistency. Antonio's has been that spot for me over the last few months. I have gone to the Dearborn Heights location numerous times and decided to try the Canton location for a change of pace. I was not disappointed. For one thing, anywhere I can get linguine with white clam sauce is a plus. The Canton location does seem a bit bigger and more room for large parties. In fact the day we went all of the rooms were booked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff friendly upon entering. We were seated and browsed the menu for my usual choice. I ordered Linguine with white clam sauce with extra extra extra garlic. And I was not disappointed. The dearborn location doest quite get the stress of the garlic, because this came out with tons of garlic just as ordered. Fresh and hot along with hot bread and butter you cant go wrong. Service was wonderful and have been back numerous times since ordering different items and was never disappointed. I will continue to go to this location because of the attention to what our requests were. They also have a big list of Gelato that I don't believe the Dearborn Heights location has. Next time your in Canton and in the mood for some freshly made pasta and wine, definitely try this place.

I want to like this place!. I have been here multiple times over the years and I want to like this place I really do. But...its just not that great. Service always been pretty good nothing to write home about but nothing to really complain about either. It's the food that leaves you just.... wanting something better. Don't get me wrong the food isn't horrible it's just not great and for the price their food should be great. Their food should leave me wanting to come back for more. And every time I go, I am reminded why I haven't been there in a while. The pasta maybe homemade but it isn't all that great frequently it's either dry and lackluster or overcooked and mushy. I don't find the food all that authentic compared to any other Italian restaurant in the area. I found the pizza to be tough and their new panini's that brag that they use Cantoro's bread were dry and flavorless. And they aren't even pressed paninis...they were toasted subs. It's sad because Antonio's had really good bread. People rave about their salads but I don't consider cutting up a whole bunch of romaine with some dry chicken on top of it and some lackluster dressing to be a great salad. I can buy some romaine from Kroger and a bottle of Kraft. I wish this place was good because it would be an awesome place to go for anniversaries and birthdays and Sunday dinners but it's just not that good and every time I go I spend $40 or $50 for 2 people and I am sad.... Food quality is just meh...and honestly..sadly...sometimes I wish it was Fazolis again. At least Fazolis' meh food was cheap.

Pretentious build out. Overdressed waitstaff considering most of the servers are no better than those of coney islands. Management table touches happen to those they know and are comfortable with. Lately the bread which use to be wonderful has been baked inconsistently. The red sauce pasta dishes are generally very good but the white sauce, like Alfredo, I find a bit dry for me. Heaven help you if they get busy enough to open an used banquet room, by doing so this is supposed to make a diner happy. Just because they eliminated the line at door doesn't mean issue is solved as the servers don't know enough to pick up tables in the other rooms that just sprang up on them. Usually spotty service. Acceptable food and to date I've never been thanked by anyone for coming in and spending time.

As always the vegetarian lasagna and Greek salad were amazing. Unfortunately the air conditioning went down before we got there, and they had a packed house for dinner. Aside from the heat it went well. The server was on point and very pleasant. It could have gone much worse.

Food was great but... Service was a hot mess. Our servers name was Edwardo. We started off on a good note. We ordered a glass of Red Sangria and a Miller Lite in the bottle. Both of these are already made so you would think that it would take no longer than a couple of minutes to bring them back. It took about 15 with no exaggeration. After that our waiter was not even ready to take our appetizer order. He was assisting with a very large party that was in the banquet room next to us. We were completely sympathetic to that having both worked in restaurants and bars. However an apology and explanation goes along way. We spent all of our evening waiting on drinks, bread, cheese and our waiter. The appetizer came up pretty quickly but our waiter was not the one to bring it to us. We actually did not see your waiter again until the final entree came out. At that time he told us about the air not working and about how busy HE was. Looking around we were not the only patrons that were upset. This definitely was a bust for service. The final straw was when we asked for a box just like everybody else around us and our waiter handed it to the service support gentleman and told him to give it to us. Now Antonio's is not a ritzy restaurant by all means but I have come to love the service that we received on going there. I looked around at all the other waitresses and waiters were boxing up food for their guest and our box was just left on the table. I can't say that I will be back there anytime soon but I might want to carry out the service is better that way. Couple interesting points :they have no beer on tap and they make their own pasta and Sangria.

This restaurant has a good reputation, but this location is having staffing problems. Three out of four dinners came out fine, but my dinner was incorrect. I asked the waiter to take it back and bring what I ordered. He refused and instead said I had to talk to the manager. While waiting for the manager, my party ate their dinner. After a 15 minute wait, the manager came and I pleasantly apologized and said she would hurry my dinner. Another 25 minutes went by while my party finished their dinner. Dishes were cleared and still I had not been served. Do yourself a favor and consider another restaurant when planning a night out with friends.

Very nice atmosphere. Pasta and everything is homemade. Pizza and bread is some of the best I have ever had. Great place with multiple locations. This is a family owned and ran restaurant. Also have wonderful takeout service. I suggest trying one of everything on the menu. I have personally tried everything that they make and everything is absolutely delicious. Wonderful hosts will greet you wile entering and management will make sure your enjoying you whole experience. They also have large rooms for party's of any size. This will become your new favorite place.

Will not be back here. Love Antonios in Dearborn. We have been here in Canton several times and the management is awful. Waited forever for our food and it arrived cold. The waiter sent the manager to the table and he said "well what do you want me to do about it?" No apologies, nothing, and it's not like it was busy at 7pm on Thursday night. Rita and family, please fix this!!!'

Normally we go to the antonios in the heights.. And we never have issues. We were invited to a family members little wedding dinner @ the location in canton.. Looked beautiful on the outside. You could tell it was roomier than the one in Dearborn heights. We walked in & we were directed to our own room. My godmother decorated beautifully and it all just fit in together and looked super cute! Now before I go any further.. There were 8 tables. And 8 people @ each table. We had about 4 servers I believe. Our male server who didn't even introduce himself.. (Usually what people do! For example: hello my name is Joe & I'll be taking care of you guys tonight!) nope. None of that. Had a blank expression on his face from 630pm-10pm. (That's how long we stayed.) he took 5 of our drink orders and forgot the other 3.. I had to call him 20mins into the dinner to remind him that he didn't finish our drink orders.. Mind you like I said in the beginning.. This was a dinner party.. And out of every place the bride & groom chose to eat @.. They chose antonios. We should be getting served & taken care of like NEVER BEFORE. THIS IS A CELEBRATION. HAPPY CELEBRATION. Too bad I was upset the whole time w/ our service! Our server kept coming around our table but completely ignored us. And everytime he did come around he always hAd the same look on his face .. Mean!!!! Unfriendly. Never smiled and never talked to us. So anyways I got ahold of someone else. My father wanted a beer & she named what they sold. He asked for a corona she managed to come back around with a Heineken.. Okay. No problem. My fathers not fussy so he drank it. Later on in the evening I called her back when my father wanted another beer because he had finished his first- I also mentioned how she gave him the wrong one.. She just looked at me with no expression.. No apology no nothing. I was waiting for an I'm sorry! Would you like a corona now? But no. Nothing. Now when I kept going outside/ to the bathroom.. Everyone was so kind. Every time I'd walk out they'd say have a great day even after telling them 10x I wasn't leaving! They always had smiles upfront @ the counter. Too bad we didn't have them as waiters. The food was phenomenal.. Especially the breadsticks. Another issue I had with my experience last night was everytime I'd ask for a bread refill he looked mad. We asked for about 8.. He didn't even fill the basket everytime! There's 8 of us.. What are we going to do with 5 breadsticks? Near the end most of us @ our table asked for cappuccinos. They were bitter at first but after the sugar I put set in.. It tasted better. I believe the restaurant provided us with sweets.. Kifles/ pizzelles. And those were soggy. Probably wouldn't come here unless I got invited to another gathering- I have an antonios right next to me. With great food and most importantly even better service!

I have had many of the meals that this restaurant has to offer and I have been delighted each and every time! I highly recommend this outstanding and most elegant dining experience! The management and staff make you feel so welcome and the food is allways outstanding! This is the place to have a great meal with anyone you want to impress! They also have very impressive banquet rooms that will make you feel that you picked the perfect place.

This is a great location between our friends in Ypsilanti and our place in Dearborn Heights. Food is always good, bread is wonderful. House salad is basically a lettuce plate with nothing fancy. But the pasta. The pasta is worth the visit. We look forward to our next visit.

I'm going to second what many of the other reviews are saying, this place is alright. Not exactly deliziosa, nor is it food court Sbarro, but it's straddling somewhere in between. The ambiance is pretty nice: think cozier than a Macaroni Grill, slightly higher rent than an Olive Garden and as a Michigan run and operated establishment since 1964, you can feel good that you're supporting locally owned, i.e. non-corporate, business. Highlights: bread was very good. Like someone said, it tastes almost flash fried given the oily crunch of it. I unknowingly asked for olive oil and vinegar, anticipating the bread, and ended up dipping it in even more fat. Yummers! Mastaccioli in Rita Sauce was good; think of this as a super bacony macaroni tossed in a mushroom tomato and cream sauce. Delicious and huge portions! Gelato was also lovely. The Disappointments: Whatever you do, you should upgrade to the caesar salad. Its $2.50 extra, but it's pretty nice. The house dressing on the regular salad makes me want to swear off vegetables and red wine vinegar forever. It's just so wrong! Whatever happened to old fashion creamy italian? Chicken Marsala looked like chicken chunks in a gravy pool and tasted like the wine wasn't cooked all the way. It was very disappointing. I wasn't very impressed with their spaghetti with meat sauce either (accompanying the Marsala); it was acidy and almost too tart. The OKs: Fettucini Alfredo. This was very simple, almost too simple a dish of noodles and cream. Not much hint of garlic or parmesan cheese. I think they just pour the whipping cream onto the noodles and add a pinch of cheese. Satisfies the salt and fat craving, though!

Gluten free pasta! They have rice spaghetti or ziti that you can subsititute in any of the dishes. We went on a Wednesday and for every two entrees you had the option to purchase a bottle of wine for half price. Great deal for larger parties in particular (we had 6, so 3 bottles of wine). Our server was very attentive, even after we had paid and were sitting and finishing wine and chatting he made sure our water was full. Also, the entertainment up front is extremely interesting...

If you are gluten intolerant then this is not the place for you to eat. They have gluten free pasta as an option but I don't trust them after dining there this evening. My stomach is reacting as if I ate regular pasta. Both my daughter and husband who ordered regular entrees disliked the food so much we didn't even pretend we want the food boxed to go. I think the waitress was surprised to see how little was eaten. So even if you are not gluten intolerant? I would not recommend eating here.

Wow - unbelievable. We order anti-pasta salad and the are out of green olives ( the reason my wife orders it). So we ask the manager for a discount and he tells us it is AGAINST POLICY. WELL IT IS AGAINST MY POLICY TO RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT.

Yeah. Ummmm not loving this locale and am pretty much done. Food was fine up until the end. Small quibbles about service issues but really no big deal. Salad with ranch, tasty. Bread good. Seafood stuffed shells, delicious. Spent all of dinner perusing the gelato menu, which for some reason pissed off our waitress. She scolded us more than once to eat our dinner first before thinking about dessert. Ummmm mom? Weight watchers police? Huh? You do realize this means more money for both you and the restaurant, right? At any rate, nothing stood out as outrageous. Yes, we packed up a couple of the shells to go apiece but we still did order gelato. We had the Bella Nutella, I believe it is called. We had studied pretty hard and she knew this but waits to spring on us until the second we order that they are out of many of the gelato flavors they advertise in that sundae and also just in general. Ugh. Last second changes from caramel (which I am soooo craving) and yellow cake flavors (they did still have banana) to the two best substitutes we could find in thirty seconds or less, chocolate and chocolate chip. Sadly no amaretto or hazelnut either. It comes out, no cookies on top as advertised, they show four or five and we got nada. Eh fine, whatevs. Bite into the banana gelato, nice. Bite into the chocolate, good. Whipped cream? Tasty. Nutella drizzle? Orgasmic. Chocolate chip gelato? Ugh. Gross. It tasted goat cheesy to me, spoiled milky to my husband. Both of us braved a second bite and blech. Tried to eat the banana and chocolate that did not touch it at all as our waitress was then MIA for about ten minutes. Waitress came, we explained the situation and she rushed off. A couple minutes later the manager comes over and tells us that four staff members have sampled it and see no problems with it. Ummmm ok. Then tells us they are giving it to us gratis but no it's definitely not spoiled and that its just our palettes. Oh kay. Several minutes of this until we get the point that... A) He thinks we are liars B) He thinks we are trying to freeload him C) He is giving us a freebie despite A and B because he has to D) He thinks we need to be aware that he is onto us. First off, it was a forty buck plus dinner, before tip, yeah I'm put into a poor house with that five buck shared dessert buddy. Insert eye roll. Second off, I never asked for anything free, I actually was concerned the gelato might be off at best and spoiled at worst. Either way I am trying to help you out. Third, you are behaving like a douche for no reason. If you are comping me there is no point in making me feel awkward about it, you are not getting money for it either way. Poor poor poor customer service. Food was great but honestly? We will never be back. I am easily insulted but get over it quickly. My husband? Yeah it takes a whole hell of a lot to piss him off and he really will never return. Insinuating he is both a liar and a freeloader will piss him off.

Went this time to try the pizza. It was the worst pizza I have had in a long time! There was practically no sauce on it and for being thier special pizza ,it was bland. I won't be eating that ever again!!!

This is a decent Italian place just off the endless Ford Rd strip of strip malls. We get carry out from here once a month or so and are always satisfied. The portions are fat American large and the gelato is very good. 5 stars for the Chicken Pastina soup! We'll be back many times I'm sure.

Went tonight for dinner. Service is lackluster at best. The the calamari limone was fabulous. Huge portions! A step above Olive Garden. At least the food didn't seem microwaved.

One word: DELICIOUS! If you are looking for an italian restaurant that has it's own uniqueness to it, try Antonio's. Everything is delicious, from their delicious homemade bread to their homemade pasta. I love their ravioli with meat sauce, the meat sauce is just about perfect. Their lasagna is also another great thing to try! I always get wonderful service here, everyone is so nice. Our servers go out of their way to tell us about their special promotions, and to make sure we're happy. The last time I was there I decided to try their white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and boy, was I happy! Next time I plan to try their gelato.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
