New owners took this landmark restaurant over four years ago. We used to go there many years ago, but it had become dirty, smoke saturated and the food was only fair. NOW it is clean, bright and cheerful inside. It is family owned and operated and I love it! Last Sunday afternoon I met a friend here to work on some computer work. The owner (or manager) was very helpful, helping me sign into their WIFI. But the best part is the food - all made fresh and delicious. They also have home baked CAKE - one was three layers (yellow and chocolate with pink frosting and sprinkles). The frosting was a little uneven in it's application and I loved it because it looked like on I may have gotten as a birthday cake as a child - and tasted wonderful and fresh. The hamburgers are delicious, as was the sirloin/cheesy soup. The wait staff is friendly and attentive without being pesky. It was obvious from the conversation of the manager and staff that they all love working here and seem to celebrate life - very good vibes. I know they are open till 8pm every day except Sunday when they close at 7'pm. Give this old favorite a try and support a local, family owned business. You'll love it!
