Won't be going back. We tried this place based on a recommendation from someone who I never should have listened to. The first thing I noticed was that the place was dark and dingy, and the floor was scummy. Even managed to find a dead bee on the ground right away as well. Nice touch! Speaking of nice touches, how about some signs on the wall telling you that you must eat everything on your plate.... Not kidding! Lol. We were scared to eat even before we sat I did find a few things on the buffet that were sort of ok I guess, but nothing stood out. I even dared to venture over to the desert area just for kicks. Tiny squares of weird dried out cakes and cookies. Wow. I can't recommend this place at all. Go to Empress of China or Gourmet Wok for great Chinese food. Stay far away from here! You shouldn't be afraid to eat at any restaurant, ever. We even covered up the remaining food on our plates with napkins and got out as quick as possible. Had to make sure we weren't going to get abducted by a strange large Chinese man and beaten severely in the back room for not eating all of our food.

Came here for a Chinese New Year celebration. Not much to offer in the buffet. They had some specialty Chinese dishes for the night, it was okay. Won't say it was great. Just a hit or miss with certain dishes. When I went in, the food seemed cold. The peanut chicken had lack of taste and it was oily. I enjoyed the seafood soup they provided for the New Year's dinner. It was surprisingly flavorful. The service wasn't too bad but the place isn't exactly the cleanest restaurant around.

Where do I start? Well let's start with the drink. I usually don't drink soda but a coke sounded good. That should have been the first sign that this place was doomed. The glass was only 3/4 filled and flat like it was poured out of a week old two liter bottle. Onto the salad. Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and some nasty looking coleslaw. As for the main course - standard buffet faire, only it looked like it had been recycled from the lunch menu. Dry, limp, tasteless food. Well, the dessert can't be too bad, right? Wrong!! Cookies, jello, canned pudding, a couple cakes and something that was supposed to be cheesecake. The only good thing was hand dipped ice cream. And people filled their bowls like Mount Rushmore. On top of all this I felt out of place since the dress code included a four tattoo minimum. Guys, a word to the wise, please leave the tank tops at home. Especially the bear that decided to wear his. Run, don't walk, away from this place.

I actually like this place. The food is good. They make really good sesame chicken. Kids love the options as well.

Watch out! The food is only so/so and the conditions inside are bad! This is the dirtiest place EVER! I worked near by and had an occasion where a co worker brought back to work take out that had a FLY inside. Bad bad bad.... Read for yourself the conditions the health department found on their website. GROSS!

They are located in the plaza where VG's and Home Depot are, across from Courtland Center. They offer a $5.59 lunch buffet, all you can eat. various mix of chinese. 4 stations to choose from, plus one additional raw food station for those who wish to make their own ala Mongolian BBQ (you pick it, they cook it). we had lunch here. The Flint Journal (newspaper) had an article this past sunday touting them as the best chinese restaurant in the area. Let me just say, I don't know what kind of crack they are on at the paper, but they need to pass that pipe because they've had too much apparently. This place was NOT the best chinese, in fact it rather disappointingly sucked. you can't beat the price though, i'll give them that. Your gut will thank you for skipping this place. 1 star.

This place is pretty good. The atmosphere kind of sucks, but the food is pretty good. This is a Mongolian BBQ also, you can take raw food up to have it cooked right in front of you. This is reasonably priced and has a lot to choose from. Like I said the atmosphere is kinda of scary lol, but food is pretty good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
