During my visit a young girl whose name starts with a C (not sure if I should call her out on Yelp) took my take-out order. She was not very familiar with the menu and tried to charge me extra for chicken on my chicken olga. I had to point out to her that on the menu, chicken is part of the olga. I ordered an add-on side of curly fries and an add-on side of zucchini fries. When she repeated the order back to me, she had entered two curly fries (zero zucchini fries.) She had been distracted by someone else talking when I was ordering. The zucchini fries are awesome, and are the main reason I come to Olga's. Without them, I would have been devastated. I also ordered two add-on quinoa salads to our olgas. She added two FULL size salads to my order. I had to correct her. I also pronounced quinoa several times to her, but she apparently didn't hear me because she still insisted on pronouncing it incorrectly. I asked for the dressing to be on the side. When I got home, I was pleased that our salads were not drenched in dressing, but there was also no dressing at all in the bag. She just omitted the dressing, rather than giving them to us on the side. I gave her my Rewards card immediately upon walking up to the register, but she somehow forgot to swipe it to see if I had any special offers. I caught it at the end, so she entered it at the end. I feel I probably missed a deal. The whole process took way too long. She was very nice, but needs to be fully trained before operating a busy take out register. Also, I am disappointed that I can no longer create my own coupon on your website. I have been told that my discounts will automatically pop up when I give my card at the register. I have not yet had any discounts offered to me at all. I am not pleased with your new "rewards" system. The nearest Olga's is a half an hour drive from my home, yet I still make a point of seeking you out because I enjoy your food. Please don't take away the incentives for me to go out of my way to go to Olga's.

There are a few points I need to make about this s place and Olga's in general. 1. They all seem to operate differently for some reason with slight menu and pricing variations. Very odd 2. The food portions are very inconsistent from location to location. 3. The food is still very good. You can't go wrong with the all you can eat soup and salad. Best deal and the cream of broccoli is awesome.

Okay food, when I finally got it. Slow service and the food must have waited before it was brought out to me.

Will not be dining here anymore. They have continued to make portions ridiculously smaller (the "side salad" is literally 10 pieces of iceberg lettuce with 1 little slice of onion, 1 little tomato, and 1 olive served in a tiny little dish that Elves would eat out of - not joking!!) all while keeping prices the same or raising them. Also - the spinach pie is just awful now. :/ Used to be delicious and full of flavor. Tastes frozen and very bland. So sad! Used to love Olga's!

I've always been an Olgas fan and was delighted to find one so close to home. Was highly disappointed. My booth was sticky, and had to ask the waitress to wipe it down three times, and the seats were torn up. My menu had stains on it, and my cup had a small piece of lettuce crusted on it. I've been there three times and have gotten sick after it each time. Much disappointment.

I'm very disappointed that they no longer offer Olga bread with the Unlimited Soup and Salad. I'm not a fan of snackers or the cheese so my only option is to be charged for the bread now and the Olga sauce. Second issue: the service was horrible. Waitress messed up the salads, brought freezing cold chicken then just microwaved it so it was warm and rubbery. I know it's just Olga's but still I am paying for the food. She went on to forget the cheese for my husband's a snackers. After that we waited forever to get refills on salad or soup and beverages. We won't be returning to that location again

Food is always good... The fruit smoothies are so delicious and fresh! The wait staff could use some improvement. Drinks should never go dry as the Sahara desert without ice! To find your waitress when it's time to pay the bill is usually a struggle as well. Just ensure you are not in a rush to get anywhere!

How can they call it curbside pick up when you have to go inside to get your order? I even had employees walk past my car and didn't say a word while I waited nearly 10 minutes. My order was just sitting on the counter, so by the time I got home, it was lukewarm. I have enjoyed Olga's food since it was an option at the food court within Summit Place Mall in the 90s. The quality of food has been lacking for a while now and the portion sizes are terrible in ratio with what you're paying. Over $40 for dinner for 2 (before tip) should leave me satisfied and taking home leftovers! Overall I enjoy Olga's, but the service is slow and and some of the employees are not service oriented nor friendly. Perhaps other locations are a bit better, but we shall see.

Updating this review but original star level stands. The service seems to have marginally improved. However, in my three cheese Olga, when I cut it into 4 equal parts, only the center two had cheese on them. There was abundant tomato, but it was underripe. Perhaps it's just this location. I had a visit at the Wixom location that was much better.

According to the waitress, "This Olga's isn't quite as up to date as the other ones around". At this Olga's the fries are an extra $2.90, salad and soup is even more tacked on top of an already expensive sandwich cost. Looking at my bill for two, I feel as though I'm paying for a fine lunch dining experience. $34 dollars for two sandwiches,(the pita can almost wrap around twice with as little meat thats in there),two sides, one fountain drink and a basket of snackers. The Olga's in Novi includes sides with the meal. Apparently each chain sets different prices for the same exact thing. Oh well, sorry Brighton Olgas. I'll be going to the one in Novi, which for the same meal only costs $25. Aside from the cost, there is nothing terribly wrong. The service is fine, atmosphere is "so so", food is small in portion but always warm. UPDATE: While i appreciate the outreach from Olgas, showing me they obviously care about the poor reviews they have been receiving recently, Trying to fix their high prices by offering their olgas rewards members deals which can also be redeemed at any other olgas does not fix the problem with this specific Olgas high prices. If you give me a five dollar coupon, im not going to go to Brighton when i can redeemed it at the Olgas in Novi and make my already reasonable bill even lower. If these deals were unique to the Brighton restaurant, i could perhaps see why they would raise there prices to give the illusion of that super saver coupon. The point i am trying to make is that this is a chain restaurant. There are a few within a twenty minutes drive of this one. Why is this the only one that has such high prices and extra fees? Sorry Brighton Olgas ,but the rewards card and 5$ coupons redeemable anywhere does not fix this.

For casual fast dining, very few places offer what Olga's does. Fresh brewed Iced Tea, Fruit Smoothies, their Signature Olga bread and sauces, great quality ingredients, and friendly fast service. As a chain, this is what makes Olga's a success. This local store offers a quick take out area or a full service dining room for lunch and dinner. Lots of booth or table seating to accommodate small to medium size parties and free wifi if you need to work while you eat and meet. There are plenty of healthy options if you're counting calories or have a special diet, otherwise the regular options are indulgently delish.

I was very disappointed with this Olgas. I ordered a carryout. The good: The girl that answered the phone was nice polite and helpful. I ordered a basket of snackers and the oriental Olga sandwich. They do curbside to-go which is awesome and and great and convenient service. The person bring my food out was friendly and nice. she was out to my car within a min or 2, which was great. She had appropriate change on her which most of the time at any Olag's i have been to they never seem to have change and have to go back in to get it. The bad: My snackers were not good at all. hardly cooked. i was super disappointed because i love snackers and was really looking forward to them. My sandwich was not the best. I ordered the oriental vegetable Olga and the one i received was the veg one but it also had chicken on it, which I'm assuming i was charged for but didn't want it or ask for it. I fed the chicken to my dog so it didn't get wasted and she loved it lol Overall the staff was great but the food left alot to be desired. Ill prob give them one more shot. Maybe it was an off day for them. But as of now i do not recommend this Olgas location unless u want overpriced crappy food.

I found this gem between a Panera Bread and Starbucks, so appropriately located. My waitress told me the founder (Olga) used to sell her bread pudding pushing her cart through the streets in the 70's. Love this kind of story. After a loyal following she opened her first restaurant, and now there are 30+. Olga's Kitchen has since gone Corporate and deservedly so. That has not tempered the service level or quality of food. I ordered the Spinach Cheese Pie and Broccoli Soup combination. I don't usually go for bread pudding but after I heard her story I gave in. And glad I did. Mark my word's, this Chain will continue to grow as long as they maintain the standard that has been their trademark. I will look for this restaurant the next time in Michigan and hope this chain comes west to California.

Date of Visit: July 2, 2011. I used to go to Olga's because of their sauce and Olga bread, but find my current visit a little disappointing. I ordered the Classic Meal. The fries were limp and could have been cooked a little longer. The coleslaw was a little warm, so I did not want to take the chance to eat it.. Although the Server was very nice and came to our table a few times, it took a while to get our meals (and they are not busy at all).

Outstanding! The gyro (called an Olga here) is great as well as the zucchini fries. We'll be back over and over...

I've seen Olga's kitchen everywhere throughout the metro Detroit area, so I finally got down to trying it. I guess the best way to describe Olga's would be a "slightly upscale coney island". Then again, I'm not really from Detroit, so maybe that's not even close. I had the regular Olga Sandwich--which is basically a gyro (and a small one at that). Nothing really special about this gyro at all--I'd much prefer a HUGE, greasy gyro from a run-down Vienna Beef shop in the south side of Chicago. I will admit though that the pita here was delicoius! What would make Olga's WAY more appealing to me is having non-waiter/waitress service. More like a Panera Bread. If I'm looking for a quick lunch, the last thing I want is to wait to be served--I'd much prefer to order my food, seat myself, and go as I please.

I went here b/c it came highly recommended. Boy was I disappointed. I got carry out, and I couldn't believe how small the portions were for the price. For one, the lemonade was ridiculously pricey and small. Then we got some sort of Olga tizers or Olga snacks. I dunno, everything on the menu is Olga this and Olga that. The Olgawhatevers were limp and salty. Next, the Olga sandwich was gloppy and fell apart. I mean, I could have rolled some pita bread around a couple of hunks of meat and made it hold better then they did. To make matters worse, the carry out was packaged in about 5 different Styrofoam containers and other non recyclable cups and such. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Maybe I caught them on off day. Will try again in the future.

I love Olga's. Used to go here pretty often growing up, but now that I live in OH it's a lot less frequent that I get to one. The regular gyro and fries is always a great way to go and the orange shake is really good too. The olga salad and bread are a good choice too if you're really hungry and need something else.
